LA Yellow Fever Restaurant Chain Closes After Sparking Cultural Debate - Eater LA

"Yellow Fever originally began as a Torrance standalone space for rice bowls and other Asian fusion fare. The company came under fire back in 2018 when it partnered with Whole Foods in Long Beach to open a mini location inside the grocery store. The restaurant’s opening announcement on Twitter was beset with negative replies from prominent Asian-Americans and food writers alike, and the ensuing debate on the culturally insensitive name was even picked up on by The New York Times. In interviews, Yellow Fever owners Michael and Kelly Kim said that they were trying to “reclaiming the term.” Eventually the scuffle died down, and business continued — but not enough business it seems to keep the restaurants (including a third location in Marina del Rey) afloat. In an email, Michael Kim tells Eater: The final day of service has already come and gone for the Marina del Rey and Long Beach locations, with Torrance closing as of Sunday, or until all the food is gone." - Farley Elliott

I came here to get updated on my vaccinations before going on a mission to South Sudan. Rochelle Anderson, my provider, was great! She was so thorough, friendly, helpful, informative and great. I felt like she went above and beyond. I decided to purchase some anti-diarrheal medications available there, and when there was some confusion about the price, she called to double check and make sure she was quoting me the right price. The clinic had parking and the space was clean and comfortable. It definitely helped me feel more prepared for my trip. Thanks Rochelle for all your help!

Extremely friendly and very helpfull in giving advice and tips. Was going to passport in Anaheim before, and the lady was more organized and helpful at this location. I'm travelling the world solo and she provided me with the right vaccins and knowledge. I just had a good feeling about spending so much money.

Before last week I'd never heard of a travel clinic. And now that I've had the chance to visit one my life is changed. What a fantastic place to go! This is truly a one stop shop, where an educated healthcare representative gets to celebrate your travels with you, inform you of health care precautions, and get you whatever you need! I am in awe. Rochelle greeted me at the door with a smile, and the entire time I was there made me feel exceptionally welcomed, cared for, safe, and I learned so much. It sounds dumb but I cannot wait to go back! I've never had such an easy, effective health care appointment. 10/10 recommend. I will be recommending this to everyone in my life.

I am traveling to Africa and went to Passport Health to get vaccinations. The nurse was very professional and informative, reviewing my specific travel plans, explaining all the recommended and required vaccines as well as the difference. She administered the vaccines that I chose. She was very knowledgeable.

The information given to me was incorrect . Was told they needed 3 days for approval for pills when others approved the same . They had me go to a pharmacy to pick them up which I was told not there and for me to call and be advised they still needed more time which was past the time of me leaving . I ended going somewhere else's and received approval .
