"A more than half a century old, family-owned pizzeria in Royal Oak is preparing to close its doors for good. Pasquale’s Restaurant confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the owners are looking to lease or possibly sell the property at 31555 Woodward Ave. in Royal Oak for redevelopment. The DelGiudice family established Pasquale’s in 1954 and four generations have helped keep the business running. 'My brothers and I grew up here; it’s always been family-run and we’ll miss feeding the community,' owner Michael DelGiudice said in a release. 'We’ve been slowing down naturally for the last few years, and after discussing this internally we believe the timing is right.' No specific date has been set for the closure at this time as the owners are still in the early stages of securing a new tenant or buyer. The 7,587-square-foot restaurant, which was listed today with RBC1 LLC, features a full basement, a Class C liquor license, and a 190-space parking lot, according to the property brochure. 'The plan is to stay open as long as we can,' DelGiudice said. 'We want to keep that big parking lot packed until the bittersweet end.'" - Brenna Houck

Very sad that this place will be closing!! My fiancé and I have been going here since we started dating and we have had a great experience every time we go! Their pizza, antipasto salad and spaghetti are all delicious. Very reasonable prices, tons of parking and we always get great service. Perfect for big families and parties as they have a huge selection of food and a banquet room!

This is a time tested family favorite dinning spot. Not everyone will like everything there but you should be able to find something you like.

Enjoyed their deep dish pizza. Baked perfectly!! All staff was friendly.

The place was packed, but we only waited a few minutes. Server was very attentive, and punctual. Food was very good, nice size proportions, and the bread had great texture and flavor. I really liked the dessert menu, they basically brought our all of the options and we chose from there, followed by the server bringing a fresh plate of what we chose. Price was good. Will return.

Honestly until this year I've never had a bad meal or salad out of this restaurant until now. The salad dressing was doused in fish and I've never ever had a caesar dressing reeking of anchovy so bad that not only was I literally backing up to the wall in my booth with my husband in front of me watching it unfold, but it had me almost ready to puke. It affected me enjoying my meal so bad I couldn't even finish it at all I was that grossed out and could still taste it. I even went outside to smoke a cigarette after I could no longer stomach my meal at all and I wound up still spitting up the bite of salad with what I ate of my dinner and it was still coming up. Other visits have been enjoyable. Our waitress Sarah was wonderful. But whoever the kitchen staff is now really really really needs to be fired by far. Update I get home and I'm still spitting out the taste of the questionably fishy meal and still will be for several hours. We have resolved to not come back again to this restaurant. Never again. This place sucks we were definitely better off going to the bar next door. Plus we still wound up paying for a meal I couldn't even enjoy at all. Never again.

We went there today after our friends funeral. Her husband booked it so we could have lunch. We had Italian food. It was really good. They don't open until 4:00pm. Very nice atmosphere. I would go there again. We aren't from that area. So it was new to us. It was a comfortable environment.

I have been a patron of this establishment for many years. This is the first time I ever had a problem with the food. There was an old food wrapper in my soup. The manager dismissed it as no big deal. Keep in mind I have worked in food service for many years and am a small business owner. So I understand customer satisfaction on both sides. The manager said I am sorry I can only give you a dollar off the bill, let's be clear I didn't ask or had any attitude towards her or the restaurant. When I told her that I can no longer come there based on garage in the soup and lack of attention to detail. She said I don't know what you want me to do yet she manages a restaurant with 20 employees. With that said I will never go there again. If you dare to risk yourself to make sure there is no garage from the kitchen. This can't be the first and last time this has happened. I am a royal oak resident

Food was Amazing! Service was good! We were lucky to come just before the big dinner crowd! The parking lot was full and so was the entry way! Sure sign of excellence! Even our 3 year old cleaned his plate!

Yelp
Pasquales, IMO Best Pizza in Michigan! I'm SO SAD this place closed for good! I will dearly miss your deep dish pizza, soft bread sticks and rolls, antipasto salad and cannolis!!! Thank you for 35 years of great memories!!!!

