Up a near-secret staircase, this intimate cocktail room mixes classics with seasonal originals. Long praised by Dallas food writers for its craft-first ethos and mellow vibe, it’s a refined counterpoint to the rowdy bar scene.

Cozy Hidden Gem Loved the cozy vibe here — perfect for a laid-back night out. Highly recommend the Lavender Lane cocktail — smooth, floral, and just the right amount of fancy. And of course, you can’t go wrong with a classic Old Fashioned.

My new favorite bar in Denton! So very cool! Love the speakeasy vibe. Drinks were great and the bartender was super friendly and engaging. And the atmosphere! So cool!

Google
a very very cutesy place, however there are a few complaints- the bartenders don’t seem to enjoy helping out people and the quality of their drinks isn’t great. Everything is either WAY too much simple syrup, or so bitters heavy that it take away from the integrity of the drink. The whisky “sour” was almost the same level as a lemon drop & their espresso martini was coffee flavored vodka shaken with cream (overall a 3/10), for how high end of a bar they are, the martini felt very cheap. Definitely disappointed with this visit, but most likely will return.

I LOVE this place! Cutest speakeasy ever. The drinks were phenomenal and the bartender was excellent (thanks, Zach!). I can't wait to go on Jazz night. 🎉

We had cocktail hour here after our wedding and the vibe is unmatched! We rented the space outside of business hours (you won't find somewhere more reasonably priced) and the staff was absolutely incredible!! Our guests are still talking about it almost a year later. Can't thank Paschall Bar enough.

Google
Quality drinks as always. I make it a point when in town to visit. Every bar tender is knowledgeable in crafting great drinks!

Google
It’s on the corner of N. Locust and E. Oak in downtown Denton. This place has such a cute vibe. You feel like you’re going back in time because of the speakeasy feel. It’s a great place for convo, drinks and darts. My daughter enjoyed the cocktails there and we ended up playing darts in the back room. The best part is you can see downtown Denton and people watch from above because it’s on the second floor. Great views of jumbo tron TV in the food truck area. I recommend going there for a unique experience.

Google
This place was SO much fun! I'm always in the lookout for "secret" bars. I love the fact that the entrance is SO low-key. If you didn't know you would not enter. I will take any friend visiting to this hidden gem. Also, their staff was super friendly and the bar tender was classy. Loved the cocktails, and the ambiance is beyond beating. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could give it 5+. Update: I visited again, and it is still amazing!

Yelp
I was attending a wedding in Denton, TX and decided to make a weekend out of it. My wedding date and I decided to do some recon of the town the night before so we knew all the hot spots when all our friends arrived. We made our way to Denton Square and started bar hopping. We found ourselves at Paschall Bar by way of recommendations from locals. At first we were confused because what we thought was the door led to an abandoned looking basement. Then the other door out front led to a bar that sounded like they were playing metal music. Then we saw a red light above a door and decided to try that. Voila! We found a staircase leading up to the speakeasy. Stairs is the only option as this building is one of the oldest buildings in Denton. It's been around for close to 150 years and you can definitely see and feel those old timey vibes. You can see the aged look that I appreciate they kept. The bar is dimly lit with dark wood walls, tiled ceiling, a bookcase with old books, chandeliers, and even a big buffalo head. This to me is the definition of a speakeasy. Customer service was amazing on both nights we visited. The minute I took a look at the drink menu here and saw the bartenders at work, I knew I was in for a treat. They had all the classics, but they also had a signature and seasonal menu as well. If you want beer or wine, they got that too. It was fall when we visited and my eyes fixated on their seasonal menu. Everything looked good, but I went with the Great Outdoors. I was their seasonal take on an old fashioned. Instead of an orange peel as a garnish, it came with a flaming marshmallow. The first sip transported me to the times when I used to go camping. They used top shelf bourbon and the drink had a smores taste to it which is my jam. I absolutely loved this drink and have been missing it since. A drink that was a close second was the Lavender Lane. This was a vodka drink with hints of lavender, vanilla, and some citrus. It also contained egg whites which gives it a smooth, velvety feel when you drink it. Delicious! I'll be the first to admit that I was not expecting Denton to have such wonderful bars and speakeasies. We loved this place so much that we bragged it up at the wedding and brought a bunch of people here the next night. I would without a doubt come back here when in the area.

