Montreal Restaurants Work Around Outdoor Dining Ban With City Parks | Eater Montreal

"I observed that Molson Park is a roughly six-acre verdant space directly in front of La Grand-Mère Poule, flanked on three sides by nearly century-old duplexes and triplexes and split in two by D’Iberville Street, which is why Abrieu considered it a natural place to set up his folding camping tables for outdoor diners." - Valerie Silva

Stupid idea for a city that gets freezing for a 1/3 of a year! Confusing parking lots, long cold windy walks between charmless box stores! Should have been a huge indoor mall with movie theatres, a skating rink, good restaurants and warm places to sit, with smaller and more unique stores. Modern and cool, not like Bayfield or Koslov. Think The West Edmonton Mall! Huge tourist attraction, great for a cold city! I don’t even know 3/4 of the stores there because I only go to the ones I like and don’t wander kilometres exploring. Horribly stupid place. UPDATE: pics 1 + 2 are West Edmonton Mall, what Park Place could have been a smaller example of. Pics 3 - 5 are the actual lameness of this property. But don’t worry, management hopes I’ll like the changes next time I visit! Looking forward to a large roof, underground parking and interesting stores where the huge, cold parking lot used to be! HA!

If they could fix the entrance and exit to this plaza, I would be thrilled to go here more often. As it is now, I actually avoid it because of how difficult the entrance off Mapleview is to use. When I do need to go, I’ll drive all the way around and use the Bayview entrance instead. The Mapleview entrance should really be an exit only, with all traffic directed in from Bayview Drive. During rush hour, you can sit at the light for four to five minutes — sometimes waiting through two or three light cycles — before you can even get through. That said, the quality of the stores in this plaza is very good, and the restaurants are great with a wide variety of options. The only real issue is the location layout and how hard it is to get in and out of. If that were fixed, this place would be fantastic

Definitely should come here to shop and eat. There is everything and more. And for lunch we had noodlebox. It was amazing. Then went to sweet oven for a treat and wow!! Amazing.

We went in the Bass Pro there, which is not as big as I expected tbh, selection could be better to. But the whole park place is really big and absolutely enough stores to find everything

Many big box stores to choose from like Home Sense, Cabelas, Michaels, Winners, Best Buy, smaller specialty retailers and places for food and drink. With Rona and Costco across the street, this is a great area to shop and explore .

We are at Park Place Starbucks right now. All Starbucks in Barrie are closed but this one (almost everything is closed due to this ice storm). Innisfil closed too. It is insane in here. The staff are kickin it! First of all, they showed up! Second, they are working like machines. Third, they are smiling, thanking people and reminding everyone to be safe out there. Anyway you can put this message out there to someone who needs to hear this 🫶🏻?
