The dough was absolutely amazing. Best I have tasted in a while. Thin, sweet and fluffy. Not greasy at all. Just the right amount of sauce to know it’s there. Cheesy but not overly nor stringy. Smooth. Got an 18” cheese pizza. Will be back again. Highly recommending.

Google
Been going to the store since it opened. Best Sicilian pizza in our area by a long shot but the owner lost himself a lifelong customer and truly a fan of their pizza by refusing a simple request. I had the gall to ask for metal utensils to eat the hot slices because the plastic bends and loses its shape and it’s difficult to eat when the fork tines bend. I have eaten at the counter countless times and received a regular fork and knife each and every time but the owner THE FREAKING OWNER wouldn’t give me a regular fork and knife because it creates too much work for his staff to clean. One fork and one knife and he said he didn’t care less if I ever came back in. Lost a customer and the family of a customer that has been going there since they opened over a fork and knife. Happy Holidays.

I've been dining at Pasta-eria for a long time. Both dine in and take out. One of my favorite dishes is the pork chop alla nonna, which has always included TWO pork chops, and caramelized onions, peppers, roasted potatoes, asparagus, basil, and balsamic drizzle. Delicious. Tonight I ordered pork chop alla nonna to go. Only to find ONE pork chop in the pan. Which was visibly sparse compared to how it usually looks, which is TWO pork chops, with corresponding amounts of toppings. When I called to inquire about their error, I was told the dish only contains ONE chop. This is NOT TRUE AT ALL. There have ALWAYS been TWO chops as long as I've been getting this. And I called her out on it. The menu item description clearly states "CHOPS", plural, meaning more than one. I was told by the person on the phone that this is incorrect. The single chop was visibly flat as though pounded to flatten and take up more space. Who are they kidding? So now I get HALF of the usual dish. Only 1 chop, and half the toppings. Did they cut the price in half? What do YOU think? Very disappointing. I wonder what else they are skimping on and hoping people won't notice.....

Google
We ordered 2 pizzas. The grandma pie was essentially a floppy, undercooked Sicilian pie. No garlic whatsoever. The mushroom was undercooked to the point of almost raw. Our toaster oven needed to finish the job. Plenty of other local shops do a better job.

Google
So glad to be invited to dinner a Pasta-eria... nicely decorated, great servers (Marco and Noel) very attentive, polite, and efficient! Everything was prepared hot (so important to have your meal served hot), all meals were a nice portion and nicely presented... highly recommend eating here!

Google
Went to pasta eria for take out. The staff was very rude and seriously disrespected me. Ive been a customer for many years- when owner is there, it's great- but when he or daughter isnt there, one really ornery staff member just treats you like garbage. Wont b going back. Told all friends and family

yvette S.

Google
The food is delicious and the servings are enough to take home for seconds. I had the chicken parm with spaghetti and the chicken was juicy and delicious my daughter had the eggplant meatballs and she loved them It was so hard to decide what I wanted because everything sounded delicious on the menu definitely gonna head back a few more times

Yelp
Pasteria is a neighborhood staple that always makes delicious Italian food. The service is always good and the portions are huge-you'll have enough for lunch the next day. It's not super fancy but also not a place to wear your pajamas to-yes, I'm referring to the people who think pajama pants are okay to wear while dining But seriously, love Pasteria!
google avatar

Neil D.

Yelp
The restaurant is very small and the choices are wide. The bread & focaccia were rubbery, cold and tasteless. The calamari was fair and the arabiata sauce was decent, very mild but flavorful and made correctly. I had the Sunday sauce which was fair to poor. The homemade pasta was chewy and lacked flavor. The meatballs were dry and also lacked flavor. The bracciole was like leather! No taste and not worth swallowing. My wife ordered Chicken Sinatra that was soooo salty and overloaded with lemon. Had to return it. She replaced it with eggplant parmigiana which was hard eggplant and tasteless sauce. They also charged $5 for a side of tasteless pasta. Horrible table service! The waiter had an attitude that he was doing us a favor to serve us. They never even filled our water glasses until we asked a few times. Will never return there to eat.

Yelp
This pizzeria is located in the shopping center with a Bagel Boss, Staples, Michael's and Five Below. There is ample parking. The outside of the shop isn't a standout, but once inside, this is a very nice, clean and comfortable pizzeria and restaurant. The pizza display, both in glass and behind the counter show the pizza makers at work. It's clean, it's cheerful and the slices look delicious. Now, the staff here is exceptionally friendly. They went above and beyond to serve us, despite the fact we literally only ordered 2 slices. We ordered a regular slice and an Upside Down Sicilian slice. The price was super fair. I even asked the server if he had added correctly because it was such a surprise bargain. We were given cups, ice and silverware and treated so nice even when we sat in the main dining area. The regular slice was excellent-cheesy, crunchy with delicious sauce-not too sweet and seasoned right! The Upside Down slice was great too. The dough and crust were perfect. Now that I've had the pizza, I think this is a place I need to come back soon to for a full dinner!

