Downtown Montreal’s Parma Café Opens 1 Out of 2 New Locations | Eater Montreal

"I've watched Parma Café, which first opened on Bishop Street a little over two years ago from a team headed by Eric Petraglia, expand with a new downtown location on de la Gauchetière near Beaver Hall and plans for another spot in Little Italy beside the Jean-Talon Market. The café keeps the same vibe and mostly daytime operation as the original—soft greens and browns, some tiling, a classic speckled floor, and a mix of banquettes and bar seating that feels classy yet casual. On the menu you'll find Roman al taglio pizzas (margherita, sausage and rapini), North American–Italian paninis such as a cheesy steak with peppers and onion and a sausage–eggplant option, sides like arancini and meatballs, breakfast items like a frittata and a cheese–tomato–egg–capicollo sandwich, plus Italian-style espresso and sweets including cannoli, amaretti cookies, and gelato. The downtown spot at 505 de la Gauchetière W is open weekdays 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m.–5 p.m.; a terrasse and take-out coffee window are planned for spring, and the Jean-Talon location is expected around March with a terrasse facing the market." - Tim Forster
