My dining partner and I both had the lunch specials - Kung pao with tofu and Pad See Eiw with chicken. Lots of food for the lunch special price - includes a bowl of miso soup and a small salad with ginger dressing. I like how my dish was served in a bento box - pretty cool. Only one person serving both dine in and take out but wasn't super busy and she was efficient.

Google
Having Pad Pak lunch special with tofu ❤️ Started on the miso soup before taking the picture. 🙂 Paragon is so nice and the starting miso soup so good, had to leave a review.

I love sushi, and food here. You will love all kinds of sushi. Also the food is great. It is not super cheap, but affordable and compare to quality, it is great. The only reason that this place does not deserve a 5-star review is angry water/waitresses. They are usually slow, and they are helpful.

Google
We had really amazing lunch with a really good price deals. Like BOGO sushi rolls and $10 lunch specials. The food itself was really delicious. The sushimi is very high quality and for the price can not be beaten. I would highly recommend the Orange sauce stir fry with Chicken. It’s a simple dish that gives you a very filling and delicious meal.

Google
I love Siam Paragon. My family and I come here all the time for sushi. It's always delicious, my mom loves the drinks the server Jay makes. It's a great place to come with family, or even by yourself or on a date. The owners are a very kind family.

Google
Sushi here is great, I really liked the pad thai noodles too. The food was very tasty and the service was great too. Ive never had to wait here, except this one time.

Tim Darr

Google
I would very much recommend this place. The sushi was really good. The orange chicken was some of the best I have ever had. The Pad Thai was almost as good as Tong Phoon in Fairview IL which was won awards for their Thai food.

Saroj Ramki

Google
Our family favorite Thai restaurant. Food is fantastic. So tasty and the service here is very good. They are able to make all dishes vegetarian.

Pamela F.

Yelp
Every meal has been consistently excellent, served quickly, and with ample portions. You can request any meal to the degree of spiciness you want. And still with reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Rich C.

Yelp
Great food, generous portions and a relaxed atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We eat here about once a week and have gotten to know the staff. Very nice people.

Patti O.

Yelp
Ordered for takeout & was pretty disappointed. The food looked decently packaged but the quality was opposite. All the rolls fell apart as they were picked up, the amount of fish in each was sparse, and overall just not tasty. Kind of upset I spent as much as I did; I would almost equate this to grocery store sushi.

Frank T.

Yelp
This was my first visit. So I went for my test Japanese meal, shrimp tempura. I use this to judge my first time at restaurants that serve Japanese food. Siam failed the test. They give 5 good size shrimp and assorted veggies like broccoli and yams but the batter was too thick and the sauce was not the typical tempura sauce. I ate the shrimp but was looking for the light crunchy batter. This was not it. I'll come back for other food to try but the tempura was a bust.

Mitty T.

Yelp
Tried this place twice and surprised me every time. Their chef definitely knows how to create the best version of each dish.

Lacey O.

Yelp
We had a party and asked Siam Paragon to make catering trays of our chosen sushi rolls, as well as pans of hot appetizers. The food was all great and they were quite accommodating!

Matthew M.

Yelp
Paragon serves ambrosia in Evanston! Always delicious dining in or taking out. I've been a loyal customer for years.

D C.

Yelp
A is awesome. Great server, good with food suggestions, fun & quick. Food is consistently good. It is our take out go-to, but we eat on premises indoors and out as well. My fav - Thia fried rice.

Lisa K.

Yelp
Food was ok . Portions were small. Drinks didn't have barely any alcohol. We got green curry,Penang curry noodles with tofu ,and cashews curry with tofu which was so,so. Parking on street. I would probably not go back.

Jordan C.

Yelp
Pad Thai here is a must! I have had beef and chicken pad Thai for delivery and take out and it has been great both times. Most recently I had the lunch special which came with an egg roll, edamame, crab Rangoon, or fried tofu. I opted for the egg roll. It also came with a small salad and miso soup. While everything tasted great, I would've preferred a larger pad Thai serving without the miso soup and salad. Regardless, I will be back.

Judith S.

