I am a little bit of a unique case when it comes to nostalgia for Asian flavours. I’m a white english girl who grew up in Surrey. I look very british, I sound VERY british - nothing about me screams multicultural from first glance. Korea takes their flavour profiles really seriously. There’s a science behind it actually. Five types of flavour that make a really great dish, called 오미 (ohmi): 단맛 (Dan-mat)Sweet 짠맛 (Jjan-mat) Salty 신맛 (Shin-mat)Sour 쓴맛 (Sseun-mat) Bitter 매운맛 (Maeun-mat) Spicy And an optional addition is Danbaek-han (clean, restrained, slight umami) like tofu or beans. Korean cooking made me appreciate flavour combinations I never grew up with at home. Naturally after spending years in a country full of truly layered, exciting, rollercoaster flavours…I can’t help but crave some variation in my European diet. parisdabang was my true saviour in Paris. After a little chat, I discovered the husband and wife duo met 20 years ago while studying at art school together. The husband is a photographer in his spare time and they regularly hold exhibitions in their upstairs space. The space is truly charming with a local, cozy feel to it. they introduce Korean flavours to parisians in such a friendly, accessible way. Menus are seasonal and make the most of French produce - though additions like red beans with condensed milk might be new to some🫘🥛 Totally save this for your next trip to Paris. 10/10 recommend. #visitparis #koreanfood #koreancafe #bingsoo #pariscafe #parisiancafe #paristravel #parisguide #pariscoffee

Tourist review: I’m glad this really awesome Korean dessert place was near my hotel. The matcha bingsu and drink was delicious and the aesthetic from the first to third floor was very nice. It is a good blend of good Koran desserts with Paris culture. For serving the bingsu isn’t too big, I think one guy (two girls) could finish it off

The sesame noir latte was a delightful treat. I added a shot of coffee and a scoop of sesame noir ice cream. While the ice cream isn’t very noticeable in the taste, it still adds a lovely richness. Overall, a truly delicious beverage!

The mango desert was sooo refreshing and delicious, the best I’ve ever had!! 😍😍😍 I don’t live in Paris and unfortunately I crave this desert everyday, I can’t stop thinking about it. I wish I could fly to Paris just to have it again 🤤

The mango bingsu was very good. It had real mango and also the sorbet was very flavourful!!! Bit expensive but worth it.

Super good coffee and friendly service. The music was not too pleasant and the lighting design of the shop is too rough. I will definitely come back for their bingsu. Overall good experience.

It’s located in a small street near Saint Ambroise métro station, not touristic so I was surprised having to queue for 20 minutes before being able to order. But I get the buzz once I got served, their famous bingsu is just amazing, beautifully presented and simple yet comes with different flavor depth. The mochi on top is just a cherry on the cake. The portion is extremely big, it’s pretty much a main dish itself. I found it funny when the staff told me to mix everything before serving… not sure how I would do that without it falling apart :-) I would definitely go back again and next time will order mango bingsu.

I'm a huge fan of Korean cuisine, and I especially love the bingsu because it's such a refreshing dessert. I had a delightful mango bingsu 🤤, and the service was excellent💯. The ambience is also very warm and welcoming, and the music was great! I'll definitely be back to try other things. 감사합니다 🫶🏾
