"While there is no sandy beach oasis near the Rowes Wharf location, Pasta Beach does a good job of cultivating relaxed, vacation-style vibes at its waterfront restaurant. The pasta is made in-house daily and there is a carb concoction for everybody. Order the carbonara made with decadent guanciale (pork cheek), imported pecorino, and egg, or taste the sea with their lobster cappelletti with ricotta and spinach." - Tommy Ranucci, Eater Staff

"Pasta Beach, an Italian restaurant that opened on Boston’s waterfront (30 Rowes Wharf) in 2010, has been closed since a September 2019 fire that reportedly started in the building’s ductwork and caused approximately $350,000 in damages. Nearly three years later, it finally has a reopening date — June 25 — and an eye-catching tropical redesign, per teaser photos the restaurant’s been sharing on social media." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Pasta beach is the best place in Boston to have a great pasta dish!!! I love their spaghetti with vongole (clams) and bottarga. It’s the only place where this pasta dish tastes like in Italy. The service is also great. Cocktails are amazing. And the restaurant design is very cool

Delicious food and great service was a winning combination here. I fell in love with their bread so much!! I went here for company dinner. I was able to order bread a few times. The mariana pasta was very flavorable and very fresh. The potatoes were really nice oven potato with nice seasonings. I enjoyed my chicken dish as a whole. But the appertizer and sides really won me over.

We needed a quick bite before heading on our boat tour and this was the perfect place for us. It was a bit cool so we did not want to sit outside, but there was plenty of very nice outdoor seating available. The atmosphere was relaxed and the seating was very comfortable. Our server Riker was exceptional. She answered all of our questions about the wine list and worked with us to get the exact pizza that we were hoping for. It was a nice, calm spot for us to let down a bit before continuing our sightseeing in Boston.

The service was good but for a place that touts pasta the pasta was very mediocre. On top of that it was microwaved (you can tell by the way the steam rose from the middle only when you dug into the food).

I recently came here for dinner and frankly was quite disappointed. I did not love most of the dishes we ordered (my family disagrees, so it's known). Each of the things we tried felt off in one way or the other. There wasn't anything blatantly wrong with the dishes; I just thought they were bad dishes. Not to mention the price of 4 dishes and a side salad for 3 people came out to be around $60 per person! For starters, I enjoyed the side salad and warm focaccia. Let me get into the main dishes: the tagliatelle with lobster had very little flavor and the pasta itself tasted like store bought pasta. The lobster was fine, but it didn't do much for me (and on this, my family agreed). We tried the brussels sprouts pizza which sounded really good but I found it to be very confusing. I did not taste any gorgonzola on the pizza and the gooey cheese simply didn't taste like anything. In my opinion, the brussels sprouts with honey should have been it's own dish because that was the part I enjoyed the most! Putting it on pizza did not make sense to me. Third, the cheese ravioli had too much cheese in it. This isn't normally a complaint of mine but it overpowered the dish—this was probably the best main course, however. Lastly, the spaghetti with carbonara was far too rich so I could barely eat a single mouthful. I can't say I recommend this restaurant with all of the North End restaurants not too further up the street.

It was my first time eating at Pasta Beach and the overall experience was incredible! The service was efficient and welcoming. Adam and Deanna (hope I spelled it correctly) had great attention to detail and were very knowledgeable about the menu. It was lovely to chat with them. The menu is carefully curated to give you a taste of traditional Italian cuisine in Boston and we were very satisfied. The venue was aesthetically pleasing to look at and the atmosphere was intimate. We can’t wait to come back and try more choices!

I didn't eat anything before having dinner here to fully enjoy dishes. I was soooo excited to have pasta, but what I got from here causeda severe stomachache. I think this happened due to imperfect hygiene. Table and dishes were not so clean and the tab water smelled bad (I felt it from my coke). Our pasta was delicious but cold. I heard the same complaint from our right next to our table. Couldn't accept the reason for high price. Two stars are for our server.

