Where to Find Margs That Give Back in St. Louis and Kansas City | Eater

"Tucked into the tree-covered hills of the area’s far western suburbs, Parkside Grille has cultivated a loyal following over its decade in business thanks to its creative riffs on classic bistro fare and warm hospitality. How loyal is the following? When owner Jean Ann Mantia’s beloved German Shepherd, Lucy, went missing a year ago, over a thousand people formed a search party that yielded her return. That sort of loyalty does not come by accident. Over her ten years in business, Mantia has dedicated herself to creating a welcoming community gathering place where diners can listen to local musicians as they dine in the perpetually packed dining room. The menu features comforting fare like her signature lobster club or the coconut shrimp, and both pair beautifully with her version of the classic margarita. It’s made with Astral Tequila with bright lime juice, or try an Italian twist on the drink made with limoncello." - Vox Creative

I had another amazing experience here, like always the food was great, and so was the service! The chef and servers who work there make the experience so welcoming and special and I definitely recommend going here! I also quite enjoy when they have live music.

Small little neighborhood bar and grill in a very residential area off Clayton Rd west of Clarkson. Does not look like a bar and grill from the outside since they are next to a preschool. The food was pretty good but not great. I had a burger that was ok. The place is very small with only about 10 tables inside. It feels cozy but also a bit cramped. They have live music several nights a week which is nice but they automatically put a $5 charge per person on your bill so be prepared for that. The music was ok but I think a bit loud for the small space.

We’re frequent diners of Parkside and always enjoy the food. The staff provides excellent service and know our preferred drink options when we sit down. Tonight I ordered the special - cheese tortellaci and it did not disappoint. And the new bread they gave us amazing!

Kristi did an amazing job serving us. Great food and atmosphere. If you come you HAVE to get the sweet potato waffle fries. Hand down the best fries I’ve ever had!

First time at Parkside Grille and our family had a great experience. The staff was friendly and timely, and the food was excellent. My wife and the Salmon Tacos with a side salad and I had the Five Alarm Wrap with Onion Rings. The tacos were awesome and the wrap hit the spot. I will say the Wrap was not spicy at all, when I saw five alarm I assumed spicy, but still delicious. The beer selection was good and they appeared to have a healthy selection of spirits including Knob Creek, Kettle One, Grey Goose, and many others. Prices for meals were $9.99 for the wrap and $14 for the Salmon Tacos. I ordered a Michelob Ultra, cost $2.00, very impressed with the beer price. The couple next to us ordered the Walleye and I would highly recommend it based on what I saw. Will definitely be ordering that next visit. By the way, beer price was a happy hour price, not sure what regular price is. My one complaint was no high chair for my 2 yr old, but the booster seat worked. To wrap up, highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back.

The food is delicious and the service is great. I love thy they have live music and support local musicians. The place is small so be prepared to wait if you go in a weekend.

My husband and I were in the area and had lunch at this little bistro-like restaurant/grill. I had a burger, he had the dip sandwich, and we shared the lobster dip appetizer—all delicious and GOOD ingredients, and the service was great. I wish we lived closer because I would LOVE to visit again when they have live music. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! The ambiance, menu, service made for a really nice lunch.
