The room was spacious and clean. The location was perfect and easy access to the beach. Main issue: we never got working keys to our room. They gave us 6 different keys and each never worked. for our entire stay we had to get someone in staff to let us into our room each and every time. This was extremely inconvenient and they weren’t always available to let us in at the moment so we often had to spend time sitting on the floor outside our door until someone could let us in. We felt very trapped and restricted. I can confirm that atleast one other guest was having this same issue but not all guest. The maintaince people had a key that always worked for our room. So this was not a power outage……they claimed there was a power outage that effected just us? Make it make sense. They offered nothing in exchange for this inconvenience.

We like this hotel rooms and good value in terms of details this is an older building with slow elevator and 2 pools in separate buildings and 4 different restaurants and bike amenities, but the staff not really engaged and disappointed in helping us like we dont do change of notes. Rooms had a brief make over but still an older building with average windows and loud neighbors not a good night sleep, no doors on shower flooded the floor. No mats for bathroom. Good coffee in room with illy coffee machine.

We had an amazing time at the Park Central and I think this is the best hotel in South Beach. We come to South Beach a lot and have been disappointed by a lot of other hotels in the area, but this hotel was spectacular and we will definitely be coming back. The location is perfect. It’s close to the beach and an easy walk to all of our favorite restaurants south of fifth. The property was beautiful. Both pool areas were amazing, the lobby is beautiful, and the room was spacious and furnished nicely. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and every interaction we had was amazing. Tanesha, Shabine, Eric, Marlin, and Oscar were all amazing. Looking forward to coming back!

An unforgettable family stay – Erique made it extra special! My husband, my daughter, and I had a wonderful stay at the Park Central South Beach Hotel. The location is unbeatable — right on Ocean Drive, steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants. The hotel has a beautiful, modern design and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. A huge thank-you to Erique, the assistant manager, who was absolutely amazing! He was so kind and thoughtful, especially with our daughter, and went out of his way to make her birthday truly spectacular. His warmth and attention to detail made our stay extra memorable — he’s a real gem! The room was comfortable and clean, the pool was lovely, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout our stay. We loved every minute of it and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting South Beach — 5 stars all the way! 🌴✨

From check-in to check out it was a wonderful experience. Daniel made sure check in was smooth and let me know about all the amenities the hotel offers. The room was so clean and comfortable. I could go on and on about Park Central South Beach the location is amazing and there is so much to do. I can't wait to come back.

Google
We had a great experience at the Park Central South Beach Hotel, the location is fantastic, the rooms are gorgeous, and it’s honestly worth the cost. The staff are amazing, especially Daniel, all of our questions were answered promptly and we didn’t have to worry about anything. You’re on the art deco strip, the view is amazing and you’re also in walking distance of shops, it really is in the ideal location. I’d definitely recommend coming to this hotel if you enjoy fantastic service and want to be near the beach. (Especially for sunrise)

My girlfriend and I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. A special thank you to Sarah, who served us at the pool—always so attentive, making sure we had everything we needed from food to drinks, and checking in with a genuine smile. It really made our time by the pool relaxing and enjoyable. Another big shoutout to Oscar, who was incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. He took care of our luggage with such ease and professionalism, and also made sure we knew about the hotel’s great amenities like the free bike rides, towels, and beach chairs. His friendly assistance truly elevated our experience and made us feel welcomed. Overall, the service and hospitality here made our trip memorable, and we’re so grateful for the outstanding team. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed one night here and had a wonderful experience! Huge shout-out to Oscar and Eric for their amazing service. Oscar constantly checked in to make sure everything was perfect and was incredibly accommodating. Eric, the manager, was also great — friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We truly appreciate the hospitality and will definitely be back!

Yelp
This property is in my opinion one of the best in south beach. The staff are amazing and super attentive. I normally fly in a day early when I'm leaving on a cruise just because of how flights are currently. I decided to stay here before this cruise and OMG I'm so happy I did. Check in was guaranteed at 4pm yet with flights being crazy mine were moved up and I landed way earlier then expected. When I got to the hotel around 12 the system was down yet Tanesha was still able to help me get comfortable and start my stay. She asked for my name and had the bellman hold my bags while I was able to enjoy the pool. She then came out and found at the pool to provide me with my room key and let me know I was able to get in a bit earlier then 4pm. I was in my room by l-ish Later I needed some small stuff like lotion and such and she sent it up with in minutes. Today check out I kind of went a bit to hard and needed a bit later check out. Again she was able to allow me an additional hour which really helped me get things together and prepped for my cruise. I will definitely be coming back again soon. Maybe even to just enjoy south beach.

