We had breakfast there this Sunday morning. The brunch menu looks great and you can go full breakfast to light. I did the classic breakfast and it was very well done. Potatoes cooked just right (I’m from Idaho, I know these things). Eggs same. My wife had an almond croissant and says it was wonderful. At 8 am there was no wait and we sat out on the sidewalk patio. Happy to go again.

From the moment I stepped into this restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. What really set this place apart, though, was the service. Every member of the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and treated us like valued guests. Dove was attentive and made excellent recommendations. And the desserts — absolutely delicious! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh flavors. It was clear that great care and pride went into every detail. This location was recommended to me by Leon and I'm so grateful I went. If you like Paris Baguette, then you'll LOVE Parfait Paris. I plan on making another trip next time I'm in town.

Google
The cafe has an amazing atmosphere. You can tell they put real thought and taste into creating it. It is a cozy and beautiful place, especially when the big windows are open. The desserts here are absolutely delicious and the breakfast is really hearty. It is a perfect spot for an inspiring start to the day or a romantic date. I would just make the service a little more positive or friendly, maybe more like the vibe you get in France, rather than how it feels now.

Google
Parfait Paris! This place was a hit—everything and more. It was quiet, had a nice price, and generous portions for the food. The restaurant was clean and very well-appointed for the gritty Gaslamp neighbourhood. I was looking for a nice, quiet place with good food just before ending a busy travel day and didn’t want to leave the area to find something like this spot on a busy party Friday night in the Gaslamp. Oh, and if you’re wondering, the staff do speak (actual) French!

Google
Super cute cafe in midst the gaslamp quarters. Open early, great for early birds. Food is delicious. Baked goods look to be European standard deliciousness. I highly recommend this place for a great breakfast or a quick coffee to go.

Google
The pastries we ordered were absolutely delicious!!! Each one was beautifully made and tasted so fresh. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and put a lot of care into their baking. I really recommend this place if you’re craving authentic French pastries, it's like a little taste of Paris right here! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly too. I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Google
The place was small and not much seat available to enjoy. It was nice but not clean, floor was dirty with crumbs and stuffs, and also smell not sure where it came from but I did smell something not nice, restroom wasn’t that clean either. I was disappointed with this though. But the food are yum, I tried the famous chocolate dubai and pistachio croissant and it tasted good and crunchy, I also ordered coffee, it was alright. Staffs was Ok so far. Parking was hard to get since it’s a street parking and driving to this place wasn’t nice either, it’s downtown and you can see all the homeless and it’s kind of creepy for me, it almost felt like I am driving to LA downtown hehehe which you know what I mean!

Brian Crummy

Google
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a place as good. The service was absolutely exceptional. I went there with my three young sons and everybody had a great time. I can’t wait to go back with my wife and hit the mimosa kit!

Yelp
This is my favorite place! The food is delicious, atmosphere is cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal! Dove is super cute and helpful, and her coffee is amazing! This place is a must-visit!!

Yelp
I was visiting San Diego for a long weekend and came to this place three days in a row... it was that good. I highly recommend the pastries. I tried a few of them, and none of them disappointed! My favorite was definitely the Nutella cruffin--so decadent and so good! Also high marks to the vanilla bean cream croissant supreme (giant roll croissant filled with cream) and the kouign amman. Those ones seemed to be featured specials on a given day. I also tried the quiche Lorraine which was also incredible! Great service, I came early in the day so there was never a line. The ambience is great too--the vibe of a lively Parisian cafe!

Yelp
Such a beautiful and tasty cafe to remind me of my time in Paris! I ordered the Fruitella crepe, espresso, and Pain Au Chocolat Will be coming back! 10/10

Yelp
This place is a gem! Very spacious and clean, i love the cute aesthetics all around the cafe. I also love the open window layout, it felt so relaxing. It also seems like a good place to study/do work however there aren't any outlets. Ordered matcha latte and the strawberry tart. The matcha was creamy and well made, I felt like the flavors were very balanced. The tart was also so good, I like that it isn't too sweet and focuses on bringing out the natural sweetness of the strawberry. The layers were so pretty and I like how well it all holds together when you cut a bite. Things like this can fall apart easily if not well made but def not the case here. Lastly the staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive, thank you Emma, Andrew, and Carlos! They even offered to modify my drink if I wanted.

