"Let your nose guide you to this unassuming bakery, located on Prince Street. An ageless staple of the neighborhood since 1907, Parziale’s does not catch the tourist buzz of other well-known pastry shops in the area, but locals know the treats here are no joke. The air inside the bakery is thick with the tempting scents of biscotti, cannoli, sfogliatelle, and pizza, crafted with generational finesse." - Tommy Ranucci

Friendly staff, great prices. I always stop in to get a slice. I would say it’s a sleeper in the North End for how good the pizza is.

Google
Best small Italian bakery in the North End! Ofc in my own opinion. Tried Bova, Mike’s, Modern, always somewhat disappointed as usual they lack freshness and overly sweet, always long lines on the weekend too. But not Parziale’s! Just bought another box of cookies for about the 5th time from them, can say the quality has been consistent, but even better during the weekend. Their cookie’s not overly sweet, very fresh and they have an actual bakery towards the end, so the aroma in the air when you walk in is fantastic! They have a simple pricing model, believe it’s $18/lb for cookies, do any mix&match. There’s a 4% credit card fee regardless how much you spend, so have cash on hand’s better.

Google
Cute and homely bakery in the Italian part of Boston, just on the tip of North End. You will probably navigate to another bakery closeby, but this one is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Timings don’t show accurately on Google Maps since the lady at the counter doesn’t have access to update the timings, so if you’re in the area - just go and check it out. They are open overnight, bake their own bread, have madeleines, cookies, rugelach, shortbread, and some pastries and pizza too. Prices are very reasonable too. Must try their whole wheat baguette, it’s so fresh.

I stepped into the welcoming embrace of Parziale’s & Son’s on a warm Celtic’s parade day. Both Nonnas were there to serve the hungry crowd— and the cannolis and pizza could not have been better. They truly do exceptional business for a great price. And all with the Italian, Roman Catholic love that is so dear to their hearts.

Google
Pizza was very fresh but a little messy to eat. Excellent service, tasty bakery!

Google
Best cookies, whenever I visit family I have to bring them Parziale’s. The rugelach ones with raspberry or apricot filling are great. I also love their sausage, onion, and pepper pizza! Get it by the slice.

Google
Quaint little bakery, an easy walk from North Station. I went there on a Thursday around 7pm, and I didn’t have to wait in line to ask for what I wanted. I am no cannoli expert by any means, but I thought their cannoli was great! I especially enjoyed the crunchy shell (probably baked fresh). If you have no patience for waiting and still want to get a decent dessert after meal, i would recommend checking out this place.

Google
Walked by on a Sunday night around 7 and they were open! Great little cannoli (fresh filled) and super friendly. Very cute butter cookies as well!

Yelp
Most slept on place in town. Given the notoriety of Bova's next door and Mike's and Modern a block over, it makes sense, but still crazy how Parziale's seems to get a fraction of their business. Everyone here is down to earth, loving, and talkative - amazing hospitality! These are the best cannoli in town. Fresh and hand-filled, you can't beat it. Honorable mention to Walnut Sandies, pistachio and almond macaroons, and their turnovers. They have amazing, themed ice cookies around each holiday, which are my favorite cookies around. Their bread is baked just hours before opening every morning, with healthy and few ingredients. Try the 8 grain on Fridays or Saturdays, and the Scala everyday. We love Parziale's!

Yelp
Stopped in last week for St. Joseph Zeppole's and was not disappointed, they had two (2) choices of filling: ricotta or custard (in my family yellow cream). Chose the custard, and bought two (2) was provided courtesy forks and napkins. It was beautiful see photo attached -- decorated with whipped cream flourish on the top and a cherry. Possibly the prettiest zeppoles I've ever seen and they were delicious. Will be returning to try their black/white/half moon cookies and other treats I saw in the case.

Yelp
Small unassuming local bakery with a rich history which packs a whallop for locals and tourists alike. They have a variety of cookies, breads and pizza. There are cold pastries and desserts as well. We got some fig and rasp rolls (amazing) chocolate chip shortbread, pistachio chocolate chip, and some fig squares. Loved them all and wished we had got more. Also should have gotten some bread (next time). Long standing Boston history with a true authentic feel and not a tourist trap. Cash only.

Yelp
I originally wanted to go to Bova's next door, but the line was insane, so I visited Parziale's instead and didn't have any regrets. There wasn't any line at all, but there was definitely a much smaller selection. If you're just looking for a cookie or small treat to go, this is a solid spot. However, if you want specialty cakes or other fancier treats, you might want to endure the line elsewhere. There isn't really anywhere to sit, but it's fun to take your treat with you while exploring the North End. Don't expect much in the way of ambiance. Also, be prepared to either pay cash or spend enough to pay with card. With all the delicious treats here, that shouldn't be a problem! I'd come back next time I was looking for something quick and sweet.