Yelp
I recently stayed at The Gabriel Miami South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton, and was genuinely impressed by Sena, the Food & Beverage Manager. I saw her working tirelessly, round the clock, ensuring every detail was just right -- from early mornings to late nights. Her warm demeanor, hands-on leadership, and clear dedication to creating a great guest experience truly stood out. Sena's commitment and professionalism made a lasting impression and added a special touch to my stay. She's a true asset to the property. I hope to see her in making more impact when I visit next hopefully soon! Also, Richard our server was very friendly. Cheers! Priyanka Bapat ( stayed 2 rooms for 3 nights)

Yelp
We arrived after a full day of travel to find out we had no reservation. We had booked our reservation months in advance and utilized AMEX and called, confirmed, etc. we arrive and they tell us that people were no showing reservations so they went through and canceled EVERYBODIES reservation without a call, email or notice. This is BEYOND irritating and they are asking we pay again in full. Do not trust or give this place your money. They don't practice ethical business so I wouldn't trust them with my food or belongings. Mass cancellation of reservations without notice feels illegal.

Yelp
Great hotel with cozy rooms and amazing views! Think it was taken over by Hilton. The staff was extremely nice. I got a corner ocean view room and it was really spacious.

Yelp
I booked The Gabriel Miami Beach back in February (a Hilton Curio Collection property at that time) for two separate stays. Without any notice, the hotel was sold and rebranded as Park Central South Beach. I only discovered this change when I checked my reservation in late September and thought it had been canceled. I called the hotel to confirm my reservation. It was still in the system but the hotel was no longer part of the Hilton Honors program. Further, the hotel acknowledged that not all guests had been informed of the management change. To make sound like they had done something they told me my rate would not change. Really? Without informing me of the change, offering an upgrade or alternatives, this felt like a disrespectful downgrade. No resolution, no apology, no ownership. Service at Park Central is not on par with the Hilton Curio brand. The service (with the exception of Oscar and Stephen) was indifferent, the amenities were lacking, and the $300 security deposit was never disclosed in advance. This experience was a complete failure in customer service and brand integrity.

Yelp
Honestly my favourite Hilton property! It makes business feel like vacation- truly. Always fabulous rooms, Great location, and 5-star service. It doesn't feel like a hotel, but rather an oasis on south beach. Be sure to itemize the beach chairs and room credit (if status permits). Go for a swim in either pool. The amenities are also high end. Ocean front rooms are of course awesome, but it is south beach, so if you value quiet, ask for a pool view. The noise in ocean rooms from the street is not unreasonable, it just won't be very quiet. Can be VERY pricy in high season or weekends, but I have had it as cheap as $130 for a random 1 night in low season.

Yelp
The Gabriel Hotel, part of the Hilton line of hotels, is on the famous Ocean Drive in South Beach, where there are a host of bars, restaurants, hang-out spots & of course Miami Beach. I woke up this morning getting ready for work but longing to be in Miami, wishing to take in the beautiful sunshine and gorgeous weather. Well, this led me to do the next best thing - write this long overdue review-lol. Thsi reveiew is for The Gabriel Pool. There will be a few more Miami reviews coming soon.... The arrangement between Goodtime Hotel (my favorite Miami Hotel thus far) and The Gabriel is that Goodtime Hotel guests can use pools at The Gabriel during Goodtime Hotel "pool party" hours. Going to The Gabriel Hotel to utilize this perk is good for people who want to have a "relaxation-type" of pool experience. Once you request wanting to use The Gabriel Hotel pools, Goodtime Hotel gives you a ribbon to place onto your wrist, giving you access - The walk from Goodtime Hotel to The Gabriel is short & you are there within minutes. A Gabriel Hotel Staffperson at the front entrance greeted me well and directed me to the pool area. The Gabriel Hotel has two pools - one on the 1st floor and they have a rooftop pool. It was easy to find the elevator to get to the rooftop and to stay up there for a while. The 1st floor poolside area is more spacious than the rooftop pool, so it was nice to hang out there for most of the time. Fabulous sunshine and fantastic warm pool water, as well as minimal noise in the area, made this experience enjoyable. A mixture of other Goodtime Hotel guests as well as Gabriel Hotel guests were present, some ordered food to have poolside, and everyone seemed to have a good time. 1st fl. poolside area also had mini-sofa seats, a bar area, patio furniture w/ umbrellas, etc. Although they were a bit flimsy, there was a sizeable number of towels for guests to use so one can get as many as needed. Gabriel Hotel has nice decor in the form of colorful wall artwork and antique- style looking furniture in the area near the elevator that led to the rooftop pool. Instagram - @thegabrielsouthbeach

Yelp
The room was a good size and overall quiet for being so close to the beach. However, the tv never worked, the water never got warm and the decor was dated and a little stained. But it gets points for location and quietness.

