Great venue! We've been for a cirque performance, a comedy show and America's Got Talent. It's a classic venue with great acoustics. I've only sat on the bottom level, so I can't comment on the top level. The bathrooms are clean and plentiful. They usually sell concessions in the middle level. Love the history and beauty of the venue!

Google
It’s an amazing venue with plenty of options to host meetings. The location is great and there are plenty of options for restaurants and hotels available near by… highly recommended if you are looking for a convenient venue to host an event in Pasadena or in LA’s area. This convention center is a great option!

Google
Best seats for AGT live audiences SEASON 20! stay tuned for me throughout the season on screen and my live reactions from the tapings. Wish I would’ve gotten the chance to chat with some of the AGT judges or behind the scenes team.

They have some neat conventions. Monsterpalooza while I visited.

Google
We came here for the Halloween 45 Years of Terror Convention. Very cool place and very big. The space is very clean and they have plenty of clean bathrooms. Multiple entrances into the convention center. There are parking decks all around the center. The panel room was very nice and hosted the afterhours party. I believe they always host this event and I hope they do it again at H50.

Google
Amazing Experience if you love new and old games. Live Auctions and skateboarding. A cool place to come if you want to experience nostalgia. It's also a cool place to be around cool and like minded people.

Google
The convention center is a really nice place to have an event. My son and I were there for the Morphicon Convention to see a fan based convention of Power Rangers and Ultraman. There is plenty of room to see your favorite actors and shop for memorable items. The atmosphere was great and very intimate to feel like it is more special and personal. The staff was amazing, food was great, and the facilities were very clean. There is plenty of parking and the rates are reasonable. The area it is located in is very safe and easy to find on a map. It is accessible and there are great dining ventures on the outskirts of the convention center.

Google
We were here to attend Alien Con 2023! Perfect venue for the event. Main auditorium with lots of separate rooms for presentations. Big exhibition area where the Vendors were. Safe and secure area. There is parking nearby at reasonable rates. There is mall area across the convention center.

Yelp
A reliable bike rack is located right at the end of the walkway leading to Exhibition Halls A & B. Marengo Avenue Market inside Exhibition Hall B serves a yummy teriyaki bowl Restrooms are outside the exhibition halls. I had to get my hand stamped everyday time I wanted to re-enter. I loved the lighting in the entranceway too. Would gladly attend another event here as long as I'm NOT the only fluent signer

Yelp
Have been on an AGT (Americas Got Talent) kick and filming season 19 currently. The venue is quite nice, located conveniently across from a mini outdoor mall that has an antique store, food, and coffee! The venue is quite small, yet big at the same time. The seats were super comfy, and the seat location was optimal for seeing the entire stage. The bathroom stalls were clean and well stocked. We were the first audience of the day, and things were running quite behind. The doors were heavy for entrance, the carpet was well cleaned, and the staff was all busy but nice. First time visiting the auditorium, and they do not allow food or drinks (aside from bottled water) There were a few events (3 in total) that day, and parking was simply $15 flat which is cheaper than a baseball game parking, by half! The parking structure is a bit weird, but most of the parking is underground.

Yelp
Last Sunday I attended Monsterlapaloosa 2024. It was Awesome. Autographs and selfie pics were very expensive for some celebs.Others let you take a freebie(Doug Bradley) very cool guy.lots of costumed people walking around outside and inside. Many booths with all kinds of interesting items for sale.

Yelp
I was here for multiple occasions either a Horror Con or Power Rangers Morphicon or something smaller like Pasadena Comic Con itself, the price has gone up since then, much smoother to get here compared to LA convention center, easier to find parking, staffs were nicer here depending on the events, they got more celebrity guests to come all the time because it's easy to get away from LA traffic, looking forward to get more stuffs signed and pictures taken in the future.

Yelp
We went here one day for a live taping of Americas Got Talent! It's very spacious and they have plenty of parking relatively close for a reasonable price. There are two levels of seating inside and the stage is decently sized. They didn't allow us to bring in food or drink so eat beforehand. I found the restrooms to be pretty clean as well.

