The 37 Best Restaurants in Milan, Italy | Eater

"Owned by husband-and-wife duo Sissi and Zig Faye, Pasticceria Sissi is an old-school Milanese bakery with pink walls and a well-balanced selection of sweet and savory pastries. The staff fills croissants with custard right on site, and if the weather allows, you should enjoy your sweet snack in the backyard. That said, Sissi is at its best during Carnevale, when the Fayes make holiday-specific treats like chiacchiere, crunchy rectangles of fried dough doused in powdered sugar. Vibe check: There’s a cozy garden." - Elizabeth De Filippo-Jones

I arrived at 4:30 and there were no croissants available, so if you want to try them, make sure to arrive earlier. The service is not the most friendly either and 4€ for a cappuccino is even dowdy. However, the small patisseries that we tried were delicious and the external area is super nice. Great place with some improvements to do.

must try pastry shop in Milan. sit in the garden and get a cream brioche, you won’t regret it…the freshest filling in a heavenly buttery croissant.

My fav breakfast place in town. Amazing cappuccino ☕️ and brioche 🥐, a truly Italian experience. Of course anything here is excellent. Staff is lovely and very professional. There is a nice little terrace outside with trees which is very nice and could get busy in the weekend. 5*

We saw the pics of their famous croissants with chocolate and whipped cream and went there mostly for this. The croissant was a bit smaller than expected and they brought it to us without whipped cream. We had to show them the pics and ask them to make it properly for us. They fixed it for us eventually and it was fresh and quite tasty! They also messed up our coffee order though and brought us the wrong coffee which was stuffed with sugar. Overall, the service was terrible and it ruined the experience. I went around the corner to find some proper coffee.

“In alabaster.” That’s how long you might stand outside waiting for a table—pale, frozen, and slightly tragic. The food? Excellent. Homemade, soulful. The garden? Lovely, if you enjoy nature with a side of chaos. But the real show? A cast of NPCs parked for hours over one sad brioche, shouting about absolutely nothing while blocking all chances of movement, air, or sanity. Ordering takes a geological era, and on weekends it turns into a claustrophobe’s fever dream—with bonus background scent provided by the friendly neighborhood beggar stationed permanently at the entrance. Unsolicited business advice: • Time the coffee-squatters. • Do takeaway only for pastries or charge a heavy “coperto of inertia.” • Food delivery service with the separate window just for riders. • Also: more tables inside. Maybe a layout that doesn’t feel like IKEA after an earthquake. Rating: Food: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Organisation: 1 = Total: 3 stars and a mild existential crisis.

Very atmospheric and nice place! The food is delicious, but the best thing about this place is the coffee. Honestly, as far as I've tasted, it's the most enjoyable coffee in Milan. Once I had a taste of it, I literally come back for it every day. That's why I'm a bit shocked by its rating. It's definitely 11/10

Yelp
The gem of the neighbourhood. Friendly, funny, very local, and fantastically delicious breakfast is here! We stayed nearby and visit to this place was the best way to start our Italian mornings. Highly, highly recommended! Especially highly recommended: all kinds of pastries and souffles with wild fresh strawberries ( a must!), All sorts of mini croissants.

Yelp
A magic patisserie. A stop-in-time cafe that seems to come out from a Wes Anderson movie. Vintage cocoa prints and drawings, old pink/peach color decorations everywhere, and the delicious good looking pastries and cakes, will welcome you in a gem place. You first get your order, eat, drink, and then pay. There are few tables and most of the people stand at the bar, but there is also a small garden with quite few tables, really nice. Everything I tried was terrific. I loved the small pastries, mini-chocolate Linz on top. Coffee is perfect. Remember to take a look outside few windows away because you can see the artisans making the pastries! Also, closed on Tuesday. Weird day off.