Yelp
We've been to this place for sushi many times and always enjoyed ourselves. This is my second time ordering take-out. They have the best orange chicken, hands down -- more orange flavor, less fried taste.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Was craving Thai food one day and was able to find this neat spot in Evanston. Super affordable and easy to order during this pandemic. No issues with pickup and prep time was accurate. Food wise, it definitely fulfilled my craving. The curry was the best, good kick and good consistency to mix with rice. Maki was okay, but it was to be expected. Pad kee mao was sort of disappointing because the ratios were off. Over half of the dish was onions and peppers. Very little noodle (my fav part), BUT there was a lot of chicken (: Overall, you get what you pay for in terms of food, but service was great!

Joseph H.

Yelp
I would love to give this place a descent review. I called just for a refund and explained that my order was entirely wrong because It did not get placed correctly . The woman on the phone stated that I was wrong and a refund would not be given! I ordered curry, not pad Thai, as I am extremely allergic to Peanuts. I would not recommend this restaurant to a single person! They also got the two soups I ordered wrong as well. It was almost $50 for an allergic reaction, and luckily I noticed the peanuts before a trip to the ER! Shame on them!

Michael J.

Yelp
Love the food and service had the bento box recently, and it was great! Very comfortable room, and good vibes

Han J.

Yelp
Stopped in because of a sushi craving and it was.. decent. The dine-in service was efficient and quick. It was not crowded in the slightest for a Friday night, but that was probably due to the ongoing winter storm conditions. Because of that, the take-out orders were nonstop. I'm not sure that I would come here again for sushi, but I would definitely try their other dishes.

Katherine D.

Yelp
My family has Thai for dinner about 2-3 times a month, and we've tried just about every restaurant on the North Shore... SIAM Paragon is our favorite, hands down! My husband and mother in law are pretty consistent ordering pad thai, pad see ew, or musamun curry but I like to explore the menu and order as many different things as I can. It's ALL been good! (Note: we haven't tried much of their Chinese or sushi, so can't comment on those.) I also have a 2 year old, who's a bit of a picky eater and she LOVES their kids bento boxes. I was shocked! She thought it was so cool to have her food in little compartments, and gobbled up the majority of the meal. I can't wait to take her back some time! I also couldn't leave a review without mentioning that they have a very nice and hard-working staff. There's one waitress in particular who's almost always there, and she's so nice. She remembered me coming in when I was pregnant, and then with my infant daughter, and when we showed up recently to try dining in with her as a 2 year old the waitress remembered all of us and was so amazed and how much my daughter had grown! If you're looking for great Thai food in Evanston, I highly recommend Siam Paragon!

Pearl A.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Evanston. The service is always good and the food is delicious. I had the Orange chicken and the Inari this visit. No matter what you order the quality will be amazing.

Alyce B.

Yelp
I think this is our third time dining at Siam Paragon, and I should take the time for a review and to say this has become our favorite restaurant for Thai food and a cozy dinner with friends. Tonight I had the panang curry with chicken; panang is a dish I've enjoyed for many years and I think this might have been the best I've had. My husband had chicken in cashew nut sauce, and our friends had the yellow curry and the shrimp fried rice; all three were excellent. Three of us had a beer or wine. Service was quick, courteous, and expert. The ambience is relaxed and friendly. A delightful evening.

Matias B.

Yelp
Amazing. Simply amazing. I've been going to this spot for the past 6 years now. Unfortunately no longer live in the Chicago area but had to come back when i was visiting. Amazing food, cozy ambiance, and the nicest owners and staff you'll ever meet.

Valeria P.

Yelp
I'm compelled to write a review just because I've seen some very negative comments and I think this business is great. Siam Paragon offers a huge variety of Asian options and this is very helpful to accommodate big groups (or in my case, picky eaters). Great variety of salads, noodles, curries... plus all the traditional appetizers. They are super fast when delivering and provide good value (price for quality). This is my go-to place when tired on a weekday and in need of a "pick me up" food that will be there fast. I'm my experience staff is good but I have not been in their salon in a very long time.

Cami F.