Yelp
This place was a nice surprise! I was attending a show at the below bar and accidentally ran into this place. I love speakeasies and this definitely has that vibe, so I had to check it out after the show was over. You have to go up a flight of stairs that end at small window that has a person ready to greet you and check your ID of course. Once you go inside you're immediately transported to a sophisticated and classic old time. There's open seating and tables everywhere, the walls are filled with frames, paintings, mirrors, bookcases and lots of interesting decor to look at. I love the vibe of this place, I just prefer to go when is less crowded. You have to order your drinks at the bar, you don't get service. The bartender made a special margarita just for me, it wasn't in the menu. I need to go back to this place with my husband.

Yelp
Fun, speakeasy vibes if you're out in Denton. Cocktails and service are awesome. Great date night place

Yelp
We couldn't believe how popular this place was on a random Monday night, but the drinks were incredible, the ambience felt like New Orleans, and everyone was super friendly.

Yelp
Yes yes and yes! It was everything I wanted and more! I had some neighbors tell me of the amazing cocktails at Paschalls. The first time I tried to visit they reached capacity and so I didn't get to go but I did this time! It reminded me of a Gatsby-Medieval Castle- Library home. When you step in you'll understand what I mean! It's a smaller place so seating is very limited, however you may be lucky like us and snag a table just perfect for us. I love trying new cocktails but often it's a risk because I like complex drinks but only if they're sweeter and easy to drink. If you're like me - get the Apple mule drink. Wow amazing. Like a spiked apple cider but you barely even taste the spike! I'm not sure if it's customary or if it was today but we waited in line to order which is awkward but I LOVED. I hate feeling like I have to fight other people to get the bartenders attention. The lady who helped me was very helpful and kind enough to answer all my questions. And the rec she made was perfect. I definitely need to come back with my husband! Thank y'all for the wonderful time! Bartenders deserve all the tips!!!!

Yelp
Interesting and relaxing place to visit. Great cocktails and excellent staff. Used to be a bit noisy when the bar below had live music, but they have since gone out of business and now Paschall's is much better.

Yelp
What a fun place to go and hang out. The drinks are really good and just an overall cool place.

Bryena T.

Yelp
Cool vibe with some games available to hangout and enjoy the company of friends, not just drink.

Bryna S.

Yelp
The cocktails here are GREAT. It is aesthetically lovely to look at, and the ambience is very warm & inviting making you want to stay and relax in the space. Each time I've been here so far (3/3) however, there are an excessive amount of used glasses left behind on every table (absolutely no ice in some either, been sitting for a while) trash on the floor & tables, so that sort of leaves the looks feeling diminished and me feeing a bit unsettled/grossed out. The bartenders also aren't very warm & inviting. The experience feels very "go through the motions" rather than an experience that cares about me, or educates guests about the craft cocktail-making process. I have felt as though they aren't very person-centered honestly. Wants to be classy, but does a mediocre job. Once again, great cocktails though.

Yelp
Love this speakeasy bar! It's a great hidden gem of Denton with the most amazing unique drinks! I love the atmosphere here with art and books covering the walls and chesterfield sofas for seating too! There's darts to play as well, along with soft chill music. A lot of people come and go but I'll stay here for hours relaxing and sipping on my cocktails made by the wonderful Tristan! It's the bourbon and craft cocktail lovers dream spot!

Alexandria N.

Yelp
Delightful espresso martini with friends. Great ambiance, well designed and styled. The bar staff got through the line quickly. Definitely coming back here for another hang out.

Steve L.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! We love it. The best part about Paschall's is the service and the drinks.

Yelp
When you get past the tallest stair case in the world. You find yourself transformed into something from the prohibition period: Mahogany wood, dark bourbon colored thick window coverings and paintings that remind you of a bygone era. A look at them menu and you find all the classic cocktails and a signature menu that features unique and peculiar cocktails. My mixologist Matthew suggested the perfect cocktail, the Harvest Pear. It was like sipping on a Christmas desert. I also noticed that the staff are very knowledgeable. Give them a fruit or tell them what u don't like and they will come up with a cocktail that pairs perfectly for even the most distinguished of palates. This is going to be one bar i will come back and visit when I'm in the area.

Fly Spy G.

Yelp
This place is not the same. From my favorite bar to I will never be back. The drink menu changed but it's really the staff interaction we had. The girl was cold and rude. The drinks were not handled correctly. Gently stirring drinks that need to be shaken aggressively, not measuring the liquor properly and shorting the drinks. I couldn't even get my favorite drink cause they didn't have all the ingredients to make it. The whole fruit bar they used to have up front is gone making this place super average. What a letdown.