Yelp
Came by for breakfast. They have quite a variety of offerings. Order at the counter and they give you a number. Food is brought to table. It was Sunday morning and quiet although there was a steady stream of customers. The matcha latte: 4 stars. Pretty light in flavor. Vanilla macchiato: light in flavor. Pretty good coffee. The short ribs hash:4 stars. Plenty of short ribs. Eggs scrambled with potato hash which was pretty crispy. Only complaint is that there was too much eggs and not enough potato hash. It does need some hot sauce but I really enjoyed the avocado. Fruitella crepe: 3.5 stars. fresh banana and strawberry with Nutella. The girls enjoyed it. I thought it was ok. Also got some pastries to go.

Yelp
Morning is quaint here. Paris like and people watch is great. Beware of the whiff of ammonia from transients that you may smell while you dine outside. I suppose that's why most sat inside when we came here day and night. Other than that it is a quaint spot for people watching! Breakfast food was pretty spot on and you can customize. The French BLT they accommodated for croissant instead of sourdough. The tea unfortunately has a small hair in it. It was strange that the cold tea came in a hot cup. Didn't complain about it as we did not drink it in the end. Dessert is good, but don't bother getting croissant at night if you have a craving. It will be an old hard croissant even if warmed. Service is overall friendly at the counter, but be prepared to wait till a while for your food.

Yelp
Fine Parisian desserts and just as tasty drinks makes this place a spot you need to stop at if you're in the area. They have tasteful dressers from macarons to cakes to croissants. They also have a good brunch menu that the workers can describe well to you. I ended up ordering the crookie. It Isa perfect marriage of their delicate croissant stuffed with chocolate and topped with a melted chocolate chip cookie. Dessert bliss. I also accompanied my crookie with an almond milk based iced matcha tea. It was so flavorful and memorable

Yelp
This is a charming little French cafe/bakery located in the Gaslamp. Apparently they have several locations. They have tables inside and outside or you can take baked goods to go. This interior is comfortable and attractive. Their macarons are beautiful, delicious, and pricey (a box of 6 goes for $17). They offered some exotic macaron flavors, which I appreciated. I also think they are a bit bigger than other ones I have tried elsewhere. Make sure you eat your macarons soon after purchasing them. They don't age particularly well no matter where you get them from. We also tried a couple of their baked goods: the Nutella Cruffin, with rich Nutella inside, is decadent, and the Vanilla New York Roll which is simply amazing. It is iced on the outside and has beautiful cream on the inside. Normally, I am always on Team Nutella but not this time. Vanilla for the win. This is a very good French bakery and cafe.

Yelp
Cute place! Service is good. Love their desserts, pretty tasty and not too sweet. We got French Pudding and Macarons. French pudding is pretty good, with enough amount of dark chocolate (not too dark) on the top. They have many good flavors for the macarons. They have free ice water and infused water for you to get for yourself.

Yelp
This was such a cute bakery located in downtown SD! We were hoping to get our hands on some of the viral cookie croissants going around TikTok. Thankfully, at 10:30AM on a Saturday there were still plenty left. The crookie was delicious! It was very sweet for sure but that's to be expected. The ratio of cookie to croissant could have been a bit lower but overall it was worth coming here for, especially for $6.50. Little tip: make sure you ask to get it heated up!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was perfect! First, the latte macchiato was the best ever... very light and flavorful! Next, the short rib hash was served beautifully (edible flowers on a beef dish, what?!) and had a rich, complex flavor profile that I'm sure I'll crave again tomorrow! The Benedict was also pretty darn amazing--that freaking croissant could be cut with a fork, and the bearnaise was fantastic! The vibe inside with the chill music and seats by the open windows on a 70-degree morning was just the perfect way to round out the experience. The people were also nice and patient with us as we asked every question in the book, haha! We'll be back!