Yelp
I wanted to come before this place closed (they are closing the business within a week or two). Unfortunately, I can see why they are closing. My guest and I arrived 15 minutes prior to the dining room being opened. We didn't know they opened at 4. The waitress told us to sit in the lobby. The manager came out minutes later, sitting us in the dining room. There was no reason she couldn't have sat us there, and she should have. The place serves Pepsi products, which to me is always a sign of trouble to come. My guest and I ordered an appetizer and 3 pizzas. The older waitress didn't seem to be confused, but when our order came we were brought only 2 pizzas. She was somehow confused that 2 of the 3 ordered pizzas were identical. Oh well. The pizzas themselves were nothing spectacular. I've certainly had much worse, but they are nowhere good enough to go more than a block out of the way for. If I lived within walking distance I would come here, but since I don't I wouldn't. The entire ambience and staff on hand were simply...antiquated. Old and outmoded, lacking enthusiasm and pizzazz. At one time this may have been a great place to come, but I fear that was easily 15+ years ago. Closing this place is a smart move. Without rebranding or restricting completely this place couldn't have lasted much longer based on my visit. There is no shame in retiring, and I'm happy to hear that this is what is happening here for many involved with Pasquale's, both for the workers & owners and for the community, which needs to stay vibrant with new businesses.

Yelp
Ok fine, I get it. It's one of those joints where your uncle and grand parents went to and kept going to for the longest time. It's decent, cheap italian dining. I was invited to a sizable work gathering. At first the service was a bit non-existent. We sat down, we didnt even get waters or anything. Then we asked for waters so we have something to drink while the rest of the party arrives. The server came, dropped the water off and then disappeared again. No, "are you guys still doing ok?" Or "did anybody want to put an order in while waiting for everyone to arrive?" So... let's fast forward to when the service came. Let's start with the Italian Wedding Soup which was phenomenal. I could eat this all the time. So much flavor and texture, it's totally a happy experience in your mouth. My husbands Meat Ravioli was really really well rounded. I totally enjoyed my half of the dish. Then I went with the basics, Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs. Listen,, I'm from #NorthJersey and I lived, breathed italian food at one point in my life. And this dish is a winner! Maybe a bit overkill on the mozzarella, but I take it that's how they've served it for decades on these very table. So why eff a good thing up right? To tell you the truth I am impressed by the caliber of food that are coming out of the kitchen. I would totally smash here again. Although we still had the issue with the service. But the service recovery with the garlic bread was a winner. You guys deserve a 4 star. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

Yelp
This place has been here since I could remember. Previous went here for a friend's baby shower held downstairs. Today, we went there for a get together with friends. My husband and I got there late so they had already gotten seated. We were probably a half olhour late and the table had ot gotten any drinks or water. It was only after 15 minutes of us being there that we got water. That was not the only problem with the service. Took the waitress forever to get our drink order and someone from our table had to get us menus. But enough about the bad service you get. The real thing you are reading this for is the food. And as much I wanted to hate this place and give them a one stair, the place had good food. The bread is amazing, with the garlic and butter on it. You will be pleased with the food and will make your horrible service experience all worth it.

Yelp
Went here October 7th after Zoo Boo. It was our first time and most likely last since it has been announced the owners were looking to sell. The place was packed! Our waitress was slammed but competent and kept our table refreshed as needed. The wife and I decided to try the pizza and it was great. Simple pepperoni/cheese/artichoke combo. We loved it. The calamari was pretty damn good too. Thick cut. Tasty breading. Didn't see much of the restaurant, but it seemed ok. Too bad it's closing. Any business that can survive this long is a testament.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years and decided to go back for some good Italian food. First and foremost this place has not changed in about 30 years. The restaurant is a little on the dirty side but I personally had no issues. Decor and interior is dated but of course that has nothing to do with the quality of food :) My husband and I were seated right away and the server greeted us as soon as we sat down. I ordered a medium pizza with mushrooms and my husband ordered gnocchi alla vodka. His dish came with a side salad, so he asked to get a side anitpasto salad. The server informed us there is an upcharge but never stated the amount (our bill reflected a $3.00 upcharge for this. That is ridiculous considering how small the salad is). Breadsticks are incredible - salty and buttery. My pizza was out of this world. The sauce is a sweet tomato sauce and the mushrooms were done so perfectly. The pizza was thin enough to eat alot, but thick enough to have some substance. The gnocchi alla vodka was good, but the gnocchi was not al dente. They did add way too much vodka sauce which was very think so you could barely even see the gnocchi. We had a good experience and I will for sure come back.

