Parkview Diner

I came here after a long walk with my friend. We both had an omelette. It was early so it wasn’t busy. It was decent food. Nothing special since it’s a diner. The sausage they use was not favorite. Other than that, it’s not bad for the price we paid.

Me and my family came to have lunch. We ordered French onion soup chicken soup and an appetizer sampler and a chicken wrap with cheese fries. The French onion soup was ok just over packed with croutons as soon as you would peel the cheese back it's stacked with soaked croutons to where you can enjoy the bowl, the chicken soup looks and takes like it came out of a can and the chicken wrap with melted cheese was ok just the fries were not even covered in cheese it looks like the crew just slapped a few pieces of cheese and barley let it melt it's still cold in a few spot just isn't the same anymore.

Very nice real Diner experience . You can have any food at any time of the day. Burger at 11 am ?! No problem, this place get you covered. Delicious!!! Will be back !!!

After the Breast Cancer walk we stopped by to get something to eat despite such a busy day management was prepared and dealt with the crowd in a very professional manner. The food was delicious the staff was working their butts off to provide adequate service. Thank you all so very much. I definitely will be back.

Everything was great the food was good they gave you a lot the waiters were awesome except for the short blonde cashier lady she had an attitude with us For a receipt because we was paying separately but the waiter put everything in one and she got an attitude with us and walked away saying she can’t help us she could’ve said it nicer we are so paying customers Other than that I love the place

No hashbrowns anymore but food came out fresh and hot! The wait staff must have had a bad day, took a while to get someone to take our order, then finger in glass of water and rushed to take away plates even though we were still eating — also didn’t understand english unfortunately.

Me and my family went to this diner. We had to wait 50 minutes for our food which was no big deal. The food was great but our waiter never came back to check on us ONCE. We asked for boxes and the check. We waited 20 minutes for the boxes and had to get the check ourselves. The people around us were vibrant and friendly. The place was a bit pricey though. Overall 3/5

Kicked off our girl's spa day with a hearty breakfast here at the ever famous Parkview Diner. Surprisingly enough, I've never ate here before, and had always had a mental note to try here one day, and was glad I finally did. My gal pal said she frequents here enough to know that it's good food, consistent service, and located right off the Belt Parkway that makes it ideal to meet with friends. I am a HUGE fan of breakfast and since we arrived at 9:00AM, the breakfast special menu was still going on, so I opted for the Hungry Man breakfast, with a pancake, piece of French toast, two eggs any style, so I picked sunny side up, a piece of ham, sausage, and bacon. For $18.95, it was ALOT, but I had little to no issues finishing most of it. It was exactly what I wanted and it passed the diner taste test. It was very tasty and kept me full for hours afterwards. The vibe of this place is very typical of most diners with booths or tables to sit at. There are signs of aging, but that adds to the character of the place. The coffee here was just okay and the service was as good as can be. Looking forward to coming here again and trying something else from the menu!

Your typical diner food! We had also ordered soup that isn't pictured but it came out warm/cold. The food was okay, nothing to extravagant or wow factor but def something that'll hold you down after a night of drinking.

Went here after a night of drinking. Ordered the big boy breakfast 3 eggs sunny side up bacon ham eggs French fries. Coffee. Freaking incredible. The service was quick and fast. Food came out fresh and prompt. Everything we got was delicious. Place was clean and well kept. Tables weren't sticky and the menus were clean. Nothing worse than a diner with sticky menus and tables.

What an absolutely miserable place. Food is mediocre at best. Service is nonexistent, and it's unnecessary for servers to argue about not wanting to help another server's tables because they don't get a tip from it. That's bad management and training. Tables shouldn't be penalized for needing ketchup or syrup because they asked someone who wasn't their server for it. Seriously, a waiter need not say, sorry it's not my table when they are three feet from the ketchup. Even the cashier seemed unbelievably miserable. What a dreadful place to end up.

My partner had the chicken Slovakia was expecting chunks of chicken cooked on a stick got sliced chicken that was ok. Brisket panini was so dry even after drowning in mustard I left half,the waitress took our order but never came back during the meal I had to wave for her to bring the mustard , got $3 coffee had to call for a refill . She comes at end of the meal and ask if all was ok . I said to late,paid the bill left NO TIP first time in Long time .