Yelp
Overall we liked this hotel, our room and experience. Here is what we really liked, what to expect and opportunities for improvement. Pros: We booked a suite with our two toddlers and there was plenty of space for 4 of us and the bathroom was a nice size and there was plenty of seating in our room. The location was great since it's right across the street from the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants. The hotel staff usually answered the phone and were friendly when we needed housekeeping, ice and to discuss the loud music at night. The pool area had plenty of towels throughout the day. The room and facility were well maintained and clean. The bell hop greeted us right when we arrived and helped us with our bags and the check-in process was quick. Guests also get complimentary beach chairs, you just need to check-in with someone working the beach stand. The rooftop pool was heated which made it enjoyable to lounge in with our kids. What to expect: We had an ocean facing room which was great but there are restaurants right below that play music until 12:30 AM and the sound comes into the room since the walls/building are not sound proof. Some of the restaurants are also not owned by the hotel so there is not much they can do. It made it harder to fall asleep in the bedroom area but it did not seem to affect our toddlers since they were in the living room area. We also heard the couple next to us making loud undesirable noises and bed banging against the wall in the middle of the night which woke us up two nights in a row. I can't mention what they were doing in this review but you can probably guess. Opportunities for improvement: There is no reasonably priced coffee onsite. It was $9 for a latte at one of their restaurants! I also tried calling guest services and front desk one day and nobody answered and our room was never cleaned that day. We liked our stay here despite the "minor" issues we had and would consider staying here again if we had a quieter room.

Yelp
We had an amazing week here celebrating my birthday! We had quite literally zero issues or complaints with this place. We stayed in building 2, which is stairs only, but I personally enjoyed it since I hate waiting for elevators. As a family of 3, this was a perfect place, we had very separated areas to sleep in and an amazing bathroom! When we first arrived in Miami Beach, we got the far before our check in time, but they kindly let us store our bags so that we could go and walk around the streets without any hassle. When we came back at 4pm, we easily got our bags and someone even came over to help carry them up the stairs for us. The restaurant attached to it was very delicious and all the staff was so kind! This included the people at the front desk, at the bar, in the restaurant, at the hostess stand, the valet & the cleaning staff. The pool was pretty cool and the lounge chairs around it were super comfy. The gym was pretty cool, nothing special but most definitely got the job done, it had two pelotons too! With our stay we had free access to any of their 8 electric bikes, which was very nice to take around and explore the area. We also we given 2 lounge chairs at the beach, which were included with our stay, and there was also the option to get an umbrella or more seats, and get food or drinks down at the beach. This location was great! A simple walk across the street to get to the beach, and it was in a very nice area filled with amazing people! If you get a chance to travel to Miami Beach and need a place to stay, please come here, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Everything about this location is amazing. The only request I would have is to have more outlets or an extension cord for the rooms.

Yelp
It takes a lot for my to give one star, but I believe this hotel deserves it. From the moment we arrived, we had nothing but issue after issue. The team politely offered to store our bags as we arrived two hours before check in. When we retrieved our bags from storage, our alcohol and food bags were missing. They told us everything we had checked in with them was there, but it wasn't. When we finally got access to the room, our missing bags were hidden in a corner far from where we originally had placed our bags. This was very suspicious. Several other issues included no easy way to get ice, being rejected ice from the bars and only able to get it from the kitchen that never seemed to have anyone available to get it for us. We requested towels upwards of 15 times over our 4 day stay and only received towels once we stood at the front desk and waited for them to bring them to us. We started to just take pool towels as we never got fresh towels in our room. One of our rooms in our reservation never had hot water the entire trip, even after multiple requests to have it looked at. Another one of our rooms had steam coming out of the toilet because the water was so hot. Our room never cooled down as there was no way to vent out the room (no vent in the bathroom and no window could be cracked open). Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay and service. And after the entire trip when we formally lodged a complaint, they comped us our resort fees which was very minimal in comparison to how much we spent on 3 rooms for the long weekend. Needless to say, we will not be back.