Yelp
Move over, clunky and too-big LA Convention Center, with nowhere to eat or park. The smaller (but still huge) Pasadena Convention Center is ready to serve. Located in friendly Old Town Pasadena, here are some Convention Center highlights: 1. Easy parking! Located across the street on Green is the Paseo Colorado mall and parking lot (enter on Green, 90 minutes free with validation, $12 max). Further east on Green is one of Pasadena's cheapie city lots (enter on Green, two hours $2, $12 maximum). 2. Easy shop and grub. The adjacent (literally across the street) Paseo Colorado mall has a dozen eateries, from the low budget (Rubios) to the fancier (Great Maple). A zillion other places to eat on and off Green Street. 3. Overnight? The sleepy Pasadena Sheraton adjoins the Convention Center, complete with friendly pool, small bar and restaurant. Check out the funky first-floor rooms with stairs in the room! There is also a new Hyatt Place one block east on Green. I help administer the California Bar Exam, which fills the Convention Center twice a year. Convention staff do a great job keeping the facility clean and are very responsive. Also, CatCon is here! My cat gives four paws.

Yelp
The Pasadena convention center is located near nice hotels and restaurants in the area making it a good conference location. The actual facility though has one major fault. Some of the conference rooms are located in the basement of the concrete building resulting in no cell service from pretty much every provider. On top of that, the Wi-Fi costs $11 for 4 hrs or $17 for all day and it's only 3 mbps up/down (that's slow). With no cell service, I had to pay it since I needed to stay connected for work, as did most of the other attendees. One positive, the food provided for breakfast was very good, especially the tator tots.

Yelp
I rate the Pasadena Convention Center a solid five stars. It is very well organized, located in a safe, low-key area, tons of affordable parking and restaurants nearby, friendly staff and I am happy with the fact that they host AlienCon. We will be back.

Yelp
I went to the Pasadena Convention Center for the first time this past weekend. I attended Season's Screamings. I had a good experience. The convention center is nice and was easy to navigate. I parked at the Del Mar station's underground parking garage for my visit.

Yelp
Here for Yoga Expo and think it's a great venue. The issue is the speed of checking people in. I wish that moved faster and that's on the event organizer. They only had 2 people scanning people in on their phones. The digital signage outside the ballroom/meeting rooms are helpful. Space seems clean. They don't really have chairs or benches outside the meeting spaces for you to rest. There should be better communication between the staff and the meeting organizer. I heard a staff person say they were told events are first come first served but when I mentioned people need a reservation ticket for this specific event they said that's the first they heard of it. No issues with staff but meeting organizer should have told them earlier that ticket reservations are needed so there are no surprises. The staff should get a rundown of all the events in each room.

Yelp
Great venue overall, definitely no frills and downright plain & Simplistic. Acoustics were well received and definitely gets some brownie points just from that alone. The inconsistent pounding from a dated furnace yields a lost star; pretty annoying from time to time - you never knew when it was gonna hit! Temperature was spot on perfect with nice flow of air. Seats and view-ability to the speaker was awesome! Starbucks is in same conference center, which is certainly a plus! Overall really great experience coming here for your next conference or workshop that you need to attend!

Yelp
Pros: 1. Good for smaller conventions 2. Conveniently next to Paseo Colorado (shopping) and several restaurants 3. The parking structure has free charging for electric vehicles Cons: 1. Limited parking and signs to find it are not that clear/visible

Yelp
Visited for Anime Con and *mostly* it seemed well-laid out and organized. Place was clean and spacious. Downsides were the parking situation which was a million cars funneled through like 1 staff member. I think it took us an hour just to get from the street into the lot. Just completely unreasonable. Unable to unload near the elevators even though I'd been told we would have that option. Difficult to carry all our vendor stuff by hand up stairs and around buildings. :( At the time we visited, covid vaccinations were a requirement to entering but when I mine was checked, I noticed the staff member didn't really check the person in front of me. It was overall an okay experience, but there are definitely things that could have been better organized in a couple situations.

Yelp
Been here over the years for different reasons, several times, for training and a few times, due to sports competitions. On each event, parking was easy and convenient. Finding a place to eat was never an issue either. The parking is so close to any room or hall you need to be in.
google avatar

Brent O.

Yelp
Been here for Anime Pasadena and Morphicon. The venue is good. There's food within walking distance. My biggest gripe is finding parking. There will be "event parking" signs around, but when you follow them the lots are full. If you know where to park it's all good, but if not, you'll get caught.

