Paraná Empanadas - Pacific Beach

As a native Argentinian, every bite reminded me of home! The beef and spinach fillings were on point, tasted exactly like the way my mom would make it. And it was fun to try some unique flavors, like their vegan “chorizo”. I don’t usually like sweet stuff, but I had to try their dessert, and they were all phenomenal. My personal fav was the chocolate alfajor since it’s dark chocolate. I love that it’s a homemade version of the classic Havana alfajor. Best chimichurri sauce I’ve ever had, it’s tastes very fresh and doesn’t separate with a layer of oil on top like most places do. Lovely owner from Argentina who will explain how to drink the traditional yerba mate if it’s your first time. Will definitely be coming back!

Cute place with friendly staff. I ordered to go some empanadas with meat and they was really good. Also I’ve tried ice dulce de leche mate with almond milk (the taste super interesting I like it) and hot dulce de leche latte with regular milk (good).

Great little Argentine cafe with delicious empanadas 🤩 🍽️ Mushrooms 🍽️ roasted corn 🍽️ Rajas Empanadas were definitely filling and flavorful. Rajas had a great kick to it. Prices are reasonable too and the hidden patio was beautiful

Staff was friendly and helpful answering my questions about empanada fillings! We tried 6, so a good portion of the menu. Or absolute favorite was there spinach (one of my all time favorite ever empanadas) but everything was delicious! Our other favorites were the Malbec beef , the corn and then colorless chicken. Everything was baked perfectly and loved the crimping with initials so we could easily identify which empanadas was which! No guessing involved. Very clever and appreciated. The coffee here was also delicious. I got the dulce de Leche iced coffee and it was just the right amount of sweet!

I feel like I’ve been transported back to Argentina. The Empanadas are very good! Tried the traditional Beef, Spicy Beef, and Chipotle Chicken and each one was fantastic. Staff is very friendly and myself and two daughters felt welcomed into this cute place. I can’t wait to come back. Next time I’ll get the Yerba Mate. I give this place easily a 10/10. Prices are on point too.

Nice quiet little specialty food place. We enjoyed a wide variety of empanadas. A nice touch for group orders is a label on each empanada. Outdoor patio dining adds to an enjoyable quick bite experience.

Great little Argentine Cafe with delicious housemade empenada's, coffee & of course the namesake Yerba mate! Cheap eats, great hidden patio there's really just so much going for this gem. Just try it!

Hands down one of the most unique and delicious cafes in PB. They cut through the fluff and have cultivated a solid coffee, tea, and food experience where so many others come up short. The empenadas are fire and all the drinks and authentic and high quality. The patio area has an awesome vibe great for lounging and hanging out. This place has quickly become my top go-to cafe in pacific beach. Highly recommended!
