I've seen these viral croissants on Tiktok for about a year now and we don't have those here in Jax. I found out that they had these in the San Diego area and was overjoyed and delighted. We went on a Thursday around 11am (right when they opened) and there was no line. Customer service was outstanding!
Where the store front is located is in a beautiful area. There's seating outside, lots of cute stores around, and an ocean view. What more can you ask for?
We got basically all of the croissants haha. It was too good of an opportunity not to miss. They have rotating flavors I believe. Here were the flavors that we got that day:
Rolled croissants:
Biscoff: 9/10 - I didn't get a chance to try this one but my sister literally inhaled it so I'm guessing it was delicious.
Raspberry pistachio: 10/10 - my gosh was this so flakey, light, and full of cream filling! I could taste both the raspberry and pistachio in the croissant and it did not taste heavy at all. You can see all the flakey layers in it as well and each bite was heavenly. I loved the fresh raspberry and bits of pistachio nuts at the top as it provided a great crunch element.
Regular croissants:
Pumpkin spice: 7/10 - this was filled to brim with cream and the cream was light, airy, and flavorful. I'm not a huge pumpkin spice fan but it was still really good.
Rose: 9/10 - one of our favorites! It was dipped in white chocolate and covered with bits of dried rose pieces. You can taste the rose in the cream but it was very delicate. The chocolate provided some a nice textural contrast against the cream. One word to describe it is "fancy" as I felt I was at the Eiffel tower while savoring each moment and bite.
Espresso: 8/10 - I love anything espresso or coffee flavored and this did not disappoint. I could taste the coffee in the cream and it was an overall, wonderful, delectable delight.
Pistachio: 9/10 - another favorite of mines. You can taste the nuttiness of the pistachio and again, it wasn't too sweet. I finished all of it in one setting.
I love overly sweet things, but it depends on the dessert. Sometimes, the sweetness can be a bit too much. However, these croissants hit all the marks in terms of the sweetness level. It wasn't obnoxiously sweet, filled with cream (they did not skimp on the fillings at all), flakey, fresh, and aesthetically pleasing on the eyes and stomach. Was it worth the hype? Yes! It's like between $6-7 per croissant but worth every penny.