Sam S.

Yelp
Great drinks. Great atmosphere. Short bartender girl is very rude to outsiders. Disrespectful to other women.

Yelp
I go back and forth on this place. I like the décor and the drinks really are quite good. The space is impressive and makes an impact when you enter. However, the staff can be hit and miss. I have been a couple of times and will say that the bartenders are well trained and the drinks are consistently good. The attitude is what varies. This last time, I came with a friend who had never been. We came early on Saturday and went straight to the bar. The bartender was friendly and welcoming and let us know he was available if we had any questions. We decided to sit and check out the menu. When we went to order, he was occupied and we were helped by another bartender who then tried to talk me out of my order. It wasn't that he didn't want to make it, it was far from one of their more complicated, he just looked at me and assumed I wouldn't like it. Now, I am all about recommendations from people, but I also know what I like, and I stuck with my original order. Shaking up my friends harvest pear while simultaneously stirring my spice rack, earned him more than one discreet eyeroll. Also, I think the vibe is a bit ruined with hip-hop literally thumping through the floorboards. It is the same owner as Andy's so this isn't a neighbor issue, and it fits really well downstairs, but there is no getting away from it up. I really think the price point is more than fair for the quality of their cocktails, and the spice rack was delicious.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Met some friends here after work. Nice lounge/den like bar. No speak easy or live music. Enjoyed the atmosphere, really laid back. Service was great, specialty drinks even better.
google avatar

Jess M.

Yelp
We brought our friend here for his 21st birthday and he had a BLAST! Thank you to all of the bartenders who recommended good drinks for him.
google avatar

Jenn F.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite bar. this place is so cool. It's a hidden gem. I almost don't want to review it. I love the lounge atmosphere and the hidden location. They have four, darts, and plenty of areas to sit - you can even play chess! My only complaint, is that they have not replenish their supply of darts so good luck trying to play game with two darts. The upside is that the bartenders spend plenty of time chatting with you and making sure that you have a great drink, you can see the fresh herbs and handmade infusions and they even share some of their obscure knowledge with you. However if there's more than one person waiting to order sometimes the conversations seem to go on a little bit long. regardless I still love this place and come in and chill whenever I get the chance.

Yelp
Well this was my first time here and being a seasoned drinker this place was just ok. It's great for a one time visit and that's about it. It's definitely a great touristy attraction type place. At $10-$17 a drink this place is an overpriced novelty. The place is musty and smells old. Sometimes old is great but, in this case I feel like the second floor is a fire hazard. The door to this bar is located next to Andy's. Once opening the door you see those beautiful stairs! They are pretty steep and have railing located on both sides. There is no handicap access, which I am totally alright with. We initially waited to climb the stairs for a woman to descend the stairs. I have no idea how she was able to climb them in the first place. I'm sure it was a victory that she participated in an outing with her family. There are no elevators which in reality would take away from this place. 3/2019

Yelp
Great service, great atmosphere, great music, great vibes. All around great place! Came here with my sister and got a few drinks and played darts and had a good ole time!

Jenna S.

Yelp
I've loved Paschall's for years but I guess they have new staff. My friend and I visited last night, and a shorter female bartender seemed angry from the second we walked up to the bar. She asked to see some ID after my friend ordered her drink (which is totally fine) but after my friend provided her ID and reached for it back when the bartender handed it back - we were told that we needed to leave. The bartender said that my friend "snatched" her ID back, so we needed to go. I saw the whole thing and my friend certainly didn't snatch anything. Even if she did, that would still be quite a dramatic reaction from the bartender to say the least. We walked out like she asked, but before we could make it all the way down the stairs another bartender followed us out continuing to yell at us about the "snatching." The unprofessional fight started by the bartender ended with the bartender calling my friend a "fat b***". Insane behavior.

Yelp
If I could give them a zero I would. We were told to wait outside. Other people were told to wait on the stairs and we were told to wait to outside. I literally was told I would not be served. The hostess was rude The owner told us we were not allowed in Never recommend this place!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rude. Unbelievable. We were told they were over capacity and had too many people in and would not allow us in for the night. The owner came up and asked us to leave though they were letting other people in even though they were past capacity. We were told by other people leaving they were asked to wait on the stairs. When I asked the hostess why we were asked to wait outside while others can wait on the stairs, she asked us to leave. I will say another staff member behind her witnessed the exchange and was acting shocked why the hostess was talking that way. I will also say I 100% believe the person that asked us to leave that said they were the owner... Was 100% not the owner. Very upset. Do not go here!

