Pasquini's Fine Italian Food

Pasquini’s is some of the best food and service, we have ever had in our lives! Everything was cooked to perfection! The staff is super attentive and the place was popping busy! We ate there two days in a row and got to try lots of different items off the menu! The food is out of this world; with so many ingredients fresh from their garden on site and handmade everything! We got a recipe card and some oil and vinegar to take home some of the tastes of this fine establishment! The restaurant comes with a rich history and rich food and friendships! We highly recommend y’all visit this place and enjoy the food and atmosphere! Easy access right off the 99 and there was even parking for our motorhome, that we travel the US full time in! Thank you Chef Angelo and staff! 11 out of ten stars! We will be back!

We came here for a date night, it was a good experience. Great service and great drink recommendations by our server. We had a veal pasta and lasagna, they were both really good. We started with the calamari, before the meal a Ceasar salad, and bread with oil with balsamic vinegar for the table which were all very good, the bread was perfectly warm. Overall we had a great time.

Great food and busy atmosphere. If you love a good Italian place with a buzz, check out Pasquini's. I go a couple times a year and always leave happy. I recommend the Steak John and the Tagliatelle. Avoid the Lasagna at all costs. It isn't lasagna. We never go on nights with Lasagna, so we decided to try it. Instant regret. Its not lasagna. Its a weird layering of noodles and whipped ricotta with pasta sauce on the side. Probably the worst Lasagna I have had in my life. If you are reading this Pasquini family, change the name of that dish or remove it from the menu. There a lots of ways to make a good Lasagna, that isn't one of them.

Once you walk in the door you can tell your in a very old restaurant with a back in the day style. The food was hot but there was no baked potato that I could see on the menu. I had a nicely sized filet magnon sitting on top of some buttery mashed potatoes. The prices are high just like you would find at a Ruth Chris steak house but without the white table cloth or fine dining ware. The only thing I would like to see is a colder salad plate and fork, mine was just room temperature and so was the salad.

I have been coming to Pasquinis since I was a little girl. The nostalgia is unbeatable. I love this place. You sit down and are immediately served bread with an amazing olive oil basalmic dipping sauce (they also share the recipe!) Dinner is always tasty. I order the chicken piccata and my husband and I pretty much lick the plate after.

Had reservations and still took 5 mins for them to even speak to us. Once seated again took awhile for the bread and water. Then waitress came and took our drink order and appetizers order. One drink came appetizers came but my drink did not. Had to ask for it. Finally ordered and was really not impressed at all when my food came, it was luke warm. I didn't want to ask them to heat it, who knows how long that would have taken. Spent over 2 hours there, that's a long time for dinner for 2 people.

Pasquini’s is always a good choice. The food is great, the service is always good and it’s a comfortable atmosphere. The bread they bring out was good. I got the ribeye which was a good cut of meat that was seasoned well with a nice seared crust. My wife got a pork chop that she was very happy with. The dessert was very good, I definitely recommend the bread pudding.

Staff is great; enjoyed the bar for a couple drinks and small bites. Want to go back and eat in the dining room.

I gave your restaurant another chance. The Steak John was excellent on my first visit, even though the pasta was dry, so I returned. This last visit was disappointing. The ragu was watery, the Alfredo tasted like it came from a jar, and the pasta and sauces showed no pride or care. Our server didn't ask about dessert, and when we bought a mud pie for a couple celebrating their 65th anniversary, the server never told them it was from us. The steak, Caesar salad, and bread are great, but the pastas are terrible. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I wish you the best

We stop at Pasquini's on our way from Sac regularly. Sitting at the bar to eat. It's a Sac Valley legend, Italian fair & steaks & service is great. They have a banquet room upstairs for private parties too. Everything on the menu is great.

Pasquini's was highly recommended to my husband and I when we moved to Yuba City a year ago so we had to try it. We weren't disappointed! Cute little place with great food and friendly service. We added this one to our list of "go to" restaurants!

We arrived at about 7 on Saturday night. It was crowded and noisy. There was a large party behind us who were making it difficult for the four of us to have a conversation. The service was pretty good considering the crowd. The portions were plentiful. All of us had food to take home. The lasagna ordered by two of us needed more Bolognese sauce. The restrooms are not adequate for that large capacity restaurant. I probably will not return on a weekend evening.