Google
It’s fine. If other places are booked up I would go here, but would rarely would this be my first choice for Italian in Boston. Space is pretty nice and location is great. Service was pretty miss, forgot lots of things and oddly timed when they were brought out. Just didn’t seem like they had it together. If the food were cheaper I would say it’s pretty good, but for the price, it’s just not quite right. Every dish just had something kinda weird / off about it. Seafood pasta dish had overcooked pasta. Modern margarita pizza was just an odd creation of cold buratta on focaccia with a tomato on top. Cacio Pepe ravioli wasn’t very cacio. Or Pepe. Just ravioli.

Yelp
I've been to all three Pasta Beach's before. Providence is our home so we visit there quite often, and whenever were down in Newport for the summer Pasta Beach is a must-have, so it was only perfect that we'd go to Pasta beach for St. Patty's weekend since we were up in Boston! I'll keep my review short and sweet: The Hostess & the water boy/busser could be friendlier. The hostess particularly wasn't greeting people with eye contact, had no idea what to do when we showed up with a baby, didn't answer our questions about our stroller placement, and didn't even bring a high-char for our baby (even though it was noted in our reservation that we'd have a baby). The busser/water guy served water to every table but ours -- We had to ask our waitress 3x for water because he just forgot about us in the corner. The waitress was the only stand-out service experience here. She was awesome. We didn't catch her name but she was young, had blonde hair and glasses. Props to her for saving the day. My advice? Get friendlier faces to greet your customers at the door. After all, the host is your FIRST experience with your band/restaurant. The food was the best of ALL the Pasta Beach's. They seriously blew us out of the park. Everything was delicious, came out promptly, and was incredible. Compliments to the chef and back-of-house kitchen staff.

Yelp
Sadly were out of the drink I wanted, so I got my second choice which had honey and I couldn't taste much else in it. The fried pasta with zucchini was not what we were expecting (molded into a disk and fried) and was really good. I got the margarita flatbread which used burrata on top and I should have known to get the unexpected at this point because I thought it was going to be mini balls popped and melted but it was more like the ball when in a food processor and was spread on top. While I enjoyed this part, the crust was more like fried dough which was odd to me, and tiring to eat a whole one. We had a side of mushrooms which were perfect. Finished with the raspberry tiramisu (which had no coffee flavor, yay for me, FYI to everyone else) and the chocolate cake, which was dry. Service was fine, but we had to keep asking for water, which felt weird as they had one person who, when we sad, told us that was her job but she never came back around.

Yelp
Went for a small group dinner (5 people) without a reservation at 7 on a Monday night. We were seated right away. Beautifully decorated, conveniently located in rowes wharf. Our waitress was helpful and friendly (even when we asked for dessert recommendations somewhere else!). The carbonara was just like ones I had in Italy. And the Hugo spritz was even better. Can't wait to go back and try more off the menu!

Coleen B.

Yelp
The house made focaccia is to die for. We are vegetarian so we ordered a tomato and burrata salad, and the focaccia. Oh my gosh, the focaccia was the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the spaghetti and I had the potato ravioli with green beans which was very unique and very good. I also had a glass of Duckhorn Chardonnay which was fantastic. Service was also wonderful. Great evening, highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Nice place to go before or after Trillium on the Greenway. Other good option is Provisions. The service was very nice and the ambiance was nice. The pizza was a delicious treat before a night out.

Kiaan M.

Yelp
Yo, I hit up Pasta Beach in Boston and it was kinda a letdown. Here's my take: Raviolo de Pesto:** This was a no-go. Super oily and just too much. Duck:** It was alright but super chewy. Total jaw workout. Pizza:** The pizza was fire! Thin crust and tasty toppings. Easily the best thing I had. Salmon:** The salmon was cooked fine, but the sauce was way too creamy. Not vibing with it. Raviolo de Cappito:** Just basic ravioli. Nothing special here. Burrata Appetizer:** The burrata was okayish, but not fresh. The tomatoes and basil were meh. Service:** The server was good and our server's name was Rachael . They were kinda just going through the motions. **Ambience:** The vibe was alright but nothing special. It was kinda plain and not super cozy or fun. Overall, I expected way more from this place. Some stuff was decent, but a lot was just blah. Not planning to go back anytime soon.

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant. We were able to walk right in and be seated. Staff was very nice and helpful. The Marguerite pizza was unlike any I have had before and I loved it. The pastas are all made fresh daily and you can tell. We ordered two different ones and we were happy to share them.

Melanie R.

