Had my eye on this place for a while now, and decided to come here for brunch over the weekend because of all the good ratings I've seen on yelp. Unfortunately, I found it a bit underwhelming.
I started off with the Strawberry Tart, which, to begin with, was a really small treat for $11. I thought the base would be like that of a typical fruit tart -- crispy, golden, biscuit-like. However, instead it was soggy, tasted stale & seemed like it had been sitting in the fridge for a couple days. It was topped with a strawberry jam, vanilla creme, and strawberries. The vanilla creme added a nice hint of sweetness that balanced out the tartness of the strawberry jam, but the strawberries did not seem fresh at all.
As my main entree, I tried the Short Rib Breakfast Hash. This was a combination of potatoes, scrambled eggs, bell peppers, and slowed-cooked short rib. It was topped with a sunny side up egg, avocado, & microgreens. The combination of everything together was really yummy, but I did find the portion size to be a bit too small for a meal ~$18.
I also tried the viral crookie, which is a chocolate chip cookie baked onto a croissant, and that I would recommend trying. They heat it up for you, and the warmth the cookie and richness of the chocolate chips combined with the buttery, flaky croissant is a pretty heavenly combination of flavors. However, it is definitely an item to be shared, as it is too sweet to finish alone.
Overall, while the presentation of everything was amazing and super aesthetic, the food items (for the price that they were) fell short for me.