Yelp
Such a cute little place that has everything you could want from a cafe! Tasty little cakes, fun pastries, and strong coffee. I would definitely come back when I have the chance. Leon and Shirin were great at keeping everything running smoothly!

Yelp
Came here for an impulsive decision to get some mid-day dessert. I'm glad I did though, it was very good. Server was friendly and gave a good recommendation, I enjoyed the bread pudding. Very decadent and balanced. Sitting outside and enjoying the city life pass by was a nice touch. I'd recommend if you're looking for some quick dessert while in the area, impulsively or not!

Yelp
I had a business conference at the San Diego Convention Center so I decided to get here at opening, 7am daily, so I can be productive and start working before the exhibit hall meeting opened and my meetings started. Productivity with some tasty treats is even better. I started off with their Onion Potato Tart ($15) and a Vanilla Latte ($6.50). I also ordered a Yuzu & Lemon Tart ($11) to indulge in after my breakfast. The vanilla latte came out first and it was no frills looking. It looked plain if I'm being honest, but when I sipped it, amazzingggg. They make it with a triple layer of hot milk, milk froth and then coffee. Then my glorious Onion Potato Tart arrived. There was a thin puff pastry base topped with thin potatoes and caramelized onions. It was so big, much bigger than I imagined. And it was topped with a lovely poached egg. SO DELICIOUS, but super filling. I was unable to finish the whole thing but my heart really wanted to. Sadly the Yuzu & Lemon Tart was the most disappointing selection for the day. You can see from my photo what I deemed to be edible. The meringue was too sweet and the topping on top of it was ridiculously sour. Even when you combine them, there was no balance. I liked the flavor of the base, however this much be an old tart because one centimeter in from the circumference was thick and gummy. That texture when something has been sitting in the fridge too long. No bueno for these prices. If I find myself back in this San Diego area, I would definitely be interested in coming back for more lattes and French pastries.

Yelp
What a great delight Parfait Paris is! Located in the Gaslamp district it's a pleasure for all senses: taste, smell and sight! Nice interior with very friendly staff and decadent food and desert! I love Nutella croissant, as it is to die for!!! Mimosas are delicious and plentiful!! Pastries and specialty cakes are awesome! Few times I have been here staff has been absolutely nice!!! We will be friends for a long time...

Yelp
I'm glad I was introduced to this cafe by a friend Serina the Owner of Buy Filipino and The House of Plants LLC. The atmosphere was inviting, beautiful, and a wonderful designed bakery and cafe. The crème brûlée latte was yummy and a perfect combination with the flaky Nutella cruffin. I may have not been to Paris per se, but for the moment I could imagine myself there. Loved the extra touch with the various plants throughout the cafe. Highly recommend you visit one of their locations. This was a special getaway downtown San Diego at the Gaslamp. Treat yourself to this experience.

Yelp
Summary: Solid late-night cafe Details: While there's a plethora of late-night eats in the area, there's less in the way of options for those who don't want to drink or eat a full meal. Parfait Paris fills a nice little gap there, being as open as it is, and serving up a variety of sweets and coffee (in addition to other bites). Cake options were nice, albeit on the sweet side, while their decaf coffee was also decent. Neither were things I'd go out of my way to try, or even necessarily go to during normal hours, but they're a solid option in an area that's lacking in this particular segment. Accessibility: Spacious and plenty accessible, with a little ramp inside to get you around the stairs.

