"With thirteen locations throughout South Florida, Party Cake’s pastelitos are never too far away. The carne, guava, and coconut pastries are fan favorites, along with the cangrejito, which is sometimes mistaken as a crab pastry because of its name but is actually made with chorizo here." - Stacy A. I picked up a cake that was filled with mold. I do not recommend anyone to come to this bakery! They represent public health endangerment!

Teresa Acanda

Google
Will never order Noche buena food here again. I ordered 2 weeks before. Pick up took 3,hours, the line did not move. Food wasn’t prepared, it was being made as you picked up. We went at 3 and got our pickup order at 6:25. Congri was awful no flavor, no salt. Everyone in line was so upset!!! Everywhere I ever ordered food was ready this was unheard of. Very bad service. Poor employees were left to handle the situation without a manager insight.

Julio Rodriguez

Google
It was crazy the 24th…herd people were on line for over 3 hours…I heard and saw when I got there at 6 people arguing with the staff…LISTEN MORONS!!! Is not the staff fault that the person that approved for the girls to take all these orders is either a greedy person or has no idea about running the show…my paleta was like for a diet one and so was the moros…either one had no taste whatsoever…when I open the yuca that was not for ten people…same with the rice trade, 3/4 full…you ripped me off Party Cake…never again…SHAME ON YOU!!!

Mauricio Corona

Google
Want to waste your holiday and ruin it come here. Placed an order 3 weeks before Christmas Eve, we arrive and have to wait 4 hours for you food to still not be ready. The workers are upset giving the customers attitude. Last time I come here nothing of family owned rather visit a franchise bakery.

Google
Ok, I really wanted to like this place, it’s super close to my house and it looks so beautiful and festive, but omg ! The food is so awful , I ordered pan con tortilla and it was old stale and tasted like onions even tho I asked for a plain pan con tortilla , I think since they use the same toaster to toast the sandwiches they all end up tasting like the previous sandwich . Also, the tray of mixed pastelitos taste just like onion and spices almost like they’ve kept it in a place that has different foods all together. It was gross!! I honestly was taken back because that was not at all the expectation. I’m sticking to my usual bakery’s from now on, this is just a chain with no true Cuban bakery taste. Service was meh!

Ian Larsen

Google
Beautiful. Tasty. Great service and very patient staff. Very good for authentic Cuban desserts. I use my Cuban wife as an authority for that claim. Non Cuban treats are here as well, but everything is delicious.

Google
This place is hit or miss but mainly miss with service and freshness of food. Pastries can be fresh or old it’s a role of the dice same with service.

Google
Best Cakes in town! Tasty and real cakes to enjoy with family and friends. Forget about the fancy Fondan, order a cake you'll be really delighted with! I always order here for all my events and always receive compliments for my coconut stuffed cakes! They have raised the prices, but it's still worthy.

Yelp
Party Cake pastry chef out did themselves on my granddaughter's birthday cake - thank you so much. Its beautiful. PS we went to 3 different Publix non of them wanted to do it

Rosy F.

Yelp
Love this new spot! Very spacious and good selection of pastries. Would be great if they would eventually sell food like their 137/152 st location.

Yelp
No tomatoes how can you have a Sedanos next door and run out of tomatoes for a sandwich ...

David C.

Yelp
M And this place is nice and simple Cuban bakery with other Latin American pastries. They have a good Cuban bread service is quick and to the point. Not much pleasantries but nice. They have cakes and hot foods awesome

Angelica B.

Yelp
Bakery and Hot Cuban food. You can sit and eat or take out. Rice pudding is delicious. Definitely a must try.

Julio R.

Yelp
Always gone there for that Cuban Aunt and Grandma taste...they let go the cook and the picadillo and any other dish are sooooo salty and when is not salty it doesn't taste like anything...also the potajes or any beans are extremely watery and sometimes so salty that one can't eat them ...I ended up disposing food 3/4 times since the cook they had left like 5 months ago...the actual food they sell ( not the pastries) is intolerable...I gave them another chance yesterday and bought some black beans only...came home and it was pure water...nothing concentrated at all....I don't recommend this place to but your food...horrible food...YUK!

Alex M.

Yelp
Always the best bakery in town, awesome pastries and the preparaditos are excellent. Recommend cleaning up of the tables but otherwise a strong 5star rating. When will the new location open, it looks like for the last 2 years , 13475 sw 128 st, hopefully this year!?!

