Yelp
I'm giving Partake a 5, because I just popped in for a downtown Long Beach event and didn't really 'partake' of any of their vendors, other than purchasing a beer. So, 1) they sell various drink refreshments: canned beer, sake, water, wine, etc. 2) there's other items on sale such as beautiful chocolates (great gift idea if you think they're too beautiful to eat yourself) and some kitchen/dining items such as a beautiful charcuterie board and oven mitts. One enters from Elm Street and there is a 'host/concierge' desk to assist. Off to the left is a moderately sized 'dining' area with several long tables to accommodate groups of 4-6 as well as high tops and smaller tables to accommodate groups of 2.
Most folks know the food vendors that operate in the 'ghost' kitchen i.e. visitors don't see a kitchen or food cooking area as in a fast food court but rather food 'appears' once it is made. One can order there at the kiosks located by the host station.
As I understand it, most of the chefs are up on the 2nd floor. There are also food lockers should you arrive after your order has been prepared. There is also a large kitchen space on the first floor (believe this is where the cooking classes are held).
It's a great addition to this neighborhood.