Yelp
This was my first food spot after landing in San Diego, and it did not disappoint! At a cafe, I almost always order a chocolate croissant! It was the perfect size, very flaky, and the right amount of chocolate! It was also a little chilly, so I ordered a little hot chocolate. It was nothing special, but good to warm me up. All the other pastries and desserts looked so good, it was hard to choose, so I'd love to return to try more! The service was also great and made the overall experience even better.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is amazing! The service is awesome! Today the cashier Ben helped us and was very nice and helpful 100% recommend

Yelp
Great place to enjoy a dessert and mimosas. The service is friendly and prompt. Got to enjoy a cappuccino, cheesecake slice, and a few macarons; they were all delicious and if there were any critique to offer it is the cheesecake crust is a little thick. Inside is really nice and the open window fronts take in a nice fresh vibe. The outside seating is nice but at risk; be warned homeless prey on the area don't leave anything loose that can disappear and off odors can sometimes waft about.

Yelp
Had my eye on this place for a while now, and decided to come here for brunch over the weekend because of all the good ratings I've seen on yelp. Unfortunately, I found it a bit underwhelming. I started off with the Strawberry Tart, which, to begin with, was a really small treat for $11. I thought the base would be like that of a typical fruit tart -- crispy, golden, biscuit-like. However, instead it was soggy, tasted stale & seemed like it had been sitting in the fridge for a couple days. It was topped with a strawberry jam, vanilla creme, and strawberries. The vanilla creme added a nice hint of sweetness that balanced out the tartness of the strawberry jam, but the strawberries did not seem fresh at all. As my main entree, I tried the Short Rib Breakfast Hash. This was a combination of potatoes, scrambled eggs, bell peppers, and slowed-cooked short rib. It was topped with a sunny side up egg, avocado, & microgreens. The combination of everything together was really yummy, but I did find the portion size to be a bit too small for a meal ~$18. I also tried the viral crookie, which is a chocolate chip cookie baked onto a croissant, and that I would recommend trying. They heat it up for you, and the warmth the cookie and richness of the chocolate chips combined with the buttery, flaky croissant is a pretty heavenly combination of flavors. However, it is definitely an item to be shared, as it is too sweet to finish alone. Overall, while the presentation of everything was amazing and super aesthetic, the food items (for the price that they were) fell short for me.
google avatar

Eriko M.

Yelp
Searched for best chocolate croissant and this place came up as one of the options so we went on Friday late afternoon. They still have a few chocolate croissant left and many cakes left. We got a chocolate croissant and the creme brulee. The chocolate croissant was so disappointing. It was dry and not flaky. The creme brulee was pretty yummy though. Very decadent.
google avatar

George A.

Yelp
I'm not familiar with French Dessert other than Eclair, Croissant and Crème Brûlée. But the two than we ordered La Noisette and Mille Feuilles tasted really great. 5 star for the food, service and ambience!
google avatar

Lianne A.

Yelp
Amazing food and drinks, worth any kind of wait! Order: La Basque Croissant (soy chorizo, fried eggs, cilantro, shallots, lemon juice, and mix cheese), Ciao Bella tea (as per barista recommendation), and a Madagascar Vanilla Macaron Food review: Croissant was very flaky and soft, the combo of the items was a great start to my morning! Love a great macaron - haven't tried the vanilla one so this was a nice contrast to the sandwich. Tea was nice and soothing, a great decaf option Service: My server was Frank, he was so awesome and we had a great conversation while I ordered my stuff! Also got to chat with Carlos, one of the chefs and the food was *chef's kiss* Notes: Parking in the area can be a little hard, but if you're there early enough you can snag a street spot! Ambiance was lovely as well, the windows being open let in the street noise, but the breeze was lovely.
google avatar

Sharan E.

Yelp
Amazing croissants and macarons. Open and lively ambiance. (They ran out of their regular croissants by 3 PM on a Saturday)
google avatar

Charlotte B.

Yelp
We have been here a few times and it's mostly been good. The coffee was good. The onion tart was quite tasty, but I couldn't finish the quiche lorraine because it was dry and lacked flavor. The croque madame was ok, but their specialty is baked goods like their croissants. The service can be a bit slow, but they're kind. The ambiance is nice as well. I would still go back.
google avatar

Maricar T.