Yelp

Yelp
0 out of 10 I do not recommend. I recently went to this location after tasting a breakfast that one of my coworkers had. For days I craved for their breakfast Cuban toast, ham egg and cheese. Anyway when I entered I was not greeted by any of the employees everyone acted as if they didn't see me maybe because of my skin tone. After about 7 minutes I was acknowledged. I ordered the same breakfast that my coworker previously had. Once I got to work I fixed my breakfast only bite into eggshells scrambled into my food. I spit the first bite out and tried it again same thing. The 3rd and 4th bite the same thing. I eventually just threw the food away. And the cafe con leche was horrible as well. It was probably intentionally done. Thank goodness I didn't tip. I'll will never spend my money where I am not wanted. NEVER AGAIN! Party Cake is trash ass!!!

Diana B.

Yelp
This has always been my favorite and go to bakery. Since the pandemic the service is not the same. Workers are beyond rude. Whenever you give a negative comment about the food they response is always "it is what it is" and if you don't like it that is just too bad. Today I went to buy 3 soups at 1:40pm. When the lady was serving I asked her nicely to make sure she added chicken and her response was that there was no chicken left. Mind you the chicken soup pail was full. Guess the cook didn't add chicken today. I paid $11.45 for 3 soups. When I got home it was pure broth and barely any noodles, carrots or potatoes. What she should have said was she was only serving broth. Unbelievable! Party Cake employees have become scammers with the food.

Yelp
This is my local bakery, closest one compared to a drive to Pinecrest bakery. I've had the opportunity to come to this bakery numerous times before work, after work, before and after church. This place is great. It's disappointing to see the amount of negative reviews based on their service. I've easily been here over a dozen times and can't say I've had any issues with their service. Located in a shopping plaza between a Sédanos and a dry cleaners, it can be challenging to find parking when there's a lot of volume in the plaza. That I will say is the challenge of the location. They recently moved a center island in the sitting area to accommodate more seats and make the place feel spacious, great idea. Now for the food ? Best pastries I've had.. period.. 8/10 times I'm lucky enough to have them come out freshly made, and there's nothing like the sweet warmth flavor of a guava and cheese pastry, soft, flaky and delicious. Meat pastries are always my good to and those have never disappointed me. They also have a great assortment of food, and whenever there is oxtail, it's game over, I'm taking it to go with some rice, mariquitas, and red colored beans ( if available).. There is something that I always hear, and although very subtle, there is usually always Christian music playing and I LOVE that.. especially at 7am when my day is starting.. a fresh pastry, Cuban coffee and some great music to start the day. Favorite bakery ? Definitely,.

Yelp
Been going to this bakery on and off since 2004. Service is okay, but the pastelitos and croquetas are awful recently. They are either burnt or too quickly made and undercooked (soft). The croquetas are not even warm. Asked to heat them up and instead of putting them in a convection oven (really cheap for a business), they put in microwave. WOW. If your clientele is going down this is the reason., start with the food first then figure out the service. Food is critical.

Yelp
This Party Cake Bakery location sells food, by the pound, by the tray, etc. This location cooks it and it is taken to the other locations sell it on their stores. This was pre-virus time... The food looked very well made, lots of people eating inside this location. We bought some Arroz Imperial, it has lots of chicken, cheese and flavor. Their Arroz Imperial is the best I have tried. They also have pastries, but did not get to try them. Seems like a lot of people come in, leave, eat in.... lots of movement. Probably after virus... things gotta change.... Check it out, maybe for a party... would be a great choice. Just come in check out their food and you will see and be able to try. It's totally worth the $$$

Adriano C.

Yelp
They never have anything, the workers say that items have been out of stock for a long time. I just wanted a shake

Luis C.

Yelp
I grudgingly went here because Sedanos didn't open till 8 and I was in a mood for Cuban breakfast delights. Service was quick, fine, but no thank you, no smiles, nothing. There are, however, many many tip jars. The pastelitos were good, yes. A bit soggy but good. However, the "medium" coffee (looks more like a small) was light even though I said Oscuro. Whatever. Next time I'll hold my Cuban delights hunger till 8 am

Lillie C.

