Nice selection of sweets. The shop has a long history, founded in 1830, and is definitely worth a stop when in Amalfi. That said, given all the hype, we expected it to be more tasty—still a solid 4-star experience

Google
You need to taste it at least once if you are at Amalfi! I’m not a fan of lemon cale but this little sweet ball is amazing! Perfect amount of lemon and so soft inside. Additionally, there’s a whole range of sweets and treats inside the bakery so everyone will find something for them. Definately recommend!

Hannah Costache

Google
The best sweets in Amalfi❤️ the chocolate is rich and melts in your mouth, everything is fresh, the fruits are carefully chosen and incredibly tasteful.

Rachel Barker

Google
Our tour guide highly recommended this famous pastry shop, located right next to the pharmacy in Amalfi’s town square. Even in the off-season, the place was bustling—a testament to its popularity. The bakery was filled with an irresistible display of pastries and desserts, but we couldn’t resist trying their signature **Delizia al Limone** (Lemon Delight). Our entire tour group ordered it along with coffee, and it did not disappoint!

Ruby McGregor

Google
We ordered a tiramisu and lemon delight. Both were delicious, small servings bur rich in flavour! We had takeaway and were served by friendly staff and quickly - spending €10 for both items. A good dessert stop in the main square after our pizza dinner

Stephen Bustin

Google
Stumbled across this cafe and had a delightful experience. Delicious gluten free almond biscuits (4 for 8 euros). Expensive tea (8 euros). Good coffee. Slightly let down by toilet being close to eating area. Waiters very friendly and efficient. Bought some hazelnut biscuits and chocolate.

Kei

Google
Beautiful just to see. Expensive to buy, cost even more to sit for the same item. Taste mediocre, you can skip as it is a tourist trap!!! Tiramisu is a mockery to the Italians, even the tiramisu made in Asia is 10x better.

Valerie Vargas

Google
Right off the town square. Know for their delicious lemon dome sponge cake filled with a lemon custard. If you are not sitting to eat, pay for your dessert/drink at the front and then go to the counter to pick up your food with a receipt.

Yelp
Great selection and options! Can get a bit crowded, just be patient because they are there to help you and provide you with the pastries. The ambiance is great, inside and outside.

Yelp
We were lucky to find a table outside. We ordered the popular lemon cake, and cappuccino. We are not a big fan of the cake, however, the atmosphere is really enjoyable.

Yelp
I had this place saved to get some good dessert on Amalfi and it did not disappoint! Gelato from the booth opposite the main location and a cannoli from the actual cafe. Cannoli was decent - crunchy shell with creamy filling, but I've had better Cannoli in Rome. Gelato was delicious! Proper creamy and actually authentic! Got the Cioccolato con Caco del Madagascar (basically a chocolate gelato) + Ricotta Stregata (a ricotta flavor) in a cone. It was a really lovely combination and so perfect for a hot day.

Yelp
You don't make pastry for almost 200 years (since 1830) and still be in business unless you are doing it right, and they are! If you are anywhere on the Amalfi Coast be sure to make your way to Panda.

Yelp
This place was magnificent. The location is perfect, the service is flawless, and the croissants, the pastries, and the coffee will leave you speechless. Located right in the heart of Amalfi, the ambience is going to draw you and you'll never want to leave. In our week in Amalfi, we made sure to stop by every morning. I highly recommend the Coffee with Sfusato Amalfitano and the Coffee of Antica Repubblica. It all reality, I recommend everything they have on the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
A busy pasticceria! Don't be alarmed they offer seating outdoors in front as well as indoors behind the counter area. Sooo many delicious choices! A great spot for a quick breakfast

Yelp
I stopped by here to buy a sfogliatella and it tasted stale. I was there late in the day, so that may be the reason? Still, I would think a freshly baked sfogliatella could last more than a day, unless they were selling day-old ones already. It's too bad, because I do like their gelatos.

Jayson F.