Yelp
Missed the mark for me. Ate there a few nights ago. I will not be returning until they get a new chef. I had the plain spaghetti with meatballs, was bland and boring and barely had enough sauce. The salad was drowning in their home-spun Italian dressing, couldn't eat it, it was that saturated. My BF had the spinach artichoke, was really lack luster, much better at Duggan's and the Caesar salad left much to be desired, much better Italian food at Boodle's to me.

Yelp
I don't quite understand why this place doesn't have a higher rating. I've been a regular for twenty years. The food is fantastic. My favorite dish is special baked cheese ravioli. Also, they have a pastry chef and awesome desserts. My all-time favorite is the chocolate mousse. My husband adores the browns special pizza. This is a family business that has graced Royal Oak since the 50's. A few years ago it shut the doors to lunch. My guess due to all of the competition food wise in Royal Oak. Yes, this place is outdated especially the pink 80's room but don't let that fool you. The food in my book is award winning. This place is huge. The only time I've had to wait is during the dream cruise. Ps. We always ask for Corey. He's an excellent waiter. The food has brought generations of my husband's family in and now our kids adore it.

Yelp
A friend of mine loves Pasquale's pizza and wanted to have dinner there before they close this Sunday April 7th. They currently aren't taking reservations due to the upcoming closure and are also consequently very busy. There was an hour estimated wait which turned out to be more like 45 minutes. It's located off Woodward across the street from Redcoat Tavern with a very large parking lot. Sad that it's closing since it's been in business since 1954. It has an old family owned Italian kitchen vibe. They have lots of pasta dishes including gnocchi, ravioli, lasagna, chicken parmesan, and their famous baked spaghetti. Most pasta dishes are $12 - $17. The baked spaghetti is $13.50 and does not come with any meatballs. If you choose to add meatballs, it's $2.25 extra for each meatball which can get pricey. Pizzas are either original or deep dish and are around $17.50 for a large before toppings. Two friends and I shared a deep dish large pizza with half pepperoni and mushroom and the other half pepperoni and sausage. I really liked the deep dish style pizza with the traditional greasy crispy crunchy pan crust. The pizza also had the perfect cheese to sauce ratio. The sausage was a little weird though. It was not very spicy and was ground up and was more like hamburger meat. Not what I would expect from sausage on pizza. Otherwise the pizza was super tasty. A large pizza was cut into 12 slices and was plenty for 3 people, although some slices were cut very thin. The pizza was only about $22, so only around $7 per person, a great value. Another friend and her boyfriend ordered the gnocchi and a medium pizza to split. The gnocchi did not come with soup or salad which I thought was strange since most Italian restaurants offer a choice of soup or salad with entree. Pasta dishes at Pasquale's usually come with breadsticks but they were out. I've heard the breadsticks are very good though. My friend said the sauce was kind of bland on the gnocchi and not as flavorful as it used to be. A couple of my friends have a pasta vs. pizza debate as to which is better and it seems like pizza was the clear winner. The cannolis looked amazing and were only $2.50 a piece. Service was very warm and friendly but not very attentive. Our server was super nice but never checked back on us. I ordered a soda and I had to hunt her down for refills or else I would never of had one. She easily spit the checks and made change for us though. It's definitely worth checking out before they close on Sunday. Prepare for a bit of a wait and order a deep dish pizza while you still can.

Trai W.

Yelp
I've been here a few times for the deep dish pizza which is awesome. This time I went I tried the lasagna and I must say it was very tasty. The sauce was very flavorful and it was so cheesy! I would say the best you can get on that side of town.

