Parador de Cádiz (Cádiz, Andalusia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Spain’s state-run paradores are often, but not always, restorations of historic properties — this one, in the ancient Andalusian city of Cádiz, is shockingly modern, a glass monolith set between the historic city center and the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms and suites benefit from floor-to-ceiling windows, and while the sea-facing ones are most desirable, the hotel’s position makes for fine city views as well. A tapas bar and a fine-dining restaurant present a range of gustatory options along with marine panoramas, and the spectacular outdoor pool is backed up by a gym and a capacious spa." - Tablet Hotels

Parador de Cadiz | Best places to stay in Cadiz, Andalusia

"Cadiz’s parador is a big, bold contemporary statement in glass and steel, in a bodacious seafront setting next to La Caleta beach on the edge of the Old Town. The famous light from the Bay of Cadiz pours through windows that occupy the entire outer walls of the rooms, offering superb sea views (others overlook the Parque Genoves gardens), and illuminating comfortable, unfussy minimalist interiors. There’s a handsome spa and gym but the x-factor has to be the vast seaside pool and sun terrace, although the glass-walled tapas bar comes in a close second. Definitely a place for few days of seaside R&R while enjoying the charms of Cadiz. " - Dana Facaros

The location was beautiful being right next to the beach and we had views pointing out to the sea which was lovely. Then rooms were spacious and clean and offered a bath and shower with a full hair dryer (not travel size), towels, robes and a safe. Check in and check out was easy and smooth and the staff were super friendly and nice. Breakfast was included in our room and they had a big spread of continental breakfast but a limited “cooked” breakfast however they do offer omelettes and eggs made fresh which was a lovely touch and they were cooked really well. We didn’t eat at the restaurant on site so cannot comment on that. The only thing we felt let down on was the offering of a “spa” - the pool is small and you have to book your slot in advance. You’ll only get an hour and a half and pay €20 off peak season. They do however offer an extensive list of massages and facials you can opt for we didn’t arrange this. I would recommend booking in advance as times get booked quickly.

Phenomenal hotel. Rooms are high tech, roomy and well equipped. Pools are amazing. Views from the rooms are phenomenal and patio space was awesome. We used the spa thermal circuit and loved the Nordic spa feel after a long day on the bicycle. Pools look awesome, though we were off season in Nov, so didn’t get to use it. Breakfast was plentiful and typical of the parador chain.

We stayed here in January 2024 in a suite. The room was initially very impressive, with avant-garde design and incredible views from the 5th floor. The whole building is in a very modern style as well. But it turned out to be over engineered, the lights were a nightmare to figure out how to use. The shades were not properly working. It was quite cold but the temperature could not be increased to more than 25°C in the room. The bed was good, the bathroom with the stone bathtub more beautiful than comfortable. It was more to impress than to use. The breakfast was very good. The hotel has a very convenient underground parking. The location is excellent right at the shore, surrounded by a park. It is very quiet. Overall a good place, certainly the best hotel in Cadiz.

We indulged ourselves and had booked a junior suite. It didn’t disappoint, with the large two room suite having expansive views across the Bay of Cadiz. In addition to the bedroom and lounge area, it had two well appointed bathrooms and its own private balcony. The decor was modern and a nice change for us after 3 weeks of more traditional lodgings. We were extremely comfortable for the 4 days we stayed.||The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was extensive. ||Although a little out of the centre (10 minutes walk to the central market), it didn’t feel far away from anywhere, and the views more than compensated. ||A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The location of the hotel is good, 10-15 minutes walking to most of the tourist places. If you are expecting this hotel to be 5 start property it is not. The rooms are average they are run down. I requested for a queen/king size bed but they don't have it in any room, two separate beds are joined. Air conditioning doesn't work we had to ask for fan. Basic amenities like kettle, coffee, tea nothing in the room.

Great hotel, great location. We booked a superb room with a fantastic view. For the high level and the respective high price we find that some furniture (like old and shabby sofas) and details need to be upgraded in the room. The breakfast room is quite noisy. But overall we have nothing really to complain, we had a great stay and will most probaly come back 😀

We have just returned home after spending 3 nights here and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The rooms are luxurious and offer amazing views with a completely sliding door to make the room open plan with the balcony which we loved. The bed in our room also faced out of the window which we loved but noticed not all rooms were like this. The breakfast was okay but there were lots of birds in the breakfast room (despite it being fully inside) which kept landing on nearby tables and did not make the breakfast experience very pleasant. The pool area also does not look like the photos (i want to say for the better) however the pool is freezing cold and beware if you’re coming in late september/october despite it being 30 degrees every day the pool bar is closed meaning u can’t get a drink at the pool and the only option is buying your own from nearby shops as the drinks provided in the mini bar were all in glass bottles. We didn’t use the spa facilities but as our flight home was late we used the pool on the last day and then were allowed to use the showers and hairdryers and changing rooms in the spa building. They did the job but I unfortunately could not say they were nice. There was a strong smell of drains and only 1 small bench to change on (I have definitely used nicer spa changing facilities). I suppose though if you hadn’t checked out already and were using the spa, you would go back to your room to shower. Overall the hotel was in a lovely location with amazing views and did the trick for our short stay in Cádiz

Had a lovey corner suite. Impressive ocean view and sunset. Close to centre. Breakfast staff (Veronica, Inma) are most helpful. Breakfast buffet is varied. Will certainly go back if we are in Cadiz area.

Yelp
It's a tapas restaurant facing the Atlantic Ocean, we're here for the famous tapas tasting, Laura was super nice taking our orders. We start with their local wine from Castillo de San Diego, paired with a jamón Ibérico, assorted local cheese!!! A must try Erizo Del Mar, and boquerones rellenos, it's to die for!!! Definitely will be back for more