Early Sunday morning after charging my car at the new Tesla charging area near by I decided to crab some breakfast and it was pretty good. Customer service was on point walked in and was seated right away. They took our order and then minutes later our food arrived. We had a table by the window and had a view of the parkway which was pretty cool. Overall, great experience and a good way to start the day off. If you are in the area make sure to stop by Parkview Dinner for a bite to eat.

Solid diner with quick service. I was greeted, seated, and placed order in under 5 minutes. Food came out fast and was tasty. Regular diner experience and decor, with outstanding service. There televisions around in case you want to take a glimpse of the sports, like me. They have a full bar as well, I want to add.

They greet you at the door! So friendly!! The food is great and fast service. Great atmosphere.. Friendly servers. They also have chocolate mints in a gumball machine free of charge! also mint toothpicks! Very clean! Love eating here! Best Diner I've ever been too! I highly recommend this Diner!

Haven't been to a diner in a long time and stopped by for a quick meal with some coworkers. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. I know diners always don't have the best reputation although everyone was polite and helpful. The food was good and what I expect in a diner. Prices were fair and I think the best part would have been the desert if I had it. All the deserts looked AWESOME although I resisted temptation. Cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I had the salmon avocado burger with fries, my buddies had the burger deluxe with sweet potato fries and one had the pastrami which looked great. I would recommend them if your in the mood for diner food and not looking to dress up or impress anyone.

The waitress was rude. I wanted only a burger regular no deluxe and I was told only deluxe. If I didn't want the fries I would be charged for them. Over charging customer. As noted the waitress that served me at the counter was rude. I will not be going back to this Diner.

Came here for breakfast because I pass it literally every morning before getting on the high way! So why not? It's the typical dinner food. Extensive menu. Very old school and authentic. No complaints!!! The service is great. Everyone is friendly.

Bland food. Not sure how they managed to make everything taste bad. Service was alright. The only saving grace was Bloody Mary.

I've noticed that there are a few good diners left in Brooklyn. The Parkway Diner is one of the diners that my family and I frequent. Their food is your run of the mill diner food, from chicken and waffles to burgers and omelets to triple decker sandwiches. Their service is pretty fast and the waitstaff are friendly and pleasant. Any time is good to dine here, but Sundays can be rowdy but the noise level tapers off around 3pm. Overall, the place is reasonable and affordable.

Visit Date: November 30, 2022 I came here with my friend and two of her friends before we went to a concert nearby. She told me the food was good but what I had was a mixed review. Maybe it was that specific night because she wasn't impressed with what she ate either. I got the guac and chips and the french onion soup. Lately I've been able to eat a little less so I probably should have only gotten one of the things because I got too full to finish my soup. Unfortunately I go up and down with eating, sometimes I am pounding down too much food, other times I'm blessed and can't eat much and end up losing some weight. The soup was pretty good I liked it but the chips that came with the gauc and chips were not as salty as I would have liked them to be. For $11 I would have liked a little more guac as well. I was not impressed much with this diner, maybe one day I'll try it again and be a little more impressed.

I don't know if my boyfriend and I were just REALLY hungry because it was 3pm and we hadn't eaten yet...or if Parkview is actually bomb but alas here goes my review... Great diner. Old school. Good food. Quick service. Huge portions. I had a western omelette with hash browns, boyfriend had a burger, and we shared mozz sticks, onion rings, and cheesecake. Like I said, we were starving. It was great. Also decent coffee.

Dinner in town with a friend and we ordered the cheeseburger with fries, french onion soup and chicken wings and we devoured everything. My friend loves the french onion soup and the chicken wing with the buffalo sauce. We ordered take out for her to take home to feed her husband and kids - pizza burger and another cheeseburger to go. Everything was great, service was fantastic. A good go to spot to meet up when I'm in town.

They are constantly making errors on my orders. This morning they completely messed up my omelette then the reasoning was " I didn't charge you for that". That's great but when we spoke on the phone to place my order, he repeated omelette ingredients back to me and it was all correct. When I came back for a refund, a rude Russian woman working as the host refused to refund me and they instead insisted I stood and waited for them to make my correct order. They told me I can only be issued a refund when the "boss comes". Aside from that, my omelette was more tiny than usual and cost 16 dollars with change. Recommending to avoid

Just stopped there today for the first time. Place was pretty crowded but they sat us within a few minutes. Christmas decorations were super cute, and it's got that perfect classic neon diner feel. Dessert case is absolutely stunning, you can tell they just finished dipping the black and white cookies (which are $3.95 and huge!) My burger was a tiny bit overcooked, but otherwise good. Potato salad was good as well. Full bar with decent priced cocktails. Would definitely come back

sat down for breakfast . Ordered her tea. No teabag. No problem. Ordered two orders of eggs Benedict . What is that sauce they put on the egg Benedict one order comes with no hollandaise sauce . Start my eggs, Benedict Biden into eggshells. . Ask for Manager . No managers available .