What we got: Food 4/5 -Calamari 4/5 *Great balance of salt with a flavorful seasoning. Immediately addictive. It's a good quantity as well! -Battered Prawns (Lotus Inn Prawns) 4/5 *Came out hot hot hot so be careful not to rush eat this lest you burn your tongue. Quite the fluffy batter, decent flavor, kind of tended to fall apart when taking partial bites and when dipping it. Nice acidic balance provided by the cocktail sauce. The prawns inside are also huge! Perfectly cooked, satisfyingly juicy and tender. -Mozzarella Sticks 3.5/5 *Stringy, melty cheese, and very much enhanced with the garlic parm topping. Would've preferred less oil (was dripping with every bite). Sauce was a bit bland. -Spaghetti Alfredo 3.5/5 *Very creamy, kind of one note. Decided upon 2 prawns which were also perfectly cooked with regard to texture, had the right amount of tenderness - bit more on the salty side though. Service 4.5/5 -Our main server Sam had cool, down-to-earth vibes that made for a very comfortable experience! Attentive and quick with cleaning/making room on the table and checked in with us often despite there being quite the crowd. Also did a really nice thing decorating a cake for us complete with a candle and everything upon request. Ambiance/Design 4/5 -Large main room, some booths against the walls, lots of tables. Not too much space with how full the place gets but it is lively with good vibes, being an old Yuba staple where lots of locals are regulars. Well kept despite it being an older restaurant that's been around for quite a long time. Old school design with lots of historic and parochial decor. Definitely nice to have a booth spot where we were fortunate enough to get seated at. Overall would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who's looking for a quality, local Yuba dining experience! As a non-local, this is a spot I'd keep in mind to take family and friends to when I come back up to Yuba to visit.

The calamari steaks are amazing, and the bread and the dip is delicious too. The servers are very friendly and helpful.

Busy restaurant! The food was good, and service was good. The restaurant gets very busy,so be sure to make reservations ahead of time! We were a party of 9,and they told my sister definitely don't come without reservations, because you'll probably be turned away if you don't have reservations! I had the Prime Rib and it was delicious!

Very loud crowded restraunt but great prices, great service and yummy appetizers, pasta dishes were okay, don't recommend Alfredo.

Food took a long time, I had the Ragu spaghetti the sauce tasted burnt and the meal was cold. Our servers were great

Everything was awesome flavorful hot and ready starting with the appetizer mozzarella and crab balls only issue was the super sweet sauce but the spicy sauce with crab balls made up for it completely. Main courses were super delicious i had steak ms. Had chicken both were extremely well prepared and delivered hot Desserts options were vast but we went with bread pudding not sweet but simple those with a sweet tooth will probably not like us people with sugar issues loved it . Service was excellent prompt and on point she even had a big load to handle as we were there a long time . The environment was nice not a big place to begin with but they handled it well . We will definitely return asap and bring family this time as this was a lovely experience

Came to Pasquini's for the first time after telling myself I'd try it one day. Entree wise, we tried the Spaghetti with marinara and the Cheese Ravioli with marinara and Alfredo. I also got a side of sautéed mushrooms. I liked the food in the sense that it was simple and not too salty. Sauces were perfect! I also really enjoyed the crispy garlic bread. For dessert, we got the tiramisu. It was pretty decent, although I have tried better elsewhere and wish the portion was larger for the price.

My mom drove from Roseville to Live Oak and I drove from Chico to celebrate Mother's Day. Unfortunately, I confused the reservation hour so we had to sit in the incredibly noisy bar area. The service was quick enough, but I could barely hear my mom. She wears hearing aides so she was really struggling. Food: 1. bread with olive oil and balsamic oil-- superb! 2. Shrimp scampi--It was served in a bowl with (not included in the price/$26. Plate) thick spaghetti noodles and olive oil. We asked for angel hair pasta. There was no evidence of wine or butter and no taste of garlic. I kept thinking how much better the Olive Garden's Scampi is! 3. The blackberry cheesecake was very thin for $8.00. However, it was incredibly delicious. I haven't been to Pasquini's in 30 years. I remember the food melting in my mouth. I always wanted to go back and eat there. Now that it's under new management, I honestly can't say I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Delicious food! We had a large party (10), and they were awesome! We had appetizers, alcohol, dinner and dessert and the price was decent!! I can't wait to go back and get those steak John bites and dipping sauce again!! We all got different items and there was a lot of sharing going on and was all very good!

Great atmosphere and the food and wine was delicious! Get there early before he crowd fills this place up!

Definitely a one of a kind and unique restaurant and bar just a few miles north of Yuba City/Marysville. It's worth the drive from Sacramento in the south or Chico from the north. Each about 45 miles away. The bartenders are friendly and attentive even to "out of towners". It's obvious once you walk in that it's a locals hangout but I never felt out of place or isolated. That's because the staff treats everyone like a local and the locals are friendly and considerate. The menu is amazing. From pasta to ribeye, salads and deserts. I went twice to have different things on the menu (pasta and steak) and I wasn't disappointed. Like all classy Italian eateries, freshly baked bread with plenty of olive oil and vinegar are the pre meal appetizer. Be prepared, this restaurant is a trip back in time to an old school family style restaurant with a great menu, friendly and attentive staff but contemporary menu items and updated decor. There's also a lot of interesting history on the walls told in the form of pictures depicting the roots of the restaurant and the Ag based surrounding area.

