What is not to love about a wine and cheese shop? Pastoral is so much more than that though. Everything I have ever eaten here has been unreal. The sandwiches are crafted expertly, the salads are great as well. I recommend trying something new each time, you will not be disappointed! With a few locations around town, this is always one of my go to spots I recommend for a great lunch or quick bite!

Yummy, fresh sandwiches. HORRIBLE choice for lunch. Even when their line is only a few people long, it takes TWENTY or more minutes from the time you order at the counter to receive your simple, 5-ingredient sandwich. You'll be rushing back and eating your sandwich at your desk. I thought maybe it was a fluke the first time, but when I went back for a second time it took 25 minutes for get my single sandwich (after placing my order!). The rest of the lunch-goers around me were angry as well. Pastoral employees seemed overloaded because they had tons of online orders (which they fill before the in-person orders). But they still didn't even apologize about the insane wait times for a sandwich...

Quite an impressive selection of domestic and international specialty cheeses considering this is only a smaller outpost of the larger shop. Staff are enthusiastic and very knowledgeable making solid selections based on one’s taste profile after trying two or three different styles. Eclectic selection of beers and wine as well as cured meats. Perfect place to while away twenty minutes waiting for the next train. Highly recommended!

As much as I love the sandwiches here I can't give the place a 5 rating. Every time I come here the line is just so painful it hurts! Of course, a line like that should mean one thing - the food is FANTASTIC! Lately though I've been making a switch to instead of picking up sandwiches I'll snag some cheese and possibly bread here and meat from Fumare to either bring home or make my own. With these two right next to each other it's a great and deadly combination! EDIT: I'd like to add in their cheese plates are a great addition to a meal if you say.. brought in left overs and they were nowhere near filling enough! ;)

Pastoral serves up delicious and unique sandwiches and salads. My favorites are the goat cheese and almond butter (strange combination but it really works) and the avocado and manchego cheese. They also have a cheese counter and small wine/beer selection which make great hostess gifts if you're on your way to a party in the 'burbs.

Lovely market entirely. At Pastoral the sandwiches are good if you like the crunch of the baguette. I prefer to share the charcuterie at the tables. A good value and delicious cheese.

Wonderful sandwiches, amazing cheese selection with some hard to find items. Some of the best baguettes I've found on this side of the Atlantic. Friendly staff.

Best cold cut sandwich I've had!!! Been looking forward to coming back ever since I left this town. Fresh and tasty ingredients. Love it