Yelp
Every time I go and visit my son in Boston or my daughter in Colorado,I have to bring a suitcase full of pastelitos, croquetas and order between 10 and 20 Cuban Sandwiches from this place(they dont like it from anywhere else) . They are really good and they also help me with this huge order...they always had everything on time. Parking on that shopping center is a BIG challenge. Great place!

Kristin M.

Yelp
I absolutely love Cuban bakeries! The smell of fresh pastelitos, Cuban bread and coffee is the best! If you are in the neighborhood and are craving some Cuban finger foods and sandwiches then pay a visit to Kendall Bakery. The pastelitos, Cuban bread, tequenos, freshly squeezed OJ (when the machine works), cafe con leche are all delicious. It's not the best Cuban bakery, but it has everything you are looking for. Caution: The people who visit this location are super uneducated and do not know how to make a line to pay. If you approach them about it, they won't care and will try to fight you about how they were in the line first although they clearly didn't. The queue to pay is terrible - especially on busy weekend mornings. They sell food by the pound here which looks like cafeteria food, but if you are into that sorta thing, you should check this place out.

Sasha M.

Yelp
The service is horrible! I walked in it wasn't busy no one greeted me and I waited for someone to acknowledge me so I can place my order but turns out they had ran out. The lady helping me could not care less about taking my order or helping me. She did not go to the extent to offer me something they had available. All she said was what you see, this is what we have. The place itself looks not well kept. I will continue to go to the one in cutler bay WAY better service and cleaner.

Odalys R.

Yelp
Food is good and so is the staff in general , however the supervisor at the Miller and 99th location is awful. No customer service whatsoever. She declined to allow the employee to serve my husband who was already waiting inside the store for over 10 min. because they were near closing time. The employee insisted in serving her but she did not allow her. Very negative experience (second time this happens). We ended up going elsewhere.

Lillian R.

Yelp
I personally love this bakery. The pastelitos n Cuban bread are always tasty n fresh on weekend mornings!!! I usually go about once a month for a special treat of a pastelito box for the fam. They are not the best but they pretty good. I've never been treated rudely. The place is usually very busy so they take your order quickly n hand u the food. I'm not looking for someone to smile n ask me how I'm doing.... I just want to order n get out quickly. I've only once had a problem with my order and I brought it back and they tried to make it right. No place is perfect. They follow covid19 guidelines with mask requirements n social distance guides. Like all eateries, I'm sure they are trying their best during this different time. :)

Mark G.

Yelp
Won't be back. Terrible service. Yes, the food is good but good lord, they don't even look at you when they serve and take your money. Doesn't look the cleanest. There are plenty of other bakeries in the area. Won't be back here.

Selene S.

Yelp
Stopped in to order a box of pastelitos 6 ham croquettes ( they gave me chicken) 3 beef pastelitos (got ham), 2 cheese, 2 guava, 2 guava and cheese and 1 beef empanada. All the above were cold and after returning to complain my order was cold and wrong the 2 ladies at the register proceeded to argue with me. I've never seen un pastelito de carne look like processed devils ham. Bottom line the service sucks, the attitude sucks, and I'm really not tolerant to condescending mannerism. Too many Bakeries in Miami to have to deal with one that makes your visit such a waste of time.

Luis C.

Yelp
Pastelitos and everything they have is really good. You will not be disappointed with food quality. They are always full and have a very good system to get people in and out quickly. The only reason I give them 3 stars is because of some of the personnel they have are not necessarily the nicest. They don't have good customer service over all.

Francisco M.