I've been coming to this great restaurant since Benny was here. I have always been a fan, and last night was Exceptional! I had the special Pappardelle short rib pasta which I have eaten variations of, in many restaurants between here and Italy. They got everything right! Flavor, portion and preparation! Great job! And could you include it on the main menu please?

Definitely missing the "fine" in the restaurant's name.. we ordered a large order for our office. We gave them a heads up the day before and ordered early the day of. They not only kept delsting the expected ready time but they took way longer to get us our food than the expected time. Additionally, the final product they served us was subpar. For example, we tried to make sure our entire order was correct before we left, and they said there was no need to do that because they double and triple checked it. Turned out they were absolutely wrong. We were missing two shrimp scampi. Then when we noticed they were missing, we drove all the way back to pick up the missing items, only to get shrimp in a cup. (See picture) What a joke. I would not recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely not be back. This wasn't even an unreasonably large order. It was for about 12 people and they couldn't handle it. I would take my business elsewhere next time. Food was nothing amazing either. Might as well get a frozen dinner for the amount of hassle this was. Slight drop in food quality of what we got compared to the massive gain in convenience and avoidance of this headache..never again.

Very rare occasion, my wife and I got a babysitter and drove all the way from Oroville to eat for my 8 month pregnant wife's birthday on a Monday and we were turned away. No effort to fit us in to eat. Very disappointing!! I will never come back.

O this restaurant is kind of out of nowhere and easy to kiss if you don't look to your side while driving on 99. But either way, I knew about this place through family and friends. Made reservations for dinner, best thing to do for this very busy place. The wait for additional bread and dinner was a bit but the food was delicious. I got the shrimp scampi with pasta. Kids got spaghetti and Mac and cheese. We all got the garlic bread with it. Which I thought was a bit hard. The bread you get as a complimentary with olive oil, garlic and balsamic vinegar was soooo good and the bread was soft! My nephew got the lamb chops, he said they were really good. Overall, place was nice, plenty of parking, good food, casual atmosphere. Will go again. Oh and the mozzarella sticks, melts in your mouth. Def worth trying.

Ambiance is great, drinks incredible, food is mediocre at best and high priced, which unfortunately makes it bad. Service could do with some higher caliber individuals but overall will most definitely not be back. Disappointing considering I've been really wanting to come here for so long and the hype definitely did not live up. Save your money and go to Chico or Sacramento definitely a small town restaurant.

Food & service were great but don't ever seat me by the kitchen again please. Terrible 1st time patron experience for an anniversary dinner which we told them about!

We went day before Valentine's and from the service to the drinks to the food everything was SO delicious we can't remember last time we had such a wonderful meal ! So worth the charge and still had leftovers!! Definitely a wonderful place

Overall ... Mid. Service was nice, wine was good. Food was nothing special. If you're looking for authentic Italian food I would not recommend considering their price point is on the more expensive side and food is not that great.

Went there recently and the food was phenomenal. Not to mention that the service was excellent.

Wait 5 min for a table. That's the best part of the whole experience. Seated, over 10 minutes before we were offered water. Another 15 minutes before our server greeted us with NO apology for the delay. She was attentive to a table next to us. Practically ignored us. Another 15 min passes and we're asked if we are ready to order or need more time. Our menus had been closed for 15 min at least! Food took another 30 min. Chicken and veggies missing from my entree and our appetizer was forgotten. My dish was barely warm and sauce was dry like it had been sitting under the heat lamps too long. Water refill wasn't offered, had to get up and ask the hostess for a server. Spoke with the manager and she was kind, but overall it was a terrible experience. With 3 of my kids and my brother and sister in law in the service industry I know serving is a hard job, our server had to be deliberately terrible.

First time here after a lifetime of hearing about it. My mom and I for an early Saturday dinner; Couldn't get reservations through Open Table, decided showing up at opening at 4:30 would be our best bet. There was a sign in front of the door stating "reservations only tonight" and we almost turned around to leave before I decided to go in and ask, just to make sure. Turns out, there were some tables reserved for later in the evening and we could be seated at that opening time. Our table was in the bar, which was a little lackluster ambiance. Service was great, and the food was delicious- a pleasant surprise for the Yuba/Sutter area which is basically a barren wasteland food desert. The wine list is approachable but expansive for the size the menu. I was impressed with the local/regional selection. Mom is a Chardonnay, I'm a Zin and we both tried two different labels- both excellent. We ordered chicken and fish- with green beans, very fresh- seasoned and cooked perfectly and a small portion of potatoes, also tasty and complementary of the protein. I would totally go back and order the same things- Hopefully with reservations.

