While moist, the flavor in the cakes was really off. Tried the pineapple, strawberry, chocolate and coffee. Coffee was the favorite, followed by pineapple. Beware that the strawberry and chocolate flavors have an alcohol free strawberry rum and that was an incredibly strong flavor and no one at our gathering could stomach it. Was thinking it would be more refreshing since there were fresh strawberries in the middle, but it was all that rum flavor.

Purchased a few cakes from here. Great taste. However, prices have gone up quite a bit.

We ALWAYS get our birthday cakes from here. Affordable tres leches cakes ready within three days (depends on the size of the cake we typically get a small one). I love this bakery!

I am sad to give the place a 3 start. I have buy cakes here before and they were soo good, the right Tres Leches cake, not too sweet, not too moist. But the one I bought yesterday was dry. I bought a mocha one and it was too much frosting inside and the bread texture was dry. Maybe was just a bad day. Hopefully owners see my review and fix the problem. Because I really liked their cakes. The jello was really good. Their prices are very reasonable compared to others bakeries in the area. Cake for 20 people is $30 dls and the huge jello $20.

Their cake flavor they made for my daughter bday was okay I thought it was going to taste more like strawberry cream . And they are expensive their cakes starts at 230.00 - 250.00 even if it plain cake ...

After googling to try to find a good tres leches cake in the Twin Cities I noticed this one came up on several lists - I needed one for a birthday and was quoted $50 for this 6 inch cake. I was a bit nervous as $50 seemed a little high but after picking it up and seeing how gorgeous it was in person I was already happy with my decision. The best past was obviously cutting into and eating it! I bake frequently as a hobby and would pay $50 again for this cake in a HEARTBEAT. The texture, the flavor, the consistency in both the cake layer heights and how they were baked - it all was perfect. We got 8 generous slices out of this cake and everyone was able to enjoy the fresh fruit on top (although the dipped strawberries I think are the best!). It was perfectly soaked so that it wasn't dry whatsoever but also was able to stand up and not squish under the weight of the toppings. The cake also wasn't too sweet whatsoever (the boarder frosting on the bottom was a little sweet but there's so little of it it didn't make a difference). Overall definitely happy with this purchase and will be ordering from Pastelería Gama again in the future!

I ordered the 10" tres leches cake. It was delivered promptly, earlier then expected. It was delicious and beautiful. I will certainly be ordering again, or going in to try some other desserts. Thank you

This is not your typical Mexican bakery. There are no pastries here. Pasteleria Gama makes cakes. And only cakes. "Pasteleria" means "cake shop" in Spanish. Entering the small shop one comes face-to-face with a huge display case filled with a variety of cakes in a rainbow of intense colors. A feast for the eyes (there is nothing subtle about the Mexican color palette). We pre-ordered a tres leches cake for a birthday celebration. The cake was ready when we arrived at the appointed time. While the counter person showed me the cake before packaging it, my eye kept wandering to the cake decorator in the rear of the shop. He was definately in his element, a "performance artist" carefully applying a layer of white frosting to a tall cake that slowly spun on a lazy susan. Had I not been in a hurry I would have stayed to watch him complete his work. Our 8" tres leches cake, which easily serves 12-15 people, was pricey at $30, but it was fabulous. Moist, but not soakingly wet. Flavorful frosting that was not too sweet. If you're in the mood for a very special cake for a special occassion, or just 'cause, give Paseleria Gama a try.

This was the best cake I've ever had! I found them on yelp and gave them a call to order a plain vanilla cake with frosting. It was moist and the buttercream frosting and filling were perfect. I had no idea how big of a cake or what I wanted and they were very very helpful and understanding. I bought this for my grandma's 80th birthday and she said it's the best cake she's ever had also. My whole family raves about it and they decorated it beautifully with fresh strawberries, strawberries, and a chocolate drip. Sadly I didn't get a picture but this will be my go to bakery now.

After having a last-minute disaster making cupcakes for my son's wedding reception, I ran to Pasteleria Gama to see if I could get a cake. It was very last minute. The people there were so kind and accommodating. I got three beautiful tres-leches cakes. They were beautiful and a huge hit with the bride and groom, and all the guests. They saved me last minute! The cakes taste scratch-made, are moist and fresh. Just the right amount of sweetness, too. Very reasonably priced as well.

Their cakes are amazing and so good that not even COVID 19 will make you not order from this guys. To me the experience was very pleasant, everything that I ordered, was ready on time and ready for deliciousness!!! Please open another store by Bloomington or Burnsville, please!

$$$140 for an 8 inch red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting, decorated with lettering and some basic flowers. That's the price I was just quoted!!!! Hahaha!

A friend picked up a lovely cake from Pasteleria Gama for my birthday last week -- it made my weekend. My housemates had never had tres leches cake and absolutely loved it. Not too moist or dry, delicious cream and such a beautiful presentation. We paired it with some fruit and it was just perfect. Thanks for making my birthday so great!!

Seriously beautiful and delicious trés leches cake! I bought a more traditional one with fruit and vanilla whip cream frosting but they make ones with lavish fondant decorations! I also bought cupcakes that were chocolate and with orange vanilla whip cream frosting and a raspberry on top! Candy was super helpful in helping me choose the right size cake for the approximate number of guests!

Honestly one of the best customer service experiences I've had. We took a chance by ordering from a place we'd never seen before, and we really lucked out. This cake was moist and delicious. Their decorating was on point as well. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for this bakery. Way to knock it out of the park. This is my new go to for cakes.

Picked up a cake for my mothers birthday and it was excellent! What I requested wasn't readily available but they put it together for me while I waited within a few minutes. I would highly recommend, everyone enjoyed it and we will be coming here again, five stars! Gracias!

Cute little shop and wasn't hard to find at all. The owner was very nice and welcoming. He even threw in a few extra slice for being a new customer. The overall Tres Leche was delicious and the pina colada was really good.

Wow! Their 'Rosca' was beyond delicious!! Usually I'm not too much a fan since everywhere that they sell them are super dry. But theirs was so good and it was filled with strawberry and the owner was so nice and helpful!! Can't wait to order a cake for my sons birthday!
