We recently visited from Orlando, and were delighted to find such a wonderful wine shop in Pasadena! Nicole was so helpful, offering great advice on beautiful wines. The selection Nicole offers is broad, offering something for everyone. Highly recommended, you should go here!

I went to a wine tasting with my family and it was absolutely phenomenal! Nicole was great, I loved her descriptions of each wine and she was very friendly. She really knew what she was talking about and made me so excited for each wine! Tons of charcuterie, enough for everyone to have seconds still with some leftovers. Amazing wine selections. I'm not usually a fan of Chardonnay, but even the chardonnays here were seriously amazing. 10/10

Wish the owner / wine manager blonde lady was more compassionate, understanding and patient. We ended up parking in a space for the wine shop customers, b/c we were going to go there after picking up our food next door. Unfortunately once we picked up our food and went back to the car to drop off the food, she was waiting outside our car to grill us for doing that, without letting us get a word in to say we were about to go in the wine store.. We’re big winos, my husband and I. We have had multiple wine memberships, we have done wine classes, go out of our way to wineries in other countries and even had a wine ceremony during our wedding. All of that to say, we were about to be customers of the wine shop. At the end of her grilling us, she says “do not ever come here again.” … Oof. I just think she could’ve had a better approach with us and asked if we were interested to come in and check out the wine shop or something. Then she would’ve heard us say “oh yeah we were about to come in!” Or something. A lesson in do not assume. Although I will give her this, she was partially mad b/c we had a tire in the parking space next to us, but those spaces are small and the car next to us didn’t leave enough space for our driver side to get out. Again, just another thing to consider - be compassionate, understanding and patient with your future customers (obviously you lost a couple customers with us..)

My absolute favorite wine shop ever! Nicole, the store owner, is so knowledgeable and helpful with assisting me in finding a bottle of wine. Her customer service is amazing! This shop offers wine from many independent, unique, and cool wineries from all over the globe. The shop offers wonderful wines without breaking the bank.

Nicole is one of the friendliness and most-knowledgable "wine people" I've ever met, so I was ecstatic when I learned that she was opening her own shop in Pasadena. When I visited the shop, I told Nicole the types of wine we usually like, as well as our typical price point, and she picked out a bunch of incredible (and fun) wines for us. We'll be enjoying our case of 12 bottles over the next few months, and will think of her every time we open a new one. We'll be back to stock up again sometime soon, I'm sure!

Best Wine Shop in Pasadena. Nicole can decipher what you want, even when you aren't sure how to describe it. Through her thoughtful questions and amazing listening, discovering new wine that you love becomes easy. She can also pair brilliantly if you need a bottle for a meal. 10/10!!!

Best wine shop around! Nicole always greets us with a smile and is very pleasant. She is very knowledgeable as a Sommelier and always points me in the right direction. So many wines to choose from and she always suggests wonderful wines. You can't beat the customer service and the inventory. The added bonus is Daphne, the Chief Fetching Officer. Sweetest pup around.

I was watching the Fire Aid benefit concert online and saw Nicole's story. Sadly, this small business owner lost her home in the Altadena Fire. Despite her loss, she made the decision to give back to the community and the local Pasadena Fire department. This place has been on my radar but after hearing this I made an effort to stop by her shop and support. The store carries about 700 different wines from established and smaller wineries. Currently, Nicole is only accepting online orders for pick up or 2-day shipping in California. 100% of all proceeds from purchases of the "Fire Relief Wines" are being donated to The California Fire Foundation. She's already raised $40,000, so all my wine loving Yelp peeps that are reading this hope online and show Nicole some love. *Small parking lot or street parking.

I adore this little shop and it feels serendipitous that I wandered in on a whim a few years ago because it quickly became and still is one of my favorite spots in Pasadena. Nicole is wonderful. She's kind, warm, immensely knowledgeable about wine, and has an uncanny ability to make a recommendation you will love--whether you're new to wine and want something sugary sweet or you're a wine connoisseur who wants something hearty to eat with a steak dinner. Her selection of wines is impressive and you can always trust her to find something that tastes amazing without breaking the bank. She also does her part to amplify underrepresented people in the wine industry and intentionally highlights female winemakers, POC winemakers, and wine from smaller family-owned vineyards in regions you wouldn't think to explore. Nicole also has a knack for memorizing everyone's name and remembering even the smallest details about them--it's just part of her charm. And I haven't even gotten to the fact that she went above and beyond to help the community of Altadena post Eaton Canyon fire, selflessly committing her time to donate funds to support local firefighters and pulling from her own inventory to donate wine to folks whose homes burned down in the fire. You can feel good knowing that by purchasing wine from Pasadena Wine Shop, you're supporting a small business owner who deserves the world.

