We stopped by for a coffee and a sweet treat! There were lots of small treats to choose from here but I enjoyed a Aragostine filled with cream and that was amazing with a shot of espresso. If you are in the neighbourhood, it is worth stopping by here!

This place is super busy and understandably so! The display of pastries and cakes is full of stunning creations and the ones we tasted were absolutely delicious. Recommend the Wonka for the chocolate lovers. Coffee was great too and service was quick and friendly. A great find!

Nice pastry shop. Pastries are really well done. We got the following, with asterisks to indicate what we liked: - tiramisu* - cannoli*

OMG, been eating our way through bakeries in Rome this week. This is the best croissant we've had all week by a margin. Beautiful too with very kind staff. Thank you!

Google
Ice ok, peanut butter was interesting especially because I only know salty peanut butter. We didn’t try the pastries, probably should have. They looked delicious and like little pieces art. Bathroom abysmal and without toilet paper. It’s apparently also for wheelchair users…

Google
Lovely pastry shop surprise! Was looking for Gelato and came across this right opposite my hotel. Beautiful pastries, lovely flavors and great coffee. Ordered a barberini. Espresso and shakerato. Good stuff but sadly they tried to overcharge me. They said barberini was EUR 10 (changed later to 8) and the shakerato was EUR 5 instead of only 2.90 (big size it seems, though size was never asked). Apart from this pricing issue, place to sit and enjoy. Really friendly service and good music. Plan to visit again.

Yelp
Best cappuccino I had in Italy. I don't even know how to describe how amazing their cappuccinos are, they're just amazing. The croissants are also amazing! They're so large, fresh, warm, and delicious! This place also has fresh orange juice which is also amazing. Aside from the foods I tried, they had the cutest little pastries, but I did not try any of them sadly. The place is also such a cute little location.

Yelp
I've visited Rome several times over the last six years and I always go to Barberini at least once to enjoy their fabulous pastries. I also love the very helpful and often funny waiters who tend to speak very good English. There are times when it's very busy, especially on weekday mornings as people rush in to get their esspresso before hopping on the bus or tram just outside. There's limited seating inside, so it's best to go later when you can sit and relax and enjoy your repast. Their pistacio filled cookie is amazing as well as their pistacio cream filled cornetto. This is a great place to start your touring before getting on one of the buses or trams.

Yelp
Best cafe ever! This is where the locals go! I saw 15 street cleaners and 3 police come and go. The cappuccino is amazing and you cannot go wrong with any of there pastries-all top notch. I pulled what another yelper did ordering three times (and taking stuff to go) cause it was so good!

Yelp
Hit the spot by accident, had to really go if you know what I mean. What I found out was excellent espresso and cappuccino. If you gotta go, here's a place to go to. You can get a nice dessert on your way out.

Yelp
Stumbled onto this bakery in Rome looking for Trastevere and it was the best decision ever to stop in! Came back here 3 times in the same hour! It was cute quaint little shop with mini pastries and cookies on the left side of the store. The middle is where you pay and the right side had sandwiches and espresso/coffee to purchase. There is a small bar type area to sit and eat as well as a back room area to enjoy. It says free wifi, but we couldn't connect to it. We ended up getting one mini cream puff, one mini cannoli and one mini sfogliatella. So cheap!! Came to like 2 Euros. We stepped out of the store and started to walk and eat. SO YUM! The fiance is not so into sweets and he LOVED his cream puff. I don't like sfogliatelle (though i worked in an Italian bakery in high school), but this was delicious!! Came from the refrigerated case, but still so crispy and fresh. Most surprising was that the cannoli was not the star. Needless to say that we turned right around and decided to get a box full of sfogliatelle and cream puffs. We also tried to tiramisu cups which were also very delicious! We continued on our way and it was futile to fight the urge to eat all of our pastries again (x10) - also because we were done holding that box. We ended up not finding Trastevere, but went all the way back in some weird out of the way route to get back here. Thankfully they closed at 8:30pm on a Sunday! Bought 6 more of my favs and ended up having them for breakfast the next day. I need to come back here the next time I'm in Rome. If you're in Rome - go! :)

Yelp
Great service and amazing gelato! We were walking past about to go to another gelato shop and saw this place instead. I got the Setteveli gelato on recommendation and it was amazing. Chocolate hazelnut flavor. Also purchased a small amount of tarts and macaroons to go. We will likely be back after dinner as well! Absolute BEST Macaroons I have ever had in my life - I regret not buying them in bulk before leaving.