Yelp
I was there for the "Awaken the spirits" function. I had a good time. Everything was cool. Not sure how to review this place but I'm giving 4 stars because i don't have complaints.

Yelp
Attended the Pasadena Half Marathon Race Expo as well as the California Science Teachers Association Conference at the Pasadena Convention Center. 3 stars!!! The Pasadena Convention Center was added on to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium about 10 years ago, but it still looks brand spanking new! Kudos to the staff who keep making it look like it was just built a couple of years ago. There are 3 huge ballrooms for exhibit space as well as a good number of good size meeting rooms. I've had plenty of time inside Ballrooms A and B for the race expo for the Pasadena Half Marathon, but it was nice to finally get to experience being inside a few of the meeting rooms when I attended the California Science Teachers Conference. Yes, it's an okay place to attend a conference or convention, but there's definitely room for improvement. For a lot of the workshops for the science teachers conference, most meeting rooms ran out of seats, and a good number of attendees ended up standing up in the back or sitting on the floor. Definitely more seats could have fit in the meeting rooms if only smaller sized tables were used instead of giant tables which took up too much space. Also, I had so much trouble logging in to the free wifi. My phone could not even find the wifi depending on where you are in the convention center. Didn't mind at all using my own data, but unfortunately TMobile service did not really work on the first floor area of the conference center. Concessions are available inside the ballrooms where one can buy snacks and drinks, but there's also a Starbucks northwest corner of the convention center at Marengo and Green Street. There's also so many food places to choose from by simply walking across the street to Paseo Mall or walking 10 minutes or less to Old Town Pasadena. Park at the Paseo Mall and get your parking validated at one of the restaurants to get a little price break on the all day parking price. The all day parking price for a Friday was $9, but it was only $6 with restaurant validation.

Yelp
Once a year sometime in late September or early October, Mutual Trading Company sponsors a Japanese Food & Restaurant Expo where different food & Sakè (sah keh) vendors are invited to show, demonstrate their restaurant related products as well as giving out different samples of food & Sake for the restaurant trade. This event is not open to the general public, but only open to restaurant owners & their associated employees. Chefs' knives, food products to enhance & stream line restaurant food production, freezers, refrigerator units that chill Sashimi & Sushi display cases, fish venders giving out samples of Maguro & Hamachi, there is a plethora of products catering to the Japanese restaurant trade. For many years, this trade show was on the grounds of Mutual Trading Company's warehouse & office on Crocker in downtown Los Angeles. However, in the last seven years, the Japanese Food & Restaurant Expo has been at the Pasadena Convention Center on Green Street. Large, adequate space so that there is no place where it gets too overly crowded. I was impressed with the number & quality of Sakè vendors bring with them samples of Sakè, Plum Wine, Sparkling Sakè (The new darling of novelty in the Sakè world). Representatives were from Dassai, Kubota, Born to name a few of the premier Sake producers as well as other extremely competent but less well known Sakè brewers. These representatives know their Sakè, so they are capable of answering technical and culinary related topics relative to the restaurant perspective. This is a must for the owners of Japanese Restaurants & their employees since it allows them to keep au currant on different aspects of Japanese food technology & restaurant associated products & equipment. Save the date: September 28, 2019

Yelp
Came here for a convention. It's big it does have a balcony. At the balcony it's like an opera scene which is cool. The ceiling art is pretty. There's also an ice rink next to it. Also the Sheraton is probably the closest hotel. We parked across the street for the convention and Friday it was $6 and Saturday & Sunday it was $9 unless you validate your ticket it will be $6.

Yelp
This is the cutest little convention center I've ever visited! We were here for the 2019 SoCal Retro Gaming Convention, and when we arrived on Day 1 (Saturday), the line to get in wrapped around the corner, clear down the block. They managed the flow of people well, though, ensuring that the line moved at a decent clip and that the lobby wasn't too overrun with lost attendees. The convention took over a good number of the smaller ballrooms, as well as two exhibit halls. The halls were split into exhibit and vendor space and had a spot sectioned off for gaming. The other hall had the arcade, which was crowded and overrun with gaming enthusiasts (free arcade games will do that), but it never got to feel Comic Con-crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful, and did a good job of corraling the attendees that wanted to stand in a 3-hour line for a limited-edition POP! The restrooms were clean (at least, the women's restrooms were; my husband had grody stories from the men's restrooms), and the Starbucks flowed right into the center, which was convenient. The one strange thing that still confuses me is that the only had one door available for entry and exit. It never got clogged, but I expected to have a few more options to get on and off the floor. I can't speak to parking, as our first day there, we walked over from the hotel, and the second day, we were lucky enough to find street parking (and parking is free on Sundays).

