Parakeet Cafe

Parakeet Cafe in La Jolla is a delightful spot with a great location right near the beach. I stopped in and had their acai bowl, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right! I also picked up some kale chips and chai wafers to take home, and they were a tasty and healthy snack. The cafe has a welcoming vibe, with bright decor and friendly staff that make the experience even better.

Beautiful location along Coast Blvd overlooking the ocean, the staff were very friendly, the patio seating outside was so peaceful. Prices are to be expected for the area but not outrageous. Highly recommend the banana bread!

Same great food and drinks as their other location, but with a view! Pros: Seasonal strawberry matcha drink is delicious. Love that they have gluten free muffins and breakfast items. Carrot muffin is good and very soft, but not great. (The blueberry is a better choice) Wellness tonics are good. We tried glow and the charcoal. Both were good, charcoal drink is more flavorful. Cons: the patio is dirty and not well kept. Only one employee working so the wait was a little longer (tho still very quick)

What a surprise! The coffee is so good. Love their pink cup with the heart. Great service. Price is also good for the prime location.

Lavender matcha latte with coconut milk. Incredible to say the least. Staff is super kind. All milks are included in price (love that as a dairy free person). Clean restrooms. All around recommend.

This is such a cute cafe! The Parakeet cafe is inside the La Jolla Cove Hotel. I enjoyed the coffee and baked goods. What I didn’t enjoy was the excessive mark up in prices unfortunately, this isn’t unique to La Jolla area so I didn’t take that into account for the rating. Honestly, the service carries this rating pretty heavily. The baristas were very personable and gave some awesome local recommendations. I went here a couple times during my stay.

Super nice coffee house, across the road from the ocean and beach. Very nice interior and there is an outdoor decking area with beautiful views. Coffee itself was really nice and smooth. There was plenty of alternative milk selections (free of charge) which is refreshing. The pricing is average for San Diego, latte costing $6. Otherwise the coffee shop is a good choice if you want a good coffee in La Jolla.

This store has the best location and views! I always like the drinks from Parakeet. Although it’s kinda pricey, drinks are very delicious. I enjoyed their tea, matcha latte and chai. Plus you can’t beat the view here. I’m so glad now La Jolla Cove has a coffee shop that can see the views.