Yelp
The food is delicious, fresh and well prepared. Unfortunately, the service SUCKS. Servers are rude and like to argue with customers. Have had the same experience now twice in a row and will only order pick up from now on. Today, we and 2 other parties sat waiting to be seated for close to 10 minutes in an empty restaurant while we could see workers in the kitchen laughing and joking around. Finally a girl who was here to pick up food approached the kitchen and 2 ppl scrambled out. They sat us out of order as more people came through the door. I said something to the waitress and she was annoyed at my comment so she proceeded to answer in one word answers the rest of the time we we're here and refused to give me a box that for my leftovers. She argued that I'd have enough room in a tiny container when I had 75% of my food left over, plus 1/2 of my rice. It was obviously not going to fit and she kept going that I needed to make it fit. Finally, I told her to sell me the bigger container if she didn't want to give it to me and she brought it. The day before we came here to lunch too and had a similarly bad experience with service. It's a shame. Management should match the food quality with the service.

Annie K.

Yelp
quite literally the blandest thai food i've ever had. even the basil was dull like a piece of spinach. we ordered green curry fried rice and basil fried rice, medium spice. the two dishes tasted nearly the same, and had zero spice level. i came home and had to season my food. disappointing, overall disgusting, flavorless food made with cheap ingredients that have no taste. AVOID. THIS. PLACE. don't say I didn't warn you...

Seo Young M.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about their dishes. Some of their dishes like the pad see ew and tom yum weren't so bad. Though it'd be nice to see some other ingredients in the former other than just noodles, broccoli and your choice of protein. The noodles were also really chopped up and short for some reason. We also ordered this stir fry dish where you get to choose your sauce and protein, but it doesn't tell you what else is part of the dish. I was very disappointed by this one. Not only was the taste not so impressive, but the portion was small and it didn't look that enticing. Not sure if I'd like to try their other dishes in the future.

Marissa B.

Yelp
What a hidden gem of a place! There are so many sushi options in Evanston and the surrounding areas and I do glad I stumbled upon this place! They have a buy one get one sushi menu that you can get any day of the week. The menu is huge and has multiple pages so the options are plenty. Because this deal seemed too good to be true, we weren't sure how the quality of the sushi would be. But, wow, this sushi was amazing! The quality was top notch and each roll was very unique and filling. The staff was very friendly and attentive and very willing to work with our party to split our check 5 ways. I will absolutely be back here to dine in and carry out as well as recommend this restaurant to all of my sushi loving friends!

Courtland N.

Yelp
Ordered delivery from this restaurant and found a cockroach in my spring rolls. DO NOT order from here.

Nicole B.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food! Thoughtfully arranged takeout. Put it in the bag in the order it should be eaten--appetizers first then main dishes. And not too salty, my normal issue at restaurants... ate it too fast to get better photos.

Elena S.

Yelp
The review I am posting is not from one time mistake but happen already many times ..as much as we want to support the local restaurants I feel we have to be treated well too...so I order the Thai salad and paid 3$ extra for shrimp and I got 3 shrimp in my salad..my husband had a basil chicken with 2 pieces of chicken and all was based on peppers and onions ...we know it's hard times for everyone but little more effort would be nice

B C.

Yelp
I don't know if the waitstaff man was having a bad day, but he was extremely unfriendly, wouldn't even say hello, greetings, nothing. He seemed extremely pissed. I had never been here, but took a chance. I was the only customer there when I walked in. The Tom Yum soup tasted day old, and the pot stickers were cold. I felt like I was bothering the guy. Everyone has bad days, but if that was indeed the case, don't take it out on the customers. I worked in this industry, so I'm always looking for something nice to say, or nothing at all. In this case, my experience was ruined. I wouldn't take a chance coming back.

Christina C.

Yelp
I've only come here for the sushi so I can't comment on the main entrees, but I think it is one of the better sushi places in Evanston. They have a weekday bogo deal during certain hours which makes coming here pretty worth it. They also have an all you can eat option as well. Food - there are so many sushi rolls to choose from - one page front and back - which is great! You can also substitute purple rice in any of the rolls - probably one of the best options in substitution history. Anyway, their Japanese food menu is also pretty extensive and the price isn't too bad. I love their sake don (salmon on rice - $17) which comes with a good portion of fish. It also comes with miso soup which I really liked (usually, I find miso soups to have a 'fake' sort of taste, but this one didn't). Rolls are big and filling. Service - service here is pretty average, but I'm really just here for the food. The inside is very spacious, so there has never been a problem with waiting for a table or slow service.

