It was honestly such a fun surprise to see Paris Baguette here in Chicago.
The moment I saw the sign on Michigan Avenue, it immediately reminded me of my recent trip to Korea.
Not long ago I visited Seoul and Busan, and Paris Baguette was everywhere. You can find it on so many streets there, and it has become a very familiar bakery brand in Korea.
Of course, the concept of Paris Baguette is a bit different from a traditional artisan bakery.
It feels more like a large, well-organized bakery chain with a production system behind it, rather than a small handcrafted neighborhood bakery.
But that doesn’t take away from the experience at all. In fact, they do a really great job offering a huge variety of breads, pastries, and cakes that are both attractive and delicious.
When you walk inside, the first thing you notice is the incredible selection.
There are so many different types of bread, sweet pastries, sandwiches, and beautifully decorated cakes.
It almost becomes difficult to choose just one thing. Honestly, just looking at all the options made me feel full already! Everything looks colorful, fresh, and very tempting.
The flavors are also very enjoyable.
Even though it’s a chain bakery, many of the items are surprisingly tasty and satisfying.
It’s a great place if you want a quick pastry, a light breakfast, or a small dessert with coffee.
For me personally, visiting this location felt a little nostalgic because it reminded me of my time traveling in Korea.
It’s nice to see this familiar bakery brand expanding internationally and bringing a small taste of that experience to Chicago.
I really hope this location continues to do well and stays here for a long time.
A fun and delicious stop if you’re walking around the South Loop area of Chicago.