Yelp
Ordered a Cappuccino for take away at the counter. The Male (in his 50's that wears glasses) who was making the cappuccino's purposely did not serve me my cappuccino because I spoke English. His two colleagues asked him 4 separate times to make my cappuccino. Finally after waiting 15 minutes and having to get upset I finally received my Cappuccino. I will never spend another euro at an Andrea Pansa location and I would recommend you don't either unless you are Italian. Horrible service provided and no apology given.

Yelp
Stopped in for a lemon delight, and ended up also getting a glazed lemon cake too. Both cakes were delicious - moist and fluffy. The glazed lemon cake had a nice tartness to it while the lemon delight was more creamy. We were able to find a small table to sit and eat on a rainy day. It was busy, but not overly so. There was quite a line for the ladies bathroom though!

Yelp
This place was fabulous! The pastries were by far the best we had on our entire trip to Italy. I had the pistachio and my husband had the chocolate, and both were amazing. The pistachio filling was wonderfully light and creamy, it was just amazing! The shop itself was beautiful as well, and it was just in the most perfect location right next to the beautiful Amalfi church, duomo di amalfi. The coffee was great as well, and the service was kind!

Yelp
Hello everyone! So on our tour of southern Italy we decided to visit the beautiful city of Amalfi. As you can imagine the South of Italy is known for its agriculture and more specifically its wonderful lemons. I have to say that they are awesome! I happen to love lemons and can honestly say there is a difference. Along those lines, our tour guide outside of acquainting is with the area had some great recommendations for us and specifically recommended this pastry shop. Apparently they have a lemon cake pastry called the "Deliza Al Limone" which we had to try and boy am I glad we did. Totally awesome does not do it justice. What a wonderful light cal with a lemon filling that is perfectly balanced. Not to sour, not to sweet and just perfect. If only to try this dessert you really need to make a pot stop and try it for yourself. Now they have a large variety of other pastries as well which all looked amazing and no shortage of coffees and lattes to be had as well. Overall cost was very reasonable and I am posting the latest menu as well for good measure. They are located in the city center opposite the main church so you cannot miss it. I suspect that earlier in the day may be better as the afternoon was completely chaotic with all the tourists but again well with it folks. If you ou choose to dine in you can but it may be best to grab and go. Service can be a little slow so patience is a virtue if you choose to dine in. Everyone is very nice as well and they do speak English and Spanish so communication should not be a problem. Some quick advice, if you are planning on staying in the area for a few days. It would probably be a good idea to stay in Sorrento (much cheaper and flatter) and then take a day trips to both Positano and Amalfi. This will make it easier to visit, save some money (as Positano and Amalfi are extremely expensive) and definitely check this Amalfi pastry shop out! Hey with the money you will save you can take some extra pasties back for the road! Honestly I found the pastries were so good that I would have them ship me this desserts if I could back home! LOL! Anyway, hope this helps you guys out and definitely stop by and check them out if you guys are in the area. I am sure you will not regret it at all but you will need to deal with lots of tourists in some way shape or form. Just keeping it real. Wishing you a wonderful time in Amalfi mes amis, Enjoy and Bon Appétit!

Yelp
If you're in Amalfi you have to stop here for the Delizia a Limone (lemon delight) it's amazing and the re were so many other things that looked just as good

Yelp
Located in the gorgeous central piazza in Amalfi, this is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cappuccino and pastry or get a pastry to go and walk over to the steps of the cathedral and sit there. Either way, the people watching is ideal and the setting is heavenly! We took a tour of the Amalfi Coast leaving from Sorrento where we were staying. My friends decided to get lunch at a different restaurant but since our time here was just under 3 hours, I didn't want to spend an hour having lunch. Too much to do and see! So I ventured to the shops and sights on my own and before heading back to the bus, I stopped here to get a sfogiatelle and cannoli to go. I was super impressed with the care and artistry of packaging! I was expecting them to place them in a bag, but no, they put them both carefully in a decorative box, a gift for myself! Both pastries were scrumptious! I can see why the line was so long! In addition to pastries, the counter had lots of dried sliced lemons and oranges, the citrus so famous on the Amalfi coast. I so regret not getting a few pieces to try. Next time! And there will definitely be a next time as I loved the Amalfi Coast!