Yelp
The Gabriel in South Beach was beautiful. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beach. We loved the preservation of the original art deco, while still keeping a modern and clean feel. The lobby smelled excellent, clean, and luxurious. We had a wonderful experience with Tim, the hotel manager, who showed us the two pools and stowed our bags before check in. Keith, another staff member, was welcoming and friendly towards our family. Our interactions with all staff were positive. The only two critiques I have are the parking situation and the area around. The hotel offers a pricey valet, and no on-site parking. We had to park in an expensive garage overnight a block away. Additionally, the area around the hotel was noisy, crowded, full of tourists. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at the Gabriel and we would come again.
google avatar

Becca S.

Yelp
Nice location. The rooms are stylish modern and clean. Even being on ocean Drive for Memorial weekend our room was overall very quiet inside. Front desk was friendly. Good value for the money also
google avatar

Ruchi V.

Yelp
I have some mixed feelings about this place. While the lobby is absolutely gorgeous, the elevator was definitely forgotten during whatever recent remodel they had. It was so old that it broke during our stay, which meant we carried our bags down 4 flights of stairs before check out. Our room randomly locked us out so we had to call Maintence which took additional time away from actually enjoying our trip. I was surprised that there were such new parts of the hotel with basic things like door handles and elevators breaking down in the same building. I was also surprised that they did not advertise their rooftop pool whatsoever- it was completely deserted and I had to walk a ton to find it. I wish we knew about it earlier, because it had a glass bottom that looked down into one of the lobbies which is actually pretty epic but was kept a secret. Overall the location was close to the beach, but be prepared to pay tourist prices for surrounding restaurants when you come for sure.

Riya B.

Yelp
The entire experience was amazing. The location is what made it even more special along with the fine hospitality. After an exhausting day of exploring Ocean Dr, the refreshing drinks at the hotels many restaurants are to die for. The service I experienced pool side was amazing, with waiters checking in and serving you pool side. I would highly recommend The Gabriel Miami South Beach to anyone looking to have a great time on Miami's South Beach.
google avatar

Kris A.

Yelp
We enjoyed this quaint motel and appreciated the art deco style. The pictures of South Beach from the 30's that hang through out the Gabriel are amazing. They gave us the 5 star treatment. Everyone was happy to assist in anyway possible. We stayed four nights and ate all our dinners there. Special thanks to Matthew. Also, thanks Kevin for the hook up! We'll be back!

Yelp
Unfortunately there is something lacking about this place. I wanted to give this place a five star, especially since we ended up here because we evacuated for Hurricane Idalia. My boyfriend and I decided to make a fun trip to Miami to escape the storm. We booked our room through the Hilton Honors app, which was easy enough. When we arrived we were assisted by Mayor Mejia, the Guest Experience Manager. He was helpful with upgrading our king room to a king room with a view. The room itself was clean but had a little bit of a musty smell to it and the bathroom lacked counter space. The robes that were in our room had spots on them so my boyfriend went down stairs to request new ones. They sent up new ones right away. Since we only booked one night this wasn't a huge inconvenience but it did add to this review being less than what I was hoping to write. We did get the great view just as Mayor upgraded us to. It seams as this place is in a bit of a transition to be updated but the elevator was defiantly not considered in this process. It's outdated and we ended up taking the stairs when we checked out. Valet did not provide us with a ticket or a text with any of our information and when checking out we were questioned about our car. They ended up locating it and bringing it after talking with management. We also found out that we had complementary two hour bike ride rentals and two beach chairs and towels by over hearing another guest talk about them. We had already checked out at this time and when we asked the front desk if we could still use the bikes we were initially told no. My boyfriend asked another manager who then allowed us to take the bikes out. The management made up for a few things but I think these things should have been taken care of ahead of time. Side note, this place has two pools. One main pool and a rooftop pool in the area that seams to be getting renovated. Overall this place is visually pleasing to the eye but is just seams to be lacking communication and energy. I'm glad we went but I don't think I'd return.

Jim R.

Yelp
Do not prepay for a stay at this location. We stayed at the hotel in March and it was very nice. However, we prepaid for two nights at a cost of $1,180. We booked and paid directly on the hotel website. Following the stay they charged an additional two nights to my credit card and have not corrected the error despite numerous calls. It's constantly, "we'll get back to you" or "Our manager is reviewing the issue". They've been unbelievably unprofessional about this.

Brian N.

Yelp
We stayed at the Gabriel last night. It has been the worst hotel experience I've had in 30 years. We're still here unfortunately. The TV has been out for over two weeks. Told no one. How do you do that to families with kids? Front desk said they haven't paid the bills. Our room's outlets and USB didn't work. We switched rooms. Same issue. They had us move, knowing that USB didn't work in the new room either. And little to no air conditioning in the new room. Couldn't use my CPAP. Elevator door is broken. I truly believe the front desk was purposely messing with us. Do not stay here, especially if traveling with children. There are plenty of great hotels on Ocean Drive. This isn't one of them. Nice pool though!
google avatar

Cynthia H.

