Nice little spot for coffee and sandwich. I really enjoyed the toasted ham and cheese (just note they charge extra for lettuce and tomatoes) and iced americano. The pastries I got were just okay. There was an apple turnover pastry that was nice. I didn't like the walnut one in the photo.

Google
Paris Bakery in Toronto: A Charming Morning Spot I love starting my day with a cup of coffee, and I found the perfect corner bakery in Toronto—Paris Bakery. The place is cozy and charming, offering a great variety of coffee and freshly made pastries. What caught my eye were the large breads and adorable Easter cakes. Everything looked so fresh, as if it was made right on the spot. It’s the kind of place I’d love to visit every morning for a relaxing start to the day!

Google
This place came recommended. The baked goods are beautiful, taste good and nice place is cute. However, not the best French pastry in Toronto.

Google
I walked past this bakery and it smelt amazing so I thought it would have some great pastries. Went in to find little to no Parisian patisserie items which was disappointing since it advertises its authentic. I got an eclair which was very disappointing, I ended up throwing half away. Giving two stars because the staff were very friendly and atmosphere was ok.

Google
The customer service is very bad. The few times I have come here, the coffee is always overcooked and the coffee is delivered cold. Today I came to buy a codfish patty, it was overcooked and tasteless. I asked the waitress to change it and she told me in a disinterested manner that since I had already bitten into it she couldn't make the change. I replied that obviously I tried it to see the flavor and obviously it was overcooked. She didn't care and simply left. I do not recommend this place for anything.

Macron so good french toast so good loved baked goods.

Google
The bakery is in a perfect location where there's not much, it's hard to say what is my favorite when all they have is worth the buck. They have bread of all kinds too. Staff professional and super friendly. I always go back.

Google
The name threw me off but the products inside were good. I thought it was a French style Bakery so I was looking for croissants or eclair's but the cashier informed me that they're famous for their Portuguese nates (tarts) they were very very good I got the original and the Nutella very crunchy not too sweet. The eclair wasn't too heavy just perfect the cream could have been a little sweeter nice little cafe Bakery check them out

Yelp
It's fantastic that this bakery is open a bit later than usual. I was able to buy some cookies and mystery pastry after 7! That's amazing in a town like Toronto where everything opens late and closes early. Both baked goods were really excellent. It was well staffed, quick, and my heavy bag of goodies was under $10.

Yelp
I like it. Decent prices for sandwiches, decent coffee. Don't expect anything fancy or spectacular, it is what it is. Sometimes you just need something at a pretty dead corner.

Yelp
AVOID. Terrible service, awful coffee. Washroom closes during the day . Food also sucks.

Yelp
I mean, it's okay but get this, they charge $ A DOLLAR FOR TOASTING YOUR SANDWICH -- yup, and that's all you need to know

Yelp
Craving for sweets and want it quick? Look no further! Tab's friendly service and above-and-beyond work ethic made my experience more pleasant. Thank you for the delicious pastry

Yelp
Don't be fooled by its name, but this is actually a Portuguese bakery! I thought it had awesome croissants but they had tons of Portuguese bread and baked goods! Busy place w lots of families coming in and out buying their roles or puffs. I really liked their shrimp puffs hehe. Great when warmed up! Their other pastries were just alright.

Yelp
I got an almond tart and iced coffee at Paris Bakery and Pastry. The coffee was extremely disappointing, very little flavour at all so just focus on the food because the tart was flaky and super delicious! Filled with almond paste and custard, you go to this place for the baked goods. I also got a mini chocolate cannolis there a while ago and it was divine. Very friendly people too. A nice oasis in the neighborhood which has mostly empty buildings around it. They said that even with stage 3 coming that they do not plan on opening their patio which is a shame. I would love to go there for a treat and journal outside.

