Parkwoods, located in the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia, features made-from-scratch American classics and creations. The Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter @ Ravinia is located at the intersection of Ashford Dunwoody Rd. and Hammond Dr. It is across the street from Perimeter Mall. My husband and I stayed overnight at the Crowne Plaza after attending an event at the hotel. The catered dinner was actually pretty good, so my husband and I visited the restaurant for Sunday breakfast. Parkwoods is filled with beautiful natural light and has a cozy, modern atmosphere. I appreciate the various seating options; you can sit at their bar, at a traditional dinner booth/table, or in the comfy lounge area. It was a beautiful day, so I took my post-breakfast coffee to their scenic garden, Backyard at Parkwoods. Customer service was solid and we were served promptly and warmly. Our food and beverages came out within a reasonable timeframe. We ordered: Coffee Buttermilk Pancakes with scrambled eggs Omelet with chicken apple sausage, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and spinach. During our evening event, our party enjoyed asian-style grilled salmon, chicken, and vegetable lasagna. The grilled pancakes were crispy yet fluffy. It was very satisfying. My omelet was well prepared and very flavorful. I experienced some pretty good meals for a hotel restaurant. I would come back for cocktails, Smoked Salmon Toast (breakfast), and Fried Chicken (dinner).

We were recommended this place and boy let me tell you. I was pleasantly surprised. The service from Karmon was super 👌🏾 and the food not only was tantalizing it was filling as well. I will definitely be going back. Thank you for completing a wonderful date night. It will definitely help me remember the date, lol

Ate off breakfast menu before fathers Day brunch began. Pleasantly surprised how such a treasure was only a mile from our home. They accept reservations and walk ins if they aren’t too busy. Must’ve been asked 3 times by different managers if everything was acceptable….and it was!

I came in last night to have a little before heading into my room—-and I had a glass of wine with my first ever shrimp and grits. It took a little while, over half an hour and I wondered “did I get forgotten?” But IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT….THIS IS THE BEST MEAL on my 2 week trip to the south! I want the recipe!

"I had a fantastic dining experience at Parkwood restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, our server was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch, and the dishes were flavorful and expertly prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great night.

The ambience is great, the cocktails were delicious too. We enjoyed the rum punch. Good food and good beer selection. They have a decent wine selection too. Highly recommend it for a date night. Outdoor seating with fountains.

This place was nice. The atmosphere was very chill and just all around a beautiful spot to eat. Parking wasn't too bad you can either do valet or park in self parking which takes you down pretty far but it's easy to access the elevators. The service was very good our waiter was attentive and took care of our needs in a timely fashion. The food tasted pretty good but I was quite disappointed that they did not have the meal I was looking forward to having. When it was time to order we were informed that they had run out multiple people in our party had to choose other selections that were not ideal but sufficient enough. I was looking forward to that meal for quite a while so it was indeed disappointing. I will say our waiter did try to accommodate by offering similar selections and the food I ended up getting turned out okay. I truly enjoyed the rum punch it was a perfect amount of alcohol and juices. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves I would definitely come back if nothing else to try the meal that they were out of.

Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and salad to take to my room. Took 45 minutes to get the order! Worst service. And the grilled cheese sandwich was terrible. How do you mess up a grilled cheese sandwich? The girl at the front was sorry it took so long but wouldn’t comp the meal. Terrible service!

Yelp
Parkwoods is located in the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia on the bottom floor and has great windows and natural light which were so great during the early evening hours. I was thrilled to see they had a friend green tomato appetizer, which you don't see often. It was great, too, lightly fried, not super greasy, and enough to share with the table as you prepared for the meal to come. First, don't skip on the fries - they are the sole reason I got the sandwich and it was the best decision of the night. The sandwich was good, but those fries were the star of the meal. If you're really hungry, grab the fried chicken platter, it's huge, looks incredible and smells the same. For a hotel restaurant, this one is much better than most - there is no need to grab food from somewhere else at this hotel!

Yelp
It was very quiet in here when I went, I think a lot of people probably don't know it exists considering it's inside a hotel. However, the food was tasty and the drinks were good! I think this is a good casual spot! The service could've been more attentive, but I take that it was pretty lax on a weekday night!