Yelp
This place is still very much running!! It's a beautiful little speakeasy that's best at night. The drinks are lovely, I recommend the Violet French 75. Has a super nice cozy, library vibe and I love coming here in the colder months. Workers are lovely and make delicious cocktails! I couldn't recommend it more!

Yelp
Very cool atmosphere and bar. Limited seating. Lots of unique drinks - or at least drinks with unique names at Paschall's.

Yelp
So, I was hanging around Denton a couple of weeks ago and still finding little pockets of fun. So a friend took me to Paschall's. Speakeasies are getting popular in DFW. I was excited to try some well crafted cocktails. So, we opened the door and my eyes met a long case of stairs. I literally had a flashback to Dart City Place stairs! IYKYK! Shout out to BGR. I took a deep breath and it up to a wonderful space. It seems we arrived right before the crowd would start to arrive. This is a perfect pre-dinner cocktail bar or after dinner relax with conversation spot. They have two menus. One just for the day cocktails and standard menu. I had a Leave Her Johnny. It was so blue and beautiful. Other patrons commented and wondered about my thoughts. I took the pleasure of having a sip, then another sip! It was delicious. This is a hidden treat to those outside of the Denton area. I'm sure Denton community are fond of this space. As I went on to my Ol' Fashion I settle back in my chair and looked over to what I assume is the court house. It was a lovely backdrop to end my evening.

Yelp
One of my favs in Denton. Fills up quick on the weekends and there has been many times I've had to wait in the entrance or stairs until someone left. Inevitably once you get in, it's not overwhelmingly full- they just monitor how many people are requesting service at a time it seems like. While waiting, we have been told that there is only two bartenders at the moment and they have a wait due to that. Overall, best ambiance in Denton and the drinks are completely crafted- the bartenders take time to make it with care, but the wait sometimes can be a thing, so get there early if that's an issue.
google avatar

Caitlyn B.

Yelp
Uhhh yes, Denton does have a quiet speakeasy. I've known about this place for a little while, and was always meaning to drop in, but I wasn't sure if the environment was for me. Like most reviews state, the door to get in is located right next to Andy's bar. There is no markings on the outside, but when you open the door, you are faced with a step set of stairs, and a doorman waiting to check ID and take your coat (how fancy) The decor is quite old school, and you will likely feel as though you've stepped through time. There are old books, grand pianos, and the best bar top you will see in Denton. They don't do anything simple here, we are talking top notch ingredients. However, yes you will find something for everyone as they have a small selection of beer. They work with a lot of fresh ingredients, and each cocktail is made from scratch in front of you. Because most of the drinks can tend to be quite intricate, it does take a little while for them to make one, and sometimes the bar line can get long. But be patient people, these bartenders are crafting art. As pretentious as this place might seem on the inside, and from the secrecy of it all, I can tell you that I've never met a nicer group of bartenders in Denton. You get a lot of bartenders that scoff at questions or look at you funny when you order certain items, but you won't find that here. Every bartender is willing to spend time talking to you about what you want, and how your doing. It's very refreshing. Now let's get down to price. They aren't as outrageous as it might seem, roughly 8$ for most cocktails. This is pretty standard in Denton maybe a dollar or so more. and I can tell you it's totally worth it. If your talking solely about paying for the quality of the drinks, as well as the final outcome, your already paying something worth it. Once you add in the usual quite atmosphere, this place is a deal! They do tend to get a little busy on the weekends as they are no longer as secretive as they might have hoped, but Monday-Wednesday you can find a spot anywhere. They also have a really great happy hour with five dollar cocktails! So I urge you to check this cool place out, you won't see anything else like this in Denton!

Yelp
My favorite bar in Denton! The entrance is an unmarked door next to Andy's Bar. The entrance will open to a flight of stairs where an attendant will greet you at the top to make sure you're of age to enter. The speakeasy itself is dimly lit, making it a somewhat intimate experience but I've seen large groups of friends here as well. Seating includes a few couches, some high-top tables, and some regular tables. The A+ seating is the seating that overlooks the square. I occasionally will see people playing scrabble or darts while sipping their crafted cocktails. My fiancé and I have come here on Friday and Saturday nights and have never had to wait to get inside. There are usually 2-3 bartenders available to make drinks so even though there are separate lines, the wait can be long to get to the front to order your drinks. The bar menu is pretty extensive to include seasonal drinks, classics, absinthe, bold, inventive, nightcaps, tiki, refreshing, and indulgent drinks. The variety is good if you're up for trying a few drinks or if your party is large and you want to accommodate a variation of preferences. We've been to Paschall's 6+ times and have been able to try something different every time. The cocktails are impressive! I always have a great time and I highly recommend you check out Paschall's if you want a solid experience!