Yelp
I visited the Gabriel to use the pool. My hotel was having a pool party and directed guests who didn't want to stay to the pool at the Gabriel. It turned out to be a great accomodation! See my review of the Goodtime Hotel. At the Gabriel I decided to have lunch and ordered a flatbread pizza at the hotel bar near the lower level pool. I found the view of the pool and outside area to be more enjoyable than the flatbread itself. It was a nice area to relax and soak in the sun rays without laying out by the pool. I went back the second day and had lunch again, this time I had the burger which was just ok. The burger had a nice bun but the patty was two thin slices to make one patty. There was not much flavor either. So between the two meals both were just ok, which led me to believe the rest of the meals are probably mediocre as well. Overall the hotel decor was nice so I imagine the rooms would match too. The hotel had a very modern take on art deco feel to it, which was appealing to me even though I do not care for the art deco design. There were smooth and clean lines throughout the hotel with a fresh clean linen color scheme of browns, silvers, whites, and greys, so it made it feel open and airy.

Yelp
Recently spent a few days here as a birthday getaway. Not knowing the area I did my research on location and overall amenities. As far as location goes this is prime real estate if you are looking to visit South Beach. It is located across from the beach and the main strand. All the cafes and bars are within walking distance. As with most hotels here in South Beach I think it's important to get your expectations in check. This is an older hotel remodeled in a boutique setting. Think about hotels in Europe and NYC. Space is limited and most rooms are smaller without the modern amenities. That said I believe this hotel does a fine job with what they have to work with. We were upgraded to a corner room facing the ocean. Diana at the front desk was extremely helpful and charming. She does a great job making one feel welcome. We did have a minor a/c issue the last night but Elise went out of her way to take care of us. Breakfast was delicious and charming. The service was magnificent. Plenty of staff everywhere and very kind. 2 pools (not big area) but nice. One of which is a rooftop location with a gorgeous view. Overall not a cheap visit.....after all South Beach is NOT cheap, but it was a great choice.

Yelp
Eh. I didn't want to, but I had to. Although aesthetically pleasing, The Gabriel Miami South Beach lacks cleaning skills. During my four-night stay, housekeeping cleaned up once. My guest and I practically had to beg for towels, shower gels, etc. The front desk would even go as far as telling us housekeeping was "on it," then we'd come back after a long day to towels on the floor and the bed wasn't made. Also, because we wanted a bit of an earlier check-in, we were summoned to a room located directly on the staircase. Oh yes, you heard it right!!! There were two rooms situated on the stairs. I promise you; I've never seen anything like it. Also, I'm not sure of the "rooftop" they speak of, but there is a lovely outside pool and lounge-like area, which was great. And I will also add that the in-house restaurant is fantastic! Although trying to get a hold of the front desk for room service can be a bit hectic! Despite the hiccups, The Gabriel earned three stars because of: location, its aesthetic, and the pool + restaurant.

Yelp
The staff was super friendly and accomidating. Especially Jordan she went above and beyond to make us feel special on our anniversary. The hotel itself is beautiful and in the best location in south beach. It has two nice pools and 3 restaurants . If I had any complaints the food could be better and they shouldnt be closing the kitchen early. Will definetly be back !

Yelp
My wife and I visited this hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Our initial room was odd. It had a very muggy or moldy smell and everything in the room was damp. We notified the front desk and the front desk agent, Mellissa, fixed the issue immediately. We moved rooms and it was much better. The new room smelled fresh and nothing was damp. The rest of our stay was seem less with no issues. The front desk was very responsive and they were helpful with anything we needed - like explaining how to take advantage of the beach chair rental and explaining how to get to the roof top pool. Speaking of the pools, there's two. We took advantage of the rooftop pool because it had great views and the bottom of the pool is see through - I've never expierence something like that before and I thought it was cool. The hotel has a gym, but I took advantage of muscle park since it was right across the street. My wife and I went to a bunch of the restaurants on the strip. Each of them had their own atmosphere and they're fun. The hotel is in the middle of South Beach so the atmosphere can be loud and exciting, but my wife and I were looking for that kind of vibe - and we enjoyed it. I hope to come back to South Beach and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Yelp
We spent our last night in Florida here and it was a really great final night. We had a top-floor ocean view room and it really was spectacular. The rooftop pool was also a fun treat, with a clear bottom down to the first floor. Valet does take a bit of time, so make sure you request your car at least 15-20 minutes before you need it. Other than the wait for our car, everything was wonderful.