Yelp
Elegant pastry shop with coffee or alcoholic beverages in the main square of Amalfi. They offer outdoor seating which is great for people watching while enjoying an cappuccino in the morning or an aperol spritz in the evening. The Lemon delight is amazingly soft and packed with flavor. There are limited seats so a line will most likely form.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot to grab a quick coffee and pastry on the amalfi shore once you get off the ferry. Dry fresh pastries, I tried the raspberry croissant which was delicious, fresh jam and perfect flaky texture. They had plenty of other options. Coffee is also pretty quick. Place is a bit disorganized with no specific line to order so everyone storms the counter. Loud area so sitting down may not be the best. Will come back to try more pastries!
google avatar

Luran Y.

Yelp
My friends and I tried the lemon delight and some sort of Madeline-shaped pastry filled with hazelnut chocolate. The lemon delight was perfect, it wasn't overly sweet and had a good cream to cake ratio. The cream was slightly bitter (due to the rind I assume) which added a nice depth to the flavor. The hazelnut pastry was also scrumptious!

Yelp
We stopped here to get Amalfi's famous Santa Rosa sfogliatelle at the historic Pasticceria Pansa Amalfi. This beautiful bakery is located next to the Norman Arab Cathedral. It was crowded and we had to wait about 10 minutes but it was worth it! This santa rosa version of the sfogliatelle has lemon flavored ricotta cheese in a flaky crust finished with a dollop of pastry cream and black cherries. I ordered it to go and they packaged it so beautifully in a gold box and ribbon. It only cost 3,00 euro which I thought was a great deal. The bakery itself is absolutely beautiful. It was not a bother waiting in line due to the opportunity I had to look around at all the gorgeous pastries and the beauty of the bakery itself. I absolutely would recommend visiting and ordering the Sfogliatelle. There is so much history in this delicious pastry that in my "book" it's a must do while in Amalfi.

Yelp
Nice place to get coffee and breakfast in the morning. Very central in Almafi. Spent 10 euros for 2 of us. Next to the beautiful church and fountain. Great service and food

Yelp
So, I have to start by saying it was 3 years ago that I visited this place. But you know those amazing places that stick with you days, weeks, months, or years later? This is one of those places. We were on a tour that stopped in Amalfi and our tour guide recommended this place to us to stop for some dessert. I have to say, her recommendation was spot on. We ordered the lemon cake and a strawberry tart. Many things on the Amalfi coast are made with lemon because they grow a ton of lemons. This little lemon cake was simply superb. My mom still dreams about it to this day. We were a party of 6 and everyone loved everything they tried. Our server was the 5th generation of his family to work at this restaurant. They have been here since the 1800's so you know they're doing things right! Their setting is idyllic as well - right in the center of Amalfi, near the picturesque cathedral. If your travels bring you to Amalfi, you would do yourself a disservice by not stopping here for a pastry or two. Or 6, let's be realistic. You only live once!
google avatar

Alison M.

Yelp
This place is astonishingly good! I had the lemon cake and the Frappuccino, and both were restorative and delicious on a hot day. Super friendly as well!

Ryan D.

Yelp
horrible service. Overpriced food. overall bad ambiance. Complete TOURIST TRA. Avoid.
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
Flaky, sweet, delicious pastries! The crust on the cannoli is one of the best we've ever tried. 8 of us visited this shop and there was not one thing we didnt like. It is a bit small and the idea is to purchase and find somewhere to sit outside (perhaps the steps to the cathedral) to enjoy your treats. I recommend you just try every thing in this bakery. Just do it.
google avatar

Annette M.

Yelp
We stopped here during our Amalfi Coast tour. The tour guide told us to visit this bakery for their famous lemon cake! So so good!! Also grabbed a cappuccino and then tried to sit at the tables outside, however they would not let us sit down. They said we had to order with the waiter. We had to drink our cappuccino and eat our lemon cake standing up inside the place ; annoying ! Definitely worth stopping by for the lemon cake. They have a glazed and non glazed version; tried the non glazed one and I would definitely go back for more!