Yelp
Sooooo good!!! Croissant was warm and flaky! So soft and buttery and good. Jessica, Tiffany and Dove were helpful. Thanks!

Yelp
Andrew is so calm and collected his customer service is solid :) they play really nice music too-not annoying

Yelp
Good music and great tasting food. This is a great place for brunch. We ordered the strawberry tart and turkey sandwich.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful pastries. The service is all smiles and good vibes. Nice outdoor area. My croissant was light and flaky. I would have to agree it lives up to the hype.
google avatar

Yelp
Le parfait paris has delicious desserts! The service is okay (depends who is working). Unfortunately, their desserts are extremely small in comparison to what it used to be and more expensive. I know costs have increased but what used to be an occasional treat for me is now like a once in a blue moon because I can't justify spending $28 on 2 desserts and an espresso very often. The le parfait signature and yuzu tart are so good. Sadly it is not always worth the $11 price tag, especially when it's competitors haven't decreased their size so much.
google avatar

Yelp
The best cafe in downtown cook carols is a master at crepes !!! Pastries are award wining service is super strong - clean, considerate and bring everything to your table. Emma, sharing, Andrew - stellar crew. if you have tried the best cappuccino and latte in San Dwight downtown.. go NOW!
google avatar

Latasha H.

Yelp
Great pastries, quality ingredients used. We ordered 3 macaroons, cheesecake, cookie croissant, bread pudding and vanilla latte. All desserts showcased in a clear glass display. They offer dessert, brunch and lunch items, coffee/lattes plus wine, amongst other delicious menu treats. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Reasonably priced.
google avatar

Jen G.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for bunch on a Saturday at mid morning. The crepes are phenomenal, coming from someone with high expectations this cute little restaurant did not disappoint. Everything from the delicious food, drinks and the aesthetic make this place such a gem, but the friendly staff definitely make a world of difference! It's always a shame when I find a decent restaurant and the staff ends up being terrible - it can be the defining factor of whether or not I come back. This was not the case here. Thank you Emma and the team: ft Luciana, Lily, Andrew, Matt and Carlos for a wonderful experience.
google avatar

Reese J.

Yelp
Had to visit Parfait Paris during a weekend getaway. The aesthetics makes you feel like you're in Paris. There's plenty of seating indoor and a few outdoor seatings. We ordered the Marrakech Mint Tea and took advantage of the bag of 6 macarons - nutella, 2 pistachio, vanilla, sea salt caramel, chocolate. Everything was delicious. The tea took some time to get but happy they gave us extra to enjoy.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast, lattes, and pastries! Friendly staff, nice location, fast service. Thanks, Emma, Matt, Andrew, and Marc!
google avatar

Randy S.

Yelp
San Diego, Gaslamp District. August 2023. A creperie. A patisserie. A cafe. There is no shortage of places to grab breakfast or coffee in the Gaslamp District the morning after a long night. Le Parfait Paris does it w a little more pleasant atmosphere. It feels like a small neighborhood street cafe w simple good food. The croissant cannot stand w any good patisserie in San Francisco but for the Gaslamp it is good. The macarons are legitimate good. Service can be slow, but they put forth effort and are polite. The best place for simple morning food in the Gaslamp District that I found.
google avatar

Siah A.

Yelp
The desserts are some of my favorite! I love leaving with a baguette for dinner at home. As well as a pint of gelato for my boyfriend Emma and Luciana were so fun and helpful! Best bakery downtown

Rochelle M.

