A local friend suggested to me that this is the restaurant to see Sarajevo in its full splendour. So I climbed up. There are taxi you can take, but I like hiking, so I walked. It’s a big mistake: Not only the road is steep, the strips for pedestrians are very narrow, there are few road works on routes (14/12/24), plus the google map seemed can’t orient itself correctly. However, once you get there, it is a nice view. I sat at the window (they have outdoor area, but too cold for me), caught my breath with a pint of Sarajevo beer. That was lovely! Better than other beers I have had, spiced just right to mask the bitter taste of beer. I then move on to their main. I asked the waiter for advice, he suggested the mixed meat. That was one of the best grilled meat mixture I have ever had. Especially the chicken breast, normally would be either bland, or too soggy, or too dry. It was cooked perfectly, with a bit crisp on the outside, moist inside with just the right seasoning. All the other meats are also cooked to perfection veal, lamb, beef. I had to mention the courgettes/zucchini, I was was just right crunchy but cooked. I decided to go there around two, sat and had my meal till past five. By that time it’s fully dark, and the city lit up! Beautiful. By the way, the waiter is also very friendly with grace and gentleness. Helped me called a taxi back to my hotel. That’s why this is a five star experience.