Yelp
Sister spot to the amazing chocolate and gelato store up the hill, their cafe is a nice spot in the town's centre right beside the majestic cathedral. Since it's in the centre, there is a lot of tourist creating a crowd here and for a lovely reason, nothing could be better than experiencing La Dolce Vita in Amalfi with a wonderful freshly baked Italian pastry and a decent cappuccino. The fact that it sits in the very centre with the most lovely patio and large centre fountain playing a tune of dulcet water splashes, it really makes you realize why Amalfi is considered one of the most incredible coastlines in the world. The bakery itself is pristine with every type of sweets your tastebuds could desire. A fluffy soft cake filled with Amalfi lemon crema .. incredible. The rich creamy ricotta tinged with candied citrus in the cannoli... amazing. Add on a dark roast cappuccino and you'll ever wonder why people would want to leave. I will admit that the cappuccino was good but not great.. it was missing a balance between milk to espresso. It was more similar to cortado. They do have a bit of their chocolate and gelato offering here but just go up the hill and indulge in one of the best gelato on the coastline. It's the real deal and if you see the lemon or any of the nut flavours (almond, pistachio, or hazelnut)... definitely get it! It's quite incredible here. As for the service, it's more a luxuriously long service... for those who are on tour buses blowing through Amalfi, this probably would not be the spot for you as you'd be staring at the watch seeing the minutes disappear and you'd wonder if you're going to be left behind. Then again, seeing the blue skies, the incredible Mediterranean sea, and perfect gelato or pastry to go wtih that view... maybe that isn't a bad thing!

Yelp
Got some tiramisu here, it was pretty good! Coffee liqueur flavor, check. Good amount of cocoa powder on top, moist. We were in the tourist area for a brief part of a Pompeii/amalfi shore excursion. I think we made the right choice here for Italian dessert.
google avatar

Gregory M.

Yelp
We have been here twice in the last couple years. There is nothing I would not order. The staff is professional and amazing. The food is amazing. The drinks are amazing. The backdrop and setting is heavenly. I have been thinking of the pastries for two years and just got my fix about an hour ago. There is no doubt this historical square is one of the most beautiful settings for an authentic Amalfi experience. Try one ore more of everything!
google avatar

Anchisa P.

Yelp
Very good dessert and coffee. We particularly enjoyed their famous lemon delight dessert, which was fluffy and fresh. Pricey though but nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Pansa is delicious! Pros: - Quick service - Take your pastry and sit on the steps of the church to the left - unfortunately I don't know the proper italian names for these desserts, but I really enjoyed my flaky, stuffed croissant with lemon cream. My husband enjoyed his lemon stuffed dessert, too. Typical Italian dessert - harder outside, about palm sized. - got desserts when our ferry from Capri landed and ate them early in the morning before our transfer back to Naples. Stayed good in the fridge overnight, and tasty the next day. Recommendation - put the labels of the desserts on the outside of the case so tourists can know the names!

Jacob T.

Yelp
too good. the sfogliatelle was so perfect i have been thinking about it every day since i tried it. crispy flaky goodness with yummy perfect lemony cream inside that had me moaning. i am sad thinking about how i will never have this level of goodness ever again. i have tried it from 3 different bakeries and none of them match this one. wow. i am sad thinking about it again. so perfect so yumm so delicious. i got the sfogliatelle once, stepped outside, devoured it in a quick minute, sucked up my pride, and went right back in to order another. so good. life changing.
google avatar

Licca K.