Yelp
The food at this restaurant was decent, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the dishes I ordered. While the Ravioli al Pesto didn't quite meet my expectations, the tiramisu for dessert was a standout and the highlight of my meal. Despite this mixed experience, I'm willing to give the rest of the menu a try on my next visit to see if there are other dishes that I might enjoy more.

Yelp
We stopped for drinks before dinner elsewhere, but decided to stay after reviewing the menu. My wife and i both had the Grilled Caesar for appetizers which was delicious. For entrees I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese while my wife had the White Bean soup, both were delicious. We ate at the bar and out bartender Megan was attentive and our drinks were great. So many restaurants lately do not do expresso, so it was nice to enjoy a cappuccino at the meals end. Highly Recommend.

BL S.

Yelp
So after we read rave reviews of this place we made a lunchtime trip to the aquarium and the. Pasta beach. Both my wife and i were completely unimpressed. We struggled to find anything off the lunch menu we wanted. We were given waters when we sat down but a long delays between visits to the table. Finished our waters. There was plenty of staff and we were the ONLY people there. Finally we agree to try a pizza and a salad. The waitress described it as "fresh". We liked the idea of fresh but what she meant was the toppings goes on cold. Salad with a couple few shrimps and raspberries wasn't bad. The manager took the pizza off the bill. Wouldn't recommend. Ambiance was super cool.

Bea T.

Yelp
The food is delicious! Very authentic Italian food and flavors including the portions. It was a nice light dinner with Burrata Caprese salad, scallops, and Carpaccio, foccacia, bone marrow with Lobster. The chef is from Italy...no wonder. The tiramisu also was very authentic. I'm surprised. The ambiance was colorful. Service was very nice.

Gabriela D.

Yelp
Came here for NYE dinner. They had reservations available less than a week before still! The server was incredibly attentive and friendly. The ambience was cozy and the decor was cute and plant themed. The pasta is handmade! I had the ravioli di zucca. The portion size was good for the price. The pasta was a little thick but the filling was light and airy. The Parmesan sauce was creamy without feeling too heavy. The crème brûlée was tasty, definitely needed the blackberry sauce to complement it, and the whipped cream wasn't overly sweet. Overall good spot in Boston.

Yelp
I was in Italy in October and fell in love with real carbonara and cache Pepe pasta dishes. That had a downside. I came home and kept comparing Boston Italian to Italian Italian. I think I had become a pasta snob. When the carbonara was not made with guanciale, I might exhale or something subconsciously. In Boston I have my spots for Amatriciana and Bolognese. But wasn't fulfilled until I saw a video about this place. I saw the pecorino Romano, the guanciale, the pasta water...it looked all to familiar. Was it a video about Boston -no. The video was Authentic Italian- SI. The service was excellent, but to be honest it was a late lunch on a wednesday. Not peek lunch time but that made it even better. No rush. No stress. The chef, we found out was from Italy. The style we were told was more Roman. They were not wrong. The vibe was hip. Very chic. The location was near the harbor and easy to get too. We had Spaghetti Carbonara and Ravioli cache Pepe. That's it. That's all we wanted. We got so much more. We got to close our eyes and believe we were back in Rome. It was off the charts good. Taste buds were going crazy. It was a wonderful lunch and we met the chef and the owner. Both with roots in Torino Italy. Great enthusiasm. It's on my list and I will be back.

Nicole C.

Yelp
We were a party of 8 and were sat right away. I had never eaten here but heard their other locations were good. We had a variety of pasta and pizza dishes with a focaccia thrown in there too. I thought my carbonara pasta was too eggy dense. It had good flavor but more cream in it would have done e the trick. The pizza was great. I haven been to the Italian side of Boston yet have to make that my next stop for comparisons which I'll assume may rock it.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Very good food. Sooooooooo good! Ragu Romano was amazing. Misticana excellent! Burrata Caprese so yummy.

Ricky C.

Yelp
The best ragu I've ever had! The oxtail in it was sooo amazing. This place was super cute and the staff was very friendly and very personable! Will be telling all my friends to come and play here

Masmin P.

