I just love this hotel, and the whole team. They aspire to offer an excellent, world class experience. In many ways it is that, with gorgeous suite designs, a thorough and attentive service team, seamless booking of activities outside of the hotel, a beautiful breakfast buffet, impeccable drinks, and delightful surprises (e.g. baking my husband a cake for his bday). ||At the same time, there are areas that can be improved: the exorbitant cost of the hotel's "Experiences", the noisy smaller rooms, the hard beds, the quality of the lunch/dinner food, and the mosquitos in the ground floor suite. However, the staff did try to remedy what we brought to their attention. For example, they provided us a discounted room upgrade when we complained about the smell and noise of our first room. They have also done their work to anticipate and mitigate certain problems that may occur. For example, Paseo 206 has back-up generators that kick in when Havana experiences one of its regular black-outs. ||The improvement areas aside, it's just marvelous what Andrea has accomplished with this hotel - and its sister hotel - and what he's trying to do for the larger hospitality market and economy of Havana in general. As well, it's such a charming experience overall to stay here. The staff - especially the women - are kind and accommodating. Jazz nights on Thursdays, featuring young artists from the university of the arts, are very well done. Harold is a WORLD CLASS drinks master and barista! The mansion has been exquisitely restored in a modern nod to the city's European heritage. And Andrea is onsite daily to touch base with staff, ensure things are running smoothly, and meet his guests. I would love to stay with him again and support his fine work. Keep it up!