Misha C.

Yelp
Still really good pockets of gooey muddy meat with absolutely no significant taste, really hits the bland spot. Tastes like chef boyardee, the almost adult version: im talking about the giant sunflower raviolis btw. The pizza was not too impressive but I still givr you four stars out of love and incredibly attentive service. Bravo!

S T.

Yelp
The salad was OUTSTANDING because the dressing was perfection and the unusual (in a good way) sized toppings on a lettuce bed. The table bread was soooooo good. Buttery and salty deliciousness. Two Guinness were ordered one came to the table in a goblet. None of the six in my party had ever seen or received a Goblet of Guinness! Additional point assessed. The service was middle of the road.

Yelp
My husband and I came here the beginning of October for date night because Red Coat across the street had a really long wait. My husbands family has been coming here for years because they enjoy the pizza. Well, I'm up for trying any pizza! We ordered an antipasto salad, and a large pizza with pepperoni, onion & sausage. The bread they brought was perfect. Not too greasy like some reviews mention and not cold. It was hot, fresh, and just the right amount of garlic! It's hard to say no to that bread basket.. I'm a fan of the pizza & bread, but not the salad. The salad came out only a few minutes before our pizza and it was nothing special. I feel like it was more of a pre-made dinner salad that had just been sitting around until someone ordered it. The place was not too busy.. we were seated right away and our server was excellent. The salad had hardly any meats and the lettuce did not look fresh. We had enough pizza to take leftovers home and a few slices of bread. Sad to say the salad was a waste or money & a disappointment. We would order pizza from here again, but we will not be making a special trip here anytime soon.

Yelp
Invited to go out with a group of 7, I mean 8 other folks around 8 in the evening to come here. It was around the corner from where we had been and I have to admit that I've been curious about this place after passing it numerous times. It's conveniently located just north of 13 Mile road near a convenient uturn. The parking lot is huge! You could throw a party in it, probably comes way in handy for the dream cruise. Restaurant is big, splitting into sections on the right and left. It was Tuesday, not a lot of folks, accommodated us quickly. Server was polite, responsive, came to get our drink orders quickly. Sparsely decorated expect for middle section, clean, colorful, with and "older" set of tunes in the background. (Monkeys, Beatles, Neil Diamond.) Everything was pretty efficiently delivered. Piping hot buttered and garlic bread and entrees. HUGE entrees. Ask before you order- small may mean large in Italian. I ordered the baked spaghetti and ravioli dinner. 3 extremely healthy meat raviolis and spaghetti with red sauce, mushrooms, and meat. Red sauce is sweeter, lots of flavor. Only ate half (and salad came also with meal). Small pizza was enough easily for two, small antipasto- definitely enough for two. Full bar, beer and wine. Solid and tasty- nothing fancy here.

Brittany B.

Yelp
Food was pretty good but service was interesting... they were training and had an issue with it taking quite a while for food to come out. And when it did, it wasn't all correct. Granted we did have a party of ten, but we were one of four tables and the other tables were parties of four or less. Two of us ordered the exact same meal and they didn't arrive the same. If anything, those two meals should have had the same mistakes. Anywho... Food was pretty good once it did arrive. Tip: they charge an extra $1.50 for bleu cheese dressing and the dressing isn't anything special... go for the Italian, it's not half bad.

Mylo R.

Yelp
They had the best Alfredo I've ever had & Garlic bread we went their last day of business can believe I've never been to there the food was delicious.

Robert S.

Yelp
Thanks for the memories. Closing April 7th. It's not as good as it was 40 years ago but I still enjoy a Bolo of your favorite beer and a pizza. This has been a meeting place for my friends and myself for a long time.

Erika S.

Yelp
This biggest Italian & pizza place didn't change even a thing through 80's to 2002. Fantastic service with courtesy workers! Foods didn't improve at all it need to updating for more flavors and taste like fresh. FYI the the bread was too greasy... very overpriced... As for sure when we are in town we will try come back if it gets reduce for costs or improve for better menu.. cheers!

