Yelp
Passador means "meat carver" in Portuguese. This restaurant is a Brazilian steakhouse that celebrates churrasco, southern Brazil style of barbequing. They have been open roughly 3 months, so it was nice to try a new spot.
Disclosure first: I got the salad bar. My boyfriend did get the full-on meat experience so I can comment on what he said however. We came here on a Sunday night for our anniversary celebration. My boyfriend had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, so I wanted him to experience it and the reviews here were so promising.
Service was very good. This place was hopping for a Sunday, and those guys hustle. It's a great way to burn some calories I'm sure. Basically this place offers several meat and one seafood option, shrimp. You get a little card that you flip over when you're hungry and flip to red when you are eating. Bring your appetites! I will say it's hard to get your money's worth here.
For the salad bar I was very disappointed. There was rice, black beans, some vegetables such as peppers and really thick asparagus, salad, and a few different cheeses and smoked salmon and salami. The only thing I really cared to eat was the caesar salad and a couple pieces of salmon. They definitely made out feeding me.
For meat lovers, they definitely offer a wide variety of selections including prime sirloin, bottom sirloin, filet mignon, bacon wrapped tenderloin, top sirloin, beef ribs, rib eye, rack of lamb, leg of lamb, pork sausage, pork ribs, grilled shrimp, chicken legs, and bacon wrapped chicken breast. My boyfriend tried several meat selections, but he wasn't really impressed with anything other than the shrimp, which he's not even a seafood fan, but that's the one that stood out to him. He said he's had better steaks, and wasn't really going back for seconds on anything other than the shrimp.
You'll also get some side dishes here, such as mashed potatoes, fried cheese, and a caramelized banana. The banana reminded me a plantain sort-of but less sweet. It was pretty good. I didn't care for the cheese popovers, the fried cheese, or the potatoes.
We got the creme brulee for dessert. I like when the custard is warm, and it was borderline cold. I didn't care for it, but we both ate most of it anyway.
Good service won't bring either of us back here. For the price, I'd rather spend money elsewhere. Leaving hungry from a Brazilian steakhouse just seems wrong.