I've been coming here for well over 10 years and there has been some great memories here. I used to go in person more often with family, but recently, I've been ordering through UberEats when I get the sudden laziness to not cook. Food is pretty pricey, but servings are huge - usually there's enough food to feed me for 2 to 3 meals. Despite there being a lot, the food is usually bland, but I just throw on some salt if needed, and it does the trick. Would recommend the Chicken Parm, there's huge portions and tastes amazing! I did go back recently to the diner to eat in person, but it's seen better days, it's pretty dirty, the booths are old and not as clean as you would like them. I remember loving this place as a teenager, but I wish the upkeep in restaurant condition was maintained.

It's one of the last diners in South Brooklyn. They haven't changed in years and they won't change now. You don't expect to come here for gourmet food. You expect to come when you need to have breakfast for yourself waking up early and dinner for your friend who just got off the night shift. They have a huge variety on their menu. The coffee is passable and the breakfast is not terrible. Eggs are made perfectly over-easy as requested, and bacon was made perfectly crispy. Home fries were crispy and not well seasoned. It did the job. Where else can you sit down to have breakfast and dinner at the same time? It's good enough, but it's an old school Brooklyn diner and they're not too bad at that.

I used to come here a lot when I was younger and I can say from what I remember the pancakes are still just as good. A good classic retro diner with all the menu items you can think of. We came for breakfast so everyone ordered omelets and I ordered the eggs Florentine. I loveeeee the hash browns they have compared to other places who do home fries instead; I much rather prefer the hash browns. We also ordered a strawberry banana pancake plate for the table. Soooo good not too sweet but just enough with a nice fluffy interior. A good breakfast destination AND there's parking which is a huge plus in my books!

Their prices are really through the roof. Over$30 for double cheeseburger deluxe! They add way too much for any add-ons and they do mandatory gratuity depending on the bill amount and yes they tip themselves well. The server was nice but the food was not worth the price and is way overpriced.

We spent the morning at the NY Aquarium and then walked around Coney Island. When it was time to go we stopped at the Parkview Diner for lunch. They asked us if we had been vaccinated, which is fine -- and yes, we have been. We were seated in a booth and our server was great and checked on us several times while we were there. Food was good and coffee was refilled consistently. My wife had an omelette and my daughter had some kind of chicken sandwich. I had the beef gyro and it was very good. We all enjoyed our meals and our time there. Glad we found a diner to stop at on our way back to Jersey. The parking lot is small and a bit tight so be extra careful getting in and out of your parking space!

Remember this is not 1988 anymore where there were diners everywhere in Brooklyn now most are all closed now especially in queens....Really good breakfast home fries are probably the best in the city eggs french toast are so good...but what's is wrong is the service the waitress I had ignored me for 20 minutes before taking my order I was ready to walk out but where do you go tell me ???..the place was not busy she was more concerned on phone takeout orders...so service is horrible but the food is so good...

Fair breakfast food that does nothing more or less than what it intends to do. The meats and eggs were tasty but my French toast was bland. I also felt the prices were high considering what I ordered. The staff is friendly and they bake in house, but the bakery items are fair despite the generous sized items. Maybe if you had a long night previously you will enjoy the food. I found it exactly mediocre. If I go back next time I will get a waffle or pancakes. At least I can walk there.

Great Brooklyn Diner in a forgotten part of the city. There is no area more " Brooklyn" than here.

Our drinks came without ice. We had to ask for a cup of ice for our drinks. Boyfriend ordered a roast beef club sandwich. Roast beef was disgusting. Looked slimey and old. Tasted even worse. I ordered a burger which was completed charred and disgusting. Onion rings were also cold. After we barely ate any of it we told the manager all of this when we went to the counter to pay. He didn't apologize, just said "we could have changed the burger for you" nothing in regards to the roast beef statement or onion rings. We ended up just paying and will NEVER come back. Once a great diner turned to garage.

The best dinner food i have ever had! The service was amazing and the servers did not try to make small talk.It not to quite but not to loud.

