Large sporting goods store that’s been here forever. Three floors of merchandise, including surfboards and bicycles. Lots of sneakers and clothing. Not for me, unfortunately. Passed dozens of employees-some in groups, talking amongst themselves-but only one lady thought to greet me. And everything goes so over priced. It is accessible ♿️.

In New York City, there is only one store that has everything you’ll need for your sporting needs. Whether it’s baseball gloves, bats, sportswear, running shoes, swimming gear etc, Paragon has what you’ll need. I’ve been shopping there for years and today when I was at Team Sports, Valerie spent considerable time helping me pick out a suitable baseball glove. Valarie exhibited great patience and really made my shopping experience a pleasure.

I went there looking for water bottles for my Osprey waist pack. Osprey doesn't sell these bottles any more so I needed alternatives. Shay was running cash right near the front door and was extremely helpful, pointing to nearby bottles. After looking around I had questions and she summoned Wylie who was also helpful and suggested I look at bottles upstairs. There, Marla took over and we found the perfect bottle in the bike section. But only one; I wanted four. Her computer told her there were 70, but where? Wylie reentered the picture. He dug into the store room to find what I needed. Then Shay checked me out. They were all amazingly helpful and patient. The perfect shopping experience.

It's a multi sports equipment center. Every sport imaginable is in there, Even pickleball. I was a little disappointed with the ski department which is what I went to look for. Compared to the other sporting sections in the place that are still well stocked even though in some cases the sport seasons are over. The skis were very limited especially the ski boots. It is one of the most social staff I've ever met. Almost every person said hello and asked if I needed help. I'm hoping it's just that ski season hasn't started yet and not the full swing.

Love Paragon Sports! I wanted to point out an exceptional salesperson named Rachel, who helped me find the right tennis shoes. I would have never tried the ones she politely recommended to me and I loved them. Rachael was super helpful, kind, patient, and honest about the pros and cons of the various brands based on customers she has had feedback from. Try to find Rachel there if you can. :)

I went to Paragon on Sunday to take a look at the bikes. I was seriously considering 3 bikes that were there. I waited for 15 minutes for someone to help me and there was no one even walking around in that section. I left the area and asked for help. The 2 employees chatting could not help me so they radioed for someone else. A man arrived who was willing to help but clearly did not work in that section. When he told me there were no test rides I realized I had wasted that whole time thinking of the bike I’d choose. I probably would’ve bought one and Paragon lost $900 - $1,400 because of their poor management. The employee did what he could with what little he was given. I will never shop at Paragon again. Thanks for wasting my time and your employees time as well! Dude told me with his eyes that he needs to get paid more and it's miserable working there.

We got amazing service in the sneaker department by the wonderfully knowledgeable staff there. Despite a busy Sunday, Michael helped my young track star find the right spikes and trainers. (It's probably the only place to buy track spikes in the city - I checked Nike and Fleet feet as well). He was fast, professional, had her step on the treadmill and try them out, took note of her arches and just made bit an easy and pleasant experience. Would definitely go back and recommend to others!