Yelp
They say you never get a second chance to make a first impression and I would say that sums up my stay at The Gabriel. The first employee I encountered did not earn my trust so the rest of my visit I was just waiting for the staff to try to find a way to stick it to me and had a hard time enjoying myself. In a nutshell, the location of the hotel is great. The pools are nice and the rooms are okay but if you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway, this might not be the place for you. Very expensive, unprofessional front desk staff, a little down at the heels in terms of physical appearance. I had booked two rooms and we arrived very early and the front desk let us know they weren't ready, which I didn't expect so was not surprised or disappointed, but they took my # and said they'd notify us when they were ready. We went out to explore Miami and came back at 3:00...an hour before check in. Just decided to see if there was any progress on one or both of the rooms. Was firmly told by the same lady that she TOLD me she would contact me when the rooms were ready. Okay, no worries, check in isn't til 4 so it's not an issue. By 5:00, the line at the front desk was growing long so I figured I'd check again. After a 20 minute wait, a new person helped me and said my rooms were ready. I was happy to hear that but I asked let her know that the other lady had said she was going to let me know and was wondering what happened and she told me "well I wasn't here so I don't know". That wasn't the answer I wanted to hear as I'd been sitting around the very warm lobby sweating for a couple of hours waiting for my room. Not that it's a big deal but I am a diamond member with Hilton so curious if they don't care about members in their loyalty programs, how do they tread other customers? It's not the end of the world but I was spending 700,000 Hilton Honors points plus $1500 of my own money for these rooms so my expectation is that you don't lie to my face twice and then make it seem like it's my problem for believing what one of the staff told me. Okay, that rant is over. Now to the overall review of the hotel. If you like weed, this is definitely your place. The earliest someone was blazing on the patio by the bar near the pool was about 10:00 am and in the evening, you could be sure you'd get a nice buzz just standing out there. I was staying in the second building so I had to walk through the haze nearly every time I went to my room. Reminded me of the time I saw the Grateful Dead at the old Omni arena in Atlanta. If you were looking for a family friendly place, this might not be the best option. My room was on the ground floor of the second building on the side facing the pool and I would not recommend it. The music from the pool is a little bit loud as is the foot and vehicle traffic on Ocean Drive. There was no map of the rooms when I was choosing online or else I wouldn't have picked a ground floor room. The bed was comfortable and I loved the pillows. The HVAC was a little wacky...it was hot and humid (August in Miami Beach) the whole time we were there but sometimes in the night it would switch from cooling mode to heat mode. We'd notice that the fan had stopped and then had to go drop the temperature to get it to switch back to cooling. Very weird. Shower was great and I liked the shampoo and shower gel. Towels were very thin. There were some patches on the walls that looked like someone had made holes in them and some of the floor tiles in the bathroom were loose. It looked nice on the surface but the workmanship did not appear to be high quality...sort of it was slapped together but not built for the long haul. The room I got for my mother in law was on the 3rd floor of the 1st building and was very nice. It had a balcony with a great view of Ocean Drive and the beach. She was very happy. That building also had the rooftop pool which was very cool. I will say whoever chose white as the covers for the lounge chairs made a mistake as the chairs by both the lower pool and the roof pool were super dirty and looked kind of gross. You'll pay a resort fee but if you go to the beach it's worth it. We were able to get chairs and umbrellas from the stand on the beach at no charge, along with beach towels from the front desk. That worked out nicely. This place just got off on the wrong foot with me and that impacted my stay because I didn't trust anything any employee told me after that. Management should train front desk staff to be truthful and courteous to customers and let them know why loyalty programs are important. For what I paid and as a loyal Hilton customer, I would not recommend this place. I stayed at the Loews Miami Beach several years ago and would recommend that as it had a higher level of service, caring/competent management and better value.

Yelp
Rooms are clean and well maintained. Comfy bed. I would definitely stay again. Only downfall was they did not have any drawers to put my clothes in. Had to keep everything in luggage. They do have a closet with a few hangers but that's it. I called front desk for a problem with the AC, response was almost immediately. Great petit place for a few days!

Yelp
This is my first time staying at this Hotel, and all I can say is that the service has been amazing. From the front desk Experience Manager, Maynor Mejia, who helped upgrade my small room into a bigger one to Alexandra, the housekeeper who kept our room in tip top shape, BOTH of these employees have gone above and beyond to make our trip a pleasurable and memorable one. I will most definitely be returning, and hopefully both Maynor and Alexandra will still be here. I hope they realize how amazing they are and how difficult it is to come across two amazing Gems.