C S.

Yelp
Pasquale's is a solid place. Good service, good food, great location and decent prices. Love this place really makes me feel like I'm home.

Tamara Y.

Yelp
Excellent, excellent hot bread. It it greasy? A bit. Is it garlicy? Yep. Is it delicious? Double yep. You could make an entire meal out of the bread. Ok, maybe you'd need red wine to wash it down with. The salad is nothing to write home about. I am a big fan of the linguine and white clam sauce. I order it nearly every time I go. It has a generous amount of clams and the sauce is simply fantastic. One bennie to this place is that you can generally seat a large group on short notice without breaking the bank. The service is generally pretty good. There are also hoards of roaming busboys, so the tables are cleared promptly.

Rebecca R.

Yelp
I used to really love this place. I still like it and will continue to get baked spaghetti and tiramisu. Last night I strayed from that and was left feeling kind of blah about my experience. We were a parry of four on Saturday anout 6:30. We were seated right away! The staff was really friendly and attentive for the most part. The place looked clean and cared for as usual. We started with fried zucchini that was so good we ordered a second one! The warm bread, soup and salads came out. The bread was nice and you could taste the garlic. One friend ordered a Caesar and didn't like the nuts that came on it and said the dressing lacked any flavor. The Italian wedding soup was good! For entrees we had cheese pizza, backed spaghetti with Alfredo instead of meat sauce, chicken parmesan and cannelloni. The pizza and baked spaghetti had no complaints. The person who ordered cannelloni didn't like it and said it was like meatloaf inside pasta. I tasted it and liked it though. The chicken parmesan was a little dry and kind of salty. My favorite thing has always been the baked spaghetti with meat sauce. I don't think I'll do any menu exploring from now on but I'll be back again.

Yelp
I had been here before many years ago, came back today because my dad had a $20 off coupon for his birthday since he's in their email club (great deal!). We got a Greek salad (parents ate that, I'm not a salad person) which came with delicious breadsticks, and a large deep dish pizza with Italian sausage and mushrooms. The pizza was HUGE and the deep dish is the same price as the non-deep dish, so you may as well go for it. Food was fantastic and I would definitely come back just for that. Service was a little slow (was constantly waiting for water glass to be refilled) and the restaurant has kind of an odd set-up where I always had to wait by corners for people to come and go while walking to/from the restroom, otherwise this place would get 5/5 stars from me.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Nothing fancy with Pasquale's but it still has a place in my life for a variety of reasons. First, you cannot overlook the sheer size of this place. If you have to wait, I cannot imagine it would be long. I have never had to wait. Second, they actually have a pretty good bar and a variety of good micro-brew. They also have a solid wine selection. Lastly, in terms of food, while it is nothing fancy and certainly mostly forgettable, they do some things really well. The pizza is REALLY good. I recommend the deep dish but the regular will make you happy too. The cheese ravioli with meat sauce is also good. The large antipasto salad (for 3-4) is a masterpiece. One word of caution; the bread basket is very good and, if you cannot exercise some level of discipline, will ruin your appetite. Pasquale's has been in business for over 60 years and it feels like it. Modern would not be an adjective I would use to describe this place. It is definitely NOT a date night out joint at this point. However, if a solid family restaurant that you can almost always just walk into and serves good drink and food is your thing, I wouldn't hesitate recommending Pasquale's. Oh, they also have a banquet area downstairs and can also accommodate large groups in the main dining area.

Alex M.

Yelp
The garlic bread sticks get a star on its own but otherwise my last visit to Pasquales was sub par. The waitress was new so the bad experience, in my opinion, reflects more on the restaurant and not on her ability to serve. It was immediately apparent that someone should have been training her when was unable to answer our questions about the menu. There was a mix up with a soup order and my entree. They brought out chicken parm when I ordered the boneless garlic chicken. The Garlic Chicken was very bland. The waitress accidentally made contact with the lens of my boyfriends glasses with a serving tray which we laughed off. She was very apologetic for each issue. I feel i must reiterate, the garlic bread sticks earn a star all on their own.

