We had a late breakfast here and really enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Service was friendly and attentive. I had their southern.breakfast and my wife, the spinach and swiss omelette. We sat outside on the patio where there were some well behaved dogs under their owners tables. The biscuits here are dense and delicious. All the food items are tasty, but seemed a little higher than comparable restaurants….over $40 including tip for two people. We didn’t pick up anything from the bakery but the items looked delicious. The restaurant is located in a plaza off Ponce. It was nice not having to pay for parking.

Usually one of my go-to places in Decatur, however, very disappointed during 12.30.2025 visit for breakfast. The space is freezing — they are not turning the heat on. The biscuits and gravy are awful (pictured)— the gravy tasted like creamy milk, the sausage in the gravy lacked flavor. We tried adding salt and pepper to the gravy and it wasn’t salvageable. Regarding the breakfast sandwich: The croissant was doughy and under-baked. The turkey sausage tasted like an old, frozen, heavily artificial meat. We did not say anything because the service was already lacking and it was two high school aged people working. We paid and left the majority of our food as it was. The Christmas decor was cute and added a nice ambiance, though most of it was falling apart or off the walls — another seeming sign of them being careless regarding the customer experience. I’d like to consider giving them another chance, but this was so disappointing.

The staff were friendly. Food was very reasonable priced and came out promptly. Great flavor on everything across the board.

Not complaints on the service, they were prompt and polite. I ordered the Crookie. The flavor just wasn't there though, it was very bland. I didn't expect any flavor popping, croissants and chocolate chip cookies aren't crazy flavors but I did expect to at least get the sense of the two and I really only tasted the chocolate chips. I'd consider trying these folks again if I'm in the area.

Pastries A Go Go is a wonderful bakery! Everything is fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. The pastries are amazing, and the service is always friendly. It’s a great place to stop for coffee and a sweet treat. I highly recommend it!

I was an avid customer over the past 15 years, for the exception of two years living abroad, and one year working on my health. I'm so happy that this past Sunday and today I have had the opportunity to reacquaint myself with the current owner/manager's innovations and standards. I had a veggie omelet with a fruit cup, of which the omelet did not contain the quantity of veggies that I recall but was good, and the fruit cup was great. Today I had the garden salad with a scoop of their trademark chicken salad - wonderful! The salad size was generous, and fresh components. I look forward to coming here once again in the near future. I just hope the manager can smile as she is doing a superb job. I so love the diversity here. Miss the fish.

This brunch spot is a must-visit in Decatur! I tried the pecan waffle, which was fantastic, along with fresh fruit, bacon, and biscuits with gravy. The owner is always present, either making gravy from scratch in the kitchen or making her way around the restaurant greet guests personally. The Sweet Tea sets the bar for southern excellence! I also had a chance to try a sample of tuna and a taste of BBQ meat, both of which were delicious.

Great food options! We eat on the healthier side, and there were multiple options to choose from. Also liked that there were non pork substitute options & egg white options. Will be going back, no question.

I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived around 815am shortly after they opened at 730am. There were only a few people there. I was immediately seated and I chose outside. The waitress was very attentive. Everything I had to eat was very tasty. The French toast was fluffy and garnished with fruit. The eggs, chicken sausage and grits were delicious and cooked well. I will definitely return

I've been to this breakfast spot several times but I feel like the quality and service has gone downhill over the years. On this particular occasion, I walked in to witness an argument between the manager and a patron. I'm not exactly sure what was going on but I think there was some sort of miscommunication between the customer and one of the cashiers. The cashier seem to be a little confused about what the customer was requesting and the manager stepped in. Instead of calming things down, the manager escalated the tension to the point where she and the customer were yelling at each other loudly and long enough that it attracted the attention of everyone in the diner Then, instead of showing good leadership and handling the matter professionally, the manager could be seen and heard criticizing and complaining about the customer to the other employees. She then proceeded to re-engage with the customer in an aggressive manner thus escalating the situation once again. In the meantime the rest of the staff was so focused on what was going on that they ignored their tables and the customers waiting to purchase items at the counter and just stood around talking amongst themselves. There was only one server that I could see who was actually working. The customer finally left; and instead of pulling the cashier aside to discuss the matter and how to handle it similar situations in the future, the manager proceeded to belittle and criticize the server. She even went so far as to insinuate that the fact that English was not the server's first language was the reason that he messed up the order. Upon seeing all of this, it makes a lot of sense as to why customer service has gotten so bad at this restaurant. I can't even tell you what I thought of the food because all I can remember is how poorly the manager behaved and how her lack of professionalism is reflected in the poor service that was given by the other staff members. I can't say that the staff was bad; I can only guess that their failures were are due to bad leadership and improper training