Yelp
I wasn't area this bar/restaurant was located inside of the Crowne Plaza Hotel & on the lower level. My Daughter & I stopped by for a nightcap & quick nosh. I like the various seating options, where you can sit at the bar, that has both booths & tables or in the lounge area that is surrounded by comfy chairs & sofas. There's TVs at the bar with overhead music playing throughout. The menu offers a variety of American grill type of food & a full bar selection. Not sure if the upper bar which is quaint (2 TV's) is part of the restaurant or the hotel, yet provides more of an intimate space. A simple order: Warm Spinach, Artichoke & Crab Melt Dip for my Daughter & for me the Garlic French Fries. Service was good. The staff worked well in tandem to make sure all the guests were taken care of & in a timely manner. It's a hotel, so no banter for the prices as the atmosphere provides a laid back vibe...unless your a table of 10 having your own private Happy Hour. +Service: 4/5 - Danielle herself took care of 4 tables + ours. +Menu: 4/5 - American bar food. +Taste: 4/5 - Daughter liked the Dip. +Price: 4/5 - Good for the hotel backdrop -18% service fee added. +Atmosphere: 5/5 - Relaxable & sociable. +Parking: Valet starts at $20/Self park in the garage with the elevator access to the restaurant. I have a new late night spot.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience! We came for Mother's Day and had their delicious buffet. The service was excellent and we were checked on frequently. The staff had a station near us and they all took time to talk to and engage with our little one who was so curious about her surroundings. Our favorite part of the buffet was the giant shrimp, crab claws and the sushi. I am still drooling thinking about how wonderful the food was. There were plenty of choices from breakfast, lunch, fresh fruit, pastries and even a tree with macaroons. There was also a kids area of the buffet and they even had a table set up to let kids paint as an activity to give the parents a little quiet time.

Davida B.

Yelp
This place was really nice. It's in the LL of the Crown Plaza Hotel (Dunwoody). The food and drinks are really good. My husband loved the fried chicken. The service was great! I definitely come again.

Alina C.

Yelp
Not a good verity of food. Buffet doesn't have kids friendly foods. Very slow service.

Emma H.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal Mother's Day brunch experience. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the many food stations were well stocked and appealing, and the kids painting and games activities were a thoughtful touch. It was very busy but the atmosphere was great - celebratory and fun. The food was just fantastic, and it was a great experience. Parkwoods is always a good choice for tasty food and cocktails and great service, but this was just outstanding. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Had the avocado toast with boil egg and bacon. Service was good. The toast was very delicious. But it was toast lol.I will be back to try dinner. Went back for dinner had the shrimp blt it was delicious. Brittany was the bartender she was awesome!!

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today. We were looking for a spot to have brunch after church. First, it's not obvious from the street but this restaurant is inside of the Crowne Plaza Ravinia. They have valet parking but if you self park, be sure to bring your ticket in with you as the restaurant will validate it. The service was outstanding. Philippe was so patient and helpful with our large party with two young kids under 5. Now to the food. It was amazing! Let's just say we ate our food and got into everyone else's plate too! We'll definitely be back to this hidden gem.

Ken B.

Yelp
Beautiful location. Excellent host (Michael). Terrible service (Shanice H). Rude, up charged mixed drinks to top shelf liquor when we asked for house, 18% gratuity added for ALL parties. The place was empty and she couldn't be bothered to serve us. Left after an hour without having entrees

Lauren J.

Yelp
Good service, good food. A bit pricey but to be expected in a hotel in the middle of dunwoody.

Paulina A.

Yelp
We came by the bar for a drink so I cannot comment on the food. We were seated next to the bar by a host and waited for someone to approach. The service was non-existent and we waited for awhile before a server advised that we had to go up to the bar to place our order. The order was placed and came out to $41 for two drinks. My woo woo martini was served in a chipped glass with no garnish. The drink was good but not worth it. The only saving grace is the atmosphere of the restaurant and bar, very modern and sleek overlooking the courtyard.

Augusto R.