Anita P.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner. I had baked ravioli and it was so good. My daughter had the salmon and said it was so good. Her boyfriend had the spaghetti and said best restaurant sauce. Waiter was very nice and attentive. This was our first time there and we will go back for sure!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
The worst experience I have ever had here ! I just left Pasquales after being there 1 1/2 hours without having any dinner. My sister and I each ordered a small pizza. Her pizza was served and I sat and waited a half hour until the waitress Linda came to the table. Linda explained that my pizza was made wrong so a new pizza was being made. Another 30 minutes later the new pizza came out with salami slices on it that I did t order and some of the items I had originally ordered. The manager came over and offered her apologies and a "new" pizza was going to be made. With that said the "new" pizza was brought to the table in a pizza box with a bill for my pizza. Shocked at receiving a bill I looked in the pizza box. I find what looked like one of my previous pizzas that went back to the kitchen, except someone tried to fill in the missing slice with a part of an old slice missing the crust. Once again, the pizza had salami slices peeking out from the cheese. It could not have been any stranger or disappointing. For years I've eaten at Pasquales but I will never go there again I certainly can't recommend it to anyone since you never know what can happen in their kitchen.

Morgan A.

Yelp
This place is alright. Stopped in here the other weekend for a late lunch. Very old place, could use a little updating. We were sat right away, decent beer selection. Our waiter was very nice. The food was okay, just okay. It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. I don't know if I will run to go back here, but if there was no where else to eat, I would stop here. Over all, it was just okay.

Irwin F.

Yelp
Epic disappointment. It reminds me of bad camp food during the 1980s. It's gotta be all reheated GFS food. I am not sure what happened but the food WAS good years ago. On top of all of that, it is WICKED EXPENSIVE. For the prices they charge, you could go to a nice Italian place a bit north of hear. Very sad. I hope they clean it up.

Bill M.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Pasquales tonight, May 22. We were escorted to a table and given menus, that was the last contact we had with the staff. 5 pm, the bar area was virtually deserted, only 2 other couples there. We sat there for 15 minutes and left in disgust. We will not be returning, There are way too many good spots on Woodward and in Royal Oak and Birmingham to put up with an insult like that. The much busier Red Coat Tavern across the street was thrilled to have our business. They got some grins over our Pasquales experience.

Nastassja K.

Yelp
A family member had her rehearsal dinner here in October 2017. Everyone was disappointed. The room they gave us was crowded. The service was slow as there was only one waitress for our group of over 20 people. We waited a long time just to get our waters (why wasn't it already on the table before we got there?). The food was not great. Then to top it off, we were told we weren't allowed to take leftovers home. I'm sorry, what?! She paid for the food and it was just sitting on our table, family style platters that we had already dug into. Were they planning to serve it to someone else or something? I was the one who suggested Pasquale's because I knew they had private rooms and I feel terrible about it!

Cassie N.

Yelp
I don't want to leave this review as my husband inexplicably loves this restaurant, I think from when he was a kid who rarely got to eat out with his big family. Anyway, the reason I am leaving it is because I would like the owners to read it in case they are wondering why their longstanding business is in slow decline. I'm guessing kids are in charge or maybe it has new owners but basically, they make it clear that they don't care about your business AT ALL: 1) We go there so often and for so many big family events year after year and they've never once remembered us, or welcomed us or made us feel special for our many years of continued loyalty. Ever!?! It's astonishing. 2) Our last big birthday dinner...not even one candle. A smile from the server might also be appreciated. Oh btw, did I mention that they charged us for the slice of bday cake. 3) Had to send back an undercooked, terrible looking fish dish, no apology for serving us an embarrassing mess. Basically, when your food is mediocre, your decor from 1977 and the only thing keeping your doors open is nostalgia, treat your few repeat customers like they matter and train your employees to go beyond the bare, sad minimum. Basically, learn a 30-year repeat customer's family name, learn to smile, and freaking buy some candles!! The non-existent manager should be out of work. If it were up to me, we'd never darken your depressing doors again.

