Parador de Cádiz (Cádiz, Andalusia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Spain’s state-run paradores are often, but not always, restorations of historic properties — this one, in the ancient Andalusian city of Cádiz, is shockingly modern, a glass monolith set between the historic city center and the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms and suites benefit from floor-to-ceiling windows, and while the sea-facing ones are most desirable, the hotel’s position makes for fine city views as well. A tapas bar and a fine-dining restaurant present a range of gustatory options along with marine panoramas, and the spectacular outdoor pool is backed up by a gym and a capacious spa." - Tablet Hotels

Parador de Cadiz | Best places to stay in Cadiz, Andalusia

"Cadiz’s parador is a big, bold contemporary statement in glass and steel, in a bodacious seafront setting next to La Caleta beach on the edge of the Old Town. The famous light from the Bay of Cadiz pours through windows that occupy the entire outer walls of the rooms, offering superb sea views (others overlook the Parque Genoves gardens), and illuminating comfortable, unfussy minimalist interiors. There’s a handsome spa and gym but the x-factor has to be the vast seaside pool and sun terrace, although the glass-walled tapas bar comes in a close second. Definitely a place for few days of seaside R&R while enjoying the charms of Cadiz. " - Dana Facaros

Fabulous location and gorgeous sunsets. Hotel really clean and staff excellent. The pools and pool area were really good. Our room was large, sunny and bright. My only comment would be that our shower area was starting to look a little tired and probably it’s time for an overhaul. Didn’t use the restaurant but used the bar a couple of times. It was ok - but when you have the traditional bars of Cadiz on your doorstep why would you frequent a hotel bar.

Enjoyed my stay here. Facilities are great and very clean and modern. Pool area is great with plenty space and three nice pools. Breakfast is very good too with plenty of options and easy to get a coffee. Room was nicely decorated and I enjoyed the sea view. Only disappointments were no iron/ironing board in the room which I needed and the parking charge per day (~€20) seemed a little on the high side. Would definitely stay again should I visit Cádiz in future

Google
Great location but service mixed and pool bar food expensive and poor quality 😦 breakfast was very poor given the price you pay for the rooms. We had a junior suite with sea view which was an amazing room 👍. The pool area is very nice with lots of sun loungers. Overall feel Parador rests on its name and is not reflective of the price you pay.

Google
Unbeatable location and infrastructure. Surprisingly good food too. It was a bit expensive during holiday season but the experience was nice. However, the organization of the service is below the bar. And it's not staff who are less tentative - they are. The problem is the organization. No one great me for breakfast. I stood there for 5 minutes; the warm food session of the breakfast had a long queue without any people working everyone else was busy with something else; the swimming pool run out of towers... If they have a process they wouldn't have these problems.

We had an excellent check in with a lot of information. Our standard room was great with an awesome view. This is the place to stay in Cadiz with both worlds at your feet: the beach is next door and the historic center and restaurants are 29 minutes away walking. Other jewels are the pools and terrace, the Parador even provide you a towel to go to the beach. Thank you!

We stayed for 5 nights, 1st time visiting Cadiz. ||Lovely hotel, perfect location in the old town. Plenty of parking in hotel garage & parking charges reasonable. ||Very large pool area, spotlessly clean, towels available & no shortage of beds. We ate at the pool bar, burger, Atlantic brioche all very nice, would definitely recommend. ||We had a slight issue with air con (June & over 40 degrees) which was rectified immediately.||I would definitely recommend & return, just a few niggles:||Pool opened in the morning, but pool bar didn’t open until 1 pm. & usually quite a long wait / queue. ||Breakfast buffet was delicious, plenty of choice. But all hot food not self service, so a wait / queue if you wanted the hot food already available or your omelette cooked fresh. ||But I would definitely return & recommend.

Parador de Cádiz is an amazing hotel and certainly the best in Cádiz. The rooms are beautiful and most rooms offer a view. The terrace is wonderful to enjoy breezy morning and evening drinks. There's a casual bar and restaurant overlooking the walkway and a more formal dining restaurant. Breakfast was sumptuous and the staff very polite and caring.

This modern hotel is centrally located to beach and sights. Parking for a fee is under the building so very easy access. The check in was easy and the breakfast was comprehensive and tasty. The staff was very friendly. Our suite was very spacious with beautiful ocean views. Our beds were very firm. Would recommend if you want something more modern.

Yelp
It's a tapas restaurant facing the Atlantic Ocean, we're here for the famous tapas tasting, Laura was super nice taking our orders. We start with their local wine from Castillo de San Diego, paired with a jamón Ibérico, assorted local cheese!!! A must try Erizo Del Mar, and boquerones rellenos, it's to die for!!! Definitely will be back for more