Yelp
Typical Cuban bakery but not as good. To begin with their credit card machine wasn't "working." So, we had to go to Sedano's next door to use their ATM, guess what? Sedano's wasn't working either! With the little bit of cash my wife, father-in-law and I had, we were at least able to order something close to what you would call a breakfast. I used to work retail and when our CC machine went on the fritz, we did EVERYTHING possible to 1) correct the issue and 2) tell customers their options for purchasing and WORK WITH THEM to make sure their purchase goes as smoothly as possible. In the time that we were there, I didn't notice, not even once, any of the workers on the phone calling their bank or cc card service provider with regards to their issue. I never once felt that they wanted to make sure that we, as paying customers, were treated with courtesy and due attention because their machines were down. Unfortunately, this is a staple of MOST Cuban/Hispanic cafeteria/bakeries in South Florida. There is usually no organization when it comes to taking orders and a very ho-hum attitude for the customer - nearly all of these cafeterias basically make you feel as if their doing you a favor by taking your order and this spot was no different. My wife ordered toast with extra butter since these places are NOTORIOUS for skimping of the butter. Instead of extra butter, she essentially recieved a plate of butter with a side of bread. When my wife took it back to the counter, the girl looked at her as if saying, "Isn't this what you ordered, what?" Stop it! Only now do I truly wish I was drafing a review on yelp while eating so I could've snapped a pic of bread drenched in butter...totally inedible. As for their food, it was very mundane. The pastelitos I had were alright but their ham croquettes were "runny," something a fried food should not be. As a last send off, we got some pastelitos for the rest of the crew back at the house. My wife ordered a guayaba and queso pastelito, don't you know, THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY??? WTF, it's only 9:00 am in the morning on a Sunday and you don't have every Hispanics favorite pastery? WOW. I shan't be going there again, I'll take my chances at McDonald's across the way were at least I know that they take credit cards and they won't run out of McMuffins.

Natalie H.

Yelp
My favorite bakery! Has amazing services and super nice workers. Love going here in the morning to get some cuban bread and cafe con leche

Marian W.

Yelp
Was hoping for a nice experience but the place looked dirty and the staff was rude. I turned around and left. Do not recommend this place.

Maidelin P.

Yelp
Very disappointed with his location to say the least! My husband and I have been here serval times to have some early morning cafe con Leche and some pastellitos. We love to food however the service is HORRENDOUS!!!! They're are 7 women behind the counter moving slower then turtles and just having conversations between them instead of attending to the customers. When I walked in, the place was empty and I was waiting for someone to place my order ; however, they waited till the place was full to start taking orders. Since I was there before anyone had walked in but didn't take a number the lady in the front kept skipping me and making rude remarks. After 15 minutes of patiently waiting I just left. I would rather go to a bakery that's out of my way then here. That's how much the service sucks!

Lourdes P.

Yelp
I used to love going to this place till today 03/10/2020 around 2:00 pm. Some Cuban dyed blond young woman wasn't mean, but rude. I understand the senior citizen was first then me, but it doesn't give her the right to continuously ignore me. I barely am ever patient with people like this, but since she didn't give me a bitchy attitude I didn't bother to initiate further. I just wish she could've asked a coworker to help her while she was helping the senior citizen. One of the coworkers came up to her and asked her for a cup of ice. She went ahead and provided that for her and left me hanging. That's when I said enough is enough. I deliberately requested to immediately be attended by whichever worker asks me. I wasn't going to stand there like a dummy. Screw that! I had enough to be polite. Once I got to the cashier, I assume the rude employee must've put my order there, but no, it wasn't even prepared. I told the cashier the situation. She immediately asked that rude employee to dispatch my order accordingly. Grabbed my items and didn't bother to thank her. Hopefully, she got the message and try harder to multitask and put customers first than her colleagues. This place isn't a bad place, it's the lack of customer service that some of these employees fail to provide accordingly. Which is why I'm giving it 2 's.

Gabriela R.

Yelp
Love Party Cake Bakery! Their pastelitos are some of the best in South Florida. They are always fresh and delicious. Everyone who I've bought them for has always enjoyed them.

Cecilia R.

Yelp
Love the food but TERRIBLE customer service. Horrible. I just walked out they took 10 minutes to even welcome me just stared and when I asked who do I order with they said with the lady calling numbers and when I asked who they told me "the lady". I will return because of the food but horrible attitudes.

Marcia C.

Yelp
Kendall Bakery is my favorite in Miami. I love their pastelitos (carne) and the guava jelly pastries. I have been coming here for years, usually my first stop when I visit south Miami.

Cindy A.

Yelp
Do not be fooled by the low prices of food. Yes, the food/catering prices are affordable and decent tasting, however everything else is below average. Customer service is terrible. Their employees make mistakes yet they make you pay for their errors and blame it on you. If you want your order to be correct you need to hold their hand as they take the order and as they actually cook your food or bake your cake. Pastries are not good. Taste old. They charged me additional for changing the color of my cake yet when I picked up the cake they made it plain white. After 15 min of arguing with 2 different people about how they thought my cake was blue when it was clearly white they offered to give me more of their bad pastries to make up for their error. I had asked for a refund of the $15 extra I paid which seemed reasonable to me but apparently too much for them to do. I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you are extremely tight on money and don't mind being aggravated with the service.