Yelp
Great casual dining spot with well- dressed menu offerings. The breaded tuna was inventive and delightful- crudo center and crispy fried breading on the outer sides. (I'm still trying to figure out how the chef achieved this without deep-frying the entire piece!) The juxtaposition of textures was inspired, and the blend of flavors - sweetness from the caramelized onions and salty tartness of the capers - was a great idea, but wish the flavors were pushed more to the forefront. Still, a very creative dish. The flatbread pizza had a nice, almost fried-dough, texture to it. All in all, a pleasant lunch.

Melissa P.

Yelp
The service was great - our waitress was attentive and helpful in giving suggestions about what to order. The rating is average because each of us at the table felt something from our dish was missing in terms of flavor or side. This is more of a commercialized Italian restaurant, food is mediocre. The drinks were good and the ambiance is great for date night with your friends or partner because of the dim lighting, thoughtful decor, and location.

Neil W.

Yelp
We went to Pasta Beach with friends to celebrate a graduation and had a fantastic evening. The pasta was delicious and the service was world class. This is definitely a restaurant we will visit again. Our servers definitely made us feel welcome and appreciated. I believe the waiter was named Rafael (sorry) and server was Alexandra. They were both a 10 of 10s and made the evening even more special. What a great experience!! - Bella and Woody Hull, Mass.

Yelp
Not as good as it used to be. Boston Pasta Beach used to have the best pasta in the city. I came in today for the bucatini; they got rid of it :/ I ordered plain spaghetti with tomato sauce and a side of mushrooms. Extremely small portion sizes, and the pasta was average at best. Paid the bill and went over to the North End for a better, filling meal. Probably won't return.

Yelp
Wondering where to go with immaculate date night vibes? This is the spot. Something about this place just makes me want to be here. Maybe it's the food created by a chef from a 3-star Michelin restaurant in Rome, maybe it's the eclectic yet welcoming decor, maybe its the low-lit intimate ambiance- whatever it is, you'll want to come back to @pastabeachboston again and again-- at least I do. Dishes I miss already: Asparagi: Roasted asparagus, Parmigiano Reggiano cream, crispy poached egg Burrata Caprese: Fresh burrata cheese served with marinated tomatoes and basil olive oil Midollo: Roasted bone marrow with lobster meat, marinated onions, and mustard emulsion Supplì: Fried rice croquette, filled with meat ragù and fior di latte mozzarella, topped with Pecorino Romano cream Raspberry Tiramisu Also recommend the oxtail bolognese, the burrata pizza, the cacio e pepe ravioli, and the ribeye. Drinks were the only thing that were not 10/10 but they were still good. I think this is probably a spot where you want to enjoy wine which is more typical for a traditional Italian restaurant.

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
I recently went to Pasta Beach for Sunday brunch with a friend. I hadn't been prior to its closing a few years ago, but its signage caught my eye as I'm often walking around the area. TL;DR - I was incredibly impressed with my experience, and couldn't recommend it more as a brunch, cocktail hour or dinner venue! We were surprised to enter and see an essentially empty restaurant when we got there - typically this translates to not-so-great food, but BOY did this experience prove the stigma wrong! We had the absolute best brunch. The ambiance was stunning, with natural light pouring through huge windows, eye-catching patterned wallpaper, and a bar whose liquor display literally sparkled in the sun; the booths and chairs were perfectly upholstered. Our top 3 orders: Crudo pinse - this one I have a lot to say about. I think the only place I really get pizza for lunch has been Italy (and you can guess how often I'm there) but this one would have me making exceptions every day of the week. It was light and airy, crunchy with the perfect amount of chewier dough (*barely* there), and the prosciutto was so, so fresh. The manager explained to us the technique they use to bake/cook this one, and it's super unique with the objective of creating a lighter flatbread experience - with a base that doesn't weigh you down. Spaghetti Carbonara - this was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, no joke. The way the pasta was steaming in the light of the perfect windows was insane - out of a movie. Carbonara rarely fails me, and it certainly didn't this time. The pancetta wasn't overly salty, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Not too much cheese (not that there ever is) but just enough. Such a good brunch pasta order! Crème brulee - what good meal doesn't end with a sweet touch? This crème brulee had a beautiful crunchy top, wasn't too bruleed (i.e. burnt) or overly sweet, and the creamy interior was soooo decadent. It came with a few fresh berries as well, and a touch of berry puree on the side. SO good! I'm so excited to go back. Just writing this review makes me want to make a new reservation!! Head to Pasta Beach asap!!

