Pasticceria Simona

Had a wonderful maritozzo (cream puff) here. We visited the next door vegan bakery and cafe, Cloud Cakes (also wonderful) for my girlfriend and I had to partake in this amazing pastry when I saw it in the window at Pasticceria Simona. The cream is so fluffy and the pistachio flavor is excellent! There is no indoor seating and just a couple of outdoor tables, so you should plan on takeaway.

Came with highly expectation and cheerful mood with Food Trip Book. But been told they are not providing anymore since 1st Aug 2024. Which is obviously conflicts with what was written in the book: 30th Aug 2024. This is really disappointed and ruin our mood for travel. We wanted to try variety food once we entered the store, in the end we just want to go away.

Simona is a little slice of Italy in Paris! Their traditional Italian pastries are absolutely delicious. We tried the pistachio panettone, and a maritozzo filled with the most delicate white cream. If you’re craving authentic Italian treats, this is the place to go!

We found this place through "Paris food trip". Out of all the places we visited on the food trip, I think this was my favorite. Crazy Italian pastry shop in the middle of Paris. Love everything about it. From the pastry chef util the delicious cake we tasted.

Having just come back from Italy with beautiful memories, I wanted to extend that positive feeling by visiting this bakery for a little treat. I specifically looked up Italian bakeries in Paris and came all the way from the 16th district to experience it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The clerk seemed visibly annoyed by my questions, misunderstood what I wanted, and selected the wrong items. Rather than apologizing for the misunderstanding, she expressed frustration toward me, which left me feeling unwelcome. It’s a shame because I was genuinely excited to support this bakery and relive a bit of the joy I felt in Italy. Based on this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

The croissant isn’t flakey or airy at all, but the filling was good