Yelp
It is Xmas Eve and it was busy. We had a party of 8 with an infant. One of our dinners was forgotten the rest were delivered one by one over a span of 20-30 minutes. Our waitress complained she was assigned to tables all over the restaurant. Had a hard time getting drink refills and our waitress was missing for 30 minutes while we were waiting for the final dinner. Won't go back and can't recommend-which is a shame. I really use to like this place.

Eli M.

Yelp
Gross. Glad they are closing they should be shut down. Served me spoiled meat they use the same meat in pretty much everything my cannelloni had it and tasted fishy I had to ask if it had anchovies in it when the server said No I knew it was spoiled. Same meat in the ravioli my girlfriend got with the spaghetti as one dish. She was starving so she ate the spaghetti and left the ravioli alone with the turnt meat in it. Most bland sauce I have ever tasted. How do you mess up spaghetti sauce??? No seasoning no garlic no onion. Seriously the cheapest can of Walmart brand sauce is better than what they are putting on pasta in this place. And the menu is in Italian! About as PURE MICHIGAN as it gets. What a joke. Bad service. All this and the place was freaking PACKED! Line out the door! 15-30 minute wait! Cannot believe it! Truly bad food.

Yelp

Yelp
Definitely not worth the $. Paid an extra $3.50 for breadsticks, which you get for free when you dine in, and they forgot them. Ordered minestrone soup which is $6.50 and couldn't even take more than a couple bites because it tasted like they poured a cup of salt in there, yuck. The food was not very edible to say the least. When I called to complain about it, the person on the phone couldn't have cared less. Won't be returning.

Yelp
We went to Pasquale's on New Year's Eve, and it was super busy. The hostess told us it would be about 30 minutes until we'd be seated, but luckily we only really waited about 5 minutes for a table. Our server was nice, but I think he was overwhelmed. We waited a while to order, and we also waited some time for our food. Our salads were pretty much just lettuce with dressing, but that ranch is fantastic! I think the gnocchi is so tasty, and as I end up taking most of it home, so I get 1-3 meals out of it.

Yelp
Hi what they need is to get some waiters and waitresses that actually clean up the table after you eat! And after dinner they should also ask about dessert we went there last night was not pleasant dining there never again

Yelp
This place has great pizza and friendly service. It has a convenient location right on Woodward. Also try the antipasto salad and breadsticks.

Yelp
Goodbye old friend. Once upon a time you were the best Italian restaurant and we'd come miles to eat there. Something happened. Did Nonna pass away? Because it really went downhill fast. We came back for the last week and we were so disappointed that we should have just passed. The kids had alfredo. One was thick as thick can be with so much parm it was hard to eat. The other was a huge portion with hardly any sauce. I had the tubes of pasta with mystery meat which I lost on the way home on the side of the street. Like a previous poster said, the meat was bad. They had no raspberry cake, no garlic bread. Honestly, if you weren't going to put your best on for the last couple weeks, you should have just closed. When I came up from the bathroom I heard the owners yucking it up that they only had a few days left. Sad.

Yelp
Pasquales why? A long time ago this was a very acceptable average place to get pizza or salad. The draw back in the day were bread sticks. There some issues not too far back and they either closed or were going to close...Anyway, they are open. Maybe they shouldn't be. This place is beyond awful. One of the worst most meals I've attempted to eat. We arrived for early dinner and the place is pretty empty. We were greeted immediately by the friendly host...Yup might be ok..... The waiter comes over gets our drinks as we look over the menu, not rude or friendly - either looks like he is very busy or maybe we smell bad. I order a Chicken Parmesan and Jess B orders Eggplant Parmesan. We get salad or soup and two side consisting of pasta, potato, or vegetables. The food soup (Italian wedding) and salad are standard items and are ok. The main course comes out too fast. My chicken is burnt with heavily sauce and cheese to hide it. It's beyond salty and after two bites, I'm done...no box needed. The baked potato, which I didn't eat might be the only credible thing about my meal as it has tin foil so I know it isn't microwaved. Jess B's meal on the other hand is one of the oddest and grossest looking things I've ever seen. The color of the heavily coated eggplant is black and gray. She takes one bite and doesn't look happy. She give me a small bite, I'm not sure why because she knows it's awful but I try it and it is so awful. She just eats the potato. The waiter walks over with a "how is everything?" pointing to each item I say " ok, bad, bad, gross". We ask if the eggplant it frozen, which you can tell it is. He says we make it in house. That doesn't mean it was made then frozen then reheated. It is all breading and thin line of black and gray. He goes back and forth with us on the meal. I said that we will pay and we don't want any boxes. He finally comes back and has taken her food off the bill. I left a nice tip because that is what you should do but the overall meal gets votes for worst of the year. The bread sticks are still decent but it's not enough to make you want to come back. Overall, we wasted 25 dollars and had to go elsewhere for a meal.

