A South Bend stalwart since 1981, Parisi’s channels Calabrian family recipes in a house-turned-dining room with views toward Notre Dame. Reported by local news in late 2024 yet still operating, it remains a celebratory standby with classic pastas and veal.

Entrees absolutely delicious, BUT! Not nearly enough meat or sauce to balance the size of the meal, or for the price of the meal. We ordered the Lasagna and Bolognese (total $49). Should have been $37 for the amount of meat & sauce we got. OR, I would prefer, add much more meat and sauce, and keep the price at $49. Ciabatta was phenomenal! Olive oil dip was pure, clean, and exquisite. I might add a bit of sea salt to spark up the flavor in the olive oil, but it was very delicious, nonetheless. The Merlot was excellent and a perfect balance. So, 5 ★ for the taste and quality of the food, 2 ★ for the price of the amount of food, 3 ★ for the number or variety of menu selections (very limited). Atmosphere would be 5 ★ with a bit more light to see others at table.

Parisi’s Ristorante Italiano is a gem in South Bend. I had the carbonara and it was absolutely incredible. Rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being too heavy. You can tell everything is made with care and high quality ingredients. The service was just as great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a nice dinner out. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Italian food in the area. I will definitely be back.

We feel so lucky to have found this wonderful place! The food was fantastic! The sauce was outstanding! We had the Rice balls, Meatballs and Lasagna. We loved them and would get them again. The chocolate cake is over the top!!! We had to take it home but we were so glad we did!!

I have wanted to dine here for MANY MANY years. Todd took me to Parisi's for my 56th birthday last night. We were seated next to the windows overlooking the back patio. It was beautiful, eventhough it was in the low 20's and softly snowing. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was extremely nice, very attentive, and really on top of her game. She made my evening special without realizing she was doing so. (We never mentioned we were celebrating.) I chose an "Aperol Spritz" for my cocktail. THIS was my only disappointment of the night. Plainly, it just wasn't good. We had the warm "Fresh Baked Ciabatta" and herbed butter were delicious. My "Rigatoni Roasted Red Pepper Cream" was brought out hot it literally burned my mouth. I really enjoyed it. The sauce was amazing! Todd chose the "Bolognese." He was disappointed because it wasn't even slightly warm and he said,"It didn't taste like much." So in the end, it was 50/50, I guess you'd say in then?m?.

Nothing special about the decor, but the food is quite good. A solid mix of Italian American and Italian dishes. Food quality is good. Menu is not extensive, but it does have some vegetarian options, particularly appetizers. Some drinks were oddly missing. Ginger beer in cocktails, but not available straight.

Experience was excellent! Our reservation was to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. We were greeted by Andrew Y, who went by “Drew.” He greeted us and warned us to be patient because he was the only one on duty, doing both Host and Waiter. He had 5 additional tables already. We weren’t in a hurry so we decided to Dine. The experience was 5 stars (food, service and atmosphere). You would not have noticed that he was working by himself. Matter of fact, the other tables included 4-6 patrons. Thank you Parisi’s and Andrew for a wonderful experience!

Fun and quaint. Had arancini as an app, a house salad and chicken parm. All very good. And Anna nailed my dirty martini! Just dropped a kid off at ND for her first year and will be back.