Yelp
Attended Cat Con in 2018 and more recently Brick Fest on Saturday, August 24, 2019. Restrooms could use a little overhaul. So could some of the attitudes of some of the workers. My husband suggested that they could be volunteers. It doesn't matter. He agreed. We're still married. ;) Concession stand was open for Brick Fest. It's nice to have it open, but honestly we had our sight on other places nearby... which there are plenty of eateries within walking distance of only a few blocks. I suggest that you park at Paseo Colorado shopping center just across the street. If you park at the Convention Center, it's $15 daily. At the Paseo Colorado, the "first 90 minutes are free with validation at participating stores. The daily max without validation is $9. Happy conventioning! :)
google avatar

Yelp
They have a good mix of large ballrooms and smaller meeting rooms, all with comfortable seating. The parking within the building is sooo expensive and kind of confusing but I didn't know where else to park. The facilities are all very clean and the location is great - there are plenty of places within walking distance to go for lunch or to grab a drink after your convention. It would be nice if they had a small cafe on-site to grab a quick lunch if you don't have time to go to the restaurants nearby or to buy coffee (the line at Starbucks is always crazy long).

Yelp
I've been here twice for makeup shows which were Phamexpo and IMATS I would say both experiences were great here. The staff is very helpful and if you have a question regarding the location of a booth they actually search a map and walk you to it which is very important for me because I am not a map reader and tend to get lost and confused very easily. There are bathrooms and an atm inside which is convenient and also concession stands. The food at the concession stands I will say are mediocre and for the most part meh....but what concession stand do you know that is considered gourmet? What bothers me about this place is the parking. You must scour for parking either on the street which is impossible or park either in the Sheraton hotel around the way or another public parking spot that will be designated as event parking which can run from 15 to 20$ depending on the parking structure. Overall, I like this convention center, it's always clean and exceeds my expectations of all my makeup shows. No wonder Phamexpo and IMATS keep coming back to this spot:)

Yelp
This is a good venue in general due to the location and proximity to outside food options for dining, snacking and places to visit when taking a break. I went to the VTN/D-CON a.k.a. Designer Con here for many years as it's been the host convention center for that event.

Yelp
Two times! That is the number of times that I have visited the Pasadena Convention Center. First time was to attend a trade show. Second time was to attend a business meeting. During each visit, the facilities looked terrific. Even the restrooms were squeaky clean. Staff that I came in contact with were helpful and polite. At the business meeting, lunch was provided. I was told that the food was catered by the Pasadena Convention Center. No idea if that was a true statement. I can tell you that the food at that luncheon buffet was very good!! Look forward to returning to the Pasadena Convention Center for future business meetings or trade shows.

Yelp
theres legit no where to park for cat con. took me an hour to find parking. cat con was way too crowded and the lines were nuts. wanted to see the adoptable cats but with 100 people in line it just wasnt happening

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Pasadena convention center.. came here to be an audience for AGT!!! This is a really good convention center, well organized, clean and professional. The parking was really easy to find literally across from the convention center. However the audience line for the GA was wrapped around the corner, but overall the wait time wasn't too bad.. can't really complaint when you get free tickets to be an audience at AGT right! We were there for about 4-5 hours because the producers kept lagging it.. and they were fixing the lights and all the little stuff that needed to be fix prior to letting people in.. Overall it's a great little venue, I wouldn't mind coming back here for another AGT recording! Pretty fun experience! But if you're ever in old town Pasadena, you should Explorer around because there's so much to see and so many options for food..

