Detroit-Style Pizza Pop-Up Thunderbird Pies Finds a Permanent Home in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"I note that Paris Baguette, a French-Asian pastry chain founded in Korea in 1988 and known for French-style baked goods like croissants, breads and pastries with Asian-style ingredients such as matcha and red bean fillings, is plotting a second North Texas location in Carrollton within the next few months; a Lewisville location opened in 2019." - Brittanie Shey

I went to Paris Baguette in Lewisville to buy a birthday cake for my sister, and I really liked the place. It smelled so good inside and had many tasty items like croissants, pastries, macarons, and cakes. We bought the Chocolate Chiffon Cake. It felt a little expensive, but maybe the taste will be worth it. I expected a printed birthday topper, but that’s okay. Overall, it’s a nice place with good food and a happy vibe.

On 11/22/25 at 11:48 I went to purchase an iced tea and a mocha frape both large. Menu said the tea was $3.59 and the frape was $5.59. When I got my receipt I told the lady who looked like the manager that the prices are wrong but she started to ring me up for the items I was telling her. When she finally understood and noticed she just said it hasn't been updated. Just didn't seem to care that they just stole from me, totally unbothered. Since I didn't want to make a big deal I reached out to corporate and I am awaiting a response. Just be aware of the pricing on your receipts. Not to mention that I saw a lady putting out pastries held a tray with a bare hand and her other hand was gloved. Who knows what other rules they break when they have a rush. EDIT: So there was a response to my review to reach out to them. It is funny that I went on their website same time I did this review and made the same report. Provided the store, the same story, and have not heard from them. I wonder how long it will take to get an answer from them if I email them directly?

Paris Baguette - Lewisville Totally unexpected location. Pastries galore! “Strawberry Croissant,” had fresh fruit with fluffy texture and sweet creamy filling. This might be, truly, the best croissant come across my tastebuds! If you’re familiar with Lewisville, TX, you know for number of years some parts of it were run down and not taken care of. Vista Ridge Mall, was one of those neighborhoods that was neglected for years and sadly looks like a ghost town inside and out. I recently walked through this mall with family and it was sad to see what once was a very prominent shopping and dining place, became almost abandoned. So I thought. When you drive around the mall, you’ll see a nice corner lot of the building, full parking lot that has a small town of its own. Full of Korean shopping and dining. You’ll find a large, “Zion Food Market,” and next to it… “Paris Baguette.” As soon as you walk through the large glass doors, you’re immediately be transported into French atmosphere. The fresh baked goods aromas are crowding into your nostrils. To your right is pastry galore options. “Prosciutto Fig & Goat Cheese Pizzetta,” “Hash Brown Bread,” “Pastry Franks,” “Mini Grain Cream Cheese Pastry,” “Mini Croissants,” “Strawberry Croissants,” “NY Cheese Tart,” “Tiramisu Tart,” “Sweet Rice Doughnuts,” “Sausage Stick Bread,” “Snow Bunny Cake,” “Chocolate Strawberry Cake,” “Red Velvet Cake,” and surprisingly… so much more. The amount of fresh, handmade, pastries this particular location has can be overwhelming. You can walk around and try to find the perfect pastry for yourself and you’ll find yourself lost in your inner desires. After walking around, on an empty stomach, trying to select the best pastry, I ended up settling on, “Prosciutto Fig & Goat Cheese Pizzetta,” “Pastry Frank,” and “Strawberry Croissant.” When you place your order, you have such kind and friendly staff. They were extremely helpful in helping me with my large selection. “Strawberry Croissant,” had fresh fruit with fluffy texture and sweet creamy filling. This might be, truly best croissant I’ve ever tasted. “Pastry Frank,” was soft to the touch and the meat inside was evenly cooked that with every bite, it was a perfect dance combination for your tongue. Their New, “Prosciutto Fig & Goat Cheese Pizzetta,” was very delicious. The large peace’s of goat cheese, mix with other meats and seasonings made a perfect choice for a snack or a meal. In fact, costing under $6, I was full after eating it by itself. I had to take the rest of the pastries To-Go. Definitely recommend this location for pastries galore and friendly staff.