On the news I heard this place was a staple of Decatur and was closing soon. I wanted to check it out before this happened. This place is very casual - order at the counter or table service. I did table service and ordered oatmeal, coffee, and bacon. All was pretty standard and the waiter for fairly attentive. THIS ISSUE: I received my check, the total was 11 and change, I gave by card to pay and when the receipt was brought back, I WAS CHARGED A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AMOUNT. The waiter didn't say anything about up-charging my card. When I looked at the receipt the prices were changed and the coffee was added. It seems he made a mistake and tried to correct it silently. Unfortunately, this is not the way. The changes should have clearly been communicated before charging my card. It felt very dishonest and shady.

What a surprise! Been in Decatur for 3 years and had never stopped by. Great selection of pastries, well lade breakfast foods, great biscuits, and great sticky buns. Glad there is a brunch/breakfast place with good prices still holding its own in Decatur after waffle house closed

Came here for a Sunday brunch with my husband. We walked in and were greeted immediately and sat at a table. Our waitress was very sweet and nice and service was quick. They were out of cinnamon rolls and sticky buns by the time we got there but ordered a buttermilk biscuit that came with jam that was hot and tasty. We also ordered the french toast, veggie loaded potatoes, and the traditional southern breakfast. All the food came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot. The french toast was good and your standard french toast, nothing exceptional. The traditional southern breakfast plate was good as well. The veggie loaded potatoes were hot and delicious and very filling, just wish they were a little crispy. Ordered the half portion and was still a large amount! Plenty of seating inside and outside and plenty of parking as well.

New attitude-New Management! There was a grumpy long-time employee that had lead us to not eat here anymore. Heard there was new owner with new employees and man does it make a huge difference! Food was still super good and I hear they are going to make more changes like liquor license so you can soon get Mimosas and a possible, long needed refresh on the decor. Service was great and I think me and the hubby have a new breakfast spot close to home. As Patti Labelle would say "I'm feelin' good from my head to my shoes Know where I'm goin' and I know what to do I tidied up my point of view I got a new attitude I'm in control, my worries are few 'Cause I've got love like I never knew Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh I got a new attitude"

Checked out this place on a whim since it was close by. Found the menu deceptive, particularly the grilled chicken sandwich which is described as "marinated." There was not a single spec of seasoning on the chicken breast and it was completely bland. I asked the server what is was marinated in and apparently its just olive, salt and pepper It might also be the time of day I went (around 1pm) but I found their cookies rather hard and dry.

What a wonderful breakfast place! I've passed by this place many times but never actually visited but happened to be staying at a nearby hotel and decided to walk over and try it out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and had a minute to take in the restaurant. It was super busy for it to be like maybe 8 am??? I liked the homey feel of it and the lady at the register was so kind. Took me maybe two minutes from the time I walked in to place my order and then maybe another 8 to actually get my order so I would say it was pretty quick service. I took the stroll back to my room and was excited to try what I got. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on crossaint, a side of cheese grits, and a cinnamon roll (they looked sooo delicious in the glass case so I couldn't leave without taking one). The sandwich was delicious - the crossaint was flaky and warm and toasty and buttery, the egg was scrambled just the way I like, there was cheese that just melted on the sandwich and blended in well with the biggest piece of bacon. It was really a filling sandwich. The grits were less than stellar though. Yes there was cheese in it but there wasn't any kind of flavor or seasoning at all. I hadn't had such bland grits in a long time but I also understand sometimes maybe places just let people "doctor" their grits the way they want. Added a little butter, salt, and pepper and they were doable. I didn't try the cinnamon roll until the next day but it was pretty good (especially because I warmed it up) and wasn't super sweet. I'd definitely recommend this cute little gem!

Alas, Pastries A Go Go is a No No. We were looking forward to breakfast and coffee here, but the meal was a bust after they served us completely rancid milk. It was disgusting. Our server said that he also tried the milk to see what we had been through and confirmed that he too found it to be completely spoiled. It unfortunately literally left such a bad taste in my mouth that I could not eat the rest of my breakfast. I don't think I was missing much according to the rest of my family. Coffees were comped, whole meal should have been in my opinion. The server was friendly and apologetic and I did not want to lean into him too much but yelp, heed my warning and go somewhere else. I cringe to think of what was prepared with that milk before they realized how rotten it was.

Good portions of breakfast and brunch food, deliciously served. Many folks opt for the patio area. And very nice servers. A good go-to breakfast spot.