Yelp
Like the other reviewer this dessert is dry and you can tell it's starting to have that cardboard feel to it. I also stood at the cash registry while as one of the three workers talked with a catering(?) customer and the other two kept shuffling around. Not only was I never acknowledged but when finally one worker appeared to help me she ended up taking a phone call in front of me and it was the longest wait I had to do and it was 10:15 am not a busy time at all. Never mind the dry cake for which they do not accept debit. It was a diff person who ended up taking my order. I am not coming back to this place. Washroom had poop in the toilet, disgusting.

Yelp
I was looking for a good bakery near my place and to check Paris Bakery was one of the first things to do on my list. Sadly, I went a couple times, tried some of the desserts... but I don't think I'm coming back to get any more sweets, they are simply not good, and overall it is too expensive for what they offer. I love canoli so one of the first things I did was to order a couple chocolate canolis. They were super dry, filling was not creamy, and the taste was really weird - the aftertaste felt a bit like cardboard? Their tiramisu tastes good, but I would not call it tiramisu - it has too much cream, it is a tiny bit dry, flavour too sweet and does not have that typical mascarponey coffee touch. A bit disappointed, I was hoping this could be my new neighbourhood bakery - I guess I'll keep looking!

Yelp
Terrible. The guy attending was super rude and showed poor customer service skills. He almost yelled at me for not wearing a mask. I won't come back to this place anymore. I don't recommend it.

Yelp
We saw what we thought was a Parisian bakery, given the sign over the bakery. They did have lots of breads and pastries, as well as coffee, beer and other beverages. Everything looked and tasted fantastic that we got, and we thought the prices were quite reasonable ($3.50 for 2 HUGE pastries!! Each one in the U.S. would be twice that!), but learned they are much cheaper elsewhere. No matter. We enjoyed our short walk and the experience :)

Yelp
This is a fascinating little bakery. It caters heavily to the local community of Portuguese residents. Don't let the name fool you, this is NOT a Parisian style bakery, the owner merely lived there for a time in her life. These authentic Portuguese pastries and breads are phenomenal. The buns are the star of the show, at 45 cents people often come in and by large bags. Or if they live very close, buy the bread they need daily. The crusts are indeed a symphony of crackles, with a very light and fluffy interior . Don't look for heavy breads here. Their donuts are fantastic, and one is all you need, trust me! I'm a huge fan of their custard, orange and almond tarts. Their cream pastries are have thick rich fillings. Be careful when getting their phyllo dough pastries, make sure they are fresh that day. The coffee here is fantastic. They also make a pile of sandwiches each morning and sell them through the day: egg salad, chicken cold cuts or salami. I particularly enjoy their egg salad. They also have those shrimp pocket and cod fish pastries that are so common in Portuguese bakeries. Often at about 9:30 - 10:30 am they have two or three freshly made pizza's come out of the oven. They only do this once a day. If you catch it at exactly the right time, you can have a piping how slice of pizza for breakfast. It's sinfully delicious. You'll find there are always Portuguese gentlemen sitting around the bakery, drinking a beer and quietly watching a soccer game. It's a comfortable atmosphere, but you get the idea that their liquor license lets them sell their food extra cheap. I'm grateful as their prices are incredibly good.

Yelp
Where to start.... The baked goods are missing one ingredient, TASTE! Everything here taste bland and boring. If you are trying to wash it down with coffee/espresso, get ready to taste burnt. This place also has signs complaining about the new minimum wage increase and having to increase the price of their items. But my advice would be to look into their business management and staffing. It was totally empty and had 4 staff members milling around doing nothing. Maybe tighten your belt and don't ask your customers to pay your staff a living wage.

Yelp
Paris bakery is not actually a French bakery contrary to what the name may suggest. The do however serve European baked goods and mainly Portuguese inspired breads and pastries. The food is quite fresh and pastries and breads are all baked on the day they are put out for sale in the cafe. The croissants are crisp and the bread is made well, but the flavours do not particularly stand out by any means. I usually pick up bread rolls and a couple flaked pastries, but there isn't anything really that will blow you away about the taste or way they are prepared. The staff however are friendly and polite. They answer any questions you have about your food without hesitation. A nice place to drop by for a quick lunch and the price is definitely right!