Jacqueline B.

Yelp
Everything was average; the food was good but a bit overpriced for the quality; great remodel, interior is pretty

Hannah L.

Yelp
The ambiance and aesthetic is absolutely incredible. I feel like I'm actually on a beach in Florida...in the middle of Boston! Not only that, the food is absolutely killer! I highly recommend the pizza for something small, which can definitely be shared between two people. It comes on focaccia bread vs. your regular flat bread. Their cocktails are pretty stellar as well. The service (I'm so sorry, I forget your name, but I will be back to get it!) was amazing. The woman was a gem and made us want to stay longer.

Jeanne C.

Yelp
The food was delicious! Try the pizza! The service was friendly. A young vibe though we weren't uncomfortable. I ate their with my mother and had fun. The ambiance was comfortable.

Kyra D.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest and take a guess that a lot of the negative reviews are because people are expecting Olive Garden portions and north end Italian American pasta dishes. This place is fantastic. I went with 6 Italians and we were all blown away. The chef, Massimo, is incredibly talented and very purposeful in what he does. Every pasta dish was impeccable--al dente, flavorful, portioned correctly. We had both the Margherita pinsa as well as the fig and prosciutto pinsa and both were incredible. Maybe skip desserts though. Love the ambiance, love that it's young and chic and unpretentious. Can't wait to be back for more--complimenti to the chef.

Edward R. L.

Yelp
The food was very good, and the main courses were served quickly, even before the bread was ready. It was, however, overpriced, cheapest glass of wine was $15, bread wasn't even complimentary, and it was difficult to hear in the dining area because of the proximity to the bar. I would go back again, but only if someone else was paying. Definitely not a place to come if you've got children.

Gerald D.

Yelp
Very Delicious Focaccia Prosciutto sandwich and filling. Our waitress very knowledgeable and courteous. A real pleasure to visit. Delicious dessert!

Janice Marie M.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner at Pasta Beach RW (Rowe's Wharf) on Friday night, March 3, 2023, celebrating a friend's birthday, and we were served by Deanna, with Shammar who is training to manage the restaurant, and we met with Adam, the GM, whom we recognized from dining at the Pasta Beach in Newport, RI. We enjoyed the: Mistecanza Salad which was a very large salad that can be shared that has baby romaine lettuce, radicchio, endive, goat cheese, bacon with apple cider dressing, and looks as beautiful as it tastes! Pollo Agrodolce: Roasted de-boned chicken with a traditional cacciatore sauce, with sweet and sour asparagus with chili flakes, which was cooked perfectly and outstanding! My husband had the Margherita "Moderna" Pizza or Pinsa which is an Italian delicacy of hand-pressed pizza that's just beginning to be discovered outside of Italy, which produces a cloud-like pizza that has crispy textures on the outside and a super-soft delightful inside. The hand-kneaded dough is made from a combination of four flours (zero wheat, rice, soy, sourdough) which makes it a much healthier alternative to traditional pizza with 80% hydration and is light as a feather! This pinsa had Burrata cheese, marinated tomatoes, basil olive oil, with added sausage and Pepperoni which was excellent! The Traditional Tiramisu was made with hazelnut cream truffle, fresh mascarpone, ladyfingers, egg yolks, sugar, coffee, and cocoa powder, soaked in Marsala wine was a light as a feather, and is made to order and not prepared in advance, and this was the absolutely best tiramisu that we have ever had! The Perfect Crème Brûlée tasted as amazing as it was presented. The Birthday Dessert made from very light pastry filled with cream and topped with whipped cream was a nice touch! Thank you to the staff for a wonderful meal, that is equally good to the Newport restaurant that we have been to in the summers! We plan to go back to try some of the other suggestions on the menu: duck, pasta, etc. 10 out of 10 rating!

Anna R.

Yelp
Wow, this place is really special and an absolute must on the Boston scene. The pasta and all of the food we had was delicious and Mario was amazing! Thanks so much for a great dinner.

Kayley R.