I can genuinely say I am sad to have to leave this as a review. I love the food from this restaurant, but the Customer Service is awful. I rarely come inside to eat in order for pick up instead. Consistently, they are never on time with any orders so I took that into consideration today. I placed an order at 2 PM to be ready at 4:45 PM knowing that it wouldn't be on time. I arrived at 5:25. 40 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. To be told that my order still hasn't even been made. I spent over $60 for food and gave them an extra 40 minutes to make my order. if this was a one time thing, it would be fine but it is every time I order. Again, the food is fabulous, but you guys really need to take into consideration other peoples time. This issue has prevented me from ordering for the past six months.

Always a positive experience! Service is friendly, the bread and oil/vinegar is to die for. The steak bites are a must. Food is quick. I highly recommend making a reservation prior to going Because they are always busy.

Amazing Italian food!!! Highly recommended restaurant!!! My wife's Italian so she's a little picky about our Italian food, we both thoroughly enjoyed all our food here!!! We had the Lasagna, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Calamari appetizer, and the Lotus Inn Prawns they were all spectacular!!!

We love the atmosphere and delicious food. You will love the steak John Brick chicken, spaghetti with spicy sauce or get 1/2 Alfredo and Your choice. You'll need a reservation for dinner. The bar is fun and they'll serve full menu in the bar. You won't be disappointed, trust me.

Tired and hungry from a long road trip. I was passing through. I had hope to sit down and relax a while, but they were completely booked. That is a good sign. As an Italian, I can be particular when it comes to Italian food. I ordered lasagna to go because there was no place to sit because of reservations. The only place to sit was the bar. The lasagna was very tasty because of the sauce. However, remember the question, "where is the beef?" That's how I felt about their lasagna. The pieces of ground beef were microscopic and few and far between. That was disappointing. The garlic bread that comes with the meal was fine. The Caesar salad was fine and i'm thankful they put the dressing on the side so that it wouldn't be soggy. I love the ice tea because it was strong, as it should be. I thought the restaurant ambience was beautiful and classy. I am disappointed that I didn't get to sit, dine and rest. The restaurant was very clean, which is important to me and says a lot. I would definitely go there again, but I would have to try something other than their lasagna. As I said, there was almost no meat. I don't like tons of cheese in between the layers of pasta like that. I'm thankful that the sauce was good and that I asked for extra.

Love the food and spaghetti sauce however the calamari has really gone down hill! They oughta get the recipe from the lady on Plumas who opened a new "City cafe" where they hand bread the calamari themselves vs. pull it out of a box!!!

Went here for my friends birthday and had a not so good time. There's was a fly in my bf salad the waitress pointed to her manager when we mentioned it and didn't apologize or anything. Staff here is super unprofessional and rude. They took my review down and I'm now putting it back up. Still upset. CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN ALREADY

I'm usually happy with this restaurant. Not tonight. Only reservation I could get was 4:30 or 7:30. I chose 7:30. They said I didn't have a reservation, I showed her my confirmation. She sat us at a table in entry way facing a brick wall. We asked to move and got an even worse table. When we were moved we told server our menu had food all over it. Not a word was spoken but we did not take menus to new table. We were never offered any new clean menus, we sat there for awhile, no one came back so we left. Sad

This place is by reservation only, which we didn't have, but they were nice enough to accommodate us. Had the chicken piccata and spaghetti with meatballs. Both were really good. Bread and dip was amazing. Salads were mediocre. Service was good. Overall it's a really good spot. Was very busy so you can tell how popular it is. I missed some of the staples that other Italian restaurants have like chicken parm and veal. Perhaps they have these items on specials, at times.

Had dinner here last night for the first time and the food was AMAZING!! My husband had the lasagna and I had the cheese ravioli in spicy Ragu, so delish! Will definitely be back.

The food was delicious. Friendly staff and excellent service. You can book reservations online. For parties larger than 7 I believe you have to call the restaurant.

The restaurant was crowded. I was there one month ago & was with large group. The entree I ordered was the cheese ravioli with spicy meat sauce.The way it was served was so wrong. After waiting a long period for my meal, the now, cold ravioli (pasta) was in a dish with mexican-flavored "hot" meat sauce; carelessly presented. It appeared unappetizing. I returned the dish. I have had Italian spicy meat sauce in other restaurants. And, it is not spicy-hot such as Mexican chili. Other folk in our group were also unhappy w/their meal. Quality had always been #1. Now, serving too many ppl; Pasquini's is resting on it's past laurels.

Food, service, Ambiance, It has it all, hands down. Reservation's are a must. No walkins. My first go to restaurant

Pasquini's is excellent. The food is always great and the staff are quick. We totally order the steak John, lasagna, ravioli, chicken piccata, shrimp scampi, spicy spaghetti and fettuccini. You can't go wrong w any of it!