Yelp
HOLY CANNOLI - What an absolute treat! We came across Parziale's Bakery, a small cozy bakery in North End Boston. They had lots of sweet treats and fresh loaves, but the cannoli was calling your girls name. Truly, one of the best cannolis I have had and I have had plenty in Italy, so definitely working with an extensive line up! My husband snagged the oreo cake cup, also tasty and light, but the cannoli really stole the show for me. Filled to order with classic filling and chocolate chips. We hit up one of the MUST go spots in the area as well and though tasty, didn't come close to Parziale's. Parziale, thank you for the delightful and five-star cannoli!

Erica G.

Yelp
For the love of all that is sacred... get their canolies!!!! Vibes were awesome, and everyone was very helpful. Highly recommended and loved every bite.

John S.

Yelp
Shhhhhhh. Don't tell anyone but this is the hidden gem of the north end! Let everyone else wait in lines everywhere else, this is our little secret lol. Just had one of the best margarita slices ever. Very excited about the Friday night open late with different toppings. Pizza is unreal! Simply delicious!

Kay H.

Yelp
The fresh stuffed cannoli are FIYAH! Very well done! We stopped on our way for a snack to eat at North Church!

Tyler C.

Yelp
Wow! Great cookies and breads! Pizza was amazing. So good I went back the next day, but it was closed on a Saturday. Not as beautifully presented as some of its neighbors but the taste and quality was equal to all others.

Mike C.

Yelp
This place is hands down the best bakery style pizza in the Boston area. This little shop is amazing. The bread is great. The cookies are good. But the pizza, oh the pizza, it is to die for. I

Kevin G.

Yelp
Best canolli EVER! I asked which other exotic Italian delicacy I should also try, answer: "Whopie pie"! (Not Italian, but American delicacy). You can't go wrong here. Free smells alone are worth it.

Monica L.

Yelp
great cannoli! big in size and the filling is really creamy and shell is crunchy and not stale it's also a dollar cheaper than all the other cannolis in north end for not any less quality cute little family owned bakery with a bunch of Italian shortbread-like cookies too in the displays and service is very quick and people are nice cash only

Aries S.

Yelp
My favorite FAVORITE bakery. So nice. So welcoming. I LOVE the pizza. Reminds of Philly - the best. The bread is soooo good and all the goodies - to many to choose from. There are other bakeries - yes - BUT THIS IS the place... our favorite. I love their cookies too. So truly authentic Italian. A must go to.

Serena M.

Yelp
Chocolate chip cannoli was delish! Cream was so good and the shell was not too sweet. 10/10 recommend

Leslie B.

Yelp
I raved about this place to anyone who would listen! After trying 3 different cannoli places during my Boston weekend, I now consider myself a cannoli connoisseur. *ahem* it is my expert opinion, that these cannolis are the best in town. Ok, not an expert but definitely did love these the most. The cannolis are filled fresh upon ordering. Then they are topped with chocolate chips (if you wish) and ready to eat. It had the right texture, flavor, and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Wish I had taken one more for road. I am not sure the price, but we got 3 pieces of sweet bread for $7 which seemed very reasonable. Keep in mind they are cash only. 12/10 #leslieapproved

Yelp
This bakery is special place. They sell my favorite pizza in Boston. Absolutely delicious!

O F.

Yelp
This was the best cannoli I've ever had. It was like a whole other category. The filling was so fresh and creamy, and the shell had a balanced bite. I also loved the pizza slice, and managed to save it until I got home to eat it. All the elements were present and flavorful--cheese, crust, sauce. Lovely gentle chat with the woman behind the counter. If I lived closer, I would be here regularly. Thank you!

Ashley M.

Yelp
Best cannoli in the north end. I have been to mikes and modern pastry the cannolis here are so much better!! If you're in the north end definitely stop here for dessert.

Gary G.

Yelp
Small shop that doesn't seem to get the love or notoriety others get. They don't have seating but they have some interesting breads and pastries, plus a Sicilian slice ($2.20 per) that I thought was superior to the more heralded one at Galleria Umberto. Just enough char, tasty crust, and deep/complex tomatoey flavor that doesn't take a backseat to the cheese.

Marian L.

Yelp
We ordered many cheesecakes and a lemon turnover and disappointment. This is an Italian bakery and everything was dry not one thing was buttery or even smooth.

Della S.