Visit the Paris Baguette on the weekend. It is extremely delicious in taste. I have tried couple of Pastries and Croissants. All of them are very great in taste. Restaurant is very clean and neat. Quality of the food is excellent. Must try there deserts.

Google
My wife & I discovered this place by googling bakery. This particular location is located in a busy area within a hub of foreign stores. Store - This establishment was so beautiful inside and out. It was inviting and welcoming. There was plenty of seating, free wifi, and very clean. Inside experience-We were hypnotized by the large variety of fresh pastries displayed. My mouth immediately started salivating, and my eyes were drawn to every display case before me. I finally decided on a strawberry pistachio cake & a cherry greek yogurt Danish. Cake - The pistachio cake was slightly chilled and prepared with care. It was really fresh, moist, creamy & and absolutely delicious. The strawberries were delicious, which was the sweetest thing on the cake. We enjoyed our dessert.😎

Google
Delicious, delectable, delightful. Stopped in on our last day of a trip. Google maps said this was the closest coffee shop to my hotel. You will find it conjoined to a dead mall which we went to days prior. What a prize to find this cafe and all of what Zion Market holds. We got a tray full of several things which included the Palmier, Blueberry Creamcheese danish, pastry frank, sticky milk buns and the Heavenly Cheesecake. 😋 Everything was yummy, cafe was clean and staff was friendly. I wish I would of known about this place from day 1

Google
If in the area and in the mood for a solid cup of caffeine - can’t really go wrong here. What sets this place apart is its bakery offerings as it’s nice to be able to have a slice of quality cake or to be able to select one’s own pastries, whether sweet or savory. Service is clinical. Not interested in knowing your name or story - just moving the line. Great place to stop in for a fix but hard pressed to consider it a 3rd place worthy contender.

Really great. The staff was super friendly. Definitely stop in if you're here.

Yelp
We've first learned of Paris Baguette when stumbled upon the Grand Prairie location. My Mom was so excited to see one when in Flower Mound today. We had just finished brunch but she wanted to stop in to get some treats to take home. I forgot I wanted to try the Nutella latte! Easy Parking in lot in strip. It just opened and was very busy. Some tables inside and a dog friendly patio outside. We sampled a bite of red velvet cake while there that was heavenly. It even has white chocolate swirls on top. They have many pastries and baked goods, cakes (whole or by slice), coffees, some sliced bread, and some prepared sandwiches and salads. Easy to grab & go. The Grand Prairie location has larger selection and place but we still found enough to fill a box to eat later! Staff were all smiling and friendly.

Yelp
very kind and welcoming staff! Delicious and wonderful pastries & products. I love coning here on my working walks!

Yelp
It was fine. But compared to other locations, this spot lacks a bit. The selection was half empty mid afternoon. But what annoyed me was that they had off the menu items on a rotating display that I would've loved to try and didn't offer it to me when I clearly inquired about a few of the drinks, not knowing what was what and having explained what I was craving for. Only after I paid and the order was being made did the screen rotate to something I would've loved to try but it was too late by then. Secondly, one of the breads were unknowingly chilled but in the normal display and the filling was slightly hard and chewy instead of gooey. This place could do better because the other 2-3 locations I tried in DFW was great.

Yelp
Very nice bakery inside the Zion market! Many delicious breads are ready to serve you! Love the quality and the variety they provide! Keep up the good work cheers

Yelp
This place has absolutely Amazing pastries . I am so glad I found it. It's a little far away for me but it's worth the visit.

