What a great experience! I went here tonight with my husband and friend and was immediately impressed with the decor. It was very upscale trendy that made you feel like you were in a nice, but not pretentious, place. The velvet booths are so comfortable and the music playing the in background is just loud enough to create ambiance without annoyance.
We ordered from the bar as the seating wasn't staffed, but our drinks were brought out to our table which was nice. Our waitress was efficient and friendly, which I always appreciate (too friendly and the service is slow; too efficient and the staff seems rude).
The drinks were awesome. I can honestly say that I did not mind paying $14 per drink here. I even ended up ordering the same drink twice because I loved it so much, which I never do because I always love to try new things. The smoked peach old fashioned is amazing y'all. Definitely order that if you like whiskey! It looks watered down but it's not. It has a great bold flavor that is extremely smooth. It's not at all too sweet like I thought it might be. I also tried the vieux carre my husband ordered and it was the same, amazingly flavorful and smooth at the same time. I ended up trying the sazerac (same as the others but sweet in a good way) and the Doolittle, which was my least favorite because it was like drinking air after the others but it could have been the order I tried them in.
I can't even begin to tell you how amazing their pretzels are. We ordered two rounds because the first ones were so good! We also ordered the fries and they came out with a green cilantro sauce that was so flavorful I ended up dipping the pretzel in that instead of the cheese it came with. Our bartender told us they just added them to the menu and we told her to beg them to keep them on. Get these! You won't be disappointed unless you hate good things.
In summary: go here! Order a whiskey drink and the pretzels then enjoy and let me know what you thought.
Heads up: the valet is $20, not free! Park in a garage or Uber here.