Yelp
Amazing establishment! Clean, posh, chic , sexy and an absolute vibe! I love my stay here! The hotel is beautiful! Most of the staff was amazing! Rooms were nice and clean. On site restaurant had pretty decent food. Everything about the Gabriel gets 5 stars in my book with the exception of the guy/manger place ice into my cocktail with his bare hands! DISGUSTING! There was also black mold on the ceiling of the pool bar. Other than that this location is top of the line!

Yelp
Clean room, friendly staff, quick to fill requests like extra towels & more coffee, right across the street from CitiBike trail, outdoor gym, & beach access. Short walking distance to numerous restaurants, shopping, & nightlife. Spring for an ocean view room if you can..it's beautiful!

Yelp
Beautiful room, great location. This is affordable luxury. If Keith is at the front desk, he'll make every effort to make sure you're comfortable.

Yelp
Amazing location - right across from beach and walking to a ton of restaurants. Mini bar in room was insane - so many options. Pool on site was nice and breakfast in bed SO worth every penny. Would definitely stay here again even with the ridiculously high valet only parking!

Yelp
I travel all over the world and a very loyal Hilton Diamond member. This was once of the worst experiences I've had staying at a Hilton. It was a scene like out of my cousin Vinny when he would stay at hotels with all kinds of weird noise, trains, pigs, and farms. Mine was an experience of lack of management. The worst security I had ever seen no backbone no ability to handle customer complaints or put customers first, I checked into a room never told it was above a restaurant that blast music from eight in the morning and tonight till 12:59 PM. I finally had to call Miami police to come out to ask this restaurant below my room part of the hotel property I'm told to turn the music down five officers came three police cars, and three motors to shut the music off because the manager did not have the ability to manage or even look out for the interest of their guest. Security I don't know what he even did or does, but they blew him off Apparently because every time manager told me she's sending security nothing happened. I've had to go down to the manager six times tonight. I finally called down and said please come up to my room and listen to this this I waited 20 minutes. I finally had to go downstairs and she's just in La La Land. if you're going stay in the Miami South Beach area before you check in you have to ask is my room over a restaurant because apparently here they love to start blasting the music from 8 o'clock in the morning from when they open till God knows when when you complain

Yelp
Stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised. It was in a great location and everything was clean and nice (including lobby, pool and gym). The staff was also extremely kind and helpful. The rooms were very tiny which is the only reason why I can not give five stars.

Cindy D.

Yelp
If I could give them zero stars, I would. The management keyed in the wrong amount and accidentally charged our card an exorbitant amount the night before our stay. This was righted, but they laughed it off and refused to compensate us for all the time we spent on the phone with our credit card company, Hilton and The Gabriel manager. Their elevator was broken, with no sign of being fixed, over Memorial Day Weekend. Good that we were able bodied and could navigate the stairs. Streets were closed off at every turn due to an impending Memorial Day Parade, but nowhere--nowhere--on their website were there any instructions on how to reach their hotel, or the valet, or any accommodations on how to get our luggage from where we eventually parked, which was three blocks from our hotel. The management, all of them were dismissive and really couldn't have cared less about their customers.

Yelp
Pictures are not accurate. Rooms and bathroom are very small. Do not communicate well at all. Valet service is terrible and no other parking options. Billed our card over and over during and after stay with very poor response. Once you've checked in you are forgotten. Would highly advise against these accommodations. There is another Hilton ride down the beach. This stay totally ruined our experience of Florida. Worst hotel experience ever.only putting one star because you have to

Yelp
I stayed here for a week and will say the location cannot be beat. You are right across from the beach and surrounded by dozens of bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. You never have to hop in an Uber the whole time you're staying here. The "basic" room is SMALL. Like I've stayed in tiny NYC hotel rooms that are bigger. Definitely not ideal but I guess you get what you pay for. And it was clean, which is important! As for employees, Gordon was exceptional. He was never not smiling/in an upbeat mood and he was ALWAYS hustling/going out of his way to help guests. The Gabriel is lucky to have him.

Yelp
The room itself was good and comfortable. Only issue was that it took about 5 hrs to get our room. We got there an hour before check in and they kept saying it was almost ready every time we asked. They should have offered an upgrade or free dinner or some kind of compensation. It was my birthday and waiting for hours in the lobby was not okay. We also witnessed and 'almost' fight occur because so many other people were unhappy they also had to wait for their room to be ready. The place itself is beautiful, and the workers at the front desk were very nice. Management needs to work on time management and better coordinating with their room turnovers and housekeeping.