About a mile north of Coney Island, through a delightfully dilapidated industrial area which is easy to walk, is the Parkview Diner. Inside is a feast of Art Deco metal details, old fashioned booths and counter stools, and really nice and prompt service. We went with unusual choices for diner fare, since we all asked for different types of panini, but they were so good and so generous in size that we saved half of each of them for our plane ride hime the following day. The fries were made right that minute and tasted great. One egg cream was pronounced excellent, adults stuck to water. Extremely enjoyable meal and we loved the people running it, service was awesome.

Ordered the Eggs a park view! Poached eggs over salmon on a english muffin drizzled with hollandaise sauce. When you cut into the egg the yolk was perfect! Every bite was delicious! The service was good! The waitress was nice! It didn't break the bank, less than $20! The home fries were actually crunchy on the top and bottom! Love it! I would definitely recommend this place. Give it a try!

So last night my daughter went there for dinner. A yr ago i was diagnosed w/ stage 4 cancer so i dont have much of a Appetite. So shes like mom do u want something. Told her if the matzoh ball soup has noodles get me that. So she asked & they said, yea, it comes w/ noodles. So she orders it to go. I can not believe how they give it to me. So i get this size container w/ one matzo ball & some liquid. So she's wondering where r the noodles? The guy then has to go get another container & put in noodles. I just can't believe this small container is their normal serving.

My wife ordered eggs, pepper onions, and avocado omelet. It did not come with avocado, and the peppers and onions were not cooked all the way. It took about 10 minutes for the service to come over to the table.

Our family of 5 went in for breakfast on Black Friday. The hostess welcomed us warmly and accommodated us to find a suitable table. She was very patient even though our mom tried to switch our table multiple times. We actually waited a decent amount of time after ordering our food even though it didn't look that crowded inside. Once we got our food, I noticed my eggs were popped and pointed it out to the waitress who promptly brought out another one. The food was good, definitely one of the better ones we've been to in the area. The hash browns especially were very good. The price of everything felt a bit too expensive. Definitely not the cheapest diner around if that's what you're looking for. Our total for a table of 5 came out to around $80. I personally would not come back here again because there are better and cheaper options around but we appreciated their kind staff.

I recall coming here several years ago when I was a teenager and thinking that this diner had the typical Brooklyn diner vibes and thought that it was pretty cool. Now that I'm older and have gone here twice in the last month with friends for a late night meal, I've come to realize that this place is just okay. If you're looking for a 24/7 place to get a late night snack or dinner after hanging out or feeling hungry after work. This is a good spot to go to, I mean where else are you going to find pancakes or omelettes or burgers at 1 AM? The service is okay, not terrible but nothing special either. The food portions are huge, whatever you order, you'll most likely won't leave hungry or needing more. The food itself is just typical diner fare, nothing fancy or jaw-dropping good. The prices are a bit high for your typical diner though, I don't know if that's inflation post-pandemic for you or whatever but it's definitely higher than any other diner that I've been to.

First time coming here and wanted to try so many things on the menu, and again, we end up ordering more than we could finish LOL. I wouldn't order the hash browns again - it was very dry and bland even though I added like 4 salt packets. The corn beef hash was very mushy and did not look appetizing. The taste was also not my cup of tea. The cheese fries were good but it was just American cheese square slices warmed up on top. The pancakes and the spinach pie were the highlight of our trip! If you like spinach, I highly recommend the spinach pie!! 10/10 would totally come back just for that! The golden pancakes were HUGE, and the right amount of thickness/fluffiness. Overall, the experience was great and I look forward to dining here again :)

Came in here with my wife for lunch. We had two sandwiches with fries and 3 club sodas/ cranberry. The bill was $57! Service was good but their prices are out of control. I get inflation or post COVID price hikes but this is bs! They charged us 5.95 per club n cram. And charged for the refill. Club and cram is club soda with a splash of juice. This is pretty ridiculous. Why should I support local businesses if this is what I get for it. Been here plenty and it's a solid diner but I'll never come back now. At those prices all just make a sandwich at home.

One of the best diners left standing. Been going here forever, and am convinced I'll never find a diner like Parkview elsewhere. My favorite is their breakfasts, and the coffee is tasty.

Mediocre at best.. ordered the Mexican omelette, I guess adding jalapeños makes something Mexican because nothing about my omelette was Mexican in the least.. home fries had zero flavor, was like eating water.. coffee was watered down... And I got indigestion to boot..