Yelp
Terrible service... so sad because this is a beautiful hotel. The staff ignore you all the time... expect to be at your table waiting and nobody acknowledge you, then you order a coffee and a croissant and wait 20 min for it to arrive... the croissant arrives not the Coffee, you ask the waitress and she apologizes and brings the wrong coffee... after another 10 min. The family on the table next to me were there before we arrived and left when we did never receiving their order... my wife asks for butter and the waitress comes with a small container and tells her this is "real butter"! She tries it and it's Mayonnaise... overall a terrible experience. What added insult to injury? Non negotiable 18% tip included regardless

Yelp
Was excited to try this place as it is so close to work, but the rumors were true: updated/renovated interiors, subpar service. Went there for lunch on a Thursday with a group of 15 people. We had most of the section for us and I would have expected there would be more attention given to a larger group. But I guessed wrong: 1 server and 0 attention. The server focused on the first half of the table but forgot the rest, to the extent that I had to ask for a glass of water! Really...? The food took a good 45 minutes, which is excessive. I've been to other restaurants with similar sized groups and 20-30 minutes is normal, so I felt that 45 minutes was a little much. However, the conversations kept us busy so I didn't really think too much, until everyone on the table except 2 (including me) weren't served. Could they have forgotten - seems like it, because our sole server realized only after I pointed it out. Another 15 minutes until my food finally arrives. I ordered the Red Snapper, which came with radishes and potatoes. I would rate it as below: Plating: 4 stars (plate looked good) Flavor: 3 stars (the potatoes, radishes and fish was seasoned well) Quality: 1 stars (fish was over cooked) Portion size: 4 stars (plentiful) If the service had been better, this place would have been worth visiting again. However, the experience was a let down, which is why the 2 star rating. Unless the hotel improves its service, I doubt this will be a choice for any guests (hotel or local).

Yelp
The margarita was very good but too small. They bumped me up to a bigger glass for the second so that was choice. I'd recommend the classic over the strawberry though. Wings & Fries appetizer (Thai chilli) - fucking fabulous!; steak fries were so crisp, tender, perfectly salted; wings were great but not spicy and the idea that Thai equals sweet is just wrong. New York Strip Steak was... off. It is the most expensive menu item and it was just lacking. Individually the flavours just weren't there for the steak or mash but eaten all together it was fine. My husband was pretty disappointed. My Impossible Burger was okay. The tomato was thicker than the patty and the overall burger lacked any pop. Also, putting cheese on a vegan/veggie burger makes no sense at all. Some avocado or sun dried tomatoes would've helped a lot. Finally, key lime pie for dessert. I thought this was going to end badly once I saw the pie. The key lime pie was topped with two strawberry halves, whipped cream and strawberry sauce. How in the world could you do something like this to a key lime pie and ruin it? How could you purposely attempt to drown out the possible perfection of one of the best desserts? How... how... how... could I have been so wrong?! The pie was amazing!!! And the toppings only enhanced the perfection. Perfect sweetness, texture, consistency and tartness. Our meal started well and ended amazingly. Also, great service. We will return but will definitely avoid the steak.

Yelp
So this place is really hard to find. I used my Atlanta Passbook and after putting the location in my GPS I still couldn't find it. Well it's located in the hotel and I love the space. It's open and there's a great patio. There are great Vegetarian and Vegan options along with a wonderful wine selection.

Yelp
Decided to try Parkwoods on Christmas Day with my family & I had a great experience. The service was great with recommendations and the holiday spirit. I know it can suck to be stuck working the holiday shifts but everyone was so kind. We tried the fried chicken with a biscuit & gravy along with collard greens, Mac n cheese, crab dip and a burger. The chicken was definitely the star of the show here! It was wonderfully seasoned and fried to perfection. The collard greens were good but I would not rave about them. The crab dip was delicious and I really loved the chips that came with. Lastly, the Mac n cheese was really not to my liking. It had a strange taste to me but not awful. I think maybe there was a unique cheese used but I did not enjoy the taste. Above all, they had a delightful holiday cocktail menu with drinks named after memorable holiday movie scenes. I tried the flicks tongue sticks which actually came in an ornament and you pour it into the glass with a stick of rosemary. Absolutely loved it! Parkwoods is a beautiful spot to stop in and have breakfast, lunch, dinner or have a drink and the bar but be mindful that it is inside the crowne plaza. I think it makes for a perfect date night & I'll be back!