Diego M.

Yelp
The fam and I were craving some thai food and stumbled upon this hole in the wall in Evanston. When we first walked in we were greeted by the hostess and she informed us that their entire dining room was closed due to COVID. However, we ended up taking our meal to go! I will start off with the food per the usual. We ordered the yellow curry with chicken, thai basil fried rice, and added some crab rangoons. Oh my LORD. The yellow curry was soooo good. It comes with some delicious sweet potato and has a beautiful color. Everything was cooked perfectly and it had all of the flavors bursting out! Overall it was a great experience! I can't wait to keep ordering thai take out from this spot. It's definitely my new favorite Evanston thai place. I'd highly recommend.

Andrew R.

Yelp
We eat or deliver here all the time and it's NEVER disappointed us. The ingredients are always fresh and every dish is superb. The staff are really friendly. We'll never go anywhere else for Asian cuisine.

Danielle C.

Yelp
I was a little skeptical because this place mixes Thai and Japanese, with a hint of Chinese (weird combination) but I liked it. It's cheap (especially for their lunch specials) and the food is decent. I spent about $10 or so for lunch. I got the yellow curry. It was in a bento box, which is interesting because that's a very Japanese thing to do. I also had crab rangoon on the side as well as Japanese salad. Very strange mixture of all these Asian foods. But I thought it was decent enough that I'd come back if I were in the area.

Lynette H.

Yelp
A friend of mine recommended this place and I was in the area last night with some friends. We were intrigued by the "BOGO" deal and tried it out. There is a special menu Tues-Saturday where you can buy one roll, and get one (of equal or lesser value) for free! This special menu has so many options. To be honest I was very overwhelmed. Not sure why. It took us a while to decide what we wanted. I ended up ordering the Sex on Mar and the Mamma Mia roll. I can't remember what my husband and our friends ordered. For the most part the rolls were good. Each of my rolls has so many pieces. I need my husband help to finish my food. One of the rolls my husband ordered was wrapped in cucumber and had no rice. I don't think he enjoyed it, mostly because it was really tough to eat. For 8 rolls we paid $60ish. Not bad. We also ordered Thai iced coffee. It was satisfying because it was so hot outside, but the taste was mediocre. The restaurant is clean and the staff is attentive and quick. There is also nice patio seating outside.

Park J.

Yelp
I feel the need to write my first yelp review since the food quality was terrible. Let's see. We ordered simple tuna maki and yellowtail and they tasted like they have been sitting outside for a week. You can actually see the discolored tuna if you ever have chance to order it. Then we Ordered a tom yum soup and it was so bad; The soup was watered down with no lemongrass/sour flavor. nothing like it should. Also the shrimps in the soup were terrifyingly disgusting. After I tasted the soup's emptiness, we ordered the Pad See Ew, which I thought it was going to be a safe choice. But no, the noodles weren't even fresh, all stuck together like leftover pasta from last night. Finally, bubble tea tapiocas were all stuck together as well so I couldn't use the straw to drink them. I had to spoon them out of the glass separately. Lol. Maybe I picked a bad day to go. XD

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Sushi was amazing, there lunch specials are really small, good food just not worth the price for that amount.

Claire R.

Yelp
Super good!! The red curry is to die for and the big brother sushi roll is phenomenal. Vibes inside the restaurant and the service are also great.

Alison Y.

Yelp
One of my go to sushi places in Evanston! I frequent their AYCE sushi deal on Sunday and Mondays for $22.95. I love this place because they have a good variety of rolls, nigiri, appetizers, and because the portion of rice to fish is excellent! A lot of sushi places will stuff their rolls and nigiri full of rice with just a little piece of fish. This place IS NOT like that. I come about once a month for their AYCE and I can attest to the fact that they give you good quality portions. This would be my go to place every single time I craved sushi if only they had white tuna nigiri and vegetaable/shrimp tempura on their AYCE menu. Currently, they're running a Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) roll deal during the times when they don't offer AYCE. Seems like a great deal to me even though I haven't tried it yet. I've also tried their red curry lunch special and it was awesome :) Their miso soup is always on target and for some reason, I also love their crab ragoon! I've only got love to show for this place!

Jose V.