Yelp
Came here for SCALE 17x and enjoyed it. The venue was well organized and clean. I parked in the event parking that was part of the Sheraton hotel. It was $15 for the day. Other event goers parked nearby for $9 for the day so definitely drive around for parking if you have time or want to cheaper parking. There is a Starbucks that is connected to the convention center which is nice. It is on the corner of Marengo and Green street. There are also a bunch of water dispensers throughout the convention center for you to get water. There was also breakfast items and coffee provided. I'm not sure if the event provided it or the venue but they were decent. The event space was decided into ballrooms ( A, B C, DE, F),rooms (101, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 209, 211, 212) and the exhibit hall. The space was nice. Plenty of chairs to accommodate the event goers. There was WiFi and plenty of work stations around. I'd definitely come back here for a conference. It's nice and chill because it's in Pasadena. It's not too hectic coming and going from the area. Plus there are bunch of restaurants and hotels nearby.

Yelp
Events are unorganized and manager made it very stressful. I would not recommend to come here with such poor management and lack of professionalism.
google avatar

Yelp
They have improved this place since last time I was here! Clean modern facility for all sizes and types of events. Close to trendy restaurants and bars and Paseo Colorado. Plan your driving to get here and leave early to get parking, which can be a challenge. 28/100

Yelp
Came here for Cat Con 2018. We parked at a parking garage nearby, it was $15 all day and it was about a block away. The convention itself was pretty big and didn't feel really that crowded as it could of been. There was plenty of seating in the seminars and a roomy meet and greet area. There was food and drinks available inside the convention center on the exhibits floor. However, we opted to leave the convention center to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants. They have Rubio's, Islands, a Starbucks within walking distance. Overall, it was really enjoyable convention experience compared to if this was held in downtown LA. The traffic was much better as well. I wouldn't mind coming here for another convention.

Yelp
I took the California Bar Exam here many years ago, so I was glad to wipe away that stigma and attend the annual Arts and Crafts Fair. The place is like a warehouse, no real ambience, but the parking is fairly good and there are a ton of booths with great stuff. They even have expensive gold and silver jewelry. My favorites are the artsy clothing boutiques and I bought a couple of long embroidered jackets for $250 each. May seem like a lot but try buying such stuff from Neiman's.

Yelp
As a structure this place is beautiful. We attended our daughter's graduation ceremony here. There's paid parking structures surrounding the area. Lots of restaurants and shopping as well. My low rating comes in for their staff. STAFF PRO were everywhere. Sadly, none of them were informed of basic necessities. I asked several staff where elevator, bathroom and drinking fountain were, and no-one could give a correct answer. God forbid there be a fire or emergency, because I truly felt like they had no clue about the place! Shame on all of them for not familiarizing themselves with even the basic needs of the patrons. Second problem was it is NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY! From what I could gather while there, there was one small elevator. It's extremely slow. We waited several minutes and asked the staff if it was working and they said they didn't know. So as far as we knew, we could have waited there all day. Bathrooms required going up or down stairs. I was able to do those, but unsure how someone in a wheelchair would be able to get around. We finally did get on the elevator on another level but were unsure of which floor we needed to be on so we went to mezzanine, which sounded right. Exiting elevator was a random hallway with all the doors closed. It didn't look like we belonged there, but I opened a door and found ourselves at the top of the balcony seating. Either way we looked at it we either had to walk up or down stairs. VERY DISAPPOINTING as a disabled person! We ended up walking down slowly because who knew how long the elevator would take this time. And again, We had no idea what floor would be less of a problem and with no employee help, We just needed to find a seat before all that was filled as well. During the ceremony people were standing on the upper walkway blocking the people sitting on the third tier. Again no staff attempted to rectify this. I would hope other events would not be so chaotic. And that future event planners will read this review and educate their staff prior to the public walking through the front doors.

Yelp
I have been here many times for different conversations and activities on certain days they have an open air market across the street in the promenade of the mall i saw a few free movies there most recent i saw two tapings of Americas got Talent. Today i am here for something that is special to me Alien Con. It will be the first time i ever loaned a hand in this building

Yelp
I came here on Friday for my commencement ceremony from Phillips Graduate University. What a lovely venue! The central theater is a beautiful building, and there's something about seeing your school's name on banners draped over a beautiful building that makes graduation feel all the more real. The staff were excellent at maintaining order, and helping people in and around the building. My fellow graduates and I prepared in one of the upper floor rooms, that had its own stage. The bathroom facilities were clean and stocked. The interior architecture is stunning, and really lends a feeling of gravitas to whatever event is taking place. The acoustics were also excellent. I've been to the adjacent convention halls in the past, for Designer Con. The grounds are well maintained and quite stately. I arrived by Lyft, so I can't speak for the parking facilities. My parents said that it was easy to find and locate parking, though, for which I am grateful.