Yelp
Simply the best white bread in Toronto. Mafra, ( an American football shaped roll), is my personal favourite, but all, - rolls, loaves, baguettes etc are exceptional, they bake at least half a dozen times a day. They have a good selection of pastries as well. They are not French, but Portuguese and very informal. This is not a health food, whole grain, new age, sort of place, so if that is what you are after, avoid. Fine service, and you can get a decent coffee, a beer or standard sandwich there too. Whenever I produce their bread at dinner parties, the guests are in rapture.

Yelp
Great bakery --- with a large variety of goods, however most are not Parisian pastries. They have a lot of great Portugese breads and pastries, although they also have croissants, cream horns, croissants, cakes etc. Lots of great custard slices, tarts and coconut tarts. It was hard to know what to try --- will be back again for something else. On this occasion I bought: - some large bread rolls --- outstanding - chewy crust, light interior - some cream cannoli's -- awesome and fresh! -- they also have chocolate flavour - I will be trying them next time - cream horns --- these reminded me of a bakery I used to go to long ago --- flaky pastry filled with cream and covered with eclair like chocolate - yum yum

Yelp
I have been to this bakery many times and never had an issue until now. Walked and stood in line waiting for my turn. A lady came from the back with a tray full of bread and lowered her mask to talk to another staff member then proceeded to use her hands to restock the bread shelf. When it was my turn to be served I asked the cashier to please get my bread from the back as it was just stocked and she wasn't using a tongue or gloves. she told the lady at the back and she came to the front screaming at me saying What's your problem you think bakers use gloves when they make your bread. I was in shock as so were three other people who were behind me in line. I left and so did two other people. Extremely rude service. There is no point calling to speak to a manager as apparently they are never available. Toronto Ontario

Yelp
Wow.. I never experience anything like this before. There were 3 incidences involving in the span of 3 hours when I was there. From underage drinking, a drunk gentleman buying drinks for said minors and finally, a loud disgruntled man getting violent with other patrons. My gf and I promptly left as we feared that someone was going to get hurt. Never in my life have I experience that. I can understand that a cafe cannot control a customer's behaviour to a certain extent, HOWEVER... perhaps it's time to re-think the whole "alcohol" in a cafe scheme. I strongly believe that if an establishment presents itself as a quaint parisienne cafe it should follow through in every detail. Alcohol is certainly not needed in a place like this.

Yelp
Bread is just okay. The prices they charge are absurd, though, and they've actually had the gall to increase a bun you get from every other Portuguese bakery (it's not a French bakery, but they do have uninspiring croissants--cafe neon nearby is leagues beyond in croissants) for $0.50 to $0.75. In fact, some corner stores in the area sell equivalent buns for less, so their markup factors in. This place works if you're basically immobile or need bread as a last resort.

Yelp
4.5 stars. This place is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, and I haven't had anything from them that was less than great!! I hesitate to give the full five stars (gotta save those for the super special places) only because it's a perfect place for those that live in the surrounding area. It's probably not worth travelling great distances, unless your pastries mean that much to you - they don't to me. That all being said - the real hidden gem here is their pizza. A slice is something like $1.50, and it's incredible. The crust is some kind of flaky... mmmmmm. Seriously, I know it's random, but check it out. My friend bought a slice only because she was starving at the time, and we wound up ordering 3 more and making a mid-afternoon meal out of it. I understand you can call them up and order a whole pizza made to order for pickup if you wish. Check it out!

Yelp
The service is ok. The food was mediocre and the hot chocolate tasted like it was from a packet. It was sad that it is close to the laundromat as it would be a nice place to wait. Not a repeat visit.

Scott B.