As a natural wine fanatic, I love the selection at Pasadena Wine Shop. Nicole, the owner, is super helpful and really knows her stuff--she makes great recommendations every time. An extra bonus is being greeted by her adorable pup, Daphne, when you walk in. If you're into natural wines or just looking to try something new, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

5 stars on every level! I've picked up holiday samplers from this shop twice, and they've delivered on quality each time. The staff is always friendly, and they'll answer all of your questions! I also had the pleasure of doing a tasting night, and it was fantastic! A great gift experience for any wine lover you know. I took my wife and mother-in-law, and they both LOVED it. Newest 5 star experience...they allowed me to pick up an order after hours when I was in a pinch. Service is above and beyond!

So appreciate having a local, woman-owned wine shop in town. Stopped by last week to grab a bottle, not realizing the shop was closed on Mondays. Lucky for me, the owner was out front and generously brought out two bottles of red for us to choose from, and allowed us to still purchase. The wine was delicious, and appreciate how knowledgeable and thoughtful the service is!

I recently moved from Sonoma County where every corner liquor shop has a great collection of wines. I was disappointed with the supermarket selection so I yelped and found this store. I loved it! I bought eight bottles for the Holidays two days before Christmas. The store was packed with others doing the same. The owner was kind and knowledgeable. She checked back in with me to make sure I found the right wines for me. So far all the bottles I purchased were excellent and at a reasonable price. I will definitely return .

Small but well stocked wine shop. Nicole is the owner and is VERY knowledgeable about wines. I am totally clueless about wines, but I gave Nicole a little info about the couple I was buying wine for and she hit the mark. If you are like me and need help, Nicole really listens to pick up information so that she can make recommendations and then gives great information about the wines, their origin, and the wineries they come from. I stopped there yesterday, was warmly greeted by the owner that was super nice and super helpful. Very knowledgeable, helped me pick up exactly what I like and within the price range I set for each bottle. As a Pasadena resident, I love to support local businesses, we need to help each others much more than we're doing now and specifically during holidays. Cheers.

Love this place so much! I've gotten so many unique and interesting wines here. Last week, a gorgeous rose from Cyprus. Nicole is so knowledgeable and always takes the time to find me a great wine while sharing info about the winemaker/region. An awesome wine store and the best in the area in my opinion!

Pasadena Wine Shop is my new "regular" for wine! It's the Premier wine shop in Pasadena. I have shopped at all the others, some have vast inventories, and some very fine wines, but owner Nicole has what you need - she stocks a wider variety of wines than even the late great Chronicle Wine Cellar (where I "worked" from 2007 - 2013!) Nicole is very knowledgeable and listens to her customers to help get what they want. And the prices are competitive! Stop by, you'll become a regular too!! And there's a parking lot just before the shop!

Even if you are a local but do not readily fit the intended demographic, you may encounter slight tension as in anywhere in the Greater Los Angeles area where inherent biases of life live most fervently. Still, wonderful little shop: with good attendants to a variety surely not showcased that is beyond the also offered local grocery stocks of libations. Cheers to this little shop that also falls victim to the biases of our present day society - specifically, that is of our Western Culture and in the remnants of the City of Quartz coined by those such as beloved author, Mike Davis. A delightful wine purchasing experience! Nicole was very knowledgeable and helpful on the phone, and even more so in person. The store is easy to find, has a parking lot, and is well laid out. Prices are on point and the bottles well stored. Best of all, I even got to pet the owner's dog! I would highly recommend this shop to everyone.

We were walking down Green St today, enjoying the beautiful architecture, and stumbled upon this amazing small wine store. The selections seem to go more old world, elegant, and the store owner was there to help us and lead our selections. Super friendly, amazing wines, I can't wait to return sometime very soon. We picked up three Rieslings to try out, and Nicole was very knowledgeable and excited about the wines she carries! 5 Stars!!!

This place is awesome! Clean, fun and very easy to shop. The selection of wine and beer are great. Nicole, the owner, is friendly and knowledgeable! It's like going to a 5 star restaurant and ordering a bottle you get to take home! The prices and bottles available will keep me coming back! This is my favorite Prosecco and she has it in stock!

Nicole has curated the most lovely selection of well-priced wines! They're organized so well and she is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. She has done a great job of making wine approachable and easy to shop for, which is hard to find. Absolutely will keep coming back for more.

I came in looking for 5 nice bottles for gifts. I told Nicole that my budget was about $50-60 per bottle. Anytime I've ever mentioned my budget to other stores, they would immediately show me wines at that price (or higher!). But Nicole listened more to the type of wines I liked, as opposed to the budget. She personally hand-picked an incredible array of wines, all of which were under $40, based on my wine preferences. Rather than maximizing her profit margins, she wound up saving me a lot of money, and I got exactly what I need. I can't wait to visit next time to see what new gems she's brought in!

