Bazilika - Goulash & Langosh Bar

Excellent and tasty traditional Hungarian food. The Goulash Soup and Langoush were really good. Service is friendly and the environment is really nice, but basic. We picked the restaurant looking at the Google reviews. Apparently this restaurant is just 2 weeks old, but the third branch of the chain.

$40 USD for the items in the picture. Quite a few tourist. Great place to try goulash and langosh in a relaxed atmosphere. I had the goulash soup, plain langosh and lemonade with pear. Tasted good but I am not a goulash connoisseur so I can’t say how it rates with others. The langosh is on the heavy side so share it with someone of just have it as a main with meat or cheese. If you like dessert that also have langosh for dessert. I thought it was a little expensive for what you get.

On our first night in Budapest, we came here. It was amazing. The beef goulash and chicken paprikash were exactly what we were looking for. The staff was friendly and if I wasn’t the type of person who wanted to try everything in a new city, I would have when there again. It was our favorite goulash in Budapest.

I tried a restaurant specialized in goulash and, although the flavor was very good, there was barely any meat in the dish, which was disappointing considering it wasn’t cheap at all. That said, the service was excellent, with both waiters being very attentive and friendly throughout. However, I think the price doesn’t match the quality of the dishes they offer; there are probably better options in the city for a fairer cost.

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The waiter was lovely and friendly and packaged up our leftovers. There was so much we could not finish it all. The food was great and it was good to try Hungarian food.

Goulash soup is made of very poor quality beef, nagets very small portion. Not worth the price.

Amazing spot — the food was fantastic!! We had shots of Unicum to start, then a refreshing cucumber salad, chicken paprikás with hearty goulash and a crispy langos. Friendly, attentive service made the meal even better from our waiter, Robert. Highly recommend for authentic Hungarian comfort food.