Alyssa A.

Yelp
Would not recommend at all! They were out of the fried chicken so I ordered their burger. It tasted like %90 grill. Waitress was absent most of the time. They got rid of a lot of items off the menu so it isn't much to order. Valet was rude and walked off as we tried asking for parking directions.

Casey V.

Yelp
Parkwoods is the restaurant located in the Crowne Plaza hotel. The restaurant itself actually has a very nice vibe, its definitely feels higher end being in a nice hotel, but there are huge windows and open seating with a nice bar, it almost feels like you're in an atrium surrounded by beautiful greenery. Like most hotel restaurants, the prices are on the higher side. I started with the cornbread in the cast iron skillet because it was the dish everyone recommends. The cornbread is good, with the outside being perfectly crunchy all around and the melting butter seeping into the inside, which is softer but incredibly dense. Almost too dense, that it gets hard to swallow after a few bites - you need some water (or wine) to wash down your bites. For the main, I got the impossible burger, which I've had a few around Atlanta by now, and this one was pretty average. It had the pink center and all the cool stuff that makes it look like a real beef burger but it was a little dry and nothing very special. I do like that the side salad is a spinach salad - usually side salads are basic romaine but this really brought it up a notch. The friendliness of everyone at this restaurant is above and beyond. The hostess even came over to check on how I was enjoying my meal after telling her at the stand that this was my first time. My waiter was incredibly nice and friendly too, although felt like he may have been new and still needs to iron out some kinks. When I asked him about their sweet potato dish on the menu he essentially told me that he doesn't really know anything about that dish because people only order it when they're trying to be gluten free, which confused me a little. And he had to go to the bar to get information about the glass of wine I wanted to order, all things that will probably be ironed out over time. If I'm staying in this hotel and need a quick place to dine, this isn't a bad option and it has a great atmosphere, but I will probably try other restaurant options in the area.

Yelp
Breakfast for 3, $75. Watery eggs, oatmeal that didn't mix with water (????), only OJ and coffee as drinks. Maybe the best things were the bananas and sausage. But no where near worth $20 per person plus an $18 service charge and then having the gall to ask for a tip...it was a Buffett and I've been to Motel 6s with better continental breakfasts. Seriously wouldn't think twice about this place to eat at. Oh and if you wanna park it's $16-$25. Go to the mall and enjoy your meals.

Mario G.

Yelp
We made reservations 7 hours before. Mind you this restaurant doesn't open up until 5pm, our reservations were at 7pm. We were so set on trying out their chicken. When we get to the restaurant one of the first things our server tells us is that they are out of CHICKEN?! In two hours y'all are out of chicken? Or did you not have any to begin with? Anyway, we just ended up ordering some drinks and walking around the outside patio (it's a very nice scenic view/patio). I don't think I'll go here again without calling ahead and asking if they have all they're dishes stocked..

Michelle H.

Yelp
Inside the Ravinia hotel in Dunwoody right across from the Perimeter mall. Tried here for lunch Very impressive with renovated space and new decor. Clean and modern feel to the restaurant. Service was fine. Nothing really to stand out from this. Food was a disappointment however. Broccoli soup was too salty and had an odd taste to it. Like soil? Sand? Is it because broccoli wasn't washed thoroughly? Not sure. Shrimp and grits was okay. Nothing impressive about it. I thought the food presentation was kinda sloppy, considering also that this is a hotel restaurant. I guess they're not really going for an upscale concept. The patio/backyard is soon to open as a beer garden for dinner and happy hour. This might be nice. Hopefully they can improve on their food menu until then.

Tori T.

Yelp
Great location, great food, great service. What more can you ask for? This is located inside the Crowne Plaza hotel at Ravinia. The hotel just reopened after a huge renovation. The inside of the hotel, lobby, bar and restaurants has been updated to modern chic standards. Highly recommend for lunch meetings and dinners. There will also be a beer garden opening Spring of 2019, so a great place for after work drinks.

chejanae z.