Yelp
Not as huge of a selection as other bakeries in the North End, but Parziale's is still worth a visit. Their cannolis are filled to order, which is great if you like a crispy shell that hasn't gotten soggy from sitting with the ricotta filling in a display case for who knows how long. I tried a lemon fruit square ($2.50). The lemon flavor was strong and the crust was super flaky! The square as a whole wasn't too sweet. Some of the reviews here rave about their pizza, but I really couldn't bring myself to try a slice. The pizza was sitting on the countertop under a sad-looking heat lamp... it felt like a recipe for food poisoning so I had to pass. For the taste and value alone of the lemon square, this place deserves 5 stars. Don't come here expecting incredible customer service, but their prices can't be beat. Just remember to bring cash!

Shuang Z.

Yelp
A cash only bakery right next to the 24hr Bova bakery. I decided to give it a try because the high yelp rating. But it didn't live up to the expectations: 1. Limited varieties: There are not as many choices for sweets as it is at Bova. Only cookies, cannoli, or some lemon squares etc. 2. Price is not much cheaper than other bakeries in North End: $15/lb cookie. Which gave you like $5 for 9-10 cookies. Cookies taste good but not too much different than other bakeries. 3. Pizza is good price. $1.9 per square. More like Sicilian style pizza. Taste good. But again, no topping choices. It's premade sitting behind the counter. 4. Service: people at this bakery is def not as talkative nor friendly as people from Bova. Maybe it's a cultural thing. But I'd rather go to places where ppl are friendly and smiley.

J R.

Yelp
I live in the area. Every time I've gone in, I've been completely ignored. A glance, and then they turn their back on me. So I leave. Never been able to purchase anything, but probably no big loss, as the pizza in the window has burnt cheese.

Bailee P.

Yelp
I couldn't avoid it. I had been looking at the pumpkin loaf in the window of this subtle bakery on Price street everyday. I walked by and manager to avoid it for less than 48 hours. The woman working was fantastic. She convinced me the bread wasn't too bad for you. They use real pumpkin and more brown sugar and cinnamon than real sugar. I walked home with my bread under my arm and tore open the bag as I walked through the door. I placed it in the kitchen for a quick photo shoot before I got my first taste. Fireworks. This bread is mind blowing. Fabulous. Divine. Dynamic. All of the cinnamon and pumpkin flavors come through as layers. It's so moist and dense. Very filling but also great for breakfast or a little post dinner treat.

Nanci K.

Yelp
I know there are a number of bakeries in Boston's North End, but I wasn't looking to visit one that is "the place to go" but rather just an honest bakery maybe off the beaten path. That being said, I was more than happy to find Parziale's while out and about today. Walking in, I was immediately transported back to the time of being a little girl and going to the local Italian bakery with my grandparents. With this in mind, I ordered a couple cookies as well as trying a "new to me but have always wanted to try it" sfogliatella. After paying cash for everything (they only accept cash), I walked for a bit before pulling one of the cookies out. Yes, it did it's job- I was the five year old enjoying a delicious Italian cookie made with love! I tried the sfogliatella a bit later, and it was equally as good. They also had turnovers that looked amazing as well as a wide variety of other pastries, breads plus pizza too. I am glad to have found this little gem of a bakery!

Lisa Fe M.

Yelp
Great traditional cozy Italian bakery with tasty cookies, great bread, and service with a smile!

J D.

Yelp
Went back years later and I still stand by this being the best cannoli in Boston. Better than Modern Pastry and better than Mike's. You're absolutely missing out if you don't try them! Cash only!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
My GF and I came here after a recent weekend trip to beantown because its reputation precedes itself. It's tucked away around the corner of the street we were walking on from regular Boston. Annoying thing is that it's cash only but I feel like that's somewhat standard for North End places. There is an ATM about a block away down the street. Regina's is down the block perpendicular to the ATM but trust me, don't let yourself get pulled in that direction (well, you can, but just make sure you try Parziale's pizza too). We came back and ordered two of their square slices to go. The cookies were rudely staring at us from inside the display case. Literally, no fucking manners. We ordered a sprinkles and I ordered whatever flavor the radioactively green one was. The lady behind the counter was kinda rude. There is also literally no seating so either have a place to live or a friend's place to live if you want to eat your pizza at a table. We had to sketchily lurk around until we finally found a place with some cement structures that resembled benches outside of a church. Thank god it wasn't raining. I opened the box and laid eyes on the beautiful, greasy, tomatoy glory that is a Parziale's pizza slice. A ray of sun shined through the clouds and down onto the slice in my eager hands. I took the first bite. The crunch of the crisp crust reverberated through my skull moments before the flavor of the sauce caressed my taste buds. Absolute ecstasy. As I've said 50K times, I'm from NY, so I've had a slice or two in my life. This was one of the absolute best slices of pizza I have ever consumed. Undoubtedly better than sex. Heaven is dying and waking up inside a pool of Parziale's pizza slices. The cookies were good too, your typical sprinkle cookie texture, not too sweet but sweet enough. The green cookie's flavor wasn't overwhelmingly artificial. Parziale's could honestly be located in a sewer with donald trump (ShAdE) working at the counter and I would still give this shit 5 stars.