1. Wonderful service. We were sat very quickly and the outdoor seating was so nice and the weather was perfect. 2. The FOOD!!!! Oh my GOSH We got the Benedict and French Toast. The portions are HUGE. You should've seen our eyes when the french toast came out. Probably should've gotten a half order but now we have something delicious to eat later! 3. Reasonably priced food in Atlanta???? Glad the only surprise at this place was how big the portion was and not how large the total was. 4. Back to the food - the BISCUITS ARE SCRUMDIDDLYUMPTIOUS. We will be back, duh. I don't understand the appeal of this place. The pastry case is charming and offers a variety of pastries that look appealing, but I can't speak to their taste since I didn't try any. The dishes are overpriced and made with very low-quality ingredients, resulting in little to no flavor. You could easily prepare a better breakfast at home. There's nothing special about the meals here; even Waffle House offers more flavor.

I ordered a to go breakfast and when I got home the toast and potatoes were burnt. Potatoes were not just browned but charcoal burnt. Looked like they were short staffed all over but that's no excuse to serve food like that.

We just had delivery for 30 employees and everyone raved about how good the food was. My tuna on croissant was the best version I have had! I have been getting great coffee and breakfast here for years but now they will be our Go To place for lunch. Great work!

located near downtown decatur with their own FREE parking lot, Pastries a go go is a fast casual breakfast. They have soo many affordable options and soo many delectable pastries! I got the traditional breakfast which comes with two eggs*, any style, your choices of bacon or sausage, toast Or biscuit, and grits or home fries! All for only 10.50! My friend got the eggs benedict ( only served on weekends) and instead of english muffins they use biscuits for the base SO YUM! They are shortstaffed and still gave us such great and speedy service for a saturday morning! Also lastly if you get there early enough today, you absolutely must try their sticky bun! It was like a pecan piece of heaven

I feel like a place called Pastries A GO GO should sell actual pastries. This place is more of a bakery. Muffins, bagels, cookies and doughnuts. Not a single pastry. No danish, or anything that resembles a pastry here.

this place has had a change in ownership. definitely not as good as it used to be. used to go two to three times per week. no more. many food items have been scaled back. up charge os $1 for extra dressing. which came t a big surprise. service is poor compared to prior owners.

Such friendly staff! That was the first thing that struck me here. Very kind and welcoming. I came here for a quick bite to-go before heading back to work. I had a bacon, egg and Gouda bagel sandwich and I was very impressed with how delicious it was! It was really above expectations. Will absolutely return in the future.

Was there for breakfast yesterday when they opened!! New Owner has posted on the door that all prices had gone up!! Pitiful food and service!! The biscuit at opening should not be tough! Apparently it had been left from the day b4 and microwaved along with the leather no flavor pork sausage patty!! A cup of fruit now $7.00!! New waitress NEVER returned to my table to ask if everything was ok much less offering NO ice tea refill!! Too busy laying on the front counter at one point!! Will not return and plan to spread the bad experience in my Condo building across from them!!

I ordered food to go. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit with a side of grits. The biscuit was amazing!! 10/10 recommend. The service was great and the food came out pretty quickly.

Ah, Pastries a Go Go! When I think of tasty, low key brunch spots (because to be perfectly honest nothing on earth makes me nearly as angry as waiting for food while hungover, tired, and hot), THIS is where I dream of. I've been eating here for over a decade. My mother used to bring us here on weekends for their biscuits and gravy, and I cannot even begin to describe the disappointment I'd feel when we got there too late and they'd be sold out. Don't get me wrong - the rest of the menu is lovely as can be, and I've had plenty of enjoyable meals sans-B&G - but hot damn that dish just gets me going!! It reminds me of how my late grandmother made them both from scratch for us when we were small. OK so with that lead up, you'll assume I insist you order the B&G - and you're completely right, unless I'm next in line behind you. Then back off!! Real talk, these biscuits are monsters so a half order will usually do the trick. The pancakes and the omelets are also both perfect every time, and highly customizable. They don't offer any fancy, frou-frou coffee drinks like cappuccinos or lattes, but they'll offer a solid cup of coffee! Come for the food, stay for the dreamy patio and the friendliest staff ever. This one's a winner, all around!

Decatur staple for the last 30 years - Bob Light brings the best customer service and friendly atmosphere as well as the best traditional southern breakfast in town, hands down.

One of our fave local spots. I almost hesitated to review for fear of it getting too busy. They have had rushes when we have dined there. More often than not, they aren't overly full where you have to wait to get seating. Oh, and they have the most charming outdoor seating. It's partially shaded and enclosed enough we can let our toddler move around a bit and not be in others' way. There are lovely plants outside. If I were a little bit younger I might say, "it's a whole vibe" - because it totally is.

