Parchment Paper, a Food-Obsessed Gift Shop, Opens in Eagle Rock | Eater LA

"Opening on Saturday, November 26 to coincide with Small Business Saturday, this culinary-themed gift shop and stationery store is owned by pastry chef Leah Park Fierro and sits around the corner from Milkfarm at 505 1/2 Eagle Rock Boulevard. A hand-painted 10-by-25-foot mural greets holiday shoppers, and shelves are lined with culinary-inspired greeting cards, kitchen wares, vintage finds, home goods, and sundries. The shop strives to support other small businesses and artists and stocks items such as seafood placemats by Steak Diane, Asian-inspired food prints by Nancy Pappas, tea towels and onesies by the Neighborgoods, as well as porróns and Champagne sabers. It also offers full-service gift wrapping using food-centric wrapping paper (featuring mushrooms, raw steaks, oysters, peaches, cocktails, bananas, and more) and Furoshiki fabric. Hours are Tuesdays through Fridays noon–7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; closed Mondays." - Cathy Chaplin

This place was bustling. It’s a small space with lots of things to check out and also lots of people. I didn’t get to browse as much cause it was crowded but cute stuff!

Yelp
This is a cute little shop to peruse and find fun house items! I was told about this place by a Milkfarm employee, which are in walking distance of each other. You will want to purchase at least a few items, especially if you enjoy food-themed things. I got a sticker that says spinach artichoke dip in the shape of a heart, a bagel sandwich, and ranch bottle pins. The items are a bit pricey but worth the eclecticness!

Yelp
Oh my goodness, where to start. Its a fun decently sized gifts and baubles kind of store. Its colorful and section themed. There's so much whimsy and personality in all the little gifts I can hardly describe it to justice. There were all kinds of fun food candles, accessories, kitchenware, jewelry, stickers, you name it. As for price it ranged of course, but most was reasonable and so special it would definitely be worth the little penny if it was a specific gift for a specific person. I love this store !

Yelp
Everything is food related from the martini olive doormat to the boba washi tape. A jam packed kitsch store filled with plenty of options for your food loving friends!

Yelp
This store is CUTE! It literally made me want to buy everything! Are you looking for a choncha key chain? they got it. Looking for socks with shrimps on them? they got it. Dont want shrimp but you want eggs or bacon? well they got those socks too. Does your friend like cocktails and pins??? well they have multiple options for you to choose from. They have some awesome punny and cute coin purses for all. Looking for a champagne saber?! well you guessed it.. they have it as well. Of course they also have some glassware for your kitchen, dish towels, cutting boards, candles (i saw some awesome lemon candles that look just like real lemons!), cheese knives and some aprons. They also have pet gifts! I totally regret not getting porky his own box of donut toys and that pizza toy! The whole store is one to check out. There is many things available that can be added to your home, your office and to be given out as gifts. The staff is also super friendly, welcoming and one to make me want to come back just to say hello. I did purchase a few things for a gift here and the fact that my gift was given to me in a cool bag.. its just the best! I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Such a cute - if not super niche - gift and stationery store! Everything is culinary and food themed, and the owners did an amazing job of organizing products by type of food (pasta, sushi, pizza, etc.) They have some really interesting gifts, especially for any type of foodie or cook. My only request - please add more food-themed jewelry! And I would love to see a cake/baking section. :)

Yelp
Such a cute little store with random odds and ends. The perfect place for a gift. Things are unique and pricey. Great place to get a birthday card.

Yelp
Parchment Paper is brought to you by your friends at Milkfarm Artisan Cheese Shop. We are a specialty gift shop that is dedicated to the Food Industry. The store carries a well-curated selection of food-centric stationary/paper goods, gifts, specialty kitchenwares, and other sundries. We strive to support small independent artisans and their craft, while stocking the store with fun and unique finds. Oh, and we have awesome, full-service gift wrapping with food-centric paper!!!

Yelp
I was walking in the area when I saw this store. It's a wonderful store with great items. There are various food themed gifts. I personally enjoyed their butter and bread items. I loved the food themed wrapping paper, I thought it was a great touch. I'm looking forward to coming again.

Yelp
Very cute stationary store. We stumbled upon this while walking down Eagle Rock. The store displays caught my daughter's eye so we went in. Leah (we didn't know it was the owner) greeted us cheerfully and chatted us up while my daughter looked around. We ended up getting some stickers for her and some stationary for us.

Yelp
Folks: Get a better credit card processing company. Most of your items are priced under $10. As you know, in this modern world, 99.98% of us don't carry cash. You may think your policy will induce people to buy more things, but then again, it might just annoy your customers. And is that extra $.50 you earned really worth turning off a first-timer (I have no reason to return) and a bad Yelp review?