Yelp
Bricks LA 2018. Everything is awesome! Yes if your a fan of LEGO then this is a must see. The price is right too $5 for entrance to spend a couple of hours or all day with LEGO's. A lot to see here. Bricks has a lot of awesome displays of LEGO builds to see. It's amazing to see these "master builders" works of art. Takes you back to when you were building LEGO's in your room. There is cool pop culture builds everyone will recognize and also some from the builders own imagination. Why go to LEGO land when you can come here minus the rides and price of entry. There is also a build area for the kids and some adults. Lots of vendors selling LEGO's and custom ones too if your into that scene. Great family outing for a weekend.

Yelp
It was hard to find parking coz there was Amy award on the same day. I signed up for this event so I can look for jewelries, photos, etc The show had a lot of photographers, venues, dress designers but not many jewelry vendors. I was a little dispointed but I still saw some good stuff. I liked the mini fashion on the back. Wut impressed me the most is that Panda express nw has wedding catering. WOW!

Yelp
I have attended numerous conferences here and recently attended the Golden State Tattoo Convention. Staff is friendly and attentive. The common areas are well-kept and clean. Restrooms are stocked and you can tell they are often cleaned and well maintained. It's a central location will plenty of parking and is connected to the Sheraton hotel which is great for multi-day conferences. I look forward to events here.

Yelp
Pasadena convention center really need to do a better job of having more ticket windows at these big events because this was awful and the Monsterpalooza people said that it was because for the entire crowd of thousands of people they only had TWO windows running and they were for our weights and everyone was miserable!! This isn't their first rodeo with conventions and they need to do a much better job! Awful awful awful experience with four hour wait just to get ticket. People drove for hours to come and I'm miserable because of the line and the awful set up they have with getting tickets SO MANY PISSED OFF PEOPLE!! Including us!!! Didn't even get to see the show after taking the day off from work!! Complain to the event managers and they were completely uncaring and said that there was nothing they could do and that it's "this way every year!" It would've been so much better just to be able to get tickets online but they closed that down as well! You could've made it so much better by installing extra vending booths for people getting tickets or make it easier to get in but it was literally hundreds of people that were waiting out in the Sun for four hours just to get in for a seven hour event!! They really need to get their crap together!!!

Yelp
Re: Pasadena Comic-Con Very cute, quaint, intimate. Feels like a garage sale/yard sale. Lots of nostalgia and toys you can get your hands on without the shipping! Hehe. You can pretty much cover the whole floor within 1-2 hours. Everyone is friendly. I hope this con grows even bigger in the next few years. Feel free to check out my vid on it: https://youtu.be/p8wdejap_aw The ninja turtles were there, there's a couple of signings, and some cool jewelry, pops, and figures that you may have hard time getting nowadays. It's a one day event for now, with some panels and costume contests but you won't see much cosplay. It's a very low key con, and I enjoyed it.

Yelp
We went to the Mutual Trade Show (Japanese food and restaurant supply) at the Pasadena Convention Center last month, and it was awesome. In addition to the show being awesome, the venue was amazing. The parking was easy, and the venue was beautiful, clean, and organized. In addition, the bathrooms are well-appointed and more importantly clean. You can tell that the facilitators take pride in this convention center. If you ever have the opportunity to visit the center, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Attended AlienCon on Sunday. This was my first time at the convention center and it was a good experience. The staff was very friendly, helpful in finding venues, amenities, etc., but the organization for the event could have been better (maybe the event's issue, not the convention center). The rooms vary in size and worked well for this event, which hosted several thousand people. There was a Reptile show in the Exhibit Halls, so they were able to accommodate a good number of people. The structure is older and shows some wear, but there's a lot of great architecture, especially in the Civic Auditorium. Pasadena parking can be tough, but there's a Sheraton parking garage nearby or it's easy to use the Metro Gold Line to the Lake Station and then either walk (1.1 miles) or Uber/Lyft it to the venue.