I've never been treated worse than this place, and let me preface this review by saying that I never write reviews on yelp. I also spent 10 years in the service industry and as such feel I am very forgiving as I unsmderstand what a bad day is like in this industry. However... My family arrived at 12:45, eagerly awaiting a delicious brunch recommended by friends. However, upon arrival the person behind the counter - without even greeting us with a simple "hello" or " welcome" - loudly announced that they were no longer serving as if we were not deserving of a formal greeting. I've never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. Given they don't close until 2 I can only assume their laziness was the reason for cutting service so soon. I'll never set foot in this crummy establishment again as I've never been treated so rudely at a restaurant. Horrible, horrible, horrible. At least have the courtesy of greeting a party and then informing them your lazy. You can keep your pastries and shove them where the sun don't shine.

You will never find a better breakfast place anywhere. Bob the owner is actually a CHEF!!!!, not just a grill cook. Their homemade sausage and croissants are unmatched in the business. Jenny is a wonderful hostess and the service staff are GREAT kids!!!!!!!

I've been going to Pastries A Go Go since 2017, and I absolutely adore this restaurant! I'm a particularly big fan of the biscuits and the pancakes. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and it's just generally an awesome place to sit and enjoy breakfast. I'm so glad that we have such a consistently pleasant and delightful breakfast joint nearby!

Pastries A Go Go hacked my Google of "muffins near me." Why would a place that does not sell muffins want to be included in a muffins list?

This used to be my weekly lunch spot years ago when I worked near Downtown Decatur. I decided to stop in for lunch and see if my favorite lunch items (chicken salad on croissant, chips and cookie) were still on the menu-it was and is still delicious. I'll definitely return.

Pastries A Go Go wasn't the pastries I was expecting, but still a solid breakfast/brunch. I'd had a pretty rough Saturday morning, so a comfort food breakfast was just what I needed. The restaurant was pretty packed when we got here mid-morning, but we were seated without a wait indoors (thank god we didn't have to sit on the patio in Atlanta summer heat). I ordered the eggs Benedict because I have no idea how to poach my own eggs or whisk up my own hollandaise. While it wasn't an Insta-worthy presentation, it was hearty. There was quite a bit of hollandaise drenching the perfectly poached eggs, but there was so much sauce I ended up scraping some of it off. The breakfast my dining buddy got was basic and nothing special, but also pretty affordable. Overall, the breakfast isn't anything to rave over. However, it's a solid breakfast diner with good prices. Next time, I may have to go for just the pastries that I didn't get to try this time around and grab my hipster brunch elsewhere.

Review is only on Bob's Loaded Veggie Potatoes** Why, you ask? Because this is literally all I ever order. Why, you ask again? because these potatoes are breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even sometimes dinner. They have a 1/2 portion and full portion. Both are too big for 1 sitting, but I like to have 3 days worth, so I go full portion size. These breakfast potatoes are chunky. None of those pre-cut perfectly cubed previous frozen types. These are REAL potatoes cut in chunks. They are roasted up with some crisp still to them and then the toppings are added. AHHH! A breakfast Sundae! Sauteed tomatoes, Julianned zucchini, bell peppers, onions are like the sprinkles. They the cheese...oh yes! The smothering of cheese. It is like the hot fudge and caramel on my breakfast sundae! I always order to go and the girl behind the counter has the sweetest voice. It is just so charming!

This place is like going to your grand mother house in the country, it is good ole southern food. A great neighborhoods spot, the staff is super friendly and most have been working there for years. Let me first start off by saying that I have a bit of a bias about this place, since I frequent this place often. It is one of the most underrated breakfast spots, in Atlanta. It is a community gem and a must try for biscuit lovers. I know some places claim to have been voted as having the best biscuit in Atlanta, but clearly Pastries did not enter that year. This is for real biscuit eaters, not the ones who are watching their weight and want a small taste of a biscuit. But if you are watching your weight, this is a cheat day item. This thing is the size and girth of a lumber jacks hand and not the new lumberjacks with modern technology. I am talking old school lumberjacks who chopped trees with just an axe. They are home made and you can taste the baking soda and maybe even some crisco. One of my favorites is the traditional breakfast, two eggs, grits or potatoes, bacon or sausage, and toast or a biscuit; I ALWAYS get a biscuit. The biscuit and gravy (served only on the weekends) is another favorite. A regular order comes with two biscuits, even I draw the line somewhere. I get a half and order (1 biscuit) and an order of house made sausage (2 patties) and gravy on the side. The gravy has sausage in it and is tasty; I get this when I plan to go straight home and lay down. I split the biscuit, put one patty on each biscuits, then pour the gravy on top. I sit back survey the greatness, take a swig of water, take a breath and dig in. Another favorite are their breakfast sandwiches, it may sound trivial and maybe it should be, because how do you mess up a sandwich; but some people do. I get the bacon, egg (over hard) and cheese (Swiss) on a butter croissant. I can make it last 45 minutes with no distractions. Just me my coffee and my BEC. But you gotta get there, because they go fast. * Note: If I am in the restaurant and I see they are low on croissants, I sneak to the counter and ask them to hold one aside for me. It is everyone for themselves. I will say there pancakes are a little large for me, it takes up a plate, but that is just me. I have started walking to Pastries, I feel like it balances the scales of what I am about to indulge in. Also. all of their pastries are made by the owner and it is not just biscuits, they have mini cakes, cookies, bagels, croissants, muffins. If you are ever in Decatur, stop by; they have a great outdoor patio (yes pets allowed).