Yelp
Had a couple of different dishes here. They're all pretty good. I recently had the rigatoni a la vodka with grilled chicken and the prosciutto they put in it tasted off so hopefully it was an off night but that put a damper on my meal. Portions are okay for the price too
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
Just came from lunch from here first of all Peña vodka water down to crap. They tell you they give you discount for cash. They lied. I have the receipt in my hand. They put it back on. Do not go here.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
A surprisingly good place to order dinner if you're craving some good pasta dishes and don't have the time to cook! We ordered the rigatoni but substituted the rigatoni for fusilli and it was perfect. The Fusilli is actually really good and very delightful to eat. It's not your typical fusilli - it's actually more like a mini cavatappi (like a long spiral macaroni). All of the pasta (tortellini included) is on the smaller / bite sized range which my family really enjoyed. It's probably just a personal preference, but I prefer smaller sized pasta to giant pasta. Tortellini carbonara with bacon and peas was also good and popular with the kids. The eggplant parm dinner was okay but nothing memorable. Caesar salad was good, but I felt it was slightly overdressed, so I might ask for dressing on the side next time.

Yelp
Stopped into Pasta-Eric Pizzeria in Hicksville NY on South Oyster Bay Rd. I got a nice chicken soup and a garlic knot. They sell the knots at 60 cents each and for me 1 was enough. They did also give me a few pieces of bread as well. I also ordered 2 small croissants with orange flavored filling. I sat outside at one of their tables to eat it.The soup was fresh but very hot in the plastic cup it was in. I went back inside and ask for a bowl of which the girl claimed that they did not have. The quick thinking man gave me a silver tin which was perfect. Another customer showed a coupon on on her phone. ( see pix) They have a "text discount club" which can be signed up for with the QR. Their coupons go out on a Monday. Yet it was Thursday. Seems the customer had a different coupon as well. You can always call, click the sync link to view Menu or hit Stop to opt out.

Yelp
It's been a very long time since I visited this restaurant. The location is in a strip mall with several retail, and a pharmacy chain. The restaurant resembles your traditional pizzeria with back room dining. When you walk in the restaurant, there is your typical pizza display, along with their ovens . The service was good considering how busy they were. We had ordered just a dinner entree without apetizers. I had the gargozola beet walnut salad with grilled chicken. It was very good. I would have rather tried their pasta, but I am holding back for a bit on certain foods.

Yelp
Great food and service! Been coming here for over 20 years and the food and pizza are always consistent. The crispo salad is the BEST salad ever and the bar pie. Would definitely recommend for sit down or grabbing pizza to go.
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
What can I say this is the best Italian restaurant The food is delicious it's worth a try for anyone that wants to eat real authentic Italian food. The regular pizza and the specialty pizzas are amazing. Every single slice one is melts in your mouth. amazing. Delicious the sauce just is like Italy. I can't wait to order more food from here. The ambiance is great!
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Their regular slice is my favorite in the whole world as well as my mom's. Pasta-Eria does it right! The cheese is delectable, the sauce is so flavorful, and it's oily but not too oily. My family and I have been coming here for years and it's my go to when I'm craving pizza! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Brandon L.

Yelp
Staff was friendly. The marinara slice was very good, and the buffalo slice was okay, but the Sicilian slice was a no-go. It was soggy, and the sauce wasn't good at all. Maybe I came at the wrong time? I'll come back to give them a second try.

Joel R.

Yelp
Very good food and generous portions. Loved the baked Lasagna and tge eggplant was great too. Big salad sidedish. Will definitely go bacy

Dean W.

Yelp
The owner's daughter is very nice. But some of the staff are very rude and very ornery. Ive been going there for years, and they dont even recognize you. The place is not friendly at all. After many years, we've decided to never come back. Is sad- but cant come to a place where you're treated like zero- or worse

Jerry F.

Yelp
Can't speak for the pasta but i got a pizza that was too much with the oil and the crust was so limp that I almost had to eat it DeBlasio style with a knife and fork. Garlic knots were doughy and pretty tasteless. For pizza in the Hicksville area there are better choices.

