Park West at Stockdale River Ranch

The apartments are OK and the amenities are nice for the most part with issues here and there, however there are consistent power and internet outages with the internet outages becoming more and more frequent. If you rely on the internet for work or use the internet a lot, this is probably not the place for you.

These apartments have been nothing short of amazing since day one. Although I was really wanting to leave a review right away, I decided to wait a few months to make sure nothing changed. I’ve now lived here for three months and if anything, my experience has only gotten better since then! The property is safe, secure and truly state of the art. The amenities are amazing. The gym is huge for it being an apartment gym. The resort-style pool and outdoor seating area is the best I’ve seen an apartment offer. Security roams throughout the night. They are building tons of new restaurants and businesses directly in front of the property. Management has always been very nice, approachable and hosts a variety of events throughout the month. I give this property an 11/10. I look forward to the next 9 months of my lease here!

Excellent Complex in a great area of Bakersfield. Easy freeway access, high caliber schools, dog park, yoga/art studio, beautiful pool, modern apartment with many perks. Anyone that posted a 1 star has not lived in these apartments and it is shameful they are even allowed to post. Most are just mad because the did not get accepted, or couldn't afford them. Find another place and don't leave bad reviews. Thank You for a wonderful apartment complex in Bakersfield. You won't be disappointed in living here.

Amazing complex! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The area is very quiet and kept up well. The process for paying rent/utilities is very easy and streamlined. I’ve enjoyed living here and would recommend it to anyone! It definitely one of the nicest apartments complexes in Bakersfield. You get what you pay for for sure.

As an actual tenant of these apartments I can say the one star review that was left was completely false. The first time I got on the phone to schedule a tour before they were even open, Rebecca and the other management have treated my family like theirs. This place is amazing. Modern apartments with all hardwood flooring. The clubhouse puts all others in Bakersfield to complete shame! Into yoga? Don’t worry there’s a yoga studio. Into art? Don’t worry there’s an art studio. This place is so family friendly. So PLEASE listen to a review from someone who ACTUALLY lives here.

I love this place. Three words that can summarize Park West: Trustworthy, Immaculate, and Safe. The staff, from the office to the maintenance department are honest. I lost a very valued watch in the gym, and when maintenance found it, the watch was returned to me. The complex is very clean. Every month the entry way to each apartment entrance is pressure washed and parking spaces are washed. Parkwest community and security keep this complex very safe. So much, I am ok sleeping with my front door unlocked. I have NEVER had any issues with packages stolen. My favorite is the effort Parkwest has made to have better safety measures. Since I've moved in they installed retractable spikes for exits gates and secured the tops of the perimeter. Sure, you may pay more than other areas in Bakersfield, but it is well worth the money. I feel they are very competitive given all the amenities and new complex.

I just moved into my new apartment and the process was very easy! The ladies in the office are super helpful and personable. It's very quiet and clean and I love my new place! We sat by the fire pit the other night and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere! Highly recommend!

All though I am a stranger to Bakersfield my wife is not due to family in the area and living at a different apartment complex shortly while I was deployed overseas. I would always get an uneasy feeling when calling from overseas because of the constant emergency services I would hear in the background. But living at Park West has been a night and day difference from safety, amenities, and the very nice professional staff. My first in depth interaction with staff was when I had an emergency maintenance call after hours and Alberto responded. Coming from a construction background in the service Albeto’s customer service and addressing my emergency response issue was top notch. He promptly fixed/rendered a solution and took the time to explain the cause of my issue. After this interaction sometime later, he remembered I had a dog in passing and informed me about the dog park they will be working to install. I don’t even care if it doesn’t get installed it’s the fact that he recalled I had a pet months later, and let me know due to that reason. The staff here from the front office to maintenance is attentive to detail and constantly working to improve your standard of living.

The best thing about this apartment complex is the maintenance crew. They keep the apartment complex clean and looking good. The worst thing is the management. Management failed to update their list of registered cars belonging to residents for security, resulting in my husbands car being towed. The fee was $500 and apartment management was unable to explain if they had a procedure to contact residents when their car is reported prior to being towed. Management also continues to fail to send out notifications of things happening within the complex. Recently the power went out for the whole complex. Management sent out a notification and indicated they would follow up when the power came back on. Management never followed up, leaving me at work worried about my dog at home and whether or not the AC had come back on for her. Additionally, the pool has recently closed and emptied with no notification to residents of why or providing a timeline to reopen. When I first moved in the whole apartment was dusty, missing lightbulbs, and parts of the flooring looked glued together. Although the apartment looks luxurious, many of the features are made of cheap materials. All around just disappointed with the management of what could be a nicer place in Bakersfield to live.

Been here a month & love love love this place! All our neighbors are nice, management is great! Close to food and shopping!