Yelp
If you're staying in Amalfi, you'll probably see Pansa's store front when exploring the piazza. We probably ogled their chocolate covered candied oranges, lemons, and limes, the amazing baskets of beautifully crafted marzipan, and drooled over their cannoli all displayed in their windows for a few days before finally going inside. Not sure what took us so long. We ordered a pot of tea and some cakes, and 2 espressos. I've forgotten the names of the specific cakes and teas though, so, I'll mostly be writing about the experience and what Pansa offers its guests. The dine in experience was so nice and was a much needed time to relax and breathe in the moment especially as an escape from the cold air outside. Their menu, full of different types of teas and coffee, small cakes, and types mousse with a tiny bit of history alongside brief descriptors. Our order wasn't meant to be terribly complicated, but since we weren't able to speak any Italian our waiter often got what we wanted confused, no biggie. We still enjoyed out tiny tea party. The walls are a mixture of shelves covered in packaged in house treats, marmalade, and teas, and at the counter a large display full of various cakes and desserts. We left with a bag of chocolate covered citrus peels, some cannoli, and a few cookies. Overall, best cannolo I've had ever, hands down, and a lovely little cafe to just relax and take in the atmosphere.

Yelp
What a cute pastry shop, right in the heart of Amalfi. The options are overwhelming!! We ended up sitting outside and ordering the lemon cake and some sort of chocolate mouse cookie sandwich (it looked too good - - we didn't even ask what it was) and some cappuccinos. All were delicious! Would definitely recommend this place. Seems to be really high quality compared to other pastry shops around.
google avatar

Hector M.

Yelp
Do: - Get a table outside - Order a coffee / pastry - People watch on the piazza This place truly is La Dolce Vita....I found any reason to go and enjoy a coffee and any one of their amazing lemon pastries: breakfast, mid-afternoon snack, dessert, and just because...
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
OMG- the BEST Sfogliatelle, or "lobster tail," I have ever had in my entire life!! I have dreams about how unbelievable this pastry was- it was hot(apparently the way it was traditionally meant to be eaten, however I've never had the pleasure of enjoying a warm one in the past) perfectly crispy on the outside and so soft and chewy on the inside. They had a few different versions with different fillings. I went with the lemon, which was the best lemon pastry filling I've ever had(had to go with the lemon considering it's an amalfi specialty)-- it had a real lemon fresh flavoring(not artificial) and was not overly sweet, but the perfect balance. Ugh, i'm pretty confident that this pastry is equivalent to biting a little piece of heaven.
google avatar

Kellie L.

Yelp
Pastry case is amazing. The 3 pastries we had to go were to die for. Especially the cake one with lemon chantilly in the middle. I will dream of it...it was THAT good. We also got 2 cappuccinos to go as well, delicious. The only thing that needs some attention is the service!
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
Great Service and delicious sweets and coffee on a cold winter day!!! First time here was recommended and was AWESOME
google avatar

Sandra H.

Yelp
Such a lovely cafe with lots of options. Came here because they open early and we had a delicious cappuccino and pastries. I also ordered a plain brioche (no sugar at all) and it was delicious. Eat outside and see the daily activity of Amalfi. I need to come back to this place!

Yelp
Pasticceria Pansa is without question one of the greatest Italian Pastry Shops in all the World and thee place to get the Famous Pastry Sfogliatelle which is a regional speccialty that was created by Nuns in a Monastery in the small town of Conca dei Marini a few miles away. This Pastry Shop / Caffe is absolutley gorgeous and is at the center of action in the main Piazza with the Cathedral of Amalfi just a few feet away. See the Cathedral then go over to Pansa and grab a seat inside or out, order a Sfogliatelle with a Cappuccino or Espresso and you'll be savoring some of Italy's greatest treats: its coffee (Cappuccino & Espresso), its pastries of Sfogliatelle, Cannoli, Rhum Baba, Gelato or whatever you get a Pansa you can't go wrong, this place is First Class, Top Notch as Good as it gets. It's also a great place for a late afterrnoon or early evening Aperitivo of an Aperol Spritz, Campari Soda, Negroni, Prosecco or whatever your heart desires, you're sure to have a most wonderful time at Pansa, "it's one of my favorite places in the World, I just Love it." Basta.
google avatar

Rishi D.