Yelp
Let's start with the Homemade Rigatoni Napoletana. That's what motivated me to write this review. It's really, really good. I've gotten it many times, and it has never disappointed. The pink tomato sauce is really great. It's got a great flavor. Somehow it is both flavorful and light. The cheese is fresh. The pasta is fresh. That's really my favorite part. You can really taste the freshness of the pasta. The pasta is cooked properly al dante. This time I got whole wheat pasta and I actually liked it more than the normal pasta. It had a bit more of a nutty flavor. Just a hint. That little hint was nice. And it of course comes out warm. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but it's just a really great dish. My girlfriend got the Sienna Risotto and I tried a couple of bites. It was my first time trying risotto so it's hard for me to comment too much, but I really enjoyed the grains of rice. I thought the texture was spot on. And the dish had a nice flavor to it. However, I thought it was way too salty, and that kinda ruined it for me. Growing up on Long Island, I've actually come here dozens of times. It was always one of my favorite places for a slice of pizza. Maybe the favorite. So I had to get a slice of pizza with my meal as well. It actually wasn't a great slice. Didn't taste very fresh, and the dough was a little hard. I remember a few times visiting home recently I've had a similar experience. But growing up I remember it being great. I'm not sure if it's changed since then or if I've just had a little bad luck.

Kyle ..

Yelp
I've been ordering from Pasta-Eria a few times a month for around 3 years now, the food is usually really good in general but the pizza can be inconsistent. The staff is very friendly though and the few times I've received a poorly made pie they remade it with no questions asked.

Lior A.

Yelp
This place deserves a higher rating than what it's got. The moment you walk in you are met with the aroma of garlic and oil. I like everything on the menu, especially pepperoni pizza, all their sandwiches, and calzone. Anyone who lives near Plainview should drop by.

Yelp
Our go to date night place !!!! Fantasic recommendations from our incredible waiter Noel to great tasting food we are never disappointed! Portions are huge and we always leave with leftovers. Definitely stop by soon and give them a try! Don't forget to ask for Noel!

Hope D.

Yelp
Slightly disappointed- we've been coming here for years- always good food and good service. Last few months the service has been slower than normal and the flavors in the food haven't been as favorable. Last time, we never got bread or water and wasn't asked if we wanted some until our meal was done. 1 bust-boy as there used to be 2- so the service isn't as attentive.

John A.

Yelp
The pasta was a bit gummy and the tomato sauce a bit too salty for my taste. Nice sized portions. Service was pleasant, attentive and food was served in a reasonable time.
google avatar

William G B.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place. We have been coming here for so long and they never disappointed us. on The Black Sea bass was outstanding and I had the pork ork chops with pepper's and onions and cherry peppers was incredible. I would highly recommend giving this local gem a shot and make up your own minds...

Yelp
Excellent choice for a Friday night pizza and beer We ordered individual slices, The Grandpa Slice was a unique choice and delicious. And the salad we had was tasty and fresh. Very good service, Eat in or Takeout.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been coming to this place for over 25 years(god has it been that long?!). They have consistently been THE BEST PIZZA, on Long Island I have ever eaten. Maybe even the country. The regular and Sicilian pies are great but if you want to get to another level try the, in this order, The Grandpa, The Marinara and The Grandma. I'm sure the others are great but after eating on of each I'm done! Ready to explode!! Many if the pasta dishes are made with home made pasta and I've never had a bad one. I moved away fifteen years ago to the Hudson Valley - about 90 minutes away but whenever I am on LI I will detour to 1- have a couple of slices and 2 bring several slices home. Mike the owner is a friendly guy who still recognizes me whenever I walk through the door. The have two other places that are great also but this is still my favorite pizza/pasta restaurant if all time !!

Sam K.

Yelp
16.95 for a kids penne alla vodka. They up charge $3 to have vodka sauce instead of marina . Insane.

Craig M.

Yelp
This is the only place we go to for great Italian food. Great pizza for takeout and the Italian restaurant with food that my grandmother used to make for Sunday dinner. Very reasonably priced with portions that are big enough to eat the next day. It's family run and there is always a difference when the owner is watching. Give it a try and you will be going back for more
google avatar

Sal S.

Yelp
I was with my family that has been here before and raves about the food and staff. We were served by Noel. He is really an amazing server and clearly loves his job. He made the evening even better. The food was good. I got the chicken Sinatra and it's very good. The portions are very large I could only eat half and took the other half home. I will definitely be back. You would never know there was a restaurant with a nice ambiance from the look of the entrance which is a pizza place.
google avatar

Masha S.