Yelp
I got the spaghetti pomodoro as an entree and the burrata with focaccia as an appetizer. They were both flavorful, but maybe not worth the amount they costed. The focaccia, however, was absolutely stellar. The portion sizes were great, not too big like most restaurants these days. The service was adequate. The environment was so cool! The interior design and music they played was very modern and lovely.

Joe E.

Yelp
Great authentic Italian cuisine from a Michelin star chef and cool interior with outdoor dining. Who could ask for more! Spaghetti Vongole E Bottarga amazing

Kayla R.

Yelp
My partner and I experienced some blatant homophobia when we went to pasta beach for dinner this week. First, we got sat at the worst table in the restaurant and when I asked to sit at the table next to it, the host seemed annoyed that I didn't want to sit at the exit from the kitchen. After 15 minutes, not only had our waiter not come over to us, but we still had not been offered water. I've worked in restaurants so I thought maybe they were busy but the man who turned out to be our waiter was able to go up to the tables around us, who all appeared straight, MULTIPLE times. Not just bringing drinks or taking orders but just to check in while we sat there with empty water glasses and closed menus. When he finally made his way to us somehow shocked by our presence despite being there for 15 minutes right in front of his face, he seemed exasperated. I told him we were ready to order and he sighed and asked if anyone had asked us about water. Then, my partners gluten allergy seemed to throw him off guard as if allergies are rare. We put in our drink and food order. The food came out within 5 minutes (which I was impressed with) but our drinks hadn't. No big deal. I tried to eat slowly, but still finished my food before our drinks made their way from the bar. We also got our app after our meals (fried Brussel sprouts) which were literally raw. When I pointed this out to our waiter (who I had to flag down) he was skeptical and kept looking at the sprouts as if I was making up a lie. After putting up a fight he brought them back to the kitchen. Anyway, eventually, a nice person who I think was the bar manager (not sure) brought our drinks over and asked if I had been waiting a while and I told her that I had been and in fact had finished my meal. She was so nice and said she'd take something off the bill. Finally I wave our waiter down AGAIN (mind you he had been going up to the tables around us multiple times) to get the bill. Again he forgot about us and so I asked the woman who brought our drinks if she could bring our check. She was nice enough to take our drinks off which I'm really grateful for, but the whole experience left a horrible taste in my mouth due to the homophobia. I thought maybe I was being dramatic, but then a table sat next to us (a man and a woman). I thought I'd see how long it took for them to get water. It took 5 minutes. If I needed proof that I wasn't being dramatic, it was right there. Also, anyone can make better pasta at home.

Savannah L.

Yelp
Went when there was nobody else in the restaurant, service was still wicked slow. The food is fine, menu is extensive, but pretty expensive. It's very cute and put together in there. Seemed like everyone was staring at us, which was probably because it wasn't very busy. The bartender (?) was talking about past employees (quite loudly) and how they didn't dress right and how some of them "sucked"...don't know if i'd come back here.

Amanda S.

Yelp
NO BABY CHANGING TABLE! How?!? I had to leave dinner and walk the street and find a place that would let me come in and change my baby's diaper. Baffled. The hostess was rude but the waitress was great and the food was good! Margarita was amazing and the place was cute. Not family friendly but I would come back again without my little.

Caroline H.

Yelp
Not yet in the big leagues but the location is priceless. Pasta was undercooked. Asparagus was al dente but was more undercooked than al dente. Octopus was good.

Danni M.

Yelp
Food, service fantastic! Highly recommend their lunch menu ! Wine list spot on. Italian

Timothy W.

Yelp
I had a business lunch at the Boston location yesterday and the food was fantastic. I had the Duck Ragu and my associate had the Pollo Arrosto, both dishes were out of this world Service was great, food came quickly and the sound level was prefect for a business discussion. I highly recommend Pasta Beach Boston

Collin W.

Yelp
Pasta was good, pizza was mediocre and looked like a frozen pizza. Cocktails hit or miss--the cocktail with peach- and vanilla-infused whiskey was awful, but the lemon vodka one was alright. Everything was wildly overpriced for what it was. Would not go again.

Richard C.

Yelp
It is back. Such a great place recreated after a fire three years ago. Places like this are always able to come back since they are so good.