Yelp
I came to Parfait Paris with my husband the last time I was in San Diego. I was happy to see it again during this visit with my daughter. It's a short walk from our hotel so we came for a light breakfast before checkout. It was fairly empty on a Friday morning. We ordered an Americano, Earl Grey tea and croissants. Our drinks came out quickly -- perfectly made and so, so good. After several minutes we were a bit concerned that our pastries were taking a while, so I asked. The girl looked at me surprised and said "Oh, I forgot!". She then ran behind the counter to quickly warm and plate our order. She apologized and gave us macarons for the mishap. Despite the minor hiccup, Parfait Paris was a nice start to our day. Beautiful, clean, inviting, open space with seating inside and outside. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

Yelp
Found this gem in the San Diego Gaslamp District via yelp. So glad we did! The food, service and setting was perfect! Chose the short rib hash and shared a chocolate almond croissant. Oh my! It was divine!
google avatar

Kristin H.

Yelp
La Tropézienne was refreshing and citrusy, light on the palate. Highly recommend. Le Parfait Signature was great for chocolate lovers, though I most likely would not be able to tell it apart from a store-bought mousse. There are indoor and outdoor seatings, appropriate for families, dates, and casual gatherings. Service was prompt and friendly.
google avatar

KC C.

Yelp
Such a cute and tasty place downtown SD. We grabbed a caramel Brulé latte and a fancy hot chocolate with.. a cookie on a croissant! It was perfect amount of sweetness. Such a great combination. The place was open and the decor was just as cute and gave the vibe of a cafe in Paris. There were open seating the windows opened out to the street. I am sure it would be perfect on a sunny day! The menu had an array of wine, champagne, cocktails, coffee, pastries and sandwiches. Definitely a place to stop by for coffee or a sweet treat with friendly quick service!
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Took a walk on my lunch break and decided to check this little cafe out! Even though it's loud and busy in downtown, the inside of this cafe is quiet and clean. I ordered the viral crookie and it did not disappoint! Super soft and warm. Definitely bringing my laptop next time to get some work done.

Yelp
Le Parfait Paris in Gaslamp San Diego is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, inviting ambiance that feels authentically Parisian. The pastry selection is stunning--each treat looks like a work of art, and they taste even better. The croissants are perfectly flaky, the macarons are delicate and full of flavor, and the selection of sandwiches and quiches offer a delicious savory balance. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel special. Whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee or indulging in a full meal, the attention to detail is evident in every dish. It's the perfect spot for a cozy breakfast, lunch, or even a romantic date. I can't recommend Le Parfait Paris enough if you're looking for a little taste of France right in the heart of San Diego!
google avatar

Suzy S.

Yelp
The employees were helpful with our breakfast selections. I had the vegetable quiche.

Yelp
Okay this is a dessert place; it's kinda hard not to like it when you go in. As you can tell by my 2 cold case pics, and its name, this is an upscale dessert place. While I don't speak French, I certainly can eat it. And so I had to ask their staff what all these items were - apparently I'm not the only one to ask for help, and the staff was helpful. This is a takeaway store, so keep an eye out for shared outdoor seating. We shared the Le Noisette. It's basically a hazelnut torte (yeah, I know it says it's a biscuit but this isn't the hard biscuit that I'm used to). You can see from my stand alone pic, it's really a work of food artistry. I'll confess I'm not a dessert person or connoisseur, so I'm sure I missed a bunch of remarkable subtleties. I thought it was tasty, but not overly sweet. The top dollops were a firm mouse with a light flavor. There was a good contrast of flavorful crunches among the moist, yet firm; I'll call it cake (biscuit). Next time we should pair this with a robust coffee or liquor from down the sidewalk.

Yelp
I would give this place more than five stars if it was an option. From the service to the setting and the food, my girl friend and I were blown away! EVERYTHING we ordered was fabulous! The Benedict is truly 10/10. I got it with Canadian bacon (classic). The crookie (croissant cookie) was scrumptious along with all of the other yummy desserts we tried! Leon & Andrew were both great. Super friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
That might have been the best "pain au chocolat" I have had in the US. We tried other things that were really good, but the viennoiserie was the highlight. Tried a crookie, not my thing but wife loved it. On the pricey side but a good experience nonetheless.