Yelp
Not only does this place serve delicious pizza but they also a great selection of entrees. We snagged a booth and ordered the cavatelli Sardinia, crispo salad with chicken cutlet and a classic spaghetti and meatballs. The cavatelli was served with pink sauce and crumbled sausage and it was delightful. That pink sauce by itself was a 10/10. The meatballs were super tender, light and extremely well seasoned. Loved the salad and I wish I bathe in that creamy Italian dressing it was scrumptious. This really hit the spot after a long day and I'm glad we stopped for a wonderful dinner and we will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Francesco L.

Yelp
I am sorry but this slice was just terrible. I do not know why I used to love this when I was younger, but I am originally from Hicksville and moved to LA 7 years ago, found myself wanting to try regular slices while back home for summer. The dough had no taste at all, the sauce was off too along with the mozzarella. I don't know if they have lost their love for pizza, but I will not be visiting again anytime soon. Oh and to top it all off it was $3.25. Save your money folks.

Barbara W.

Yelp
I have been going to Pasteria since I was a kid. (for over 35 years) The food is great as is the waiter service. I have been placing to go orders about 3 times a week for the last few months. I always order the same thing. The manager (I believe her name is Melissa) who is the owner's daughter often takes the orders. Today and recently another time the order was incorrect. She was the one who took both of those orders. She insisted that I said the wrong thing on the phone both times. She was rude and very argumentative. I called to speak to the owner (Mike) and left two messages and still have not heard back. He is the manager's father so who know if I will get a call back. I am very disappointed as I love the food there and am a small business owner myself and would never argue with a customer like she did with me. Bye bye Pasteria.
google avatar

Chris Z.

Yelp
My feeling has always been you could rate a pizzeria by how a plain Neapolitan slice is...everything else is kinda based from there. If the sauce and cheese are good, most everything else should be pretty ok. Well, not a great slice here, folks. The sauce was a bit too thin and didn't have a "fresh made" taste and the cheese was a bit salty. I'm hoping it was a fluke and will be fair and try again. Now, I also had a "3 way" slice...it's a Sicilian style with pepperoni, chicken, and cheese....this was pretty good and I recommend it. Even the crust was nice...crispy on the outside and not like a crouton on the inside (which happens too often). Again, I'll try again in case i just got a bad slice and will update. Kinda torn here...try it for yourself...

Barbara T.

Yelp
Sole oreganata with broccoli rabe and potato croquettes and Chicken Sinatra: delicious, and enough food to take home for dinner next day. Would have liked it more if our waiter came by once, but that isn't always the case there. Not sure why we were ignored as he was chatting on the other side of the room, asked another waiter for another utensil and water. I would recommend eating here, food is good, staff always friendly.
google avatar

Roberta S.

Yelp
Was visiting family on Long Island and met a friend for dinner. I had not been there in a very long time and was glad to see it was still good and the prices were reasonable. I had the veal parmigiana and I have to say the portion was very large.
google avatar

Roger H.

Yelp
I was in the area looking for a lunch place. Pasta-eria is clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly and efficient. I got a slice of the chicken a la vodka and the grandma. Both were far above average. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely go back.
google avatar

Doug ..

Yelp
Hands down the best meal I had in Long Island during a week long stay. I ordered a pie to go and it was a home run too. The restaurant was spotless and the staff was friendly, professional and attentive. This is what a great restaurant was like before the pandemic, so it was wonderful to have excellent service with a smile and tasty food again. Mike, the owner and his son are devoted to making your experience a great one. From California, but I'll be back!
google avatar

Haley R.

Yelp
My family orders from here very often and I've never been disappointed. Have tried pastas, apps, sides, pizza, and more from here and everything is great. Not my fave slices but they have a great bar style pizza that I loveee! Garlic knots are good too. They have a great restaurant/dining room option. Not too fancy so able to go on a whim, but sometimes there is a wait. Will continue to order and sit in here
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite places to visit when I'm back home in Long Island. This is the pizza/pasta place I used to go to since I was younger so there's definitely a bit of nostalgia in my review. But the food is so good I kept coming back for more! I always get the same dish here linguine con vongole (red sauce for me and white sauce for my mom). I'm happy that this place still exists and hope it continues to stay around for a long time. On that note, it looks like there was a glitch in their system and they only charge be one lunch special instead of two. My bill came out to be $20 and I thought that was way too little and notified the waiter. Apparently this was going on 3 months and they didn't know until I pointed it out to them. Shame on whoever decided to take advantage of their glitch during a time when small businesses need help! This is a small business that I hope to see for years to come.