Corrina M.

Yelp
Do not stay here. If anything just grab dinner, the food is good, so I give them that. Anyways, I booked this hotel for 5 days. When I checked in they notified me of a $500 deposit. That sounded high but this is Miami. I gave the front desk my card and it was charged right away. The room was supposedly a "deluxe". There was no way more than two people can fit into the two queen deluxe room. When you open the door, the door hits the bed frame. The bathroom door did not close and the elevator stopped working. We ended up booking an extra room once we realized how tiny our room was and uncomfortable that would be. That was an extra $1,500 we were not expecting to pay. When I got back home the $500 deposit was never taken off my card. I tried calling the hotel but of course no one could help. A manager was supposedly going to call me back, that has never happened. I disputed it with my bank but of course they also did and the charge was never given back. I did not damage any part of my room. It was an awful experience and I do not recommend anyone staying here.

Yelp
Servet did an amazing job for his quality of service. Breakfast was delicious and refreshing! I will be back!

Yelp
If you've experienced 4-5 star hotels then you could relate to my rating .. although some would give this place a 4 .. room /bathroom is super small, toilet right next to the door which is right in front the bed ... the usb outlet didn't work and the window view was horrible .. the worse I believe is the elevator that was run down and I had to open a door to access it .. the smell once you come in smelled old... good things were: it seemed pretty clean and they gave a welcome drink and gift bag .. that was nice

Yelp
Checked in about 1 hour ago. So far, not so good. From the perspective of a gold member, who stays in hotels 3 nights a week, and was only here for about 10 hours. Check-in was fine. Some tidbits below: Location: right near the beach, but extremely loud area and hotel is extremely loud. I didn't take advantage of the beach chairs or towels, but they did offer that- as they should because they charged me a resort fee. Rooms: paper thin walls, windows, everything. Near impossible to sleep. My room was a corner room with no curtains? Small sun shades but massive gaps and no curtains so I'm sure I will be woken up at sunrise, not to mention there is 0 privacy. I'm on the 3rd floor and people across the street can literally see me sitting in bed. Very scratchy, low quality sheets, crappy towels. Also, only 2 towels? The room seems bare. Lack of towels, linens, etc. the room is very worn, wall are marked up, very sterile looking, etc. half the lights don't work Smoking: (literally anything) was abundant and really unpleasant being on the third floor. Overall, the hotel is worn, and certainly not a 4 star hotel as advertised. I'm pretty disappointed as a gold member that Hilton would even put this property under the curio collection name. Pretty shocking and very disappointing. I cannot speak to the food, restaurant or pool.

Yelp
Classic Art Deco hotel in the heart of South Beach. Excellent mix of energy and laid back. This hotel is made special because of the staff. To a person, everyone is helpful, friendly, and plain-old nice. Meet Dalia restaurant is top-notch with an eastern Mediterranean flair. Pricey but absolutely worth it.

Yelp
My two friends and I came to Miami from 3 different states to do a college reunion trip and The Gabriel did not disappoint! We were greeted by JAY - who was the friendliest man and he took such great care of us! We were put in the most spacious suite with a private balcony and rooftop pool! All staff were wonderful but we can't thank Jay enough for his hospitality! Best experience we've had on Ocean Drive ever! We will be back!

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Arrived early due to an early flight, asked for early check-in. The woman at the desk kindly told me there weren't any rooms available at the time but should be ready shortly. Elevator seemed sketchy. No hot water for both days, cold showers. Room was clean but super small. We love Hilton but we won't be back to this one.

Yelp
Sharif may be slow The help here seems incapable of independent thought. Unfortunately there's not an evening manager so if there's an issue in the evening you're stuck with a malfunctioning automaton.

Yelp
I am going to keep this very long saga short! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL... IT IS NOT SAFE! I was with my two friends, we stayed one night, Went to dinner came back to our Hotel room to find that our Purse, wallets, AirPods had all been stolen from our Room. Of course the Hotel took Zero responsibility for it. I had to call the Hotel Manager for weeks to final have our night accommodation refunded. Still they will not tell who was in our room or who had access. Also like everyone else's reviews, the phones do not work in the room... There is something very shady happening at this hotel. We did fill a Police report for the robbery!

Yelp
Several problems, from no coffee in the room to insanely bad valet wait times. Both having to wait for a valet to show up and know I even want my car, and then having to wait forever for my car. Huge charges for a "convenience" that can take an hour just to get your car? Talk about ruining my day.
