Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread & Wine

Went in for restaurant week. I got the cheese board for appetizer and it was excellent, a good range of cheeses with a complement if side spreads that paired perfectly. The main course was a pan seared trout - very nicely done. Fish was cooked just right and complemented with potatoes and a sauce. Dessert was a disappointing chocolate cake, it was too dry and overly sweet. Overall good food.

If you're looking for a local, intelligently staffed, reasonably priced wine and cheese shop look no further. This place has it all! Amazing cheeses, and if you don't know what you're looking for the friendly, and knowledgeable, staff will gladly help you out! Need some wine for a picnic? Get something from their astounding selection. Why not grab a baguette as well? Then pick up some cheese, maybe some olives, and some other charcuterie to round off the day. Or get something from their sandwich bar to go, all the options are amazing! Looking for something sweet? Their chocolate covered almonds are to die for!

I discovered Pastoral a few years ago and I cannot get enough. They have best sandwiches made to perfection with top of line ingredients and fresh meats and cheese. The deli is great they have tons of different cheeses (that you can even taste test), the wine selection is great and I particularity love the olive bar! If you are looking for a great sandwich, a variety of cheeses or a fun little trip to the deli Pastoral is where it's at.

I've never been to the sit down part of pastoral but shop portion of Pastoral is cute little place where you can grab wine and cheese. They also make delicious sandwiches you can order to go. For sandwich shops, it's probably one of the best in the area.

This Lakeview location is small but offers a nice selection of wines and cheeses, plus sandwiches and salads made to order. If you stop by on a Saturday afternoon, you will often find a free tasting in progress... just be sure to bring your patience as there is sometimes a wait to be served.

I've always been a huge fan of Pastoral, either buying for myself or a client. Tonight, I tried their multi-grain baguette and wow! It's so yummy, packed with seeds and always soft inside and crusty outside. Plus they have Gluehwein with it being the holidays and just so happy to pick up a bottle.

Great restaurant and shop! Wide selection of cheeses (sometimes out of stock of a Gruyere I enjoy-aged 6 years-definitely suggest it). Great people as well.