Yelp
food was absolutely amazing the flatbread and jumbo wings and crab dip. great portions 100/10 . kareem was our waiter great service

Bonchon N.

Yelp
Sigh. Really great burger and --surprise-- broccolini! Perfectly cooked and nicely garlicky. But, dummy me, I tried to partially replicate this by getting some wings and broccolini and, this time, not so good in broccolini land. Staff is super nice. Atmosphere is very pleasant. Prices are typical for hotel food....should have ventured out, but after eating the chips from yesterday's failed dinner for breakfast/lunch, was not feeling highly motivated. Live and learn. I thinking need to go back to vegan eating....

Amy S.

Yelp
I am in town for a meeting and staying at the hotel. I had dinner here with coworkers. I think there is room for improvement in the service. Everything has just one speed - slow. However the food was good. The problem is that we will have a limited time for lunch and I can't risk a slow service. It is a shame. I would have like to try other items.

Elle C.

Yelp
I stopped by for dinner one day and although it was a little busy the service was still good and attentive which I appreciated. The food and cocktails were also very good. This place has great potential! I will be back

David C.

Yelp
Barely edible chicken sandwich today. Billed as a "spicy" sangwich, it was actually quite sweet. Texture of the chicken was a mess. I question the quality of this restaurant...it was decent in years past.

Art F.

Yelp
I ate lunch here today. I had the spinach florentine soup, the corn bread w/honey butter, and the chicken sandwich. Chef Jevondah put her food in that soup and the other dishes she prepared. I've eaten here two times not and I will definitely return for more of this delicious food!

Andrea I.

Yelp
Venue is beautiful. You feel like you're in a giant greenhouse. The food however was just ok and honestly tasted a little strange. I had an incredible burger and the cornbread. The cornbread was perfect but the burger had the strangest taste ever and I've had incredible burgers before. I don't know if it was the sauce or the vegetables but something just tasted old. Also there's a pretty bad fly problem. We were swatting little gnats away the whole time and eventually there were so many that they kept landing and we got pretty grossed out and stopped eating. Also my waitress didn't smile even once.

Seller P.

Yelp
Phillip is an excellent waiter who exceeds expectations. He gives service with a smile. I would give five stars for Phillip. His day counterparts are totally opposite. They were missing in action to have a personal discussion as observed. PJ is the manager who collects his money with no concern for customers. He makes no effort to make the dining experience better. PJ acts like it is a privilege to dine at Parkwoods. He is clueless about customer satisfaction. The food is not great. The portion is small. The whole experience leaves you thinking why did I spend 62.00 for this plate. I have dined in Paris, Canary Wharf, Amsterdam, and Montego Bay with food that cost far less with a specular taste. The ambience is worth it, but the food is not. I forced myself to eat due to hunger. The Snapper was clearly cut into small pieces as they were budgeting the food. I filled myself with mash potatoes. Parkwoods does not live up to their reputation. There was nothing special here except the price. This is the second bad experience here. The first time the waiters were missing due to personal conversations that were being held between each other. You have to actively seek them out. However, it seems like friday lunch is not a great idea. The dinner isnt either. Im not sure when the timing is correct. The payment is always expected. The food can arrive cold or simply portioned for small bites that resembles appetizers.

Christina M.

Yelp
The ambience gets an A+ and the valet with the text message retrieval of your car. All valets need to do this. Food: C- and that's being generous. For dinner, I ordered the salmon (which came with black eye peas succotash) I substituted for the Mac and cheese. That's where I went wrong. The salmon was phenomenal. Perfect flake with an amazing glaze. The Mac and cheese gets an F!!! It tasted like buttered pasta with breadcrumbs on top. Quite a few people in my party had Mac and cheese and concurred it was the worst Mac and cheese we've ever had in our life!! I think the waiter may have honestly forgotten to put cheese in it. Unimpressed!

Maria H.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful experience especially with the staff. I wanted lemonade and even though it was not on the menu the bartender made it for me. My husband had a sundae but wanted a banana with it and again the waitress went out of her way and got him a banana for his Sundae. Of course the food was good.