Yelp
This place is sooo cool! I love the vibe here.. no food here...only cocktails. Best cocktails in the area! On certain days they have live music... which is super fun.
google avatar

Yelp
Paschall does amazing cocktails and has a fun maximalist ambience with a great view of the square. Happy Hour is really great too. I miss this place!

Sean P.

Yelp
We been to Paschall so many times. Not because we like this bar, but this is the only bar that has a good vibe. We just wanted to show our friends the nice place in Denton. However, the service is unwelcome every time. Doesn't matter how much tip you gave them. The girl in the front was rude and bad attitude. Im not sure if she is a hostess or just hired to sit in the front. (Sun 12/19/22) Not recommend if you looking for a good service.
google avatar

Sam B.

Yelp
Speakeasy-style bar located above Andy's Bar (same owners) in the Downtown Denton Square. The entrance is an unmarked door to the right of Andy's. If you see a long flight of stairs when you open the door, you're in the right place! Paschall has live jazz every Sunday evening. It can be a bit pretentious but hey, there are plenty of other places around to wet your whistle (including downstairs at Andy's) if you don't want pretentious. There's a great selection of craft cocktails to choose from but do yourself a favor and try the Narcissa. It's one of the best cocktails I've ever had!
google avatar

Erica A.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a speakeasy bar. This one is fantastic! There is no sign outside, which is so pretentious and I love it. We weren't even looking for this place but saw a bunch of people going in a door so we followed them. What a great adventure that turned out to be! The interior of this place is great. From all the books on the wall to the artwork everything is really interesting and gives the place a great vibe. They have cozy seating near some windows that overlook the square. They also have darts and pool if that's your thing. The bartenders were great and I told the girl exactly what I like and she fixed me up a lavender violet cocktail that was velvety smooth. Expect to pay no less than $10 a drink but that's usually standard for a place like this. Highly recommend!

Stacy P.

Yelp
Coolest place to sit back and have a drink after a long stressful week. Best bartender is Mateo.
google avatar

Flint W.

Yelp
Strong 5. The head bartender is super knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks are thoughtful, balanced and different. The room is relaxing and a wonderful place to sit and enjoy an evening.

Yelp
We discovered this place last night, after being referred there by a good friend. What a cool place! Cocktails are made here with a passion, and the 'old world' library setting creates a relaxing atmosphere. Come here with good friends who appreciate the fine art of mixology.

Yelp
A friend recommended Paschall's to my girlfriend and I to check out. He told us that it was a speakeasy that has some pretty pricey drinks but would be fun to go grab a drink or two at for the hell of it. We went out on my last night in Denton to do just that! We had a hard time finding the place. Had to go into another bar nearby to ask where it was. I won't tell you what the entrance looks like because it would ruin the fun of the adventure in finding it! Afterall, this is a speakeasy! We got upstairs and entered a very nice upstairs lounge adorned with filled bookshelves and decoration all over the place. This place seemed classier then your average pub so we dressed up a little rather then wearing jeans and a t shirt. It was around midnight so alot of people dressed casually were there and were a quite rowdy. My girlfriend didn't seem to enjoy that but thats what you should expect at a bar when its getting later in the night. We lucked out and grabbed a spot. I got us some cocktails. We tried the raspberry beret and the espresso martini. The espresso martini was great and looked so beautiful. Sadly we didnt stay long due to the noise but that might have been a good thing since drinks were pricey. We had another round and left. This place was very cool and would maybe like to check it out earlier in the evening when theres less people if i make it back.

Yelp
So of the twenty-five reviews currently, seven are by people I have either met or am connected to on Yelp. I have been told repeatedly to go visit Paschall. Even by people at bakeries in town. First off I'm no Hipster, so I don't think I'd fit in at all. I'm also very comfortable at Andy's basement bar two floors down. That and Oak St. Draft House. But when some of your close friends, who happen to be motorcycle riders (as far from Hipsters as possible) suggest it and are going with you, you make the detour. As other reviews have said, it has an old prohibition era, time gone by feel to it. Books line the walls, dark artwork above the doors, a chessboard, nice music, no TVs and a set up to make the perfect absinthe drink. If you enjoy absinthe. They have a decent selection of beers and I enjoyed a Widmer Alchemy Ale. They have great cocktails and the woman was very deft at putting together a Manhattan for one of my friends. They also had a good selection of Tequila (also purchased by others). It's a really small place, but it was nice to just sit and talk, low music in the background and a nice view of the square. Good friends, good drinks, good times. Support Denton businesses! Enjoy.