The cashier with the short hair cut and fake friendly voice is not so friendly lol. She seems pretty annoyed with her job and obviously hates when people walk in to patronize. On top of the unruly customer service. I was sold a drink with my meal that was over a year old! Guess what??? I informed her and she was ANNOYED...??? Lol I definitely won't be back.

We had an enjoyable lunch at Pastries A Go Go today. I was looking forward to trying their Ruben, however, they only serve breakfast on Sundays. I opted for the Southwestern Omelette instead which was very good. Served with an incredible biscuit which literally melted in my mouth. Next time I'm going to request bacon in the omelette instead of ham - I understand this swap can be "life changing". They have a very nice patio which would make for a great leisurely brunch or lunch. And do plan on a leisurely meal as the pace here is rather deliberate. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and you feel right at home immediately.

The food here is average, but the price is reasonable. You pay for what you get. Prices here are cheaper than the other breakfast joints in the area.

Home away from home. great quality food w the warm, sassy vibe of the diner everyone in town meets at to start their day. All baked items are wonderful due to Bob's culinary training and yrs of experience. The clientele is a wonderful mix of locals in Decatur of all age groups and backgrounds. Top things to order: Eggs Benedict, omelets, bagels, pretty much everything else on the breakfast menu. Now with lunch, the sandwiches w the in house baked bread is always a great option. The salads are fresh and plentiful. The chicken, tuna, egg & potato salad are winners. Uhh....I'll shut up now. PS - The staff are just wonderful. Funny, warm, sassy...like I said, they're like family.

Went back after a couple years, hoping the rude woman with the fake, forced high voice would no longer be there and sadly I was wrong. She should not be in customer service. Live in the neighborhood and wanted to try and give it one more shot but we will stick to Waffle House, the service is better and nothing fake about a Waffle House employee

The best breakfast place! Been going here since I was in college back in 2010 and still make it a point to come here when I'm in town! The eggs Benedict is my favorite! Not on your traditional English muffin, but a huge, delicious, fresh made biscuit! The home fries are crispy and flavorful! The staff are very friendly, hard working, and down to earth! Go show your support!!

What a wonderful gem! This place had wonderful food and top notch service for a little cafe/diner. Had the eggs Benedict and the egg was cooked perfectly, the biscuit was so soft and fluffy. Sticky bun was sooo decadent and fresh, 3 of us shared it. The fruit was fresh. The coffee was hot and fresh. Every person we encountered was so nice and helpful, we didn't go without any refills or any other needs. Highly recommend!

Great waitresses and breakfasts especially the breakfast sandwiches. My sister got her sandwich with turkey sausage and tomatoes and I wanted to try the biscuit. The biscuit was delucious- great selections of pastries too.

We adore this place, even more so because it's got a very nice enclosed outdoors eating area that's nice to bring little ones to. We always get their huge, fluffy pancakes, and our toddler loves the fruit cup. Their Eggs Benedict is always spot on. They offer a thick tomato slice in place of meat. The standard breakfast platter never disappoints either. From the baked goods we have had they have all been fresh and tasty. The folks who work here are helpful and unpretentious. Can't wait until they reopen from summer holiday!

Superb pastries that are chilled and present very well. Easy parking and good Covid measures in place. A bit pricey but a bakery is not something you cheap out on. Highly recommended

Solid breakfast choice in Decatur. - They open at 7:30, earlier than most other non-24 hour breakfast joints - Food is standard breakfast fare but they do it right - Nice diner feel to the place - Service has been good for the half dozen or so times I've been here - Free parking in Decatur!