Yelp
Food review: They give an option for breads to be heated, which I highly recommend. The breads we got were definitely meant to be eaten hot. We asked for our bread to be heated and they took them but returned them cold but it did not have a significant baring our reception of the breads. The quality is a pretty solid 3/5. Crab croquette - 3/5 - there is a reasonable amount of filling and a crust that is dry, not soggy, despite being fried (This is a good thing). The flavor is mellow so it would be nicer to have it warm so the flavors come through more. But the corn and peas do a lot of heavy lifting and the imitation crab is njce. Hash brown bread with ham - 3/5 - cheese, hash brown and ham, with a drizzle of sweet chili on top. It was good despite being cold. I think if I were to get it again I'd take it home and put Indian ketchup or sriracha on it. ------ Full review: On a Sunday morning, Paris Baguette is a cozy spot to enjoy a quick bite and maybe a coffee. However, the noise bounces easily off the hard surfaces so I can see it becoming loud very quickly when there are more people here. There is a decent variety of bread given the small size of the cafe. There are milk and other bread loaves, tarts and pastries and small breads. There are also decadent cakes available in slice or full cake form. The drink menu includes some basic hot/cold coffee, tea and frozen items as well as a small selection of seasonal drinks. The staff behind the counter were very polite but they didn't heat our bread after taking it. Not the worst bakery in the world but certainly not the best either. But for the price and location it's reasonable and I'm glad it's here!

Yelp
Omg the restaurant is so good I love all the good food and would totally recommend the pastries! Service is super kind and super speedy! Ambience makes me feel like Paris in the USA!

Yelp
We love Paris Baguette! The service is always very friendly. This is a very kids friendly location. I also appreciate how it is conveniently located next to Zion Market. We especially like: The bears Egg tarts Potato pastry Sweet potato twists But, really, everything is good. A great balance of sweet and savory. And excellent coffee drinks. A great cappuccino.

Yelp
Taste good for the most part. Coffee was Italian. A lot of selections were not stocked. I was going to buy a baguette but it was really hard. Not much Paris atmosphere.

Mary A.

Yelp
There cakes are just so delicious! And the other food that they sell is unique and has a European flair Very nice place

Yelp
It was ok. The hot chocolate was not as hot or even warm for me. I had the cream cheese danish with almonds on top. Ehh it was just ok. My partner tried the cheesecake soufflé slice and said he didn't care for it. He asked me to try it, but I passed. We did show up a little later in the evening and the options were scarce. Place looked clean and there were only a few people there. I will say, the cashier was super rude and just not friendly at all. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or was just tired from a long day, but she came off like she was annoyed we were there and rushing to get us out of there. I hope someone else has a better experience, but we will not be going back.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything, pastries, service and drinks...Sont magnifiques. I haven't tried the beautiful cakes yet.

Yelp
Lots of great options for pastries, of course. I went to 5 different coffee shops looking for a good croissant and everyone was either out or just didn't have them. I was able to find exactly what I wanted here and the coffee is also really good! It's just a walk up to the counter so not a lot of service other than that and not a huge place for sitting down, but I think it's great when you need a pastry and a coffee.

Yelp
So glad I get to update my review!!! I went back and had a regular hot Caffé Latte and it was excellent. The Lavazza beans/roast used was delicious. Perfect ratio of steamed milk to espresso. The service issues I mentioned below also seem to be resolved! They have maintained a clean, cute French style café and pastry bins and glass case were filled with a great variety of treats. Will be back!

Yelp
Tasty bakery next to the market. Great options including delicious mochi donuts, fluffy cheesecake, and pastries. Quick service and very clean.

Tilds W.

Yelp
Very cute place, polite workers everything looked so delicious but was sadly disappointing. I bought a long donut and it was rough chewing. When we got home tried the cream cheese stuffed pastry which was also very chewy. The dough is not Paris quality.

Joanna V.

Yelp
This location was not as good as other locations, the pastries did not taste fresh, the croissants were to crispy and the coffee I got was horrible, I asked if I could change it but they said no, terrible horrible service !
google avatar

Ana Maria W.

Yelp
The cake slices are delicious, especially the Grenache and the red velvet. The savory pastries are great as well

Jessica C.

Yelp
The pastries were amazing! The variety unbelievable! I will always go back when I am close to one of these bakeries!

Patricia W.

Yelp
Finally, a bakery with consistent well made great tasting pastries. I'm just afraid of gaining weight It's pricy, but definitely worth it.

Stefen W.

Yelp
Prices are getting more expensive even for simple items. 85 degree bakery is a much better choice .

Yelp
This place!!!! I came here with some friends for coffee and we got a bunch of yummy things. There were endless French pastries and savory ones too . The inside was so quaint and cute. We sat outside on a beautiful day and talked on the outdoor seating. A friend of mine got a super rich and delicious slice of chocolate cake. The cashiers was very kind and we got our food with zero issue. When they gave us our treats, they came on a super adorable cutting board! I will definitely be back and i am always recommending this place.

