Parador de Cádiz

The hotel feels very high-end and luxurious. Our Junior Suite was extremely spacious, featuring a living room and a huge balcony with a lovely sea view. The room layout was also very creative. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The parking is extremely spacious for European standard! The location is slightly away from the old town, about a 10-minute walk, which we appreciated, as it’s quieter and not right in the center. Overall, a fantastic stay

Do yourself a favor and absolutely do not stay here. I have never stayed in such a dirty room - I truly felt not ok having my toddler in that room. The rooms are horribly outdated and the crevices have so much grime and little hairs. The balcony is dangerous with the stones coming up. The door handle broke off and sliced my husband’s hand badly and the front desk shrugged it off. The ocean views aren’t even really of the ocean, but of the roof, so being ocean front is truly not worth it. The pool is FREEZING and absolutely can’t be used at all. But the worst part is how badly our room started REEKING of sewage - we complained multiple times and the front desk kept sending someone to just spray an air freshener. This hotel was just incredibly strange (it feels like a 70s mall in the lobby?), dirty, and way way overpriced. It’s truly more of a one star hotel.

We spent two wonderful days at Parador Cádiz and were extremely pleased with every aspect of our stay. The location by the ocean is truly unbeatable, offering stunning views whether relaxing by the pool or enjoying breakfast. Our room was modern, spotless, and very comfortable, and the staff consistently delivered excellent service—always friendly, efficient, and helpful. The restaurant offered delicious food and the breakfast was fresh, varied, and generous. We also appreciated how calm and well-organized the hotel felt, even when it was busy. Overall, everything was absolutely top-notch and we can highly recommend Parador Cádiz. We would be delighted to return in the future.

beautiful modern hotel, with stunning views over the sea. Gorgeous bedrooms, with superb views and spacious balconies. Fabulous swimming pools, vast and empty in September, a real delight. Good poolside service, lovely wines and sherries.|Everywhere was quiet, serene and spotless, just exactly what we wanted for a holiday, yet we were within easy walking distance from the heart of the city. I cannot fault the staff, they were without exception absolutely first class. We asked to change rooms after the first night, and they could not have been more accomodating. The beds are huge, the showers and baths are sumptuous and everything works well! |My only 'eyebrow raise' is the design of the bathroom. There was no privacy. I could see my husband shaving at the handbasin from my bed. Worse than that, the glass door to the lavatory area is transparent. I averted my gaze! He assured me he did likewise! Apart from this amusing experience, we cannot fault the hotel - it is simply gorgeous and the staff are hte best you could find anywhere.

Modern hotel next to Cádiz’s old town and right by the sea. The location is very convenient for exploring the historic center. We chose the underground garage despite being next to the public parking lot. It costed less and felt secure, even in stormy weather. The beach is practically in front of the hotel, perfect for a relaxed stroll and enjoying the ocean atmosphere. There is also a playground for children on the right side. Architecturally, the Parador reflects Spanish early-2010s post-boom design: restrained forms, a strong focus on light, views, and the relationship to the ocean. Sure, after more than a decade of use, some aging is visible. Particularly in joints, surfaces, and a few worn areas. Although renovation work is ongoing. Despite this, the hotel still feels contemporary and pleasant overall. Our room for three people was beautiful, with a balcony and a side ocean view. The third complimentary bed is cleverly integrated into wooden cabinetry. Spacious interiors for that category with metal, glass, and marble elements, very comfortable mattresses, clean bedding, and excellent Wi-Fi made it easy to fully relax. Staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly and helpful. The breakfast we were offered had a good variety of specialties, and the breakfast team in particular did an excellent job despite the disastrous weather in Andalucía during our stay. All this harsh critique about aging were counterbalanced from the benefits. Thanks again for having us!

Overall, common areas are modern and spacious. Some rooms have beautiful views over the city, botanic garden, and sea side. The hotel also offers very good facilities such as the pool, jacuzzi & gym. The breakfast is exceptional with lots of variety to pick from.However there were quite a few disappointments: service at the bar was really bad, with staff sighting and making faces when you ask to order something, the inner spa is at additional cost and the rooms are very small which does not make it worth the price we paid.

The location was beautiful being right next to the beach and we had views pointing out to the sea which was lovely. Then rooms were spacious and clean and offered a bath and shower with a full hair dryer (not travel size), towels, robes and a safe. Check in and check out was easy and smooth and the staff were super friendly and nice. Breakfast was included in our room and they had a big spread of continental breakfast but a limited “cooked” breakfast however they do offer omelettes and eggs made fresh which was a lovely touch and they were cooked really well. We didn’t eat at the restaurant on site so cannot comment on that. The only thing we felt let down on was the offering of a “spa” - the pool is small and you have to book your slot in advance. You’ll only get an hour and a half and pay €20 off peak season. They do however offer an extensive list of massages and facials you can opt for we didn’t arrange this. I would recommend booking in advance as times get booked quickly.

The hotel sits at a beautiful location at the ocean front of Cadiz. Each room appears to have an ocean view with a patio. Parking our rental car was easy. The buffet breakfast had lots of variety. I had read the reviews about the bathroom privacy issues and asks ahead for a private bathroom and they were able to accommodate, which was nice.

I can't say enough about this hotel. Elegant, clean, great costumer service, great location

It's a tapas restaurant facing the Atlantic Ocean, we're here for the famous tapas tasting, Laura was super nice taking our orders. We start with their local wine from Castillo de San Diego, paired with a jamón Ibérico, assorted local cheese!!! A must try Erizo Del Mar, and boquerones rellenos, it's to die for!!! Definitely will be back for more