Yelp
Horrible attitude horrible service. Menu prices online don't match what's on the website and they try to act like I'm an idiot and don't know how to pull up a menu. A month ago I went in- ordered my 3 meals and when I got in there the prices were SIGNIFICANTLY different than when I looked at the prices online to order. I got the excuse that someone wasn't doing their job and prices had gone up. Fine. Now a month later the same issue and the VERY NASTY PERSON MIKE BEHIND THE COUNTER couldn't give two craps about customer service again insisted the menu isn't available on the website then gave me the old "oh well" when I told him he should be honoring the prices from his online menu. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. Yes I'm aware prices have gone up but it's your job to update your menu not mine.

Yelp
Usually love everything this place serves but had a craving for risotto so gave it a try. It was so bad. The rice was under cooked (was still crunchy), it ate more like a fried rice than risotto it was so dry, shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. When I complained to the waiter his reply was, "that's how we make it. No one has ever complained." I told him that I'm complaining and all the reasons why and he just looked at me and shrugged and said "sorry about that" and walked away. I'll still come back for their pizza but never again for the risotto. Also very disappointed with the way the waiter handled it. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
This place was very good way back like 2007 ish was the last time I was there. Presently, My sister came in from Pennsylvania. We were out shopping as I passed the place. I told my sister this place is pretty good. Let's go have lunch. Although we just got pizza, it was horrible. It was dry old and cold. Very disappointed.

Rosemary C.

Yelp
Been there several times, always good food and service. However last night they started sweeping and washing floors at 7:50 p.m- while we were still having our dinner. Not very nice! Place does not close until 10:00 pm! Definitely felt rushed out.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Terrible. I ordered a small grilled chicken Caesar salad to go. They're not kidding when they say small. It's TINY. Doesn't stop them from charging almost 17 bucks for it, though. As I was leaving and paid already, I took a peek inside and saw that the chicken was laying on top of the salad without dressing, so I asked for a side of dressing for the chicken. The guy with the scruffy beard rudely says, "we charge for dressing." I said "this was $17... you're going to charge me even more?" He says, "yup... Eighty cents." I looked at him thinking he would just say, "Never mind the charge" and hand me a dressing, but nope, so I left without one. Then I get to work and open my salad and the chicken is burnt. Looks burnt, tastes burnt, dried out. How dare they charge this much and pass this off to their customers?! I called to tell them, and without even apology, he tells me, "Well, I can give you credit, but you have to bring the food in. That's our policy." I said, " I want my money back." He said, "yeah, but our policy is you have to bring it back." I said fine. Now I have no lunch and have to drive back there to get my money back... What a bust! I've been going here since I was a kid, but I doubt they'll be in business much longer with their terrible customer service and ridiculous non-customer-friendly "policies" that will drive many customers away.

Yelp
Best food always. Service, food, owners are the best. Always on point. More restaurants should be like this.

Doug F.

Yelp
Always great food and wonderful service. Seating is plentiful and the kitchen serves quickly
google avatar

Yelp
Best chicken parm hero in the area. I've been eating it for 15 years and it never disappoints. Grandpa slice is also incredible here. Great takeout.
google avatar

Brianne B.

Yelp
I come here often and the food is always great. They just redid the interior and it's got a great vibe. Rigatoni Theresa is the absolute best. Only downside is that we often feel rushed when there. Several times they have brought out the bill without even asking if we want coffee or dessert

Yelp
When I come home to Long Island, it's my mission to get to a hole in the wall - or rather, a hole in a strip mall - Italian joint. My parents had suggested Pasta-Eria as a family dinner, and they chose wisely. At the front of the store, located next to a Staples (classic Long Island), was a pizza shop. In the back was a sit down Italian restaurant. The menu was expansive, and I frankly had a hard time choosing a meal. We started with the friend zucchini and the fried mozzarella, and both were perfect. The zucchini was was still crispy and the mozzarella cake as five large pieces, easily cut and shared. Then came my massive meal of fusilli campagnola, which was fusilli pasta with broccoli rabe, spicy Italian sausage, and sundries tomatoes in a roasted garlic and oil sauce. The plate was basically two meals in one serving for the cost of one meal. Major score. The pasta was fresh, the vegetables in it were perfection, and the meal left me satisfied beyond belief. I recommend coming here for a nice, casual dinner if you're in the area.

Leslie H.

Yelp
I got risotto. The best part of risotto is it creaminess they got the seafood right, the sauce with meh. The thing is, it wasn't risotto. It was rice with sauce. I got a slice there a few weeks ago and I thought I'm not gonna judge a restaurant by a single slice. Sadly, two in a row? I won't go back.