Randall K P.

Yelp
Every time I've visited Paris Baguette, I've been very happy that I stopped in. The cafe is very clean and well maintained and the ambiance puts you in a good mood. The pastries are very unique and tasty. The coffee is excellent as well. There is a perfect, covered outdoor patio where you can eat if you wish, or plenty of seating in doors. Very glad we have this in Lewisville. And if you like Asian food, this wing of the mall is filled with other delicious and authentic cafes.
google avatar

Beryl D.

Yelp
Good, but not worth a 40 min drive. I picked out some mini croissants, a chocolate croissant and the strawberry cream cake. When I attempted to order the strawberry cake, I was informed there were no more slices. After I insisted and mentioned my drive, they made me two slices. The cake honestly needs a little more flavor.. vanilla... almond.. or something. Also, the chocolate croissant was underwhelming and not reflective of what is on the social media site. There was one small slither of dark chocolate on the inside, and it wasn't all that good. I scratched an itch.. now the itch is gone.

Yelp
I had the pleasure to stop by at Paris baguette several times to meet up with friends. First of all, I love their bright and clean interior. As soon as you enter the bakery shop it's inviting you to stay, explore their pastry section and have a seat at their dining area. The bread, pastry and donuts are beautifully displayed. Very enticing to try each of their baking goods. I have been to many Paris baguette locations (different state as well). But I like the interior of this one the best. Especially those little private dining areas! Absolutely love it. Just one star deduction for the inconsistent drinks I have gotten. Depending on the staff your drink order can be a hit or literally a miss. But the bake goods solid 5 stars!
google avatar

Vic V.

Yelp
This place rocks on a Sunday morning! We ordered ham & cheese croissant, crab seafood cake, fresh croissants & sweet bread assortments. The regular coffee & coffee with expresso add shots are great! Overall, it's a very nice customer service; the food is fresh & baked to perfection! There's plenty of dine in area & very family oriented. Nice place to have a light breakfast with the kids! We loved it!

Yelp
A little more friendliness toward senior citizens would be appreciated from the owner or manager. Upon being questioned, she came out as a little too cold.

Yelp
This Paris Baguette is located inside Zion Market, and though it may be inside a supermarket, there is still plenty of seating! I am a huge fan of Paris Baguette baked goods and pastries, but sometimes I am hesitant to go because of the price. Paris Baguette is in no way cheap at all, but they always promise fresh baked goods and most of the time -- it tastes great. This location seems new as it seemed spotless clean and I visited after church on Sunday to purchase some loaf bread along with some other groceries. I don't know if I visited at the right time or not, but they have all sorts of baked goods that I would usually see sold out in the afternoon time. So I really think your experience on PB depends on what time you visit. It looks like the PB brand overall is much more superior in the DFW area than the ATL area because despite the three stores they have in ATL, it always seems lackluster there and the choice of breads they have significantly plummetted. I was able to purchase my loaf bread for $5.49 and a sweet rice donut for $2.25 and I must say it was a great experience!
google avatar

Laura V.

Yelp
I was in the mood for a nice pastry. Unfortunately I was sadly disappointed with their selection and quality. My cheesecake was dry and crumbly. I wouldn't recommend it. Their self serve pastries were so-so. My only thought was perhaps trying everything first thing in the morning when items are fresh. However, I'm not one to eat cheesecake for breakfast. Good luck with your purchase.
google avatar

Adrie S.

Yelp
I've come a few times since I live 15 minutes away and to be honest the pastries are nothing to rave about especially at that price. It's very heavy and greasy for breakfast. The only reason I come back is for their cakes. However, the blueberry yogurt cake I picked up last week was awful. I ordered a couple days in advance for it to be picked up on my grandma's birthday. It's obviously it was made and sat for a few days. You can taste it, kind of stale and the frosting bled into the cake where it's a bit soggy. I've scarfed down plenty of cakes before but this one I couldn't even finish my slice. However, it's my fault for assuming they would make it closer to the day I said I would pick it up. For $30, I expected a lot more. Disappointing to say the least since I bake and could have saved money making a cake at home. I had really loved this particular cake for the quality and flavor. But let's chalk it up to it being during the quarantine. I understand during this time, everyone is suffering. I'm willing to try again but maybe not with a whole cake next time.

