PARTICOLARE di Siena

We had the best Anniversary dinner ever. The owner and his son went above and beyond. Made us feel like if we’re at his home having dinner with the family. Delicious food and outstanding service. Great experience touring the ancient wine cellar. We had some amazing wine. We will come back and recommend everyone visiting Siena to dine here.

This is the second time that I've eaten here in the space of one year. While my first impression was excellent (see original review below), this time it was still very good but not as amazing. Most parts were very good with a couple of just OKs. Desserts were really delicious. Service was a bit disorganised, maybe because it was after the Palio and they were very busy. Still very good but not quite the live affair I experienced first time around. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Excellent meal, highly recommended. Even the plates we liked less were still great. The bao filled with roast eel and mayonnaise was spectacular, as was the chocolate rod filled with mascarpone cream and accompanied by a salty crumble. The accompanying wine was equally excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would love to repeat

I visited this restaurant in 2021 and was an amazing experience, the food was better than in most Michelin restaurants, the plates decoration was incredible, today I returned and was a completely different experience. The hostess was also the waitress, very nice girl but with cero experience, the restaurant does not have a sommelier and most of the wine on the menu they don’t have it. There is no decoration in the plates, the indirect music was nice but some times interrupted by a radio station, the food does not have the flavor that you expect in a restaurant of this category, the decoration of the place continue to be nice. They seat the people in a salon that is hot even they had a more cold part of the restaurant empty. After noticing the difference I asked the waitress and happened the Chef they use to have is not working there anymore. What a shame because this use to be a great restaurant. We arrive at 8 pm and leave at 11 and they served only 2 tables during the whole night it looks like the place has been in decadence for some time already. I do not recommend this place. There are better options in the area.

Service was exceptional. 10% service charge felt too low. Really great service. I tried the surprise taster menu. All was great but the pasta dish was so disappointing that it lost a star. I uploaded a photo so maybe the head chef can consider tweaking or removing this dish. It lacked taste, it was a really boring dish.

It’s a gem in beautiful Siena. They have menus that are nicely put together with a sommelier that can offer a wide range of Italian wines and excellent choices from Toscana. The dishes are super tasty and well presented. We went for the chef menu and loved every dish. Some have a Japanese / Asian touch to them. Don’t miss this place if you are in Siena .

Great food in your plate. The terrace is wonderful. We even saw a dear long the city wall. Unfortunately, the service is really ... “particolare”... the boss is really strange and made me feel uncomfortable. Despite a good evening for my wife anniversary, the experience when I faced the boss was to awkward. I’ll probably not come back...

Amazing evening! The tasting menu, the service, the beautiful rooms - all outstanding. Great attention to detail and a culinary delight. If in Siena this is a do not miss. It is located a little outside the main city walls, but is an easy 5 minute walk from the duomo. Use the escalators, walk 30 meters and you are there. Highly recommend

It was a very bad experience. The restaurant was completely empty and the service was awful. We were only for 7 minutes inside the restaurant and one of my friends who is pregnant, was feeling terrible. We had to leave and they still made us pay the copperto which was completely unfair. The chef was hostile and very rude with us. Never coming back….

Fantastic place. Reserved a table for 32 friends and family for our rehearsal dinner (the evening before our wedding), and Particolare di Siena went above and beyond to please! We organized a tasting menu with them and it was a super hit for all of our family and friends. The set menu included pea soup with squid, salmon rolls, a pasta, and a beautifully presented sampling of ALL of their desserts. This meal was paired with wines, prosecco, and coffee. Absolutely magnificent! Furthermore the service was top notch. The owners greeted us at the door with smiles and shook our hands to welcome us. The servers, and the head waiter/manager conducted a perfectly elegant service to our meal. The chef came to meet us and shake our hands after the meal. It was overall beyond perfection! The restaurant is fairly new so it's not so hard to get a table, however I highly recommend making reservations. It has 5/5 stars on TripAdvisor, 5/5 on Google, and 4.8/5 stars on Facebook. They opened in March so they haven't been open for long. Definitely recommend this place for an intimate meal or for a large party. As a large party they reserved the cellar for us which was cavernous, romantic and intimate. Wonderful communication via email from the staff. Loved Particolare!
