Austin Airport Adds Japanese Restaurant Sushi A Go Go | Eater Austin

"A second location of a New American downtown restaurant led by chef Shawn Cirkiel and the Parkside Projects hospitality group; the company behind this outpost has also recently opened a juice bar called Jugo and will situate this iteration at the airport (outside the new food hall)." - Nadia Chaudhury

This place sucks. Very unprofessional staff… attitudes and excuses more than competence and compassion. The level of ignorance with certifications in that place is a joke. My son gained his wings living in this crappy facility. Imagine getting a call from a personal cell saying, and I quote, “ we was just in his room, we don’t know what happened?”… “ his heart stopped while we were in the room”…… Lie after lie… baths weren’t given regularly, he had numerous infections from not being changed, a folly catheter that was so gross Mercy Hospital advised us to move him asap! Having to install Alexa so that he could call family if the aides or nurses didn’t put his call light back within reach of his mouth….. Did I mention attitudes? And don’t try to call and check on your loved one after 2-3pm because the phone just rings and rings… THEY NEVER ANSWER! Which is ironic because when you walk in the facility there is ALWAYS a slew of beached whales at the “ nurses” station. When my son passed, the Director of Nursing nor the Director of the facility reached out. Pathetic. I was never given a timeframe to pick up his belongings either. I went in to get his stuff And the staff had rifled through his things. The futon in his room was missing…. One person said it was in a shed another said it was in another patient’s room!! His fire stick… missing… even down to bottled water I’d just bought 2 days before he coded… gone! The sheer lack of empathy with most of the staff is mind boggling! These are supposed to be CAREtakers… instead they are CRAPgivers!!!! The Director of Nursing is trash! The facility director…. Trash! My son was no saint but he was a patient and their personal feelings towards my son were the basis for the staff they employed to treat him any way they wanted to. Amanda, the recruiter, was kind. She was very friendly and painted a picture of a place that is truly only accurate in a Metaverse sequence. And sadly with Drake Center closing, more patients will endure what my son did…. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, choose somewhere else. This place doesn’t foster a loving and caring environment especially on weekends when little to no management are in the building or accessible in any way. And calling state is a joke because they are better actors than they are medical professionals!!!! I wish I’d listened to my son when he said they don’t care and if he stayed there he would end up dead….. because he did. I have tons of pictures and video of the filth he was left in…. Many, many times ….as well as audio messages from my son scared because his call light wasn’t within reach….. You can pretty much ask ANY real medical professional at ANY neighboring hospital what they think about the care at Parkside …. And their response will be way worse than what I’ve written. Err on the side of caution…. The only grace in this whole sad situation is my son is in heaven not having to be treated terribly by terrible “Medical staff”.

My brother was placed here by a careless social worker who told me it was a nice facility. The only reviews that are positive in this forum, are positively written by staff!! I am extremely perplexed as to how this place hasn't been shut down by state yet. My brother said they were throwing him around and hitting him and laughing at him. At first I thought he was imaging things, but now that he's in another much better nursing home, he never has this kind of complaint and says they are gentle with him. He can't walk, stand , or even move his fingers very well. They did not EVER get him dressed nor did they feed him even though they let him lose 60 lbs in 1 month time (and again where he is at now, his weight is holding steady as they are helping him to eat). His call light would stay on for more than 2 hours without them checking and when i looked for a nurse or cna, they were all watching tik tok on their phones. I was there twice a week and I rarely saw anyone working. The walls were gray and dirty and missing paint, the floors completely sticky every single time, it stinks to high-heaven, and it reminded me of a prison in a third world country. They also do not give any closet space and give tiny itty bitty rooms to patients with only 1 foot of space on each side to share with a roommate. Parkside is a place where homeless people go to die. Their motto is "keep the resident alive" and that it is it. There is no care, stimulation of the mind, empathetic staff. Unless you have a vendetta against your family member, do not place them here!!!

Place is Trash .. Lost a Loved one Behind this Facility. I Would Pick Up the Slack Behind Some Aides That Would Neglect My Bf or Wouldn’t Check On Him For Hours And Some of Management Didn’t Care Either and Tried To Say I Was The Problem When I Did More Than Those Getting Paid .. He Got Treated like an Outsider For being Alert and Able to Speak Up For Himself . Caught him Almost Falling Off the Side of the Bed one night and Had to Reposition him and put a wedge on the side of him because the aide claims it was nothing she could do because he kept sliding to the side when as a cna/stna they teach us how to position to make the resident comfortable or preventing falls etc. I’ve gotten called multiple times because his blow call light wouldn’t be in reach and would have to call the facility and no one would pick up the phone so some days I’d have to travel there and do it myself . Just pitiful and disgusting . Now and Days These Healthcare Professionals Have No Compassion Just Get The Job Done and Go Home When Compassion is Where it Begins .

My mother is here and I feel better knowing wonderful nurses and aides like Tiffany are taking good care of her. It fills my heart and makes it easier to have a peace of mind. She is a ventilator patient and I have no idea how to care for these things. Thank you Parkside staff for taking such good care of ms pat. She is treated like family and that is so appreciated

Please do not I repeat do not send your loved one here. My mother in law was admitted to here from another nursing home....on more than one occasion found them neglecting her. They had left her without a call button the day after she got of a ventilator in her room! I walked into find her in the dark staring at the ceiling with her phone across the room because they would move it beyond her reach so she wasn't able to notify family. The food is awful and they will not accommodate dietary needs. Items were stolen out her room! Jewelry and a brand new pair a shoes with the receipt. My wife had to come in the middle of the night to aide my mother in law because the staff was sitting on they phone ignoring call lights and phone calls! When an ambulance should be called they call you instead of 911! That is if they even call!!!! They billed my mother in law insurance for a week at a time when she was hospitalized! Beware of this poorly ran facility! They never met with us like they were supposed to for a meeting on what was expected of her care. The place is ran down, overcrowded, and don't expect answers for anything the nurses don't care. I asked a nurse on numerous occasions why my mom wasn't receiving her medicine on time! Sometimes they wouldn't do it at all! And their excuse is they forgot or were busy!!!! Not good enough when your love one is on bp medicine or a medicine they absolutely need. Most of they 5 star review are they own staff! They instruct them to leave 5 star reviews! When my mother in law passed last week they told police they didn't have our number when they very much did!

This happened several times but I don’t think it was ever for as long - I went without a shower for 5 days once. The staff is mostly nice. They were understaffed while I was there. The therapists and a few of the staff members were the only thing I looked forward too everyday. The food was just barely edible. I do not recommend this place for your loved ones.

Absolutely the best group of people to care for your loved ones. We are like a family here and the skill level among the nurses is extremely hard to find. They treat each and every resident like there own family. It's so amazing! I'm privileged to be apart of such an awesome team and love seeing our residents thrive and Excell if there success 🙌😊

Such an amazing and caring facility to bring your family. We accommodate to any patients needs and have amazing staff that are willing to work hard to get your family better. We have a hard working nursing, Stna, therapy, and management staff that work around the clock to ensure only the best care for your loved ones. There is also a wonderful vent unit ran by the best nurses and respiratory staff there is.
