ATV Records - Review - Downtown - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Downtown club is a descendant of the Electric Pickle, a beloved Wynwood spot that closed. Regulars of the Pickle will probably recognize the huge, colorful disco ball that now sits in the middle of ATV, which is a small room that’s mostly dance floor. They book solid DJs here and also put a little sticker over your phone’s camera before you come in - so this is more a place to dance and appreciate music than buy shots and take pictures with your friends. It’s also attached to Melinda’s, an outdoor bar and restaurant. You can step outside for a drink if you need some fresh air." - Ryan Pfeffer

Genuine horrendous SCAMMERS! They change the price of drinks by the minute and charge for top shelf liquor when you 1. Don’t ask for it and 2. Done actually use it in your drink. Do NOT book for an event here because they lie on the contract (they told us we were paying for a tab of $10 drinks and charged us $30 a drink) and the owner is rude and refused to listen to any directives and instead just lied. Weak drinks and pretty small too.

Wow! This place blew me away! Absolutely wonderful vibe, and I love the way my rib cage felt as it started breaking solely due to the obnoxiously loud sound waves pulsating through the building. Was gonna buy a drink, but the 30$ rum and cokes were a little out of my price range (but totally reasonably priced!❤️)! This was definitely a club!

Don’t come here if you enjoy having money. The bartenders seem to enjoy price gouging any unsuspecting patrons to the point where they are taking the clothes off your back for your next rum and coke. The security will give you the creepiest vibes the entire night and just the overall club seems like a huge scam. This place is evil and deserves zero business.

Paraiso Estereo more like this place sucks. I was born and raised in Miami and love the night life, until I went to this place. Filled with creepy staff, I felt like I was in danger the entire time. I will never step foot in here again. I was expecting moderately priced drinks, like they advertise, but I was met with ridiculous prices. They were so pricey that I was not able to afford my mortgage this month and had to give my house to the bank. Was it really worth having my 1 month old baby sleep on the streets for a subpar vodka soda? You tell me. Save yourself the trip and the money take your business someplace else.

It’s rare to find a club where everything is just right, but ATV is one of those places. Their sound system is impressive. The music sounds powerful, but it does not leave your ear ringing afterwards. You could even stand right in front of the speakers the whole night and your ears would still feel perfectly fine. Their ventilation is great too. You’ll get a little sweaty when you’re dancing, but it’s not gonna be too hot. They have a chill backyard with plenty of plants in case you need some fresh air. Their events are reasonably priced. Usually $15-40 ish depending on if you’re purchasing ahead of time. GREAT techno/house music. Immaculate vibe. Perfect amount of crowd. It gets pretty packed but you’ll still have some space to dance. They have plenty free tables and sofas in the venue so you could chill without leaving the dance floor. There’s nothing quite like ATV. Everything is done just right, and everything just makes perfect sense here.

Ok so let me be clear. The sound system is 5 stars. The bands and alternative music is also 5 stars. The reason for 3 stars is a couple other things that ruin the vibe. Sooo....1st... once you enter the venue you cannot exit and re-enter. No exceptions. This is ridiculous. 2nd...the bar tenders set their prices on the alcohol. I got 2 cranberry vodkas. Tiny little guys. $50. Ridiculous. I did find a way around this though. They have White Claws. These are $8. Alcohol is alcohol. My suggestion is drink hard before coming or hide a flask in your jacket or in your pants. They do check ladies purses and men's bags. But if you can sneak a flask in you will be golden and can then survive on cups with ice which you then can fill with your flask. Got to beat the system. FYI. Located within Melinda's and the entrance is in an alleyway. Enjoy the venue!

This place blows. I wouldn't wish a night here on my worst enemy. I would rather drink a fifth at my house than go out here. Overpriced, no options for liquor, pours weaker than my dead grandma. Charged me $26 for a drink and didnt measure and poured me almost 0 liquor. Sucky. Horrendous. I hate this place. Do not go here ever. Cool venue tho lowkey, just ran like they hate their customers.

Google
Really liked the music experience. The ambience of the club, the Sound system and the DJ lineup they have is very good. It was a great place for me to introduce my friends to house music without the venue being too flashy. I really like how an alley leads up to the club door which gives it a bit of character. The front door staff was very adamant on Cash cover. And the outdoor seating area felt a bit rundown.

Yelp
This place was....interesting! (mostly in a good way) Was it down a sketchy alley with possibly Russian bouncers guarding the velvet ropes? Yes it was. Were we briefly nervous we might not come back with all our kidneys? Yes, we were. But, we soldiered on, figured it out, and ended up having a great time! Yes, the drinks were pricey and they included tip, but there was no cover, so that all came out in the wash. The music was decent and the bathrooms were clean. We had dancing to do.

Yelp
The service here is appalling. Beware: The bartenders are rude, get visibly frustrated by basic requests, and do not let customers know their bill includes a 20% tip automatically.

Yelp
Terrible. Dead. Ew. $20 for water is insane I'd rather die of thirst. Dude with the flashlight gets paid to be an ass and take away our drinks, give him a raise.