William W.

Yelp
We purchased some bread and cookies their and they were OK but we also purchased 4 fig squares that were not edible. I called the bakery numerous times but they will not call me back . I can not recommend this bakery

karen k.

Yelp
Great cookies, especially liked the fig filled ones. Cash only and sold by the pound. 8 small cookies were $7. They were crisp and fresh. Would serve these again.

Macy A.

Yelp
FIVE STARS! BEST BAKERY IN THE NORTH END! Me and my family are touring the city and we had reservations down there. It was recomm to us by someone we met and on the way we thought we would try all the cannolis in the area. We went to Mikes Bova and Modern and out of all of those parziales bakery had the best one. The ricotta was perfect: fluffy light and flavorful and the shell had the perfect crunch. 11/10 highly recommend. Im going to be craving those cannolis for the rest of my life.

Tammy D.

Yelp
Best pastry in the north end Raspberry tart is the best loaded with raspberry filling

Carlotta C.

Yelp
I feel like this is a lesser-known bakery in Boston's North End, but more people need to know how good their pizza is. It is Sicilian style, thick and tomatoey, with the perfect amount of cheese. I always stop by for a slice after shopping at Haymarket. NB they are often out of pizza Saturday afternoon and Sunday

Greg W.

Yelp
While my wife is Italian, I am not (blonde hair/blue eyes). However, I've spent a lot of time around Italian food and markets when we lived in Pittsburgh and it is easily my favorite cuisine hands down. We make all of our Italian dishes from scratch, including the pasta we use which has given rise to extremely high expectations. That said, Parziale transported me back to Florence. The street their bakery is on (Prince) felt like one of the back alleys in Italy where a bunch of people where just hanging out and enjoying their recently found treasures in the form of carbs and sweets. It was such a refreshing experience to go in and have the ladies manning the shop walk us through what they are best known for while serving us up some of the original US Sicilian pizza squares they serve daily. The cheese is browned (which is the way we prefer) and the crust is crispy on the outside and pillowy inside. The tomato sauce is not overly complicated or doctored, it's just well balanced and executed in a simplistic style that I've grown to appreciate. Two slices were just the right amount of food for a big lunch prior to taking a bike tour of the city. After the walkthrough of their other offerings and sweets, my wife and I settled on the cannoli with traditional ricotta filling and chocolate chips. It may have been one of the best desserts I've ever had including those we indulged in during our trip to Italy. The sweetness cut the fat and small amount of grease from the cheese on the pizza and was a perfect finish to our takeout lunch. That's not necessarily the best part, however... we go 3 squares of pizza and a cannoli for $8.50!!! The value they offer is unbelievable, but you must have cash in order to partake in such delicious adventures. Should you prefer some of the less sweet baked good they have everything you would expect from an Italian bakery. Pumpkin loaf, pizzelles, Italian wedding cookies, and fantastic loaves of crusty bread. I don't believe you can really go wrong with anything you order here. Parziale's may not be overly flashy or intricate, but that has never been what the Italian people or cuisine meant for it to be. It was meant to be approachable, comforting, and well-executed which is what this bakery represents in a town where prices continue to rise and chefs/restaurants chase the next big trend in order to charge a premium to their customers. For that, they have earned my business as the go-to bakery in the North End.

Big S.

Yelp
Fantastic. Chocolate dipped macaroons were delicious. Cheesecake was excellent; particularly if you prefer a less dense texture.

Steven P.

Yelp
Hidden gem of the north end. While everyone is waiting in line for bovas or mikes, im heading to parziales. This is true Italian baking straight from Nonnas kitchen.

Deborah R.

Yelp
Woo, this place exceeded my expectations and then some! Over the time we visited Boston we tried several bakeries, but this one is THE ONE we HAVE to repeat on our next visit. Didn't try the savory items such as pizza on the last visit, but if they are as amazing as the sweets then we won't have to eat anywhere else.

Maggie S.

Yelp
This place doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I prefer Parziale's over the touristy ones.

Goku U.