Are you a wine lover? Do you like trying new wines? Are you willing to trust an expert's opinion? Three yeses, two yeses or even one yes means you need to visit the Pasadena Wine Shop. Owner/ wine expert Nicole will amaze you. She is both friendly and knowledgeable. Two attributes not usually attributed simultaneously to a wine expert. This shop is for those of us who love wine and hate wine snobery. Please stop in and ask Nicole for suggestions. I do all the time and she has never steered me wrong. In fact she has introduced me to some wines that have become my favorites. Bring a cookie for Daphne. She's a little sweetheart.

Such a bummer that this place didn't open until AFTER I moved away because in addition to wine, Pasadena Wine Shop has a very carefully curated beer selection. And by "carefully curated," don't be surprised if nothing looks familiar because this is NOT a standard nor subpar set of options (like that which you are apt to find at the corner liquor store). But fear not! The owner/operator has tested everything she carries for sale, and she can answer your questions. Most stores that have any variety of craft beer generally opt to carry American IPAs, of which I am not a fan, so I was delighted to see several Pilsner options in the two beer cases. After a few questions I chose the Institution "RX Pils" Pilsner, which comes in tall, 16 oz. goldish-bronze cans - either singly or in a four pack. It was described as a crisp German style pilsner made in Camarillo and it was exactly what I was looking for. No need to drive all the way to Mission Liquor, and Pasadena Wine Shop is opened on Sundays, too! Highly recommended.

I was coming in from out of town and wanted to bring *cold* bottles of Champagne to my event. Nicole had a terrific selection of grower Champagnes, and when I called in advance, she gladly put them in the refrigerator for my arrival. It's easy to see why the shop has such a high rating. I always try and support local businesses and the Pasadena Wine Shop is a great example. Located on Greet Street on the North side is where this small shop is located. There is a small parking lot and one can park in the street as well. Today I decided to buy some beer while taking a break from making homemade Chile Verde for my tamales. This is a wine shop but they also have a great beer section. I love IPA beers and they have a good section. The shop is clean, well lite and organized. Wine adorns the walls and located in the back is the beer. The beer is stored on shelves and in a refrigerator. This location is walking distance from my condo and that is also a big plus for me. This is my second visit here. Todays bill came to $18.50 for 4 different 16 ounce IPA beers. Good deal considering a pint of IPA will run you 8 to $10 in a bar or restaurant. One my first visit the owner was here and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about wine and beer. A young man was manning the shop today and he was friendly and helpful.

Don't be fooled by the small space - it is well stocked with an exceptional collection of wines from all over the globe. Many under the $30 range. Nicole has that gift of personality that makes her feel like an old friend within minutes of meeting. This is a great small business to support.

Nicole (the owner) is so friendly and provided top notch service. I found a bottle of wine I wanted to ship online to a local recipient as I am not in the area. She hand wrapped the bottle, hand wrote a note I wanted to include, and delivered it personally keeping me in the loop along the way. Incredible attention to detail and excellent customer service. I highly recommend this company!

This was a very nice experience as someone who isn't that experienced with wine. My friend recommended this place and stated that the owner was really knowledgeable and friendly and they were definitely right. She asked me plenty of questions to help figure out what I'd prefer and explained a lot about the differences between the types of wine (example: red vs white wine, pinot vs cabernet). Really excited to try what I bought and am definitely open to returning.

Obsessed with this wine shop!! Great and varied selection of wines. The owner Nicole is super knowledgeable and has had awesome recommendations that have expanded our wine-horizons and we've loved. I love visiting here! Nicole is the sweetest and never misses with her recs. She always asks what flavor profile I am looking for and then price (which I appreciate). She knows my favorite wine and will compare similar ones to that one. You can tell she has put so much intention into her store and the community! It's a must visit!!

Read her bio on her website, but seeing the shops' great mix of old and new world European w, sparklers of all sorts, Northern and Central California, and approachable natural wines tells you she knows her stuff. Best of all, the wines are at approachable price points, with most bottles going for less than $2If you're feeling rich, she also has some splurge worthy bottles as well. She has also curated some shelves highlighting black winemakers, female winemakers, best bets for under $25, and splits/half bottles! She even has something to please the craft beer bro or gal in your life with cans from LA area breweries. There's literally something for everyone who loves wine. Pro-tip: there are dedicated parking spaces next to the shop on the drivers side of Green. No excuses now, so go check out the Pasadena Wine Shop!

Great new wine shop in Pasadena. Really good selection from all over the world (including North America) reasonable prices, and the owner personally helped me find some fun new wines to try (plus they have a great beer selection too)! It's great having a place like this in the area, and I will definitely be back.