Yelp
The place is very cool. Excellent mixed drinks. Bartenders are on point with their drinks. Great place to relax and have a drink. The only con was the bass from downstairs bar was too much for this atmosphere sometimes. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The hubby and I met some friends here the day before our 20 year reunion. It was their suggestion to meet here. We walked past the unnoticeable wooden door before we figured out it was the entrance. Then we climbed the tall staircase to the smoke filled bar. It reminded me of a scene right out of Austin Powers. It is "Groovy, Baby". It is an eclectic bar with floor to celling books, red velvet curtains, and a mesh of 70's furniture. After we found a place to sit my hubby meandered over to the bar to get us some beverages. He came back and said you have to come see the drink menu. This is not your beer and wine kind of place. This is pure mixology! You come here for cocktails. That is what they serve and the make it a show. The bartenders don leather aprons and a classic handlebar mustaches. They also add a Tom Cruise "Cocktails and Dreams" showboating while making your drink. I ordered the French Martini, with vodka, Chambord raspberry liqueur, pineapple juice and lemon. The hubby can't get out of his box and ordered a beer. It wasn't too loud. We were able to relax and catch up with some old friends in our comfy round sectional in the corner of the bar.

Yelp
I'm sure this review is not the first review you are reading for Paschall. That being said, yes, definitely believe everything great that everyone else says about this place. It is indeed very awesome. They just finished a renovation and expansion, and I wasn't sure it was possible, but the place looks even more amazing. The bartenders here really and truly care about the art of crafting cocktails. The drinks these mixologists create are more than worth the price, ESPECIALLY during Happy Hour M-F 4pm-7pm when they have selected cocktails for only $5! Filled with cozy little nooks and cranys, tons of books, chess sets, and live jazz every Sunday night. Don't call it overpriced, pretentious, snooty, or whatever those lessers say about it. Just go there, embrace the fantastic ambiance and feeling, and have a freaking blast!

What a find in Denton! This cocktail bar is up there with any other cocktail bar in bigger cities. The drinks are very good, unique and done well! The atmosphere and decor is awesome! I can spend the entire night there with friends!

Yelp
Not an easy place to find, and I guess they like it that way. Once you find your way in and up the stairs, you'll enter what feels a bit like a prohibition-era speak easy. Full bar with several craft cocktails and you can take a seat on the sofa, or play a game of chess, or just look out over the square. There's also a pool room, and darts, it what feels as much like a Victorian study as a bar. A nice escape, but not a large place, so only invite your closest friends.

Yelp
I went here on my 21st birthday bar crawl and it is an awesome place. It feels a little more sophisticated than some of the typical college bars on Fry and in the area. I ordered an old fashioned and they actually gave it to me for free since it was my birthday. Very good drink, my friends enjoyed what they ordered as well. There was a long line to get in as we were leaving so I guess it's a popular spot. Looking forward to coming back here in the future!

Yelp
The design of the bar was nice and the drinks were fair at best but I was expecting either old standards or jazz or something more in line with the term "speakeasy" and the vibe the place was intending. Something more quiet and relaxing that allowed for conversation. Instead it was rap music and too loud to ignore! Really? That's already played in every other bar and was looking for something different in a speakeasy. I asked the girl that was watching the door why that choice of music and she said the manager on duty like it because he could "think". Whatever. I'm sure the owner would have a different opinion which is why I'm leaving this review. Its been a few months since we went there but that was my first time and last. Its not with $30 for a couple of drinks + tip and awful music.

Yelp
This is my favorite bar in Denton. The drinks are delicious, it is perfectly atmospheric, and the prices are so much better than NY prices. My go to drinks are the raspberry beret and the strawberry fields. They have an expansive cocktail menu for all of your tastes and I imagine the bartenders may have their own special concoctions. I like to go early if I'm catching up with close friends. If you go to any bar in Denton, visit Paschall. It is divine.

Yelp
Absolute fanciest bar in Denton! My fave! Has the feel of a 1930's dive bar, it's really cool.