Vanessa D.

Yelp
Very nice little dessert place. But, the service was not very good. The lady at the front that checked us out seemed like she was in a bad mood.
google avatar

Molly T.

Yelp
Let me preface this by admitting I'm not a bread fan. I mean it's ok but I don't need it.. but this was our first trip into Zion so I had to stop in. I perused the nice, tidy aisles of pretty baked goods.. paused at the mini garlic croissants and went straight towards their fluffy desserts. I picked out a strawberry layered cake and grabbed a slice of cheesecake for the hubby. It was our 28th wedding anniversary so a nice little treat. I also snagged a red bean bun, which I saved for breakfast. The strawberry cake had fluffy sponge cake laters. A whipped cream frosting. I love that Asian bakeries have pretty desserts that are not overly sweet. My hubby liked his cheesecake too. The red bean bun stole the show - after heating it up it was a great breakfast. I can't wait to go back and try those garlic croissants and maybe a ridiculously long baguette. Go ahead and pop in. You won't leave empty handed.

Yelp
I first saw this chain of Korean bakeries in Taegu S. Korea about 4 years ago. This is the first location I've seen in the US. They and other Korean businesses are starting to move into the old Music City Mall in Lewisville. Nice modern interior, very spacious for a bakery. There are 3 aisles of pastries, breads, and grab'n'go items. Today I picked up a hot dog roll and a chocolate croissant. They were very nicely sized, and I ate them over two meals. I once spent nearly a whole 2 week exercise in Taegu stopping by a PB franchise daily for a desert and some kind of sandwich for lunch. So checking out a Paris Baguette again brought back a lot of memories. Someplace to keep in mind when my travels bring me back to Lewisville and the Dallas metroplex. I hope they also move to other Korean enclaves like LA & Honolulu! Repeat and recommend!

Yelp
Ordered a variety of pastries, a cake, and a ham croissant and all of it was just bland. It felt like I had COVID all over again - nothing had flavor. The only thing I tasted was the berries on one of my pastries. It's impressive how one can even take the flavor out of ham. I definitely do not recommend this place. It is overpriced and a huge disappointment in flavor.
google avatar

Anye S.

Yelp
This is the closest pastry shop to my house, so it gets a decent amount of my pastry business. Overall, it's good, though I think the selection has been a bit weaker during COVID (understandably, but still regrettably). I really like the egg tarts and the fruit tarts and some of the cream filled items. There have been a few disappointments but I can't remember specifically what they were, except that I believe it was the tiramisu tart that was coated with bitter chocolate powder that to me detracted from the overall flavor. Next time I go I'll need to take better notes on what the best items are. I've never felt the staff was rude like some people have said but then again I also don't really care if they don't shout a greeting the moment I walk in. I've never tried to do a custom order though, so I can't comment on that either. I recommend visiting them earlier in the day. That could be part of the reason for the weak selection, I tend to get pastries for dessert rather than breakfast. I need to plan better, visit in the morning and then wait with bated breath all day to eat what I select.
google avatar

Rani J.

Yelp
LOVED IT. This place was the best. My favorite were the mini croissants and the sesame seed bun. So fluffy buttery and everything in between. I couldnt recommend more than ever. The best decision of running into the place.
google avatar

Jonny K.

Yelp
I've been going to Paris Baguette for about a year now and it has been consistent with the quality. I've recently ordered there croquettes and I definitely both of recommend them. I ordered the Red Velvet Soft Creme cake and it was very worth the price because of the presentation and amount of berries and chocolate. The cake is very moist and right amount of sugar and fluffy creme.

Cheryl R.