Marta R.

Yelp
Their food is always fresh and tasty. They make the best sweet plantains! The service is fast and the staff is very nice.

Crystal M.

Yelp
I came here a few times for cafe con leche , tostada and a Guava . This is what I treat myself to some Saturday's and I like my cafe con leche light with extra sugar and it never comes out right . My coffee usually taste like warm milk no coffee . Sooo disappointing because the party cake bakery ( same franchise ) by Ferguson High makes the best cafe con leche I've ever had . So I stopped coming here , it's not worth it and the parking sucks .

Kim W.

Yelp
My go to place for Cuban pastries, bread and soup. They have a full cantina style food line that you can purchase as a meal or by the pound. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The cakes are a little $$$ but worth it.

MoMo M.

Yelp
Solid pastelitos but their coffee is hit or miss. Sometimes they'll steam the milk and prep the cortaditos or they'll just add warm milk to left over coffee. There needs to be a more consistent approach.

Giselle P.

Yelp
Noisy, crowded and in serious need of an update. Food is okay but not worth the hassle.

Lynnelle T.

Yelp
I really like this place. The pastelitos are good, the croquetas are good, the pan de bono is good. The bakery side gets busy during breakfast hours, but it's worth waiting.

Giselle M.

Yelp
If I could give this place negative stars I would. They have the worst customer service ever! We were promised our order for by 4 pm and didn't receive it until almost two hours later. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told she was too busy to speak to me. Why guarantee an order by a specific time, if you're not going to deliver?! Absolutely the worst place ever. Don't EVER order from this place.

Lala M.

Yelp
Mixed feelings. The 3 leches is awesome! The party pastellios not so good . The bocaditos were very salty. The food has changed, for me personally. However, they are nice enough to help you out is you need a last minute party food order though. Very nice employees. Please bring back the old recipe for the pastellios and the food.

Julio M.

Yelp
The prices are super cheap! We had the guava pastries and a cafe con leche. I don't think anyone spoke English so I did lots of head bobbing and threw out cash :) it was $3.25. Worth it!!!

Alejandra M.

Yelp
I really love this bakery. Lately the last three times they have been slacking. The ladies are very lazy and when customers that they know come in they give them preference. I have also witnessed a few of the waitresses feed their families a lot of food and when they went up to pay at the register it came out to a lot less than mine did when they ordered a lot more than I did. Their customer service might suck, but their pastelitos are good. Their cakes I would not recommend though. I guess this is just my taste of course, but do go and try it for yourself!

Kristy S.

Yelp
good food for cheap price, well at least breakfast, that's what i have here surprisingly very sweet ladies, AND great amount of food is served! love this place

Mpc M.

Yelp
I LOVE their cakes!!!!!! Sometimes they are a little slow but in general good Cuban pastries and friendly staff. I will continue visiting for sure.

Karla M.

Yelp
Today at Party Cake there happens to be an elementary student behind the counter. The little girl was being a nuisance to the employees & customers eating there. Luckily, I was only there to pick up food. As I approached the counter she was rude to the older lady who helped me, telling her where she was able to place the containers of food, "AQUÍ!aqui!" as she hit the counter with her hands. Another younger employee when to checkout another customer and she did the same. I understand some people need take their children to work. The little girl was very rude. It seems to be the boss daughter since the employees were not able to call her out on the behavior.

Allen L.

Yelp
My family has been coming to this location for nearly 20 years. The prices are great and so is the food. It can get very busy on the weekends. I like how they have trays of pastelitos ready so if you just wanted an assortment you can grab it and pay instead of getting a number. The sandwiches here are better than what I've found in the area. The only issue I have with this place is the parking. The parking lot gets full and hectic and the nearby Sedanos means a lot of people will be walking by with carts which slows the parking lot down.

Janet C.

Yelp
I like their desserts . But overall they have good pastries.

Felicidad P.

Yelp
The best pastelitos in Miami are at Party Cake Bakery. I've been to several of them, but this one features moderately priced food by the pound, and it is very, very good. Why cook when I can just stop by and buy food that is just as good as home made?

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Don't go here if you don't speak perfect Spanish. They will just ignore you and roll their eyes. Also, parking sucks. I will never go back here.