Yelp
I live close, so when I am late from work and still hungry sometime I forgot why I neglect this place.. They have good pizza, I will give them that, it's pizza, not over priced and available quickly.. But the 5 times I have came into eat and ordered anything other than pizza or breadsticks I am disappointed. I'd prefer an exotic dance emporium to this food... Would be better for the neighborhood.

Yelp
We hadn't been here in a couple years- if they have a new cook they need to go get the old one back. The bread was greasy- extra greasy The lettuce was bitter so I didn't finish my Caesar salad But the worst was the grossest carbonara I've ever had- it looked like just a plate of thick soup like sauce- the radio was too much sauce and not enough noodle- the taste bland- thank goodness for the occasional bite of bacon-the chunks of chicken tasted like it had been poached and thrown in- I didn't finish it- It may be awhile before we return, which is too bad because it was one of my fave places

Yelp
I came here a fair amount when I was younger and we were living closer. The pizza has always been fantastic, and I tried a lot of Italian dishes for the first time here. Took my people there for our rehearsal dinner a couple years ago as well, and everyone left happy.

Yelp
My brother hit the Woodward cruise every year and our #1 stop is Pasquales every year, not next year though. Yesterday we ordered a large pie with 2x pepperoni and Italian sausage well done. It was not even close to done, we counted 9 pepperoni's on the pizza and all the toppings were thrown in the middle of the pizza, hap-hazard prep and joke of what used to be good pizza. No wonder on the busiest night of the entire year with 300,000 people walking by the front door we walked right in and took our choice of 10 tables that were open 7:00 PM prime time looks like poor quality and subpar delivery of what used to be a good product. Terrible, i guess we try Crispellis from here on in. Too bad.

Yelp
Went on a Tuesday... No wait.... Our waitress was being trained by another.... She was so good.... My first time here.. I had the cheesey garlic bread... It was really good... My friend had the deep dish... It looked amazing. Friendly staff.. Clean... I will definitely be back!

Yelp
One star is for 8 dollars coffee - highlight of the day. There were fantastic mix of rum, amaretto and coffee - treat of internal sunshine on rainy day. The rest: pathetic eggplant Parmigana without taste of eggplant and overabundance of tasteless marinara that makes you wish they just used "Hunts" cans. But wait, to my spouse's, here is my addition. Veal Scallopini - pretty nasty white pieces, tasting like wet and slightly salted bread cuts and nothing like veal or any resemblance of a lightly breaded delicious, Marsala tasting, veal meat medallions. Very discouraging and surprisingly bland meal. I regret (and I know that comparison is not fear to Piada) but being fast/street food I wish I went there. Be twice cheaper and 5 times better. What fresh food really tastes like is not here... too bad.

Yelp
My first and last time at this restaurant, I was extremely disappointed in the food, service was great, food was very poor quality and no flavor, my husband had the veal parm, it was veal patties deep fried and when I say deep fried omg, I had the veal Scaloppini, mushrooms just thrown on the dish with the sauce on top, the sauce is not even home made it must be from a can, if it's home made than the owners needs to get a new cook. The bruschetta disappointing as well. From someone who grew up with NJ Italians, I do not consider this Italian food at all.