Yelp
We came to this place to stop for a quick bite and a coffee. We also indulged in some donuts and gelato. The donuts were probably the best that I've tasted in my entire life. The only reason this place gets 4 stars is because it is extremely busy getting in and out - however this is to be expected, given how close it is to the port.
google avatar

Jennie O.

Yelp
Definitely get the lemon delight. Be aware that the price for dining in is significantly higher than getting it to go. It's worth the price to dine in and people watch, but I would recommend eating on the beach across the street!
google avatar

Lily F.

Yelp
On the hunt for good cappuccinos, should have known that a cafe on the main square wouldn't deliver. Very mediocre coffee, so disappointing because I know how amazing Italian coffee can be. Super touristy spot, I'd say avoid it.

Gail S.

Yelp
Amalfi's historic cafe is worth a stop for the ambiance alone. The setting in the piazza right below the Duomo gives a front-row seat to the ebb and flow of people. They have been here since 1830! That means their delizie al limone and dolce Santa Rosa have been absolutely perfected. (The Santa Rosa is an amazing treat, try it!) Yes, the prices are a bit more premium, but the history and location and quality are worth it for table service.

Arianna M.

Yelp
The worst experience in Italy in years !!! They are very rude, the service is terrible and this definitely and tourist trap !!! They charge double for coffee and juices if you sit outside but they never let you know that until you get the check. Very bad !!!!
google avatar

Dahokolomoki Z.

Yelp
I had the lobster tail too - but mine was cold, straight from the patisserie display? Anyways, it was a bit too crunchy for a pastry, and the taste was OK. Not WOW. What did make me say WOW was the bill. Two cappuccinos and two pastries came up to €19! But this is the going rate for sitting outside in the Amalfi square. So you could not have a cafe in the square, but I'd g u do, this is a good option out of the lot.
google avatar

Ryan T.

Yelp
Good spot for a cappuccino and a snack in Amalfi. Gino our driver says the best coffee in town. It was pretty good.
google avatar

Asaf S.

Yelp
In the main square of Amalfi. Great for seating outside on a sunny day. Everything looks amazing. We tried the "lemon delight" which was excellent.

Jay H.

Yelp
Firstly, the location is perfect as it is centrally located. Sit outside if you can do that you can enjoy the fresh air and people watch while you enjoy your pastries and espresso. We had a variety of pastries and none disappointed. I don't think you can go wrong with anything in this place.

Jill M.

Yelp
I would like to go all the way back to Italy, just to get that cannoli again!!! I am serious, it was that good. I wish I got a couple more to go, because as we headed north to Tuscany, none could be found like I had in Amalfi. just as a side, as you're shopping on this street, grab some hard lemon candies. They have a burst inside of lemon, that 7 mos. later I am still enjoying. I wish I grabbed more than one bag to bring home. They are everywhere in the south!

Eniko V.

Yelp
You can find way better restaurants in Amalfi. The waitresses mixed up the orders, one of them put my bag angrily away ended up at the exact same place... It wasn't in her way. I ordered a pizza with a relative salty fish, but they put it on the same medium salty base, so it ended up really salty. You know, the small details. My boyfriend waited 7 more minutes for his food, it was a little bit annoying. The waitresses didn't know the menu really well, they yelled from one corner to other to ask each other what's this what's that. The big beer was only 0,4 l. There are two kinds of restaurant, tip included and where tipping is optional. It's the first time I tried to give a relative small tip, because of obvious reasons, but the girl gave me 1 € less as I said. It really pissed me off, because she explained me this whole tipping is optional thing. But I didn't say anything of course because I'm a chicken. And I find it relative expensive to other restaurants.

Yelp
We were told by our tour guide to try delizia in almafi since this is the local treat.. He told us this will be the best cake we ever tried but we were super skeptical of course.. We entered Andrea Pansa greeted by nice welcoming smiles.. Ordered the delizia... Initially just one because who knows if its really good.. One bite was all it took for my wife to ask for one of her own.. Indeed super delicious will definitely come back for more and more.. Yummmm