Yelp
Reviewed menu on app in advance and met friends for lunch today. Only 3 different types of savory pastries available - even though menu shows many options including salads and sandwiches. It was about 12:45 and asked if they were replenishing more savory items and was told no. So be prepared most choices are pastries. They are delish and the counter service was efficient and friendly. Restaurant was clean. May try one of the other area stores in future - maybe their menu items match the choices on app. Restaurant had a steady crowd during 1.5 hours we were there. Surprised at the limited options. Nice reward choices on the app.

Yelp
The manager really needs to work on training employees for better customer service. The food is okay overall.

Yelp
It is a good place in Dallas. It is inside the Zion market. Very convenient place. Sadly staffs were not kind and just had unpleasant experience yesterday. If you don't mind the attitude of crews here, it is a wonderful place with good pastries and cakes. Edit: I had another visit today to purchase a cake today. There were different staffs today. Their attitude was below the one of NJ or other states. Perhaps just a culture of Dallas Paris Barguette.

Yelp
Food is perfect, service is good and the ambiance is authentic! Everything you want in a Korean French bakery! Try the crème brûlée donuts!

Yelp
As Paris Baguette in Coppell has not yet opened, I am unable to provide a review of the restaurant. However, I share your excitement and anticipation for its opening and look forward to experiencing what it has to offer in the future. Looks great from the outside.

Amy T.

Yelp
From a professional baker: Ham and Cheese croissant (warmed) was crispy layered PERFECTION! Macarons: Pistachio 7 or 8 out of 10 (Keep in mind macarons can vary, depending on when they were made) Cappuccino: excellent, but no ceramic mugs, so next time I'll order drip coffee. Iced Matcha Lavender Latte: I'm almost speechless! Stellar! Savor that first sip, it's the one you'll enjoy the most! Atmosphere: clean Service: great
google avatar

Yelp
This place is SOOOOO good. They have Bretzels. Which are pretzels mixed with chocolate. But they have a chocolate moose cake and a strawberry cream cake. You really should try it. It's in the old Vista Ridge Mall where the old Sears used to be. I know the entire place had pretty much gone Korean, but this is so darn good. Try it for yourself!
google avatar

Yelp
What?! Paris Baguette in the DFW area? Having been from the east coast (NYC), I am quite familiar with this korean bakery chain. We used to live walking distance from one back when we lived in NY/NJ. When we moved here, I just assumed I'd never see one again. The freshness and variety of korean baked goods is beautifully displayed in the cases and of course, you can get a hot drink to go with. Lost a star only because they could not really customize my drink which we have been conditioned by allllll the other boba houses and teahouses that have opened up in the north DFW area. Another bonus is that the bakery leads to a korean supermarket and food court filled with fresh produce and foods.

Yelp
First I want to send a shout out to my brother from a different mother, Dan O. from Hawaii that visited my town and turned me onto PB. Thanks Dan for serving our nation and for your yelpship. Stopped in for lunch at this new addition to the dying music mall in Lewisville. Fun bakery w mostly croissant based delicacies. Savory to sweet. One small baguette bin. Good: the fruit topped creamy custard round based pastry on flakey layers of croissant. Amazing! Truly the crown. PB wrapping to go was very impressive. Still to work on: No tap water on ice. Had to buy Fuji H2O at $2.50 ea. The cash register was extremely slow. Poor lady had to push so many buttons. Can't imagine during busy times. We only had 2 people in front of us. Asked the manager to warm everything savory. They need to figure out how to reheat. Everything was still very cold.. Not a fan of cold sausage... Nobody smiling or welcoming. While I know this might be cultural it was a bit creepy with being the only ones sitting there during lunchtime. Head chef stood in doorway staring. The rest: Hotdog, sausage, fake crab croquette and all day breakfast on croissant were good. Not something I would crave but buttery flaky. The dessert croissant dipped in chocolate and fruit custard pastry were highlights. Fun to see and visit but compared to others like it in nearby Carrolton I think they need to tweak a few things. We will be back to award 1 Star for a smile from anyone and one for fast checkout. Cheers.

Came here around 5pm and the options were a little scarce but I think it's because it was late in the day. I would love to come when the shelves are full so I can see what all of the options are. What I got were the almond croissant with almond paste inside, the cream horn, and cream bun. All very tasty. Sad I didn't get to try the egg tart. There was only one and it looked picked over. I would definitely want to come back.