Pretty good place. Mozz sticks were melty, wings were crispy, and my pesto panini was pretty good. The fries kept great and after 2 days my leftovers were just as good! No complaints except they packed my chicken wing bone with my food..

Came here for Sunday breakfast with family&friends. I haven't been here in a long time. I remember their burgers and cheesecake was awesome. Came for breakfast, so there were pancakes, bacon, sausage, challah french toast, eggs, home fries, toasts, juices and tea on the table. Hubby order brunch special $19.99 spaghetti & 1 meatball (yeah it only came with 1 medium size meatball) with house salad and OJ. I shared the challah French toast with my sister in law. I got 2 eggs over easy with corned hash beef. The others got the pancake and stuff. Overall was good. I was full. My hubby & I was also the only ones to finish our entire plate. No waste. Their pancakes was 4 pieces and they didn't even finish half because of how big they were.

Our friends were in a nearby hotel and we were looking for someplace within walking distance. The hotel desk recommended Parkview Diner, which was just a short quarter mile away. So we strolled over a half mile (but who's counting) to the Parkview, which had mixed reviews on Yelp and only a three star rating. Parkview looks like a classic diner, though the name belies the location, as it mainly provides a view of the highway! Our party of four ordered a plethora of dishes, including a Caesar Salad, Classic Cheeseburger, Tuna Melt, sweet potato fries, and traditional fries. One of the dinners came with Onion Rings. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy and tasty. The diner who ordered the Tuna Melt thought it was very tasty, the Onion Rings were excellent, and the fries were tasty but not sufficiently crisp. Service was excellent throughout the meal. Prices were reasonable and typical for a diner, and the menu was "diner extensive". We had a four-star experience at the Parkview and would return if we happened to be in this area again.

I used to come here often because this place is open really late, it has a huge menu, and used be affordable. But I don't think I can come back after having mediocre food that was wayyyy too pricy for what you got. We got pasta with chicken, chicken gyro, and beef gyro, and with a tip it came out to over $80 ! I used to go here when I was broke and now it's no longer viable. Plus, we had to send back our gyro because the chicken was sus. Overall super disappointed and feeling ripped off.

I just had a very upsetting experience that just reaffirms I should never go there again! The coffee should be much better for a diner. The wait staff I dealt with was not on point at all. I was overcharged & didn't get everything we ordered! Shouldn't be paying $50 for 3 breakfasts. Left frustrated and very disappointed, after years of trying, I'm officially done with this place!

So not worth the money. The service is marginal as is the food. Not many dining choices in the area so locals are stuck with this mediocre place.

I love this diner! Best place for breakfast/ brunch in the area especially if you are super hungry. The service is fast and on point, you are not waiting for anything! Portions are huge, you can choose from the menu or build your own omelet. They have pretty dissent coffee as well. Every time I come I get a waffle with maple syrup, which is my guilty pleasure. I always come back for more

Went to this diner with friends who lived in the area. The place was really packed for lunch, but we didn't have to wait too long. We all got sandwiches/ wraps and paninis. Overall the food is your standard diner food. From breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, soups, etc. Our table was pretty satisfied with the food. Service from our waitress was good too as she made sure we had what we needed. The minor flaw in my wrap was that the dressing for the Caesar chicken wrap was a bit loose, so since the wrap was cut in half the dressing was sitting on the bottom of the wrap soaking into the parchment paper. It made it pretty messy to eat. The fries were pretty tasty, but I didn't care so much for the onion rings. I like my onion rings to have a lighter batter and the onion to be the sweeter type like a Vidalia onion.

Ricky R. He was rude from the moment we got there. It was unfortunate since we were celebrating my grandson's graduation (who recently lost his father). We were a large family group and he wanted us to sit in a table that could only handle barely 6 people. The waitress had moved us to another table we requested with plenty of room and he quickly came over and LOUDLY for everyone to hear he said" NO you sit at table I gave you", causing other diners to just stare at us. The table we requested was then given to a group of 6 who looked just like him. That was it, we just didn't want to spend our money there. They don't deserve ANYONE to spend their money there. When we decided to just leave and I complained to him about his behavior and told him I would tell everyone I knew not to go there, he answered in a loud, crude manner that it was ok because he didn't want "my kind" there, that said it all. I rate them a 1 so I can submit post but they deserve a 0 star.