Yelp
This bakery is around the corner from Bova's. They have the normal italian cookies so we sampled a couple of different ones and they were pretty good. You can definitely taste the butter and sugar in them. They also sell pizza, drinks, and freshly baked breads. but didn't try any of those. Like most bakeries in North End...CASH ONLY!

Laura H.

Yelp
This place holds a special place in my heart. Their bakery pizza (and it is bakery pizza, not Sicilian; there is a difference folks) is amazing, brings me back to the bakery my Dad would take me to as a kid on Sunday mornings in my home town, so much that is almost makes me teary-eyed. To be honest, I have only had the pizza and bread, both are great, the place next door to them cannot compare in the pizza department. Only thing that I do not like, is that it is cash only, but if I know I am heading to the North End, I make sure I have enough cash to get more slices than I need lol, I suggest buying extra and freezing some for snacks.

Joe C.

Yelp
I like this tiny Italian bakery for several reasons: It's old school Italian. It was established in Boston's North End in 1907. It looks like something I might find back in New Haven. Nothing here is modern. Nothing is new. It's got character. They only specialize in three types of baked goods; breads, pizza, and cookies. When I visited I saw lots of Italian cookies. They don't offer traditional Italian pastries but they do offer some cannolis... and I must say mine was one of the best cannolis I've ever had. It wasn't overly sweet. Parziale's is off the beaten path and not as popular as Bova Bakery which sits next door. But like I said, my cannoli was very very good. My Parvzaile's cannoli was just as good as my Bova's cannoli. I've got to imagine the Italian cookies are just as good. If the customer line is too long at Bova next door then I recommend you give this tiny bakery a try. Next time I visit, I will get the cookies.

Eddy S.

Yelp
Awesome place, rivels Mike's, better price taste better, but only choice is classic. Italian cookies are off the hook too!

Lauren T.

Yelp
DAT PIZZA. The sauce, the bread, the light cheese... everything is perfect. This place is cash only (expected in North End) and worth every penny with a slice under $2. You can order by the slice or call in advance to get more, which I highly recommend. I mean really, why are you eating pizza anywhere else in Boston? Get over here ASAP.

P E.

Yelp
THE BEST THUMBPRINT COOKIES I'VE EVER EATEN!!! Everything we tried was amazing- obviously freshly made with the best ingredients plus that special something that comes with family recipes. We actually brought cookies home as a Christmas gift for friends! Highly recommend this little gem!

Stephen Z.

Yelp
AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO! DELICIOUS AUTHENTIC SQUARE SICILIAN BAKERY PIZZA (PLAIN, PEPPERONI & OTHER VARIETIES). THIS PLACE IS AN INSTITUTION IN THE NORTH END BOSTON FOR OVER 100 YEARS. Parziale's Bakery got its start when grandpa Joe and grandma Anna arrived in Boston from Napoli in 1907. Their family has been dishing up delicious foods ever since. They were the first to introduce Pizza to New England. This jewel in the heart of the North End has been keeping their ovens burning ever since. They have breads, cookies & many other desserts & tasty treats. I'll be honest the only thing I've ever got here is their Pizza & it's DELICIOUSSSS! CASH ONLY! They put a booth in front of their bakery for the St. Anthony's Feast. THIS IS A TRADITION IN BOSTON. Before you hit the feast people go down Prince St. & you've got to get your slice of Parziale's. Then continue on down Prince St. & you'll hit the Feast & you can eat some more. LOL! It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Greg S.

Yelp
Great bakery in the north end! Try the pizza - it is bakery pizza that can be eaten at room temperature or even refrigerated over night and heated up the next day. Call ahead to order a half tray (12 slices) or full tray (24 slices) or try your luck if they have any left. Cookies are also fantastic.

Rémi M.

Yelp
97 reviews 4.5/5?! Wth, did it change between when people posted them and a few days ago? I went with my girlfriend early in the morning (6:30am) hoping for fresh and warm pastries. We instead got a rude welcoming, yesterday's food, and not so much choices. Parziale's: If you are selling old pastries, at least say it to the customer so they know what they are paying for. You just lost 2 customers and earned a bad review. Was it worth $6?

annie n.

Yelp
The BEST cannoli. They don't pre-fill which I think makes a huge difference. It's a charming small bakery and the woman who served me was very kind.

Sharon C.

Yelp
Went here today for my Easter Sweet Bread, very Covid compliant! Reasonable cost and very friendly service!

Ava M.

Yelp
Definitely the best bakery in the North End. Family friendly atmosphere, great pizza and even better bread. Go here and skip the waiting and long lines, for even better food.