Yelp
We stopped here on a frigid day, when we needed a little break and caffeine pick me up. It was perfect. The ambiance, seats, espresso... the tiramisu cup that we tried was just ok... but the espresso was divine. Definitely in a touristy area and probably overpriced... but we WERE tourists and we were ok with spending the extra dough.

Yelp
Location: In Testaccio, a short walk from the equally awesome Volpetti. The place: This is THE ultimate pastry shop if you want to eat superb cornetti or pick up delicious pastries for yourself or for hosts/family etc. Their desserts are so pretty, it almost hurts to bite into them. But you quickly forget about that after you taste what you're eating. The sweets: Superb. I mean, we are talking serious pastry chefs here, people. I tried a plain cornetto that was so buttery fresh that it practically melted in my mouth. No chewing required (OK, that might be a little dangerous!). This was followed by the most perfect Tiramisu in all of Italy - a mini version served in its very own chocolate cup. Oh. My. God. It was divine. A perfectly created concoction. Price: Budget-friendly, but this will depend on what you're buying. Obviously an entire cake will run you more cash than a simple cornetto! By the looks of it, this place is very popular with the locals, which makes it a hit in my books.

Yelp
- Go to Barberini. - Buy box of eight macarons. (€12) - Eat them. That is one of the best decisions that you will ever make in life.

Yelp
My wife and I were stumbling around exhausted on a rainy night in Rome after exploring the Colosseum and jumped on a bus looking for a place to relax and have a little bite. We checked Yelp and it brought us here. Our cappuccinos were perfect. The cannoli was delish. And the tiramisu was out of this world. A wonderful find on a rainy evening on Roma!

Yelp
Yummy cannoli, smooth and light gelato and amazing espresso. The servers are super friendly & patient even though I was standing here like a dummy not knowing what to order cause everything looked so good. The shop is beautiful decorated as well. If you're in the area make sure you pop in for a coffee or treat. If you don't you're missing out. I only happened to stumble across this place cause I was picking up some parm cheese to bring back home. Highly recommend to all the clueless tourist like myself. Oh one last thing. It's damn cheap and well worth your money......not like mediocre food and coffee in the U.K. Cheers. All done goodbye!

Yelp
Had a very nice apple pastry here. They have a wide selection of sweets, and it was very difficult to choose. My lady enjoyed her espresso.

Yelp
AMAZING! Old world bakery. Beautiful, elegant, nice little coffee bar. Tiramisu in a little chocolate cup = to die for mascarpone Heaven. CORNETTO ROCKED!

Maria H.

Yelp
Excellent assortment of baked goods and very tasty pastries. We went here twice during our short time in Rome. Service was friendly and prompt. Priced well. Every tree tried was fresh and delicious. Would definitely return whenever in Rome.

Yelp
Great coffee bar and bakery in Testaccio. Everything is excellent and reasonably priced. The baristas were always very friendly.

Yelp
Most amazing dark chocolate gelato, service was quick and they let us taste flavors before buying. Going back tomorrow!

Yelp
Great little Bakery that makes their own! Not a place to grab a coffee as well do not all inclusive but definitely grab a pastry and then head to a coffee shop. Also the address listed is not correct...

Riley C.

Yelp
Barberini is simply excellent. The gelato is inexpensive ($1.50 for a picolo size) and you get a very generous helping. Despite the cheap price, the gelato itself is absolutely delicious. The dark chocolate - a luxuriously thick, rich, and nearly black cream - is especially dank. Make sure to ask for the home made whipped cream, which is amply applied and extremely tasty for no extra cost. The service was friendly and accommodating to english speakers with limited Italian. Really the only thing this place lacks is a huge variety of flavors of gelato (they only have about a dozen) but they more than compensate for that for the reasons mentioned above and their other baked goods like cakes, cupcakes, and custards.
