Where to Eat Russian Food in London | The Best Russian Restaurants - Eater London

"Pasha in Camberwell takes its inspiration from the Silk Road — more specifically, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russian-speaking countries with “-stan” in their name. Aside from South Caucasian and Central Asian classics like manti (spiced meat dumplings), lagman (a rich noodle soup) and plov (an Uzbek specialty of rice, vegetables and meat, slow-cooked in a cauldron with animal fat), Pasha also serves the strangely named Russian appetizer — seld pod shuboy, a.k.a. “herring under a fur coat.” Rest assured: no animals, except for a herring, are harmed in the making of this dish." - Daria Kyrilova

Friendly staff, good location for bus. For the price this hotel is perfect. Great shower, shower gel and shampoo supplied, has sink, fridge microwave and toaster, smart TV on wall. We were in a back room., so no view. Did not try the breakfast as no free tables when we went, but I assume you wouldn't wait long. Appeared to be a good choice, and the option of fresh omelette. Vending machine in reception, local shops foer supplies .Great hotel, nothing negative to say for the price. Thanks for a great 2 night stay.

The rooms were big and clean, very well decorated with all the necessary facilities. The breakfast had a huge selection to choose from. Everyone was nice and helpful. The location has easy access to all the transports too. Definitely coming back. Thank you.

We had a great time at the hotel. It was a hot day and the air con was on and waiting for us which was a very nice to walk into. Its clear they are refurbishing the hotel. They were always quiet and pleasant when we needed to get past. They stopped and made way for us so it didn't detract from our stay. Our room had a comfortable bed and standard amenities. The breakfast was also good. They have made a very good attempt on an English breakfast but taking into account their religious beliefs. Cannot fault them on this as it is good to see them thinking about how to mix the two together, it was very interesting to try the beef bacon, it was quite good. They also had a made to order omelettes. Only downside to this hotel is the steep steps and narrowish passages up the stairs. People with disabilities won't easily be accommodated here. Overall I would recommend this hotel. The only major shortcoming which is the stairs, they sadly cant do anything about as it is a matter of the actual construction of the building and not somthing they can change. Very nice team aswell.

Our stay at the hotel was, overall, very good. The staff’s service was excellent—always friendly, attentive, and available 24/7 for anything you might need. You can really tell they care about their guests. The room was well equipped, with plenty of clean towels, sheets, and pillows, which we really appreciated. The included breakfast was also a great bonus: quite complete, with fruits, eggs, beans, sausage, cereal, pancakes, and more options. One thing that could be improved is the smell in some parts of the hallways, which was a bit odd, although it went away once you entered the room. We also had a minor issue with the electricity on the first night, as the power went out during the early morning, and some lights in the room didn’t seem to work properly. We’re not sure if it was a system issue or if we just didn’t know how to use them. We told the front desk, and everything was working fine the next day. Another small detail was that some of the walls had stains and the bathroom door had a visible dent, but none of that affected the comfort of our stay.

Rooms very clean and well set out. Breakfast was more than ample with very friendly kitchen team. Still some very minor decorating going on in corridors and reception. Good area and value for money will use again after this 2 day stay.

Hotel is very well placed to public transport and has several shops within 1 min walk, room was clean and adequate for the price and my needs, safe in my room wasn't working but room did have a fridge, kettle and coffee tea and milk. Could do with an iron but possibly available if you ask(I didn't). Really worth the money paid. Breakfast was good plenty of choice and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Despite the warm welcome on arrival things started to go downhill from there. Once we got past the builders (who worked until 6pm) the room was okay although the fit and finish wasn't great. The light in the kitchenette gave off sparks and the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. Getting to the eating area required using a very awkward staircase with one very poor handrail. The room was baking hot with next to no air-conditioning. The breakfast was awful and badly cooked: the juices weren't kept cold; the sausages were hot dogs; no fried bread or bacon and my wife's cheese omlete was woeful.