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying Pasta Beach bad was sadly really disappointed. I've been on the hunt for good pasta in boston and figured this place would be it given that it's their specialty. Ordered the carbonara and it just went downhill from there. The food came out too fast--which just means it's likely sitting around somewhere. It was COLD--like unreasonably cold which alone made it unenjoyable. I would have asked them to heat it up but my husband was super tired and I didn't want to make the evening longer than necessary with a whole "to do". The pasta was a little too al dente. Can't knock them for that--I think most people like it like that. But, the sauce was so thick and heavy and I couldn't stomach the whole thing--and I tried like hell to eat it because it's not cheap. It just tasted like someone put 2 million eggs yolks in a blender with a dash of cheese and served it over the pasta. It definitely needed some more pasta water to thin/even it out. My husband got the same thing and his had less (but still plenty) sauce which just looked more appetizing. The pancetta was skimpy at best. And, honestly, an expensive ass pasta please really needs to provide some complimentary bread. Like bfrfr. Our waiter was good.

Been here three times. Food is decent. But do not go for cocktails. As one helper has already mentioned, there is a really bad bartender who has a big attitude and has no ideas how to make a drink.

Yelp
My friend & I ate here tonight & were very impressed! The outdoor area was so adorable & the umbrellas above the tables were great since it was drizzling a bit throughout the meal. Our waitress came over right away to ask us about drinks & as soon as we had those and were ready to order she was on it! The food was out in less than 15 minutes! The spaghetti I had was delicious and tasted so fresh and my friend felt the same about her pizza! Overall this was such a great experience!

Yelp
Home away from home for waterfront residents. Excellent, dependable food and service. Great outdoor dining in the summer too. Reasonable parking on weekends and after 5 at One International place across the street.

Yelp
Just had dinner here for the first time and absolutely loved the place! Great ambiance and delicious food. Our waitress, Brianna, did a wonderful job suggesting what to eat. We got all her recommendations and we were not disappointed. She was very attentive and kept checking up on us which is something I love, makes all the difference in the experience. I'll definitely recommend this place and come back next time I visit Boston.

Yelp
This review is for the Boston restaurant (the Newport one is AMAZING and would receive 5 stars) Beautiful space, great vibe, but bring your own ice and prepare to wait!!! We had to track down our waiter a few times to ask for water and new drinks. Totally understand that a lot of restaurants are short staffed but there was wait staff just hanging out here that night.... they had plenty of staff. The worst thing is that they charge $3 for ice ..... you read that right. One of my friends ordered a cosmo but on the rocks, another friend ordered another drink on the rocks - we get the bill and they charged us multiple times $3 for rocks .......... bring your own ice.

Yelp
Nothing like the one in Newport! Food had no flavor. Atmosphere is nice but food is terrible. Wish they had similar food to their Newport shop.

Yelp
Horrible experience. Food was beyond salty. The hostess was terrible. She put the menu down in front of me and rolled her eyes as she was walking away because I didn't grab it from her immediately. I was talking to my friend next to me. The waitress was a 10/10. She was very polite and easy going. The manager was also nice and was able to understand the food wasn't appealing. I don't think I'll be going back at all.

Yelp
There were two doors (both open), so we were unsure which side was the entrance. The door we entered was not the entrance so we were asked to circle back and enter through the other door. We had a reservation for three and the host sat us at the worst possible table. She sat us at a high-top table designated for two. The table was very wobbly and crowded so we asked to be seated at a different table - we were moved to a regular table. The second table was more ideal for us as it sat four people, giving us more space for our appetizer and entrees. I asked the server for a drink recommendation and it was a lot stronger than I anticipated so she willingly took it back and asked if I wanted another drink of my choice. I also ordered a pasta with clams - would not recommend. The pasta was flavorless and the kitchen staff did not do a good job cleaning the clams, every bite was filled with sand. We informed the server and she was unable to take it back. I do not recommend Pasta Beach.

Yelp
Incredible food, great atmosphere, super kind and attentive staff! We came here for my friends birthday and we're taken such good care of. The cocktails were delicious in addition to a solid wine menu. The food was impressive - both the pasta and dessert (you have to try the raspberry tiramisu!). The staff was just lovely - our waiter Mario made my friends birthday so special. We'll be returning asap for another girls night! Highly highly recommend :)
