We always get our kids birthday cupcakes here and the Party Favors team has done amazing variations over the years. A Solar system. The very hungry caterpillar and their wonderful animal designs. This is an amazing family run business and we are lucky to have them in Brookline!

We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding cake made by Party Favors Bakery, and it was truly exceptional! From the initial consultation to the final product, their team was friendly, attentive, and incredibly talented. The cake tasting was amazing – we got to choose three different cake combinations and take the leftovers home, which was so much fun! The cake was absolutely stunning and tasted fantastic. Each layer looked gorgeous and matched our wedding theme perfectly. The flavors were out of this world – every bite was super moist and delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great it was! What made the experience even more special was how Party Favors accommodated our guests with allergies by creating a gluten-free, dairy-free cake. It was the first wedding cake some of our guests ever got to eat, and they were thrilled. This thoughtful touch meant so much to us and our guests. Having our wedding cake from Party Favors was a dream come true. It’s always been my favorite bakery, and I get a cake from there for every birthday. To have them make our wedding cake was incredibly special and made our big day even more memorable. I want to share my experience with anyone planning to order a customized cake from this store, so you know what to expect. I ordered a customized cake last week, paying $132.95 (including a $10 tip). When I received the cake, it wasn’t what I expected. I called the store, and they confirmed it was exactly what I ordered. While the cake had the elements I requested – the sunset, the girl, and the cat – the quality of the elements were totally off (Or not even close to it). They had even confirmed via email that I wanted the same color as the reference photo, but the color was clearly different. The store claimed the difference was just in the "style". Before calling the store, my friend who picked up the cake was surprised and asked for the reference photo, and even my brother thought it looked off. That’s when I decided to call. After speaking with the manager and the person who made the cake, they confirmed that the cake looks like what I ordered. So, I couldn't do anything about it. I told the manager I’d still leave a 5-star review but would mention this in my online review so future customers could set their expectations. When I was looking for cake stores, I relied on Google reviews, which looked great, but this type of review would have helped me know what to expect. My girlfriend’s birthday is tomorrow, but I decided not to surprise her because I knew she wouldn’t be happy with the cake – and she wasn’t. We talked about it, and I realized I couldn’t lie to myself about how disappointed I was, so I’m giving the store a 2-star review. I’m disappointed with the cake. The point of this post is to help others know what to expect. I’m not saying the style is bad, but it might not meet everyone’s expectations. Please use this as a resource.

I brought in a Hello Kitty foil ballon to be inflated for my daughter’s birthday. I was told that the charge was for $14.95. This is a good example of price gouging.

I just logged in to write this review and realized for the first time that the tagline for Party Favors is A Family Tradition. This is 100% true! We have ordered cakes for special occasions since I was a kid and they are just the BEST. I can’t even name all the occasions. Their cakes are beautifully decorated: creative, festive and elegant. They are moist and delicious cakes with perfect buttercream for frosting fanatics, and they taste amazing. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful and the whole experience is always a pleasure. For the best special occasion cakes, it’s a total no-brainer. I almost never put reviews online (maybe 2 or 3 ever), but I have to give a plug to Party Favors. They are just the best.

Amazing isn't even enough!!..beautiful job done on my daughters birthday cake!...the cake was not only beautiful but super moist!!. The top layer was raspberry cream, middle layer no fruit filling, bottom layer was the lemon Blueberry, non of the layers with the fruit was soggy, just perfection!..the cake was also very stable so didn't tip over in the car ride to the party!

20 years ago I used to live very close to Party Favors and remember getting delicious cakes and cupcakes for every special occasion. The cake was dense and moist, the buttercream unparalleled. The decorations were amazing - poinsettias and snowmen and leaves. Why am I using the past tense? Well, I had such fond memories of this place that I recently requested some local family join me on an excursion to Party Favors while in town for the weekend. It was almost like a pilgrimage. I was disappointed. Bought 4 cupcakes and 2 cookies. The cake was dry. The cookies were stale. The buttercream not as robust. Change is inevitable but I was hoping that it wouldn’t happen here. No need for me to come back. But, please, by all means, you enjoy.