Yelp
I live close to it and it's always a good choice. Great value for the food. Lot's of variety and deals. I do pick up most of the time. But, you can still eat there and it's a nice environment. Enjoy!

L. B.

Yelp
A hidden jewel for sure. Great food, Good prices and my whole family loves it. Good for lunch or dinner. Sometimes even both!

Jenna R.

Yelp
Pretty great Thai food and all you can eat sushi on Sundays and Mondays. Can definitely get bang for your buck. If I don't splurge on the Sunday/Monday deal then I only get Thai food like the curry. All other dishes are quite meh to be honest. Can get pretty crowded near 6:30pm most days.

Scott S.

Yelp
We enjoy this place so much -- it was a favorite before COVID and it's become one of our regular take-out places since. Terrific menu, delicious speciality sushi and a friendly staff.

David K.

Yelp
My go to for Thai curry in Evanston. The curries are incredibly flavorful (I typically go for either the Yellow or Panang). The staff and owner are polite, friendly, and really try to build a relationship with their regulars. Also, the quality of the sushi is pretty good and uncompromised by the special deals, making the BOGO and all you can eat sushi deals stand out.

Stephen S.

Yelp
Very unimpressed. Ordered delivery. Took hour and a half. Not great flavors. Dry pad Thai with way over cooked seafood. Bland flavors. Not a good experience at all. $90 and not worth it all.

Christina B.

Yelp
This review is for a delivery order. I ordered several sushi rolls to share with friends - spicy California, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spider, volcano, dynamite, shrimp tempura, and unkayu. All of the rolls were good. It was expensive though. Each roll was around $7-$8. My go to sushi place was closed but this was a fine alternative.

Sera L.

Yelp
Served us undercooked tilapia, cold soup, dry carrots and raw mushrooms. Initially offered to take 50% off that meal but later agreed to comp it. Service was slow despite our group of four being the only guests, and I'm worried that our waitress was one of the only people working that day or something. Not sure what happened and I felt bad for her and bad for leaving this review, but please be careful when eating here and double check your meat :(

Amber E.

Yelp
My husband and I love this place! It's our go to for ordering take out. Our favorites are the pad see ew and yellow curry, but we also get the pad thai a lot. They have a deal for a free appetizer if you order a certain amount (over $25ish, I think?), so we get the crab rangoons and they are yummy. We also love their Thai iced tea. We have noticed that the flavor of the dishes can be a little variable, so some nights are more flavorful than others. I'm not sure what changes in how they prepare it, but 80% of the time it's packed with great taste.

Patty H.

Yelp
We order delivery from SIAM every few weeks and are never disappointed. My favorite is the pad Thai with chicken, and there's always plenty for leftovers (especially if we also order a starter - like the yummy crab Rangoon). We've also enjoyed the wasabi vegetable rolls, miso soup, yellow curry, red curry, chicken teriyaki and green tea bubble tea. All great - but the pad Thai remains my fav!

Andrea D.

Yelp
This is my go to restaurant for pretty good Thai/Japanese food. They are consistent and are reasonably priced and serve large portions. I really like their udon, curries, maki and wide rice noodles. This restaurant is clean, affordable, and has good food!

Stacy B.

Yelp
This place has absolutely made a sushi water out of me, which is saying something because I HATED sushi before coming in. I'd tried it multiple times over the last few years and never acquired a taste for it. We recently moved into the area and when a friend came to visit, we chose this place off of its proximity to our apartment. What we didn't know was that they offered BOGO sushi and for that alone my boyfriend and friend were sold. Seriously, don't be afraid of the BOGO. They have a huge variety of rolls that they prepare fresh. We were actually seated where we could see the rolls being prepared. And one of the preparers remembered us. As I mentioned, I'm not a sushi eater and expected to just order Teriyaki. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered both a small selection of both Chinese and Thai options. The first time I ordered their pad see iew and I couldn't keep my boyfriend not friend out of it. It was so good. My Boyfriend and our friend split 4 rolls and were absolute stuffed. We also ordered tempora and that was really well made. The thing is, they made a sushi eater out of me! We went back the following week (this past Wednesday) because I was craving it. I started with a roll that had chicken in it (please don't judge) and by the time I was finished I was eating sushi with roe on top.