Yelp
Was here for a biohacking conference. The lobby area was roomy enough to keep the sponsors / vendors happy and there was enough of them to spill into one of the general rooms. As for the event rooms -- from sound, to size, to temperature comfort everything worked well. The restrooms, however, seemed small for the size venue it is. No comment on parking since I walked to the place from a hotel.

Yelp
This past weekend, I immersed myself in the wondrous world of being a girl! MAKEUP!! Yay! I missed IMATS, but my one of my favorite brands promoted the PHAMExpo, and I jumped on the chance. Presale tickets online were $57 for each day, and a fair bit more at the door. Not only was the show completely amazeballs, but the venue is fabulous as well. It was fairly crowded, but parking was really easy. I was expecting this place to be a little more worn down, as it is an ooolllddd building, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was very spacious, even with all of the booths, shows and people walking around! The bathrooms were super clean, and well stocked, thank goodness! A concention full of women..the bathrooms gave to work! AC also worked, something I was worried about because you know, when you read "old" the first thing you think of is "Do they have AC?!" Especially since it was a convention, and there were soooo many people! But the Convention Center was amazing! The event coordinators and the employees of the center did an awesome job working together! When I think of a convention center, I was thinking along the lines of something similar to the one in LA. No, this is not a block long glass building, it's a bit more intimate, but still big enough to accommodate LARGE crowds.. And I promise you, this weekend...there was a LARGE crowd. But what would you expect with the likes of Too Faced, MELT, Lime Crime, Morphe, Jeffree Star, MUFE, Makeup Geek, ahh..all my favorites. The lines were very long, but the staff managed to do a great job with keeping them all organized, and moving as quickly as possible. The guest speakers area was also well worked, I thought, especially because people were getting there a bit late due to the long lines. Alas, I got to see all my faves thanks to the great planning and efficiency of the staff, the vendors and even all the other makeup addicts! Everyone worked together to help others out. The vendor booth layout was well thought out, plenty of space between each one so people were not piled in on top of each other, or forced to walk like a herd of sheep. If you ever get the chance to attend a convention, of any kind, at this location I encourage you to take it up! I had a great time this weekend and I will definitely attend more conventions at the Old Pasadena Convention Center!

Yelp
Very nice Convention center. Perfect for small to mid size conventions. Easy to get to but parking can be a little confusing for people not familiar with the area. I've been here for two conventions and I like how the Sheraton can double as an overflow just in case the Convention center runs out of Space. Scare LA used the Sheraton for more space. I love how just a block away is a place to find awesome food!

Yelp
This place is gorgeous! I had the pleasure of being an audience member on the White Hot Holiday Special hosted by Terrance Howard and Taraji P Henson. It was one of the best experiences I have had on my life! The center is beautiful, it has the since of an old fashioned theatre. This was my first event here but I am looking forward to being a part of so many more. There are also little shops as well as restaurants surrounding this center which makes the area around light up at night. It is a beautiful sight! Defiantly a gem in the great city of Pasadena.

Yelp
I've always wondered what an Alien Convention would be like... who attended, what were THEY like??? And after watching Ancient Alien for ages, I decided to take it out for a test drive and so here I am, my first AlienCon experience. The 5 Stars is for the fun energy and the nice people I've met. The conference itself is a bit hit and miss. The panels with the stars of Ancient Aliens were great but the other 3 I attended felt like it was packed with pointless meandering from the speaker(s) so that some of the topics like Earth energy lines which sounded really promising were disappointing and did not touch on the topic. Ah well. I've had fun & the people watching is great!

Yelp
I came here for the California Speech-Language Hearing Association convention. I had been told by colleagues that parking is tricky to find. I did not have a hard time finding parking because there were large traffic signs pointing towards the parking structure. Parking was $15 at the convention center. Getting into the structure was a nightmare because it moved so slowly even with the attendants. There is a Starbucks inside of the convention center which is very convenient however they close early on Saturdays. There are many restaurants across the street that are walking distance. There are also little shops to check out. Throughout the convention center there were water stations with lime and orange infused water - nice touch! I look forward to returning to this location someday.