Yelp
Nothing French about this bakery. I bought a baguette that tasted bland and had a very powdery texture - not chewy in the middle or crispy on the outside whatsoever. I bought other pastries, shrimp, chicken, and cod and they were just okay. I won't be back. Staff were not knowledgeable about the bread or other items. When I asked about the kinds of bread the cashier said she didn't know - she just works there for the money. Wow.

Yelp
Great coffee, great pastries! Everything is made fresh and looks delicious. I tried a sweet egg croissant for the first time and it was amazing! The decor leaves a little to be desired, but the delicious everything makes up for it.

Ramanan S.

Yelp
Just go here and buy bread, egg tarts, and sugar donuts. You can't go wrong, and can then ignore what everyone else is complaining about. The bread is amazing. The medium sized loaves are constantly being bought so it's rare I go here and don't leave with warm bread. The prices are amazing as well. They sell ham and cheese if you want to DIY a good sandwich. The place looks a bit dumpy, and there are always old dudes drinking at the back bar or at the handful of tables inside. It adds to the charm of the place.
google avatar

Angel L.

Yelp
Not the best. Small coffee reminds me of the old Tim Hortons sizes, when "small" meant "a dab". Tried the tiramisu (2.95) and the egg custard tart (1.05). The tiramisu has no coffee taste, just seems like cocoa sprinkled on vanilla cake. The egg custard tart was a bit better but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
I really want to like this bakery because every time I pass by I can smell freshly baked bread. The few times I did try (before and after the renovation) were chocolate eclair, tiramisu, crème brûlée, and the Portuguese cookie. The chocolate eclair was hard, the tiramisu was watery, the crème brûlée looked and tasted burnt, the Portuguese cookie was hard and tasteless. The pastries might look decent but the taste certainly not. They also sell bread, sandwiches, and pizzas there, though I never tried. My coworkers had seen some expired cold cut and what seemed like droppings in the bread there before the renovation. I don't like how the bread is all just out there on the rack for everyone to touch, it's just not very hygienic. There are always old men hanging out and drinking there since they serve alcohol.

Yelp
This little café is a nice addition to the area. Although the name implies a Parisian style bakery it is more Portuguese style baking. It is quant, clean and very modest. I have stopped in here before for a latte and was pretty disappointed. Not that I claim to be a coffee aficionado or anything but the latte was a powder mixture ala Tim Hortin's style. I think I ended up throwing it out which was such a waste. I have not rushed back since. I must say the ambiance was nice and had a strong community feel to it. Everyone seemed friendly and helpful. Maybe I will give it another chance.

Yelp
Delicious baked goods and the fresh loaves of bread are amazing! Reasonable prices too. Not jacked up for the hipsters. A hidden gem!
google avatar

Ada T.

Yelp
wow! I was just walking around the neighbourhood and this place drew me in. It looks really authentic, catering to portugese people (not french, despite what the store name says). All their bread look extremely fresh. There desserts looked really yummy too. We tried the portugese custard tart and it was delicious. Also had some other flaky pastry that has custard inside and it was great too. Will definitely be back for more! The prices are great too!

Yelp
Steer well clear of this one. Bought a croissant which turned out to be as heavy as a loaf of bread. Washrooms don't have soap. Seems more like a hangout for locals to drink domestic beer and get aggressive in the middle of the afternoon.

Yelp
Great baked good for great prices, hit the up early for the freshest goodness.

Yelp
The bread here is just amazing it's our family favorite . My husband will stop there on his way home most nights to buy bread as we live in Brampton. I recommend everyone stop to try their buns. I haven't try anything else there but can say the Buns are just AMAZING.

Anna C.

Yelp
The place is nice, but with beer drinkers it destroys the ambiance of the bakery, the cashiers/severs take to long to serve the costumers.the bread rack is close to the bar and not covered, there's always people drinking around the bread and people pick the bread with their hands to check and put it back,I have seen it many times, and I would say that is not very hygienic and is a health issue, that being said the bakery is a nice addition to Wallace and Lansdowne on the cosmetic side
